The game was good and all but they needed to add more to the story line and what with Vegeta he can't even power up after super saiyan not to mention Goku. I also expected more of a chalenge and a few more cheacters. One of the two biggest appointments for me was that they did not include some of the story lines they needed like when Vegeta almost destroyed the earth or any of that Garlic.Jr stuff. Other then that the game was very great in graphics and it is nice that they had things like android #17's second costume even though i only seen that one in the no cut dbz's. But other then that the dragon ball's in there was a good add in for the game it is just a bit cheesy in certain aspects of the game.

I Thought that budokai was a ok game but.... it could have gone through the boo saga.For some reason when you are fighting Cell his voice is the same when he gets to his perfect form as when he is at his first form?! I also dont understand how you are sopposed to get all of the people without a memory card.

i think that the game is great but still it could have more charaters, and you should be able to wish for anything you want with the dragonballs also why is there not a margin buu saga the great sainman is part of the buu saga but there is no buu why?

When I first heard about the game, I was in shock.My first words after I bought the game were "Oh my God.I can play as Vegeta?! but the graphics are awesome, I loved to hear the accurate voice acting, and the best part? I can play as my favorite DBZ characters (Vegeta, #18, etc.) One downfall though. Those bosses are so damn cheap! I was killing Freeza and out of the blue I couldn't block his attacks and he killed me! Oy've. I would like to see another game, and hopefully, we will be obliged!

This is one of my favorite PS2 games.I would like it better if Kid Buu was in it but maybe he was just a little to strong.It would be cool if you could do mini-games like nimbus racing or the black star dragon ball search {Dragon Ball GT}.I would like to be able to make up your own character but then people would probally create an invincible character.

This game rocked my world and gave my universe a shake too ! It's the best game I've ever seen in my whole life time and I think It's the best in the world . It's graphics just so rocked they looked real ! Not to mention the voices and Kamehameha waves ( pardon my spelling ) . The voices sound just so real just so real , and the Super sayian 2 man !!!!!!! This game is just so awesome and sould be the #1 best seller around this whole entire world because it is just tight , and awesome and just to good .

DBZ budokai is good its better then final bout because all characters stay strait and its much faster the kamehameha wave is fast too, and it has lots of characters to choose from and many items to buy from popo story mode not that long by the way and thats what I like about it. But what I dont like about the game is that its to slow when you loose the world tournament and want to play again and also the stupid ring out sucks too you have full health but you suddenly loose also popos voice is too anoying when you buy stuff and story mode could of been longer

I got the game 3 months ago it is really easy to figure out for the most part but what I don't get is why it says P on the skill sheet meaning I can select it more than once on the skill tray to make it more powerful but it won't let me but that really isn't too much to worry about.The game just goes too fast for me becuase in the story mode it it basicly covers all the major battles and details but it definatley would be better if showed things and Goku's training on King Kai's planet and you would have to try to catch Bubbles and Gregery and when Gohan and Krillin where fighting Guldo and when Trunks was fighting Cell.Another critzism is there is no way it could be harder for Goku to go Super Sayain then it is for Vegeta, it takes Goku 5 ki gauges and it only takes Vegeta 4 and Vegeta gets the Super Vegeta power and Goku only gets Super Sayain,he reached Super Sayain2 at the Cell saga I think after you beat Cell as Goku he should get a SS2 skill.I think it would have been a better idea if they had Goten instead of Great Sayian man becuase they did exist at the same time and the fact that Great Sayainman can't even go Super Sayain is a big minus and I would much rather see Goten and all of his little tricks.And I am suprised that the androids don't automaticly have unlimited enegry.I now it would be asking to much but it would be really cool if they had the tree of might,Garlic.Jr,amd Freiza's brother Cooler.They also should have made Freia's 2nd and 3rd from that would be cool.
Besides that it is a pretty good game the graphics fighting and action are all pretty good I would give it a high 7 but I gave it a 8 becuase I heard there where some good cheats.I hope that there will be a squael with all these inprovements plus the Majin Buu saga.

To sum this game up in 3 words i would have to use a big dissapointment. 4 words. the characters and the speacial moves were the only thing to keep me captivated as long as it did. I am a long time DBZ fan and i appreciate the comparison to the game, but I found the realazation to the show inadiquit and cartoonish. Before playing this game i was looking forword for the aireial acrobatics witch were a definate not. I enjoyed the game because im a DBZ fan but because im a gamer to the death I found the fighting horrible. I give it a 5.And an overall ehhh.

did anyone notice that gohan's voice changed so that he sounded 'adult'? if you've seen him lose you here his voice regular but that is just stupid!! Also on the other note I agree that some of the characters have the same winning moves like gohan/trunks tien(only when you fight nappa)/trunks only krillin has his own finishing moves like the jump and yelling out "Android 18 I love you!!!" (batle krillin and #18 make him win and he'll say this)

Ok it's like this when i got the game I was woried it would be like the old ones but it blew my mind i was awsm espealialy the Dragon ball when you collect all seven you get to make a wish it will give you three chracters to pick but if you don't want the characters they give you then just take out your memory card and click one of them when it trys to save it will say there is no memory card in there and it will ask you t save again press no and go back(first put memory card back) and click thedragon balls again and there you go it will have a new set of people(repeat process if you need to)Well still this is one of the coolest DBZ games I have ever played

Where is it?? waht happend?? I want to fly freely in the enviroment,Please make it happend next time. It is a pitty too tha the saiyajin transformation is so short there is no drama in it is like CHAN! and you become the most powerfull being in the universe....

It was great it didn't take long but it was still good.It would be better if the made it throught the Buu sage.The second one is coming out soon and I'm buying it the day it comes out.It was one of the best games I've ever played.

It is a great game but if you look all the attacks look the same like for example the conitnous kamahiea is just basicly a few ramdom ki blasts and anyone who lives in ireland have the game why does it have part of the boo saga people on the back off the game tell me that and why can't so people be unlocked like on the story line and it is a shame that you can not turn aroze (monkey) what they need to do is get the game ultimate battle 22 and budokia and merge then so u can do the story line as well as build up your favourite charcaters and you could actually see there strengh stats etc and you get to a certian point where you can transform i think would be good and use then certian atacks i also like in bukokia the way u can hit people through the rocks etc.

I love the game, personaly i have some bad points. I think you should be able to fly at will. I would rather to have the entire sagas in the story line as playable characters. I really dislike how Cell's voice doesn't change during gameplay at perfect form, that really ticked me off. I don't like that the move such as continuous kamehameha and meteor break are the same with every other character. Another good point is that you should be able to turn to the monkey form or should I say Ozura. When two blasts meet like galic gun and kamehameha that exsplode in a cloud of dust. That was great, but it would be better if when they collided you could push the enemeys blast back and forth and the person who could tap X or something faster would be the victor. I also think that you should be able to charge a blast at will like charging you fist or leg in the game. The voices are great but it would be much better if they said numerous things in an upcoming battle. The visuals are great and the gameplay is one of the best that I have ever played.

I dont know why all these people are complaining about were it ends. Half of the people that do complain, I am guessing have not seen every episode straight through. Also if you have ever played Ultimate 22 for PSX you know were I am coming from. Another thing to think about is that companies dont stop making games after they put ONE out. this is just when Bulma, Gohan, and Krillin land on Namek for the game story. the best is on it's way. But hey the game is good. Like it I do.

Hey I am very suprised about this game awesome graphics,controls,game play. Ya right my grandma can walk faster than it takes to load. The game is really short. You want some advise getting a barney game is way better than this. I wouldnt buy this if you paid me. This game is crap.

I thought the game was pretty fun. The graphics were pretty much the only thing in the game that made it unique. But most of all, it was just a regular fighting game with flying and energy blasts. It would have been a lot better if you could go to Super Saiyan 4 and 5. It would also be better if there were fusions like Gotenks or Gogeta. It shouldn't be so difficult to find all the dragonballs. There should have also been more sagas like Garlic Jr. and Buu. Overall it was ok, but try harder next time.

This game is the best Dragon Ball Z game so far. The graphics are incredible and they all have there own voices. The story mode I great too beause it feels like your in the show. I like the part when Cell absorbs Krillin. One thing that isn't cool was when I first started Hercuel beat me and theres no Videl common oh well This is the best game ever I actually bought 6 more for all of my friends. I like the fact that when you are battling in the tournament you dont keep battling the same guy untill you beat him twice like other games. This is even more like the show this way. For you can only battle untill you are knocked out. The one thing that would be cool is if you could train there skills stronger. You know level up, like make there attack stronger, defense better, and there speed faster. And you should now be able to play 4 players and, or train with two players to learn fusion after sertain levels. These are all new gesters for the next game they come out with. Even tough this game is still the best of this era. Signed the best of the best.

i think dragon ballz budokia is one of the most outstanding fighting games to hit stores the other DBZ games!!! sucked like dbz final bout blows the grphics are awsome like when gohan trunks vegeta goku turn super saiyan's its sweet ohh and if u are wondering what happens when u get all 7 dragon balls it allows vageta to turn acended saiyan its sweet!!! (Vegeta i love u)!!!!
