did anyone notice that gohan's voice changed so that he sounded 'adult'? if you've seen him lose you here his voice regular but that is just stupid!! Also on the other note I agree that some of the characters have the same winning moves like gohan/trunks tien(only when you fight nappa)/trunks only krillin has his own finishing moves like the jump and yelling out "Android 18 I love you!!!" (batle krillin and #18 make him win and he'll say this)

It's a pretty good game but it's still needs improvement because majin bu and other many characters were not there and the worst of all you can't fly unless your chassing your opponent or you have to be knocked out to fly on the other side I like dragonball Gt better than Budokai because it has nice characters but not good graphics.

Well, the only thing missed right here was the majin buu saga, i'd love to have it, but i hope if there's a sequel it will until extremely deep part of Dragon Ball Gt that will be great! the gameplay is sweet because the controls are really easy to use, this makes easy to make any special powers you want like the spirit bomb.Fun,what can i say?, if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan like me you'll love the story mode i was impressed to see how deep it was twenty-nine episodes of the story and there is also the world tournament a little be hard at the beginning but once you practice you'll improve your defense and your aquaracy you will have no problems beating it. My favorite move by now it's "a present for you" it's hercule's and it is really funny you can even collect the seven dragon balls,and buy the capsule "The Legend of Hercule" in which you have to beat all the z fighters and at last cell.Graphics are even better than the show even thought they could be even better. The Value mmmmm the game is completely worth 40 or 50 dollars probably in a couple of months the price will drop i hope this take a long time i mean everybody like cheap games but, it will not be fair for those who really appreciatte the game and paid 50 dollars see how other people get it brand new for 20 dollars.

budokia is off te hook. Although the makers mess it up because techaracter can't really fly at will, unless the hit you up. Also there should be a turbo button because it is kind of hard to move the character. over all iwill recomende the game it is hot.. But, if the maes could make it better by adding theflying it would be awesome. Leaving out buu was bad too, also thy may add a create your own character section. The game is hot, get it.

well this game was farelly good. it had some charactes and they had good moves. they're were some problems that i thought really brought this game down in the rating that i would give it. it had some of the characters but it forgot maging bu (the pink fat guy) but other than that I would defenetly look forward to dragon ball gt

DBZ Budokai 2 is going to come out too! It tells that in Budokai 2, it has Majin Buu saga and others too. I bet the graphics will be more better. I also bet when it will come out, it will be wicked.

I like dragonball z budokai because you get the oppritunity to fight against and with dragonball z characters. You also get to fight with their special powers. Like the spirit bomb kamehameha and the burning attack. But those are just some of them. There are lots of other special attacks you can do.

If you like DragonBall Z you will love this game.It is fun and has good graghics i really think it should have the buu saga and have the fusion techique dance and the purunga earings you should get to be super sain lvl 5 at least and have Gohan as an adult and have girls like chi-chi and bulma videl and pam.It should also let you go through gokuu's full saga like when he was a kid and you should be able to be gokuu's father bardock and the king of sains.You should be able to be goten gohan and gokuu to do the triple kahamehameha wave and be alble to be brolly.

Budokai is the best fighting game I've played. The attacks, graphics, and sounds are great. There are a couple of things that I would of changed, Take Gt.Saiyaman out and put adult Gohan,goten,kid Trunks,and Buu in the game. Make more sagas including the Buu saga. The feature that I like is you can change the cpu's attack strength. I like finding the dragon balls I think its challenging. I've got breakthrough for all of the characters. The story needs to be longer and more challenging. Dragon Ball Z Budokai is the best fighting game.

I got the game 3 months ago it is really easy to figure out for the most part but what I don't get is why it says P on the skill sheet meaning I can select it more than once on the skill tray to make it more powerful but it won't let me but that really isn't too much to worry about.The game just goes too fast for me becuase in the story mode it it basicly covers all the major battles and details but it definatley would be better if showed things and Goku's training on King Kai's planet and you would have to try to catch Bubbles and Gregery and when Gohan and Krillin where fighting Guldo and when Trunks was fighting Cell.Another critzism is there is no way it could be harder for Goku to go Super Sayain then it is for Vegeta, it takes Goku 5 ki gauges and it only takes Vegeta 4 and Vegeta gets the Super Vegeta power and Goku only gets Super Sayain,he reached Super Sayain2 at the Cell saga I think after you beat Cell as Goku he should get a SS2 skill.I think it would have been a better idea if they had Goten instead of Great Sayian man becuase they did exist at the same time and the fact that Great Sayainman can't even go Super Sayain is a big minus and I would much rather see Goten and all of his little tricks.And I am suprised that the androids don't automaticly have unlimited enegry.I now it would be asking to much but it would be really cool if they had the tree of might,Garlic.Jr,amd Freiza's brother Cooler.They also should have made Freia's 2nd and 3rd from that would be cool.
Besides that it is a pretty good game the graphics fighting and action are all pretty good I would give it a high 7 but I gave it a 8 becuase I heard there where some good cheats.I hope that there will be a squael with all these inprovements plus the Majin Buu saga.

To sum this game up in 3 words i would have to use a big dissapointment. 4 words. the characters and the speacial moves were the only thing to keep me captivated as long as it did. I am a long time DBZ fan and i appreciate the comparison to the game, but I found the realazation to the show inadiquit and cartoonish. Before playing this game i was looking forword for the aireial acrobatics witch were a definate not. I enjoyed the game because im a DBZ fan but because im a gamer to the death I found the fighting horrible. I give it a 5.And an overall ehhh.

Alright first of all the point of the game is for it to be a fighting game, just like Street Fighter or MK. The fact that it actually includes a story line that somewhat follows the TV is sweet. The graphics are pretty decent and the voices are right on the money with a few exceptions. The game is not the best in terms of moves, cuz most characters have the same, but the very special ones are fun especially if you know the show. Another sweet aspect was the fact that you could pretty much change a lot of the characters features, like what special moves they used and what not after you got them. The replay value of this game is awesome, i've owned it since it came out and i still don't have everything in the game. I enjoy pretty much every aspect of this game except for maybe one or two fights in the story mode because they seemed pretty tough, and i thought Goku should have been the best but i'm just not finding it that way but oh well, hes not my fav anyway. I definitely hope there will be another DBZ game, and i think for a fighting game it does quite well.

the game is sick. like you should be able to pick any person in story mode.like if you pick trunks you should have to start in the future and fight the andriods when you start.and when you pick goku you should start at the end of the dragon ball
saga to the kid buu saga. if you were able to pick any body
in story mode i would always pick trunks and if their was a buu i would
pick him.also they should have girls in it like bulma or chi chi

DBZ budokai is good its better then final bout because all characters stay strait and its much faster the kamehameha wave is fast too, and it has lots of characters to choose from and many items to buy from popo story mode not that long by the way and thats what I like about it. But what I dont like about the game is that its to slow when you loose the world tournament and want to play again and also the stupid ring out sucks too you have full health but you suddenly loose also popos voice is too anoying when you buy stuff and story mode could of been longer

good but I could make it better the graphics were spectacular but the player choice was cut down too much and it should have included the buu saga it should have mord basic good moves not so many combos it should have had super sayian 3 and 4 and you should hve been able to turn to a monkey while fighting it could have been majorily sweet if it dednt cut down so many details

It was the worst game ever the only thing cool about it was that you could turn in to super saiyan 3 for goku and that is about it. It was lucky to get a five only because of tis sounds and graphics. It could have been a great game if it had a longer storyline and better saga. Not the shizal it had on there

evryone who says anything bad about the graphics of this game is retarded. this is the ultimate dbz game, this is the reason i got back in to dbz. without it, i would be still playing stupid board games, except for RISK and STRATEGO. overall, this game is awesome, i love vegetas moves and super vegeta, this game is overwhelming with all of the powerful forms and moves you can unlock. in story mode, you feel like you are actually watching most of the cartoon, the ONLY thing wrong is that it does not have anyone from buu saga or GT and the controls are a little tough at first, and thats ALL that is wrong with it.

DragonBall Z Budokai is one of the best games for the PS2. The game has good graphics, the sound, and everything is okay. This is one of my favorite games for my PS2. This is really good because it includes the real voices from the show, and that's important. The battles are really amazing, especially when Goku, Gohan, or Vegeta become Super Saiyans. I really like it because the saiyans start in their normal stage, and then, they transform, not like other games from other systems that they start fighting as a super saiyan. I hope the next time they make another DBZ game, includes other sagas like, Garlic Jr. saga, and the most important, Buu saga. The Buu saga has to be in the game because I think this is the best saga. It needs to include, fusions too.

This game is really good. This is one of the best games that I have for my PS2. The graphics are really good. And it has the real voices from the show, too. Even if the game is too short, it's really fun. You enjoy playing it. When you beat it, you want to start all over again. I agree with other people that say that the game should've included Garlic Jr. Saga and the and the most important, Buu saga. It would have been better. I really enjoy playing this game. One of the reasons is that I'm a big fan of Dragon Ball Z. And I also have 20 Dragonball Z videos. If you don't have this game yet, buy it.

All the reviews up here make good points. The begining is very childlike and there should be a better/longer story mode. Not to mention they should of at least let you play the story modeinstead of cutting scenes out. Flaying should be done at will and the game should be more fast paced. I also think the struggle for the Dragonballs was pretty cool. But the reward sucks big time. THe breakthrough is cool and all but it be better if yu could wish for more then that. More characters and more details. Seems like they rushed the game. But other then that it is enjoyable. Just could be much better. A better version of Mortal Combat it could of been.
