The game over all is great and everything. The game just needs a better fighting system. Another flaw is the fact that it has nothing to do with actual power level. Krillin was somehow able to beat Gohan(that's who I was) even though I had him go Super Saiyan-jin 2. What I love about it is to finally be able to go to Super Saiyan-jin. Basically, it's one of the best I've ever played.

This game is wicked, except, that the Buu saga wasn't on it *cries*. The graphics are wicked but i reckon there should have been more episodes because they were too easy to complete! The good thing about it is that you can build your own custom made character ;). I reckon they should have used the American voices instead of japanese, Goku sounding like a girl is just too plain weird!!! O_o

Man the the best graphics ever. Who would of thought a DBZ game whould be this good. Althought Buu isn't in the game it's still the best. There are so many secrets, things to buy, and a lot of fighters to select from. If there is anybody out there that knows if there is any thing else after the Buu saga please e-mail me thanks. Oh and next time they should add the fighters from the movies like Cooler.

it is so cool i wasnt of it for aguess. i love everything but i didnt like it wen you never got buu and never done the buu saga and you cant go to super sayain 3 and 4 but the game is great doh.if you like dbz budokai you will love dbz2 which will have buu and even more charaters you can even create saiyan and other charaters of you choice like buu and super saiyan 4 goku as 1 and that is all i no and if you like dbz bud go and rush and buy it.

First of all as a DBZ fan I was blown away at just how accurate they were with the levels, character apperince and how well they followed the show. I have to admit I was a little dissopointed that Choitzu wasn't playible. All of you who say that it is bad because the Bu Saga wasn't in it: you have to remember the Bu saga only started recintly and the game has been in production for years. Also it is MAJIN BU not MARGIN BOO. Get it right people! Also the Garlic Jr. Saga was the shortest saga not not that relevent so there was no point in putting it in the game. The game graphics were WONDERFUL as well as sound/speech (I loved that they got the actors to do the voices) and gameplay. Although it was great and will continue to be so for a long time like I said I was a little dissipointed about the lack of Choitzu and the fact that you can not fly on command as you shuld be able to in my opinion.

its a good game if you like button bashing games but it was very very short and easy to complete.You cant go to super saiyen 3 or 4 and you cant fuse with other carecters. I think there could be some improvements like the graphics and the languige, (its in flamin japinese.)

DBZ Budokai is awesome. The only downy is whre in the hell is the Kid Buu saga and they should have alot more characters.I am a big DBZ fan. This is why I give this game a TEN!!! But out of all those mistakes this is the best game in the world.

I agree with my cousin on page three of the reviews for two reasons.(My Cousin is Hero Yuy) One we like Gundum Wing. Two, DBZ games have to go from beginning to end. This review is short, sweet, and under word limit but I don't care. I have over two hundered in my school who say the the same thing. I don't speak for myself but I speak for the people that I know and that want better. I will be heard and will make sure of it. This is my review.

Budokai was a very good game. I loved how they made it crazy 3rd but still kept the cartoon feel to it. I loved how you can redo the story mode with other people and how there was the humourus extras after every saga i.e. "Vegeta becoming super saying after killing Goku in the Saiyan Saga" and "Cell absorbing Krillen and turning into a midget!" I laughed for hours! But it would had been nice to have Buu in there like some people said. Overall an awsome game wich all DBZ fans will love. (P.S. people were saying that they should of had SSJ4 Goku in there give me a break the game is called DBZ not DBGT, Goku never transforms SSJ4 in DBZ!) Peace out!

the game is awsome some parts can get pretty hard though but once you get used to it it's perfect . the characters are awsome some are freaky or stupid though. but all in all the game is the best i've ever played and i think it's cool that you can customize your own character!

I Know About This Game Very Well. I Have Searched Many Websites on reviews And everybody were just talking about ''why isn't the Buu Saga Here?''. Well, The're Right. At The Back Of The Dragonball Z Budokai Game case, There Is A Picture Of Majin Buu, Babidi And Majin Vegeta And The Game Has Nothing To Do With Them! Let Me Give You A Few Reasons Of The Bad Points On This Game:
1. The Game Is Too Short
2. For English And American Version It Talks In Japanese
3. The Game Cost £45 - £50/$47 - $53 For Such The Bad Things
4. And Finnally, Bandai Have Made So Many Games Such As Ultimate Battle 22 And Final Bout On PS1 And I Like Those Games Pretty Much More Than A PS2 Game.
They Have Just Gone Too Far Now. The Money For It Is Quite A Rip Off From My Points of Veiw But Overall, The Game Is Ok so I've Decided That I Would Give This Game An ok 6. Bandai Shouldn't Even Bother Making Another Dragonball Game Now that You Have Heard Me Say My Quote.

The game was good and all but they needed to add more to the story line and what with Vegeta he can't even power up after super saiyan not to mention Goku. I also expected more of a chalenge and a few more cheacters. One of the two biggest appointments for me was that they did not include some of the story lines they needed like when Vegeta almost destroyed the earth or any of that Garlic.Jr stuff. Other then that the game was very great in graphics and it is nice that they had things like android #17's second costume even though i only seen that one in the no cut dbz's. But other then that the dragon ball's in there was a good add in for the game it is just a bit cheesy in certain aspects of the game.

DragonballZ Budokai is the best it is the no.1 fighting game this year and for the year onwards for me because the Story mode brings a tasty introduction to DBZ fans like me. One of it's major downsides are the lack of players including: Chiatsu, Android*20, Yajarobe,Kami (etc) And where the hell are the rest of the Ginyu force! I fell in love at first sight as i gazed at the game right before my eyes. BEAUTIFUL graphics and fast gameplay keep me in on all days I HAVE STILL been trying to complete it since christmas trying to complete it, I love, so do my friends, get this brilliant game, it's a must MUST get.

Anyone ever heard of Dragon Ball GT? All of you complaining about how DBZ Budokai only went to the Cell Saga and how the next game will be short should realize that DBGT can be included in the next game. As for this game, I do have some complaints, like all of you. The inability to play as Trunks in Story mode, the Great Saiyaman(I'm sorry, but isn't he in the Buu saga?) and you can't fly on command. Other than that, this is a really great game for both DBZ and fighting game fans alike.

This is a great game for DBZ fans. I read some other reviews and it said "WHERE ARE ALL THE OTHER CHARACTERS?" The game is not over once you beat the simple story line. After that it opens up many other quests and battles that cover the whole saga from Raditz-The Cell Games. Also the combat is awesome and the moves are super cool (some like their own movies if you can pull it off durring the stressfull bashing.) It takes a lot of practice to get good at it, but it deffinetly is worth buying if you like DBZ.. PEACE

I Thought that budokai was a ok game but.... it could have gone through the boo saga.For some reason when you are fighting Cell his voice is the same when he gets to his perfect form as when he is at his first form?! I also dont understand how you are sopposed to get all of the people without a memory card.

I truly loved this game. Original voices (except cell at times) and origanal bacgrounds, origanal art also. But the probles were:
1. Too short, i beat it in one day and feel like i dont want to do anything with it anymore.
2. Too easy, I have (on highest diff) been able to completely dodge enemy attacks and get perfect scores without even toughing the X button. I can almost move faster than the system can load what i did.
3. What happened to the origanal fighting? THATS WHAT US DBZ FANS REALLY TRULY WANTED!!! Like the extremely fast paced movement and the occasional through a ball of energy (KI blast is all we have and wouldnt it be nice if you could sit there and charge it up into a big orb) Maybe the dodges could be more smooth.
Anyways, if you ask me this could have been an insult to DBZ. I mean really, it did resemble it in story mode, but in the actual tv show it was much better.
P.S.
***What we need is a DBZ role playing game (rpg). You pick a character and move freely about in a 3d world. Gain levels as you fight and learn new techniques. Perhaps you could create your own character and make it a certain race (saiyan, android etc). This is something i could get into.

I have Budokai but I've beaten it already. They really should have gone all the way up to the Buu saga so fans can see super saiyan 3 Goku and the biggest part of Buu saga, Vegeto!!! Cell made the game to short and he didn't have spots on his arms, only on the back, but it's they other way around! I liked them game but to tell you the truth, I loved Ultimate Battle 22! That, in my opinion was Better Than Budokai!
