This game I have to say is the best game I have ever played.
I love the music,it goes along with the awesome intensity of the battling.The graphics seem almost like 3-dimensional cartoon+computer animation. The gameplay is a mix of realism and fantasy. The lifespan is just about perfect where you can just get to the point of killing people. I have to say it is a very fun game because there is a lot of variety of what the CPU will do. It was original and unlike any other fighting game. I can't wait to play the sequel, Dragon Ball Z Budokai 2. I imagine it will be even better than the first. I recommend this game very much to people of all ages, young and old. It is highly addicting. I just spent the last 10 hours playing it without even getting up to go to the bathroom. Whew, my bladder really hates me right now...and my dad too, since he wanted to play earlier today. heh heh. I look forward to playing more Atari games. The group that designed this game is on to something. Now I am rambling because it has to be more than 200 words yet I have nothing else to say........................

dragonball z budokai 2 is so cool, it is so cool because you can use fusions like vegitto, gotenks, kibitoshin and two made up ones, gokule and tiencha and you can have the skill of a super sayian 3, also cell and frieza have only their final forms which make them very powerful, you can power up moves by being in a transformed state or if you turn round the analog sticks to fill up the power meter.You can unlock the buu`s and use super buus absorption skill to power up, you can absorb tien and yamcha,gohan (adult),super sayian 3 gotenks,vegeta,cell and frieza, plus you get 2 of their best moves.Dragonball z budokai 2 is the best play station 2 game out of 100% i would give it 95%.In dragon world you go through 9 exciting levels, you can select 1 or 2 allies of your choice from the choices, if what i have said is not impressive enough you can enter the world martial arts tournment and you can be anyone of your choice!, there are 3 levels of the tournment novice,adept and advanced,novice is easy, adept is medium and advanced is hard, novice has 3 rounds, adept has 4 and advanced has 5.

I am going to love number three in the Dbz Budokai series. I went on the Internet and found a secret sight that shows different previews of it. I found out you could play as Bardock. Finally!!!!!!!!! The thing I like about it is the story has more details and you also get to fly as the person that you use to battle with. You could also play with Broly. On the Screen shots Broly is very huge compared to goku. The coolest thing I like about is you could fly whenever you want to. You can't do any of those things in Budokai 1 or 2. At first when budokai 2 came out I thought it was going to be the greatest hit. When I played it I was like what the hell.I like budokai one better because it has the story even though it skips certain details. The most thing I would like that some body would put in a Budokai is that you could knock your opponent into space or fly your self to planet Vegeta or Planet Frieza. What I would also like is for them to change the continuous kamehameha. They should make the graphics so good that when you do the attack it looks like the one Vegeta did on Planet Namek.

well...to all dbz gamers past and present, i would like to say that dbz budokai is a great game...but in turn it has some points that i became frustrated with...i was impressed with the fact that a move could be made three times strong, and the fact that you could link combos and special moves together...i mean the fact that you could link krillin's grab move and then add the beserk fist equalling 53 hits was off tha chain!!! but truly for every dbz fan like myself it has some disappointing things about it..like the fact that the villains didn't really the "potential" that we as dbz fans know they have. i hope that in the future the creators of the game add more moves, combos, and finishers...i mean if it's all that they can hook up with the creators of ultimate battle and do some things..but despite the limited choice selection of the moves the game is something i think that has a lot of hype behind it but then once the dragonballs and the breakthrough capsules are collected...you kinda become bored with it...but still...i loved it but then again certain things made me hate it...

This game is the best to hit the gaming market in a long time, o.k the graphics are the best but that dosen't matter, the sound is brill. I think that the makers of the game, should be very proud. I have heard that the second budokai game should be out some time this year, so I will have to save up my money for that one, but now back the game its self, some aspects of the game could have been changed for instance, the game only goes up to the cell saga, I think that I could have went up to the Majin Buu saga, that would have made the game a little longer and that would have aloud some more charaters to come in, there are alot of charaters anyway, but there could have been more.
If you are thinking of buying the game, you should if not you are missing out on the game of the century. If I had to rate the game on a fun factor on 1-10 I rate rate it at 10, its one of those games that makes you want to play all of the time and you will never get bored off it, even though the games story mode is not that long, there is plenty to do, so gamers buy this game and play, play, PLAY!

I have owned the game since it came out in North America and i personally think that it is in my top 10 for best game I have ever played. It is true it had major flaws like leaving out Trunks and Goku being so powerful. The part about not flying whenever you want to was a step in the right direction though. In the older games a guy could just puss out into the air to dodge an attack. I think when Goku is in SSJ he loses way to much energy and can not stay in SSJ very long. Thats funny because I was under the influence that in the "cell saga" he had trained to be able to stay in SSJ as long as he likes. And for those of you who craved the "Buu saga", it will be coming out in the sequel to Budokai. I had a problem with the ability to earn SSJ4 Goku in that game. The code or whatever was on so many sights including "IGN.com" that i figured it had to be real. You are suppost to beat Hard difficulty on the World Tourny with every character. I have done this 3 times over with no results...
Overall this game is amazing but I hope for a lot of inprovements for the next game...

The reason why I like this game, it has lots and lots of death moves. The graphics are very bloody. The sound goes very good with the game. The gameplay has alot of obsticals and is very entertaining. The lifespan of the character would be better if they had more ki-wave energies. I really enjoy the game. It is a one-of-a-kind game. The game has more value to me than my own T.V. I think this game has awesome death moves and senzubeans. I think the rating of this game should actually be rated everyone, because it just seems to not be very violent, and everone should already know that video games do not reflect real life. I enjoy this game because, I enjoy hours of fun. I can't wait until they come out with budakai 3. I know it will be better than the rest. Also, The game has really great characters. The reason why I kind-of don't like this game is because that you cant get monjinbuu or fatbuu, the game is hard for a nine year old to get through the game on very hard mode. My favorite characters are trunks, piccolo, goku, gohan, teengohan, cell, and freiza.

Alright first of all the point of the game is for it to be a fighting game, just like Street Fighter or MK. The fact that it actually includes a story line that somewhat follows the TV is sweet. The graphics are pretty decent and the voices are right on the money with a few exceptions. The game is not the best in terms of moves, cuz most characters have the same, but the very special ones are fun especially if you know the show. Another sweet aspect was the fact that you could pretty much change a lot of the characters features, like what special moves they used and what not after you got them. The replay value of this game is awesome, i've owned it since it came out and i still don't have everything in the game. I enjoy pretty much every aspect of this game except for maybe one or two fights in the story mode because they seemed pretty tough, and i thought Goku should have been the best but i'm just not finding it that way but oh well, hes not my fav anyway. I definitely hope there will be another DBZ game, and i think for a fighting game it does quite well.

dragonballz budokai is everything a fan needs from lightning fast fighting to the brilliant graphics there are seven modes two keep you busy.but it is to short i finished it in under 4 hours including the legend of mr.satan but the graphics are brill the sounds are a bit of a let down due to no voices from the tv series but being able to recreate your favourite fights is a must but you still get the good old kamehameha and distructo discs to make up for it this game is incredibly fun to play and hercule and his crazy moves will keep you laughing for days.to make it bettter they should have included buu.in budokai 2 there are a lot of new characters like supreme kai,goten chibi tunks,videl ect and a all new dragon mode were there will be 2 on 2 fighting and a new what if where goku and hercule fuse and so do tien and yamcha fuse i don't know how they'll do that though over all this is a very very very good game and a must for fans of the tv program it's a shame that they did'nt add in garlic jr and the buu sagas but we can hope for them in the 2nd budokai game

This game is just soooo brilliant i play on it all the time.What can i say the graphics are great but we know they could be better,the gameplay is cool they've really made it beter than the other games exept in the others u can counter the ki attacks.Me being a great fan i had to get this game and i didnt think they would put the jap voices in!!that made my day.We all know the game could be better like not skipping out major bits in the sagas! and were the hell is trunks in the sagas!! he should have more of a role!! i cant wait for the second game to come out its gonna ROCK!!! they should put garlic jr and majin buu saga in the next one and maybe they should involve some of the movies into it,that would be sooo awsome!ive hered u can actually unlock majin buu and majin dabura but i dont know how!!! the person who told me might be lying!! i havnt got all the skills yet but im workin on it.And i hope in the next one they dont skip out bits therefore it would be more enjoyable and longer.There signiture moves are great thats one of the things i like best!!!

This game is the best Dragon Ball Z game so far. The graphics are incredible and they all have there own voices. The story mode I great too beause it feels like your in the show. I like the part when Cell absorbs Krillin. One thing that isn't cool was when I first started Hercuel beat me and theres no Videl common oh well This is the best game ever I actually bought 6 more for all of my friends. I like the fact that when you are battling in the tournament you dont keep battling the same guy untill you beat him twice like other games. This is even more like the show this way. For you can only battle untill you are knocked out. The one thing that would be cool is if you could train there skills stronger. You know level up, like make there attack stronger, defense better, and there speed faster. And you should now be able to play 4 players and, or train with two players to learn fusion after sertain levels. These are all new gesters for the next game they come out with. Even tough this game is still the best of this era. Signed the best of the best.

Well this game is sweet When my bro loaded his vegeta with all this defensive crap Im like still not as good as Brolly hes not in the game though but Brolly is my favorite DBZ Guy then Gogeta But anyway I like shooting Special beam cannon I own Budokai 2 And overall this game is very fun There Is a weird glitch thing I cant remember it very well and we were in like buu saga and they only made it to cell but thats kinda good cause budokai 2 added kid buu super buu and Fat buu I always thought that super buu was the buu that consumed Piccolo ssj3 gotenks and Gohan and The other buu before he consumed them was evil buu But now I got it straight heres what I think Kid buu is stronger then super buu that consumed gohan and ssj3 gotenks and piccolo I think.... O yah Ka...Ma...Ha...Ma...HA!!!!

i ust want to say screw all of those guys that say it suck dbz is amazing i love it is so cool I'd give this game a 9, because on the game, we cannot fly on our own. Like, in order to fly we haft to be knocked into the sky by the opponnent. I hope its not like that in budokai2. In story mode I thought that we get to choose a story with one of the Z fighters. Another thing that bothers me is the stages. Why can't we fight in ground, mountains and stuff like that in the TV show. On the Namek level, how come we can't knock people into twisters that's in the background, after we blow it up with spirit bomb, burning attack, super kamehameha, and etc. Otherwise, this game is off the chain. The story is kinda short in a way, and some scenes in the is not what they said at all. Such as: When Goku was fighting Frieza, and he turned into a ssj, he shouted that he was a super saiyan, when he did not know what he was in the TV show. Budokai is the best fighting game that I ever played. I just hope budokai2 is the next game that will make my jaw drop.

ok i want to know a few things like for one i want to know why even when i beat the game i did not have all the characters witch i think is not at all kool but i will get over it one other thing i want to know is why if i beat the game i dont have all the levels or missions im not going to dog the game completly it does have its fine points like how you get to beat the crap out of peaple and your little brother and how its got some of my favorite characters my freinds say its ok my step brother says its cool i say its ok so every one thinks diferent about the game like i read on here spme one said it realy sucks and a nother said it rocks i dont realy care if this gets put up i just wanted to speak my mind im hoping to get to and then you can see what i think about it or not im hoping it is better tha dragon ball z budokai 1 if its not then you will be reading about a game that sucks then again maby not also you all have your own thouts right if you dont then you need to get a life oh and befor i finish i have to say that PICALO ROCKS!!!!!

I love the game, personaly i have some bad points. I think you should be able to fly at will. I would rather to have the entire sagas in the story line as playable characters. I really dislike how Cell's voice doesn't change during gameplay at perfect form, that really ticked me off. I don't like that the move such as continuous kamehameha and meteor break are the same with every other character. Another good point is that you should be able to turn to the monkey form or should I say Ozura. When two blasts meet like galic gun and kamehameha that exsplode in a cloud of dust. That was great, but it would be better if when they collided you could push the enemeys blast back and forth and the person who could tap X or something faster would be the victor. I also think that you should be able to charge a blast at will like charging you fist or leg in the game. The voices are great but it would be much better if they said numerous things in an upcoming battle. The visuals are great and the gameplay is one of the best that I have ever played.

I have played both Budokia one and two and they both have more good (cool) points than bad points. In Budokia 2 the graphics are more cartoony.There are some errors.Like when you pick Gohan as a ally he is a adult.He is supossed to be a kid and a teen for most of the game.I think the sound is kind of falty like volleyball fist and wolf fang volleyball fist.You can hardly uderstand Tien and Tiencha.I can understand why they give all the Majin Buus so much life but I just do not think it is fair.I like to test out the fusions.I already have all the fusions.I guess I can tell you who they are.The real fusions are Vegeto (Goku and Vegeta Patria earings)Kabitoshin (Kabito and Surpreme Kia Pataria earings) and Gotanks (Trunks and Gotin Fusion dance).The made up fusions are Gokule (Goku and Hercule Pataria earings)(can you believe it?)My favorite Tiencha (Tien and Yamcha Fusion Dance).My favorite move is Burning Slash even though it is hard to do. Over all I loved this game.My mom thinks I play to much.(That is because I like it!!!!!)

dagonballz budokai is a great game, but lacking(instert your own word here).well let's cover the basic. the sound is great no lie,but some voices are cheesey like cell's perfect form that voice is is wrong.and freeza voice could be better.graphics are good but where the graphics.(ffx)or(even ff8)music is great, the television version is cool.gameplay-wow were to start?controls-o.k.,fighting-very great,powers-great,story-good and the only reason the story is good not great is doing the the story yuo are going to(no but about it)THAT DID NOT HAPPEN or you might even say THEY DID NOT SAY THAT. i guess you think i'm being hard on funimation? don't get me wrong i'am fan of dragoball. one last thing before i shut up. what is up with the RING OUT. it make's me want to throw my ps2 out the window.btu with all that wrong with the it's still number one with a bullet. if you want to email me cool. to gave me your "rant or raves" it's cool,but no hateing on dbz..because i'm not i jus expect more.........

Dragonballz Budokai is the best DBZ game ever. It blows final bout and battle22 away.Legacy of Goku and Legacy of Goku2 are good but budokai is better by far.The whole game design is great.I love the way the story is set up.The moves are sweet too.The idea of capsules for custom guys is cool.I can't wait to play Budokai2.One problem with the game is in the tournament.How the computers try to knock you out of the ring so much.Thats the only real problem with the game.Next thing isn't really a problem but Great Saiyman should have more moves and maybe Android 20 should have been put in.I mean since 16,17,18,19,and Cell are in the game.Also why aren't all of the Ginyu Force in the game.Why are just Captain Ginyu and Recome in it,and not Burter,Jeice,and Guldo.I hope that the guys in Budokai2 have a good amount of moves.Personally my guy in budokai is 17 and Krillen.My cousins guys are Trunks,Tien,Picolo,18,Hercule,Kid Gohan,Teen Gohan,Vegeta,and Yamcha.As I said Budokai is the best DBZ game ever.I give it a 10 out of 10.

if this games graphics were better it would be perfect[well not exactly perfect]. the characters r awsome but they nearly blend in with the background and noone ever looks beaten up [no blood, torn shirts, or notin]but the moves r great and the diolouge is ok. the dragon balls shouldnt be bot thou i mean come on have u ever herd of someone selling a 1 way trip to easy street[exept on that episode of dragonball[althou he diddnt no it]].the ultimate moves r awsom like the hurcule special or big bang attack.just once thou i want to see a better zanku fist. the value of this should have started at $42.36 not $50.00.the sound in the game was great seeing as u can change it but its good any way.the fun was as good as any vidio games plus the exitement action and romace [ok no romance].the characters life span was really good not to small not to big its just rite.the originality was great seeing as it is the first budokai game and had notin to copy off of.the gameplay was awsome for noone can top it or be better than it

Dragonball Z budokai is a brilliant game, being the biggest DBZ fan ever i could not wait for this game to arrive, The story mode was great and they kept the original Japanese voices YES! My favourite saga was the radditz and freiza ones. Ive seen the sagas on TV and were great and in the game did pretty OK renactments. But i spotted a few downers in the game e.g. I dont remember Vegeta saying "Aunt sallies" during the android saga and whats with Majin Buu on the cover of the game? He's not in it God damn it!
Anyway The story mode is great although Ban Dai simply have no idea and have missed loads out (its been rushed) Tournament mode is brill no complaints really (win loads of money), Characters moves are awesome especailly the super saiyan transformations.
But because I hapen to be the biggest, ultimate Dragonball Z/GT fan of all time ever I rate the game a respectable 10/10 (it can't be helped). Remember if there is ever to be a next DBZ/GT game on the playstation 2 it better be by Funimation or else lol.
