This game is the best to hit the gaming market in a long time, o.k the graphics are the best but that dosen't matter, the sound is brill. I think that the makers of the game, should be very proud. I have heard that the second budokai game should be out some time this year, so I will have to save up my money for that one, but now back the game its self, some aspects of the game could have been changed for instance, the game only goes up to the cell saga, I think that I could have went up to the Majin Buu saga, that would have made the game a little longer and that would have aloud some more charaters to come in, there are alot of charaters anyway, but there could have been more.
If you are thinking of buying the game, you should if not you are missing out on the game of the century. If I had to rate the game on a fun factor on 1-10 I rate rate it at 10, its one of those games that makes you want to play all of the time and you will never get bored off it, even though the games story mode is not that long, there is plenty to do, so gamers buy this game and play, play, PLAY!

I love the DB and DBZ series and what i have seen of DB GT. The game is a great replica of the series. I only wished that they had spent a little more time on the game so that they could have included through the Buu Saga making the Dragonball Z series complete. If they put in characters such as Android 19 and Great Sayiaman why not Buu, Dudora, and gotenks. I mean what DBZ fan wouldn't love to see their SSJ3 characters. I have unlocked everything in the game excpet all the breakthroughs because finding all the dragon balls in Mr Popo's shop takes for ever. I was also a little disapointted that they didn't put in all of Tien's moves, tri-form, solar flare, and his ultimate attack, the tri beam cannon that he used against Cell's second form. Even with these things lacking of love this game and would trade it for anything. Hopefully they will come out with a new one in a few years with all the things they missed and include things from Dragonball GT.

i mean that this game has good graphics but i think that dragonball gt final bout was a better game because in budokia there was no build up mode like in dragonball gt final bout and i thought that buying skills instead of learning them was stupid.
Also i think that the game was way to short for somthing like dragonball z if you were to start the episodes of dragonball z from the beginning it would take you months to watch all of them.
and in dragonball gt final bout if you did two of special moves with the characters at the same time the blasts would collide and wich blast was stronger would power through the other blast and hit the enemy the next game should be alot longer and instead of buying skills you should have a build up mode to levele up and learn moves as you level up and it is missing some characters to the game and it should have more sagas that is why i dont like the game to much

I thought it was a pretty good game over all. They could have spruced up on the fighting. They should have put characters from the buu saga in the game. I thought there should have been more characters in it, or at least be able to fuse in it. The story mode was great,not too long not to short. It could have been more challenging in story mode but it was okay. Back to the battleing and fighting. It wasnt violent at all!!! They could have at least had them bleed a little, like when Krillin uses his destructo disc it goes straight through the characters like a ghost. I thought the contols were good through out the game. It took me a while to learn how to custamize the skills but eventualy got it. The voices fit the characters perfectly, I thought the voices would be bad but they werent bad at all. It took me a while to beat advanced mode on world tournament but I beat it finally , I expected to get get a character worthy of being in the game but I got that stupid ladybug the GREAT SAIYAMAN. If they put him in why not Buu or Goten? I thought the graphics were better than any other game Ive played. I hope they make a sequel to this one,hopefully Buu is in it. I finally beat the Legend of Hurcule it took me a while. All I have to say about Hurcule is he sucks. Sense Im a really big DBZ I cant give them anything but a 10. Well sense Im running out of things to say I will say this Funimation sucks,Android 17 is awsome,and Hurcule still sucks.

I think that dragon ball z budokai is super game,the graphics are great,sound is superb,gameplay is superb.You can have story mode including the saiyen saga,friza saga and cell saga.You can transform in battle like super saiyen,and the graphics are just like the real tv show.I'm dissapointed that some characters wern't in the game like Majin Buu,Goten,Dabura and vegetto also you can't transform into super saiyen 3.I like budokai because you can do moves like spirit bomb,final flash,special beam cannon and destructo disk.I'm telling you now if your a dbz fan this must buy game and its only £39.99.

this is a great game but its not the best i have ever played theres some things they could have done better like put in majin boo series but then didnt so what can u do i really like the game play, however the game is short making it very disapointing i loved it for the first week but it gets old would have been much better if it were longer.

First of all i'd like to say that the graphics of this game were awesome. The characters voices, such as Vegeta's were superb. It was kinda short but i was playing it nonstop. That just goes to show how much i like it. The story went along with the series, what more could i want! It was especially fun to fight your favorite villain and play your favorite character with the graphics so well. All in all i'd have to say that the game was worth the money. I know some people wouldn't give the game a perfect score, and maybe they have a pretty good reason for it, but i was kinda glad it wasn't as violent as the series. That makes for a wider amount of kids or adults having more wholesome fun with a game without laughing at the fact that someones bleeding to death because of a punch. I thought the backgrounds were awesome too. I have never been able to see a dragonball z game use their background well. I think this game does the trick on that. The sound and music also adds to the suspense in the story too. These are my reasons why this is the best dbz game out their so far and why i give this game a 10.

This game is awesome. As for all of you that are disappointed that majin buu isnt in it.... well i couldnt be happier because i think hes the worst excuse for a villain ever. The game would be so rediculous if that pink blob were in it. I enjoyed the story mode and the duel, fighting and finishing moves, transformations, etc. Funimation really did turn down the violence too much. It babyish sort of like yoshi's island from super nintendo. If there were more blood violence in the actual fighting like when a character is hit with a blow, then it would get a full 10 stars from me. Well thats all for me.

Finally... a Dragonball game with sagas and characters that where never in other Dragonball games. The graphics are bright, colourful and jaw dropping, the music and sound is superb and gameplay is fantatic but what happened to the build-up mode? It's still missing a few characters (Majin Buu, Dabura etc.) and you have to buy the character's attacks (God, I hate that so much!), the graphics are flashier and the battle system is different but the great thing is that depending how powerful your attacks are you can send your opponent. This is a brilliant game but I still think final bout is the greatest Dragonball game.

If you are a dbz fan, you better go buy this game now! This game covers all the things that happen in the real cartoon. There is a story mode, world torniments, customizing, and much more! people are sayig the story is to short but it really isnt. Its just not challanging enough. But in that case you can go to opions and change the story mode to hard or very hard. That will be much longer and more challanging. The world torniment is also very fun, customize your favorite character to make the best fighter in the torniment. Well i dont want to give away to much of the game so get up and play!!

I just think this is an amazing game. It covers just about everything we've seen so far. From a story mode to buying skills this game is excellent. If you start out with the story mode you'll go straight from the saiyan to the cell games. The tournaments are alot harder and if you can beat the advanced mode of the tournaments you just have to be lucky. Over all I give this game a 8 out of a 10 rating

3 words. Dragonball Z. I personally think it is a good game but Ive seen better. You can definately tell its american made. While i'm currently Japan i noticed that the DBGT deals a lil differently then DBZ. Other then thaqt i really like the game. Trunks is Gorgeous, Gohan is a sweet lil kid and everry one from the saiyen saga till the cell saga is here. Its really amazing how the characters look so much like the ones on the actual anime. And how they followed the storyline so perfectly in story mode. The only thing is. I CAN'T SEEM TO NO MATTER HOW HARD I TRY TO BEAT IT I CANT BEAT ADVANCED MODE IN TOURNAMENT MODE!!!!!!!!! IVe tried everything but i cant beat it. Im sure i will beat it some day buty I stil like the game. The graphics are not the best yet stil atainable. All in all u DBZ fans out there get ur butts up and prepare for battel!!!

I think this game is great i think the graphics are good for ps2,the action is great.there were a few that could have been made better like putting characters from boo saga and actually having the boo saga in story mode. and advance level is way too hard i cant beat it how far i try and also the mission where have to kill goku krillin and gohan with just 3 bars of life.
also i think the special moves like kamehameha and destructo disk and piccolos special beam,etc. were very well made. this is why i give 10/10.

This game, I have found to be very fun, but also frusterating at times. The game can be too hard for me at least, and I think the easy setting should be a little easier. The game, however, was made by Funimation, which is a bad thing. Funimation has ruined DBZ in america to the point of people thinking its a show designed for kids, which really pisses me off. Anyway, the game is fun, with lots to do, so even the best fighting game player will have a long time till doing everything that is in the game.

This is my opinion of DBZ-B. I feel it was a great game, and everyone by now knows what characters are in it and what capsules do what by now. So I am going to state a few things that could have made it better: Some characters could have had better moves. Tien's Tri-Form technique. Tien's Solar Flare. Chaotzu. Cell uses his tail to drain life. Fusion with characters. Bulma. Master Roshi (if you can have that dimwit Mr. Satan in it why not have Roshi?) Use actual animation from game. Krillin's Destructo Disc could have been stronger. Dragonballs should be quest items instead of bought from Mr. Popo. Why does Popo sell Capsules and not Bulma?
I felt this was a very entertaining game at best and many things could have been added to this game to make it better, since it is on Playstation 2 and not Playstation 1. But all in all it was a good game and is worthy of 8 stars.

DragonBall Z Budokai is excellent. The story mode is very short but that doesn't matter. Once you have completed this you can always try the tournament mode. Here you can win ziene which goes towards customising your favourite characters. A really good touch has been added allowing you to summon the dragon which will grant you a wish. Also the fact that you can transform during battle makes the game that bit more exciting and origional. One of the best features on the game in my view is that you can customise your favourite characters adding to them as you progress in story mode.In fact the only faults that I can find with this game is that there is no Buu saga which means no Vegetto or Super Saiyan 3 Goku. This is a must have for Dragonball Z fans, but unless you are familiar with the series this game will confuse you as it dosent explain everything that goes on in story mode. Then there is the burst mode which requires you to batter the analogue stick and hope that you win. Then there is the move movies which happen with all the mojour moves like the spirit bomb. Most gamers will find that it lasts a bit longer than other games as there are 23 charachters to test your limits on and things like new transformations and moves to keep you glued to the screen. The reason that I liked this game was because I like the series and I like over the top moves and transformations and taking on the worst enemies such as Cell and Frieza. Lets hope though that if they make a sequal to this then Margin Buu will be in it.

Okay, first of all, I want to say that this is a great game, even though it is quite short; but people are rating it down because of that. You have to admit, it is one of the longest fighting games out there; it's not meant to be an rpg, folks. Also, many people are asking where Buu is. All I have to say about that is, when the Buu season of DBZ started, they were already making this game. It seems a little farfetched, but in truth, it takes years to make video games. In fact, I'm a little surprised that they managed to fit Cell in there. Well, as Forrest Gump may say, that's all I have to say about that :) Peace \/

Dragonball z budokai must be the best game out there. The story mode is really fun, the tournamate mode is awesome, everything is awesome!!! It follows the story line of the cartoon series except in 3-d. you must buy this game if you dont have it. There are quite a bit of secrets & you can get ss4 goku & every character pretty much. It has every characters moves & gives them moves that arent even in the show. you would understand it more if you watched the show.

The first time I played it I rented it. The bad thing is the two days i rented it i beat it. But that don`t change the fact that it was awesome. The graphics are good, so is the sound. But there lies one more question...where the hell is Buu? I mean he is awesome. And anyone will vouch with me too. But overall a great game i would recamend buying it.

I think that this game could of been alot better. All though the graphics were good, the story mode i beat in one day. The sound is good. But the game is so easy to beat, and it gets so old fast. Even though you can unlock ss4, for goku,it takes so long to do that, i mean it would be alot easier if the stupid game didnt get so old so fast. I mean come on, were the heck is Buu. That is the gayest part of them all. Why the heck does it only go to cell, i mean the buu's are the best part in the whole show. That is the part that makes me so mad, nobody likes cell, everyone wants to see Gotanks and get to beat the Buu's. And in the show Goku is not the only one that goes ss4, gotanks does it too. And the game is alittle childish for me. And the whole game is about collecting dragonballs, and when you do it, nothin really happens. Wow, you open all the moves for a character, big deal. So for all you losers out there that think this is a good game, think again, maybe that is a sign for you to grow up you faggits. And one more thing, why the heck is hercule even in the same game as these guys, come on, in the show he is just a loser dude that gets in the way. So why would you put him in the game and not Chowsue. That is dumb just like the rest of the game.
