At first when I bought the game and I turned it on, I didn't think it was going to be good. I was really surprised though when I started playing and seen the game play. It's one of the best fighting games I've ever played. The characters look and sound like the real thing. The only problems I had with the game is they could've improved Cell's voice. Also I'd like it more if the players could jump and had more control during flying. I think it would also be even better if while the characters were powering up, rocks came from the ground and their feet powered into the ground. The game is awesome though and I'm glad I bought it.

Budokai is sort of cool but you left out some great charectors. I mean where is the rest of the Ginyu Force, where is Jeice, where is Burter, where are the other forms of Frieza. When Goku fought Frieza, Frieza lost the battle only because his legs were cut off. I have been watching the Buu saga latly and I looked at all the bad guy in other world watching the fight and I said where are they in Budokai. My point is you need to make the game so it follows every footstep of every charector that you use and hopefully add in the game. Now mabey it was bad that I gave the game a 1 but I have mixed fellings about the game.I really don't know much about DBZ but I know what I'm telling you is true. The reason that I don't know much is because I started watching DBZ when my favorite show, Mobile Suit Gundum Wing, was taken off the air and I needed another action cartoon to help me get over it. Budokai needs more than just the main men and it needs to be stretched from the very beginning to AF saga which is the very end! I asked questions and I don't care! Now you probably won't post mine but I am not only speaking for myself but for my friends. You need to make the next game like Final Fantisy 7,8,and9. They have 4 discs because there so long. I rest my case.

This game is worth the buy if you are a dbz fan.If your not well if you are not it is worth a rent. The graphics are smooth and nice, and the gameplay is amazing. The game is pretty tough and also on easy. Very short, but it fallows the tv saga. This game is still fun after you beat story mode. It's worth the buy!

This is the best dbz game ever. You people are saying its hard well thats cause welll u bascially suck. The game is so easy but very fun. The best chaters to use are Vegeta and Goku. Goku because hes moves are so strong and Vegeta because he is so dam quick. If u have any questions fell free to contact me. This game could use a few updates such as the abilty to fly when u whant and do final flash and etc with out the big combo. Also to legend of hercule suxx because u dont get anything for beeting it.

I like this game alot, it's got pretty good graphics ok sound. It could be longer, but I guess tournaments make up for that. so this game is a preety good game I have not got all the way through the game because my game keeps on freezing because scratching.

Ok this game was sweet. but there are some things for and second part that would make this on of the all time greatest games. first, make story mode longer. two, add in the other sagas like the Garlic Jr. Saga and Buu saga. three, add to the Cell saga and let you fight with Trunks and Vegeta as they beef up. In the Buu saga you should definetly be able to go SSJ3 and fuse. after the game is beaten you should be able to go to all Super Saiyan levels in Duels. and one more thing, use computer rendered graphics for the movie scenes in between fights in story mode. damn i should have made this game myself!!!!

This game is the best DragonBallZ game yet. Although the storyline was short, it was overall good. They could have made the story mode challenging because it was so easy. I beat it in less than a day. The problem with this game was that you couldn't fly around willingly, you couldn't pick some of the characters such as trunks etc... Also a fault in this game was that there wasn't a buu saga and they should have had an extra were you put in a password and you could pick Bulma,ChiChi,Dende,MasterRoshi and they should have had an extra with Garlic Junior.

Well, the only thing missed right here was the majin buu saga, i'd love to have it, but i hope if there's a sequel it will until extremely deep part of Dragon Ball Gt that will be great! the gameplay is sweet because the controls are really easy to use, this makes easy to make any special powers you want like the spirit bomb.Fun,what can i say?, if you are a Dragon Ball Z fan like me you'll love the story mode i was impressed to see how deep it was twenty-nine episodes of the story and there is also the world tournament a little be hard at the beginning but once you practice you'll improve your defense and your aquaracy you will have no problems beating it. My favorite move by now it's "a present for you" it's hercule's and it is really funny you can even collect the seven dragon balls,and buy the capsule "The Legend of Hercule" in which you have to beat all the z fighters and at last cell.Graphics are even better than the show even thought they could be even better. The Value mmmmm the game is completely worth 40 or 50 dollars probably in a couple of months the price will drop i hope this take a long time i mean everybody like cheap games but, it will not be fair for those who really appreciatte the game and paid 50 dollars see how other people get it brand new for 20 dollars.

Hey, guys. Don't think that the game should a power level bar instead of an energy bar. Whom ever has a higher power, will have a longer, stronger level bar. Ex. Krillin's power bar would be 2 inches long but Goku's bar would be 6 inches long. The bar would also be an energy bar becase when it reaches zero your dead. You have to power up to get your life back up. The movement isn't very sufficent either. You can't dodge attacks correctly. Especially a simply ki attack. Every character should a super speed or "teleporting" technique. You guys were right about the combo system being a little wacked.

I'd give this game a 9, because on the game, we cannot fly on our own. Like, in order to fly we haft to be knocked into the sky by the opponnent. I hope its not like that in budokai2. In story mode I thought that we get to choose a story with one of the Z fighters. Another thing that bothers me is the stages. Why can't we fight in ground, mountains and stuff like that in the TV show. On the Namek level, how come we can't knock people into twisters that's in the background, after we blow it up with spirit bomb, burning attack, super kamehameha, and etc. Otherwise, this game is off the chain. The story is kinda short in a way, and some scenes in the is not what they said at all. Such as: When Goku was fighting Frieza, and he turned into a ssj, he shouted that he was a super saiyan, when he did not know what he was in the TV show. Budokai is the best fighting game that I ever played. I just hope budokai2 is the next game that will make my jaw drop.

I like Dragonball z Budokai it was great I have played dragonballz since it was first released on the family computer console to super nintento to playstation to ps one and now it is more greater for playstation 2 Im a huge fan and I like it but what I dislike is some of the bad words that the characters are saying in the cartoons it teaches some lesson and inspire of being a kid and a man I have watched dragonball to dragonball z saga i have finished the whole saga till gt and I have'nt heard them saying bad words while fighting... but the graphix are great and the game is awesome only some of the words. bec if a child or a kid is playing it they will pick up those words very bad... anyway I like the game I really do just play the game and do your best dont bother the cheats bec some of it are just a waste of time .......

that game is the best dbz game i have ever played although i wish it had some more of the original characters in it like zarbon/dodoria etc and also some from the movies im sure you all know brolli cooler super android 13?i mean cmon those were some of the best bad guys in the series even though they werent in the cartoons they were phat as hell.and they took away your ability to play in all the forms of cell and freiza which i thought was a real bummer however i love the way they improved the moves and the graphics way to go there its about time somebody did a dragonball z game right the specials were exallent i hope to see a dragonball budokai 3 sumtime soon i have to say the moves were great but somewhat repetitive but like i said it was an awesome game and me and about 3 million other fans cant wait for the next one.do u know if there even is gonna be yet another sequel to the video game series?if there is i hope they put some of the characters like brolli or cooler in there those r the people i really would like to see in the game and i think almost everyone else would too.but having said that great job on the games so far keep it up!

What a game. The story mode is superb, but is easy, I completed story mode the day I bought the game. The world match mode is super but it can get annoying and should have a continue feature especially when you are a couple of punches away from winning the final of advanced tournament and they use one attack and you go flying out the ring.
The characters are quite good actually, but the create the ultimate warrior thing is dissapointing. What it should have is what those WWF games have, a detailed create a character thing.
Imagine it, you could have a super saiyan 4 trunks! Nice.
Anyway, the game is superb and budokai 2 will be a blast! Could someone e-mail the very simplest way to get SS4 Goku? Thanks.
I have heard that on budokai 2 you can fuse anytime!!!!!!! NICE
I give the game 9/10.

Man the the best graphics ever. Who would of thought a DBZ game whould be this good. Althought Buu isn't in the game it's still the best. There are so many secrets, things to buy, and a lot of fighters to select from. If there is anybody out there that knows if there is any thing else after the Buu saga please e-mail me thanks. Oh and next time they should add the fighters from the movies like Cooler.

This game is wicked, except, that the Buu saga wasn't on it *cries*. The graphics are wicked but i reckon there should have been more episodes because they were too easy to complete! The good thing about it is that you can build your own custom made character ;). I reckon they should have used the American voices instead of japanese, Goku sounding like a girl is just too plain weird!!! O_o

I think that DBZBodokai could have been better.The graphics were bad as hell,but I get kinda frustrated that you cant jump or fly unless your hit into the air.I think they should have extended it to further sagas.The sagas in the game sucked.I like the buu saga and if that would have been in there the game would have been alot better.Also, it woulda been kewl if you could turn super saiyen three.

This is the best dbz game in about 7 years.Though it will be surpassed by it's sequel bodukai 2.Legends by my personal opinion is the greatest dragon ball
game created.Bodukai features great graphics and addicting gameplay.The sound and music besides the original Japanese voices are unmemorable.This game deserves a 10/10.

I really enjoy this game.It has great graphics and it has a lot more things to do than Ultimate battle 22.It is cool how you can turn super saiyn or super saiyn 2(only with Gohan!).There are more characters and its a lot more realistic.IT'S MY FAVOURITE GAME!!!.

the game was of the hizu. super saiyan 3 goku should of been in and teen gohan should have been the strongest beacause the episode was called a warrior beyond goku and in the game if u go 2 practice goku's full power is 140 and teen gohan is 130 that makes no sense majin buu should have in it. and they should have more details in the game anyway the game is great

this game is the best but it is a bit too short all the episodes for dragonball z should be in it.i hope budokai 2 would be more challenging and more characters and more transform stages in it also budokai 2 i hope have some dragonball gt enimies in it like super 17 i am a big biggest fan of DBZ i watch all dragonball Z and dragonball GT episodes i just need to watch dragonball well still this game is great i just hope budokai 2 would have some ideas that i wrote down.
