Woah! That was definately one of the best DBZ games i have ever played! the graphics and story mode were brilliant, there were only a few dissapointments about it, for one thing you can't fly with free will, you have to be kicked into the air, and you left out majin buu, but that doesnt matter too much as i heard there is a second one coming out soon, it makes super saiyan look a bit of a mockery though, one flash and your there, even in story mode when fighting frieza only 6 seconds are dedicated to the transformation, but if your a DBZ fan, play budokai to be satisfyed

Ok when i first heard about this game i knew i had 2 get it cuz i love DBZ. the story line is really cool. it takes u from when u fight Vegeta 2 the Cell games. some of the characters u get r Goku,Vegeta,Krillin,Frieza,Trunks,Hercule,Gohan etc. the music is really cool although u dont really pay attention when u r playing this AWSOME game!!! i think they should of had more characters though(thats why i gave it a 9) in my opinion they should of had guys like Brolly,Bardock,Janemba,and Gogeta. but overall its a really really awsome game!!! plus they have Great Sayaiman!

The game is tremendous as far as being faithful to the series, the characters having the same voices as the show, and the special attacks being extremely devastating as they are in the show. However, some of the basic grab-and-throw moves are the same but are called different names. Also, the fact that you can unlock the Great Saiyaman but cannot fight against Pikkon is a bit disappointing. In the series it was Pikkon who was faster than Cell, and by Goku beating Pikkon...well, it proved Goku was destined for greatness. But, I play the game a lot. It's the best.

Well in Budokai the characters are pretty unupdated, i think that they should have put the higher super sayion levels in, like vegeta SS3. Cause hes the best. the gameplay is great don't get me wrong, but i hate the tournament because it takes forever to win and yamcha is so cheap in there. But i have found a code for the tournament so u can win if any of u need any of help, before u enter the tournament u need to put a heart virus and a vaccine on your character. The when u start the battle your opponents health starts to go down that way u can beat him easier.

Dbz Budokai is great but they can't charge up and use big bang attack,spirit bomb,burning attack. And it's way way way way way way to easy I tried it and finished story mode legend of hercule in 3 hours and by the way I think Hercule is such an idiot.Now i'll tell every one that get legend of hercule by winning world tornament in expert level. Get expert level at MR popo's skill shop note it's capsule is grey note get adept level at Mr.popo's shop too.One more thing I hope they make a game that starts when Bardock was lilled to the buu saga. from dbz lover.

the graphics on this game are good but there are not enough good players there are no new ones or from GT. i hope to play budika 2 because it sounds alot better with alot more players. i gave the game 1 point because i have enjoyed playing other games on ps2 and ps1 that were also fighting games alot more. i think that this game was quite good value for money compared to other chart games. the game was not realistic enough because in the game the fighters were able to fly around blasting beams. the game was too easy to complete it only took five days to complete.

I don't know what everybody is talking about.If you think the game is too easy,go to options and change difficulty to very hard and opponent to very strong.I guarantee the game will not be so easy then.I love the way in tournament mode that you can either beat someone to a pulp, or very quickly knock them out of the ring.No other game has that.Is there anybody else out there who has spent the time going in and out of Popo's shop to buy all the Dragonballs to get the BREAKTHROUGH capsule for every character in the game.It takes forever.Awesome game.Goku 4Ever!!!

DBZ budokai is good its better then final bout because all characters stay strait and its much faster the kamehameha wave is fast too, and it has lots of characters to choose from and many items to buy from popo story mode not that long by the way and thats what I like about it. But what I dont like about the game is that its to slow when you loose the world tournament and want to play again and also the stupid ring out sucks too you have full health but you suddenly loose also popos voice is too anoying when you buy stuff and story mode could of been longer

If you like DragonBall Z you will love this game.It is fun and has good graghics i really think it should have the buu saga and have the fusion techique dance and the purunga earings you should get to be super sain lvl 5 at least and have Gohan as an adult and have girls like chi-chi and bulma videl and pam.It should also let you go through gokuu's full saga like when he was a kid and you should be able to be gokuu's father bardock and the king of sains.You should be able to be goten gohan and gokuu to do the triple kahamehameha wave and be alble to be brolly.

The game is great but the ability to transform as a super saying sucks. I want a game that when I transform the aurora is still around me when i fly and bend the rules don't let that drain the energy and the slow motion punches should be in affect when I do a powerful attack. And for god’s sake let us be able to transform into the ape at will and then be able to change to normal form. Like I said bend the rules include majin buu all forms and make a mode where you can train and reach UN heard of levels such as ssj4 then battle in the tournament ape included.

This game is the best DragonBallZ game yet. Although the storyline was short, it was overall good. They could have made the story mode challenging because it was so easy. I beat it in less than a day. The problem with this game was that you couldn't fly around willingly, you couldn't pick some of the characters such as trunks etc... Also a fault in this game was that there wasn't a buu saga and they should have had an extra were you put in a password and you could pick Bulma,ChiChi,Dende,MasterRoshi and they should have had an extra with Garlic Junior.

To sum this game up in 3 words i would have to use a big dissapointment. 4 words. the characters and the speacial moves were the only thing to keep me captivated as long as it did. I am a long time DBZ fan and i appreciate the comparison to the game, but I found the realazation to the show inadiquit and cartoonish. Before playing this game i was looking forword for the aireial acrobatics witch were a definate not. I enjoyed the game because im a DBZ fan but because im a gamer to the death I found the fighting horrible. I give it a 5.And an overall ehhh.

plus they need more transformations for everyone it had great graphics but i wish they had more than just cutscenes and battles and i wonder why they put the great saiyaman if it didnt go through the saga the creators of the game need to make another budokai that goes through great sayaman saga- kid buu saga and has battles from all of the dbz movies like dead zone and brolly they need to make more characters like garlic jr and king cold too i think i should contact them and complain

Budokai is the best fighting game I've played. The attacks, graphics, and sounds are great. There are a couple of things that I would of changed, Take Gt.Saiyaman out and put adult Gohan,goten,kid Trunks,and Buu in the game. Make more sagas including the Buu saga. The feature that I like is you can change the cpu's attack strength. I like finding the dragon balls I think its challenging. I've got breakthrough for all of the characters. The story needs to be longer and more challenging. Dragon Ball Z Budokai is the best fighting game.

DBZ Budokai was really surprising. At first I thought the game wouldn't be that great. The game was awesome when i first played it. It has many secrets, and it takes a long time to beat. (when i say beat, i mean get every single move for all costume characters and everything else, including super saiyan 4 goku) The game was really great. Awesome voice acting. Really good sound. They could have allowed you to fly, the only thing i didnt like was not being able to fly unless you were thrown up into the air. But other than that, the game rocked!

I thought the game was good, but they could of improved on the graphics. I also thought they should of included Bu in this one. They could of made a bit longer. Even though it wasn't that great i would suggest buying it because it is dbz, even if it was the worst game in the world I still would of bought it.Anyone who loves dbz will like this game because its fun getting to play all those charecters, but they should done more for their fans. They waited this long the least they could of done is amde it better, we atleast deserve that much.

Another DBZ game. The only difference this time is.... This one's GREAT!!The graphics are great, the sound and voice acting... WOW!! A DBZ fan couldn't ask for more. A new feature added is you can customize the character to be full on defence by giving 'em Senzu Beans, armour, OR you can make them a one move killer by giving 'em Kame Hame Ha two or three times (for Goku) OR you can make them a combo attacker. This is a game no DBZ fan should miss. Even if you're not a fan, this game will get you addicted for the next couple of months.

dragonballz budokai:First of all i like to say that the game has reached a higher level to the previous dbz games on the ps1 and super nes. But there is one thing i do not particulary like and that is the english subtitles for it. Like com on in one bit of the game Vegeta says "you meanies",Com'on aunt sallys".i'm pretty sure that vegeta would not say that!But anyhow the game has awesome graphics and fun game play.DBZ2 should be explosive with even better graphics and more charactors.Hopefully buu saga and gt charactors are added.

I have to admit. I bought this game on the release date. I'm a DBZ fanatic. The graphics capture the bright , colorful world perfectly. Also the carachters are great. All my favorites (Except buu) are all in there. Also the replay value is great. Sure the story mode can be beaten in about an hour , the 250 capsules in the game adds depth. Also unlocking ss4 goku is a very difficult task even for me ( Who gets a perfect against very strong level people. So in a nutshell , dbz budokai is the greatest game for bz , and possibly ever.

i think budokai is the best game ever for dbz cool characters sweat moves (my favorite is burning attack for trunks) in budokai2 there adding buu saga and fusion techneck and there will be dragon mode where u pick four charaters and find the dragon balls before the villion dudes do it has what if fusion (like if yamcha and tien fusioned) super saiyan 2 and 3 for goku also u can upload the stats u have on budokai and put them on budOKAI2 BUT U WILL LOSE EVERYTHING ON BUDOKAI1 so go and the came (budokai2 is coming out in december)
