I have played this game at a friends house and I thought it was OK. I like the more walk around sort of games, but this was a very fun fighting game. I do wish they had Buu and a few other characters. The graghics are pretty cool to. This isn't the kind of game I would spend 40 dollars on but I might buy it when the price drops.

I rember when i first seen a preview of dbz budokai in a mag, i got so exsited i had to change my boxers. but then i realized that it wasent gunna come out for anouther year So i got depressed, so i waited entill the day it came out. When i put it in my ps2 i was so happy and the first impreshion was a good one. Being a DBZ FREAK !! i played it about 3 times straight through, i couldent put it down. The thing i loved most about the game is that i could make frieza win the story mode that made me a happy chappy. (im a MAJOR FRIEZA FAN) LONG LIVE LORD FRIEZA !! and cells dream was very cool. There were a few things i dont like about the game, like what happend to the rest of the ginu force, why cant frieza become all his forms like cell can, and why do they have buu on the back cover when you cant get him ? if you rember the raditts saga there is a little stage were goku has to stay in piccolos line of site, why dident they do more things like that ? i think it would have made the game alot more enjoyable. Over all me and my friends all have a good time when we play it. And if they brought out a second one id buy it the day it comes out. oh yeah if you think your good at the game you havent play me, with the lord him self FRIEZA.

The graphics are really are a first class spectical. even better than the others. It needs to be longer so I'll have somthing to do all summer long. i would have liked to see what it'd be like to go up against Buu. Should have a wider selection of charecters like younger goku or older/younger trunks! really challenging perfect 4 a PS2 game lover like myself.

Mann....what you people talking about??...This is the best dbz ever. A whole lot better than db final bout. The graphics are hot; the voices to the characters are the same, the moves, and the movies! Just awesome. Did you guys know DBZ Budokai two is coming out? Yep! And it s going to be off the hook. If you guys are really gamers, keep updated on your stuff and give DBZ a ten because DBZ is a classic and will forever be hot....out...

This game is awesome,but I think they could've made it so much better,like when your opponent fires a special or a ki blast you should be able to attack and push against each other's blast,like in Final Bout, but less complicated. They also should've made the gameplay longer by adding stuff like gather all the dragonballs before the ginyu force and freiza do and if you run into them you have to fight for each other's dragonball/s.Oh and when you get hit into a boulder you should have rocks on you and they should show blood as you recieve more blows , like in the show. That's why I only gave it an eight. Man I heard the second one will be just like that but the characters won't look as good as this one c ya.

Dragon Ball Z is good well really good but not great i mean i liked the graphics. they were awesome but my version none of them speaked english they all sounded the same as the japanese shows. i mean could they atleast translate it PLEASE. and sure youve got block but in dragon ball z ultimaye battle you could dodge anything by flying.In dragon ball z budokai you cant duck or even jump.The story was good(while it lasted) but where was buu. On our case it showed spopovitch debora and even buu but there was none of them in the game.Out here(in Australia) they haven't even shown GT yet.i Hope in dbz budokai 2 they put buu in(and maybe even GT) also i would have liked to make your own characters like make goku's third cousin 3 tims removed or something. and instead of just going from the sotry line add a bit more. ALso Goku's super saiyan takes 5 gauges to transform when goharns ssj2 only takes 4 or something also they left out tons of characters such as jeice berter guildo #20 chou sou. They didn't even take into account the movies. I really hope dbz bodokai 2 will be much better. oh and i plan on buying it.

i think dbz lacks characters like gohan as a kid not teen gohan and ss4 goku the people who made the game should make some moves that kill them in 1 shot and be solid to do like every button five times well i hope dbz budokai3 is better i have seen a few videos and snap shots and i looks to be quite good sio i hope everyone who gets it likes it my favourite part is were you cane actually go place to place

Ok, I ma sick and tired of ppl saying the game is AWESOME! THIS IS THE BEST GAME EVER! Psssssss.... c'mon! Ok, so u fight, buy stuff, fight, train, and fight! Well, My opinion of this "game" is it's too much of one thing! I mean, my brother spends 3 hours on that game and doesnt acomplishe one thing! Now, did u ever think how this game helps u? SURE! It helps my bro get even more annyoing! What about u? What does it help u on? Oh, I know what u will think now! "Its a game! We do it on our free time!" well how much free time do u have? U have time to do more things than that! I mean, Dragom Ball Z Budokai, now lets think about that name, and the abilities of the game! HHHHHHHHHHHHHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, it makes me wonder, how does the game make me get smarter and how does the name aract me? I mean The NAME! THE NAME IS SO COOL! But the game doesnt have anything in common! Think about that! Remember its MY opinion!

This is by far the best DBZ game they have come out with to date. This is great for us fans because this means there is more to come. This game is anwesome fighter game with a very simple game play. The moves can be pretty damaging. The graphics are awesome and the backgrounds are interactive. I know there were people in the US who thought they were cool that they got the game imported and had it before me but I waited like a week later and got it in English so ha ha suckers. But it just makes you wonder whats next. If you want to talk DBZ with me and have AOL IM at Kakkarott23. I am a DBZ master. Also Movie 7 coming out in February can't wait

I Know About This Game Very Well. I Have Searched Many Websites on reviews And everybody were just talking about ''why isn't the Buu Saga Here?''. Well, The're Right. At The Back Of The Dragonball Z Budokai Game case, There Is A Picture Of Majin Buu, Babidi And Majin Vegeta And The Game Has Nothing To Do With Them! Let Me Give You A Few Reasons Of The Bad Points On This Game:
1. The Game Is Too Short
2. For English And American Version It Talks In Japanese
3. The Game Cost £45 - £50/$47 - $53 For Such The Bad Things
4. And Finnally, Bandai Have Made So Many Games Such As Ultimate Battle 22 And Final Bout On PS1 And I Like Those Games Pretty Much More Than A PS2 Game.
They Have Just Gone Too Far Now. The Money For It Is Quite A Rip Off From My Points of Veiw But Overall, The Game Is Ok so I've Decided That I Would Give This Game An ok 6. Bandai Shouldn't Even Bother Making Another Dragonball Game Now that You Have Heard Me Say My Quote.

Hey this game is rubbish it doesn't have COOLER that and it doesnt show all of freizas forms which is bogus and it doesnt have their father and you cant fuse characters like goku and vegeta becoming vegeto or cooler and freiza (heck YEAH!!) man this game reaks of dullness. whoever made it obviously dont appreciate the villains or transformations and another thing why cant the bad guy win for god's sake or at least give the good guys a lot harder of a fight than just act $#< remove me > at !y and lose their chance at victory. thats stupid. and the people that made the cooler movies suxx!!

There is no fun to this game. U cant counter any big attacks. The graphics are not good at all. This is not a good fighting game. The whole game is doing moves and powering up. Do not buy this game. I would not buy this game for 20 dollars. Maybe not even 10. The best part of this game is the characters and they all have there own moves. Thats about it.

i played on it and it was totally rubbish.i could not stand the game.even tekken 4 is better than this an tekken 4 is not any good at all. i hate the game and will be suprised if it sold more than 100 copies. i really hate the game.

i beat the game the 1st day i got it. it took me 3 hours, this game sucks and they shouldn't make pt.2.luckily i rented it and the next day i returned it.it dont even deserves 1 it deserves a 0.i think they shouldn't even make pt.2 if its going to be like the first.
