This is best Dragonball Z game I have ever played. 23 Characters, are all way cool but it can be more better to playing with friends. Using 2 memory csrd, With custom characters, it would be a great battle. I have all skills but not the all breakthrough skill, I am never gonna use that memory card cheat, cause getting all skills would get more easier and that will shorten the age of this game. Graphics are very great, sound is very good cause it has the original Japanese voices. Sound effects are cool and some moves have great humor, like Mr.Satans (Hercule`s) Present For You, and dont forget move named Satan Special. Tien has good VolleyBall Fist, what is powerful tough. Well, overall on this game is 10. If you are a DBZ Fan, you should buy this and have fun.

adding to my previous review, you should also be able to power up as much as you want, and powering should be more dramatic and you shouldn't be vulnerable to attacks during power up like in the cartoon. combos should be more numerous and easier to do. and you should have a better effect on opponents the more you power up. flying should be easier and moving quickly should be easy too. by the way what happened to instant trasmission??? these guys left a lot of stuff out. the main menu format is a little too child-like, i mean not a lot a small kids even watch this show as far as i know. should be more serious. i want SSJ3. and fusion. Vegitto, is the ultimate. i like it but was left wanting more. length and depth and detail is the key here people.

it is a brilliant game but ther are a lot of flaws, its too slow to load,moves are strange, in tournament mode that guys japanese jabering can REALY tick you off, in 2 player mode only 1 person can use custom charecters unless you have another memory card,i really dont like mr popo's skill shop because its randon skill (i spent 6 1/2 hours looking for trunk's buster cannon) and the story mode is too short.
But i have to admit even with all these problems it is still a good game once you get used to it, a must buy for all DBZ fans but personaly i'd wait untill the price goes down a bit before buying it.
(1 more thing thats a problem.... GETTING BEATEN BY HERCULE/MR SATAN IN THE FINAL OF A TOURNAMENT IS SO ANNOYING NOT TO MENTION EMBARRASING)

DBZ Budokai for PS2 was a very good game even though it wasnt very challenging because I beat it in less than 5 hours. Lets start with the complants I have for the game It needed alot more fighters it should have had the whole ginyu force and all of friezas tranceformations it also should have went into the buu saga. What I really liked about the game was that when you did attacks like spirit bomb it blowes up every thing around you. thats about all I have to say about the game. I am a very big dbz fan and I hpr the next game is alot better

ok when u fight i don't like how its like tekken fighting, like u know going back and forth and can only go so far away from your opponent before it stops you, i think that theyneed to make the second one to where you can move about the level selected anywhere that you want, and to be able to blow up mountains with your kai blasts, i also think that when you use your attack that it doesn't blow the earth up and stuff like it does on budokai, i think that when you use them that they should put craters in the ground from where u have shot the blast, more charcters need to be put o there, such as the new super sayion levels, Broly would be a surprise to see, and Vegeta ssj4. This is definetly the best dbz game ever existed, even better than db gt final bout. I like that one but this is a whole new story, graphics are cool, the voices are awsome, it's like watching the tv serie, the gameplay could use a little work, I think is a bit to simple, there aren't to many movements and tricks, but I still like it. But what I like the most is the customize character mode, I dare someone to fight against my super vegetta, he's completly indestructable. You can increase the attack's power by putting more capsules in it, it's really fun. Oh, the story line is also cool. The point is that I really enjoy playing this game, and I encourage every single dbz fan out there to buy this one, trust me, your gonna like it.

Dragon Ball Z Budokai is by far THE GREATEST GAME IN THE UNIVERSE!!! The graphics are as good as they get, the gameplay is wonderful, the speed is great and the Burst Zone is the greatest feature a Dragon Ball Z game could have. I guess it's to make up for no energy battle (kamehameha and final flash). But all and all the game is the greatest ever. Budokai 2 also promises to be better too. It will feature the Buu saga and all the fusions and new transformations. It will also add a new mode called Dragon World which will allow you to search for the Dragon Balls. You must check out these games if you haven't already or else your puny planet will be destroyed. You have been warned by The Great Saiyan Prince SS2 Majin Vegeta.

After 5 years in anticipation for another dragonball game to come out for the playstation and ps2, it has finally been done and i must say i am most impressed by everything the game has to offer. Graphics were great, gameplay is great, characters are awesome. The thing i hoped for is a training mode where you can build up your character from a low level to a high one like in final bout, like do some training in the hyperbolic time chamber with the high gravity to reach a new level of power or training in the mountains with piccolo, or training in a gravity room like vegeta, that would have made the game even better. All in All, the Game is a definite buy for any dragonball fan, believe me they will not be dissapointed

budokia is the best dbz game so far,but they should of inclued the buu saga right to the end where goku kills kid buu.my faverite character is trunks and when trunks turns into super/super 2 his hair should go longer and it should of had build up mode just like finel about.I think it should involed a tag team so you can use fusion with any character,it's cool when you can by moves instead of figuing the moves out.but what i cant understand is why that goku is the strogest character and when gohan defeats cell and his ssj2.im clad they put the dragonballs on but sometimes its takes the mick coz its takes alot of time to get them.budokia is the best game i think but the next game please insert the buu saga!!!!!!!!!!

This has got to be the best game I have ever played, mainly because of all the coulerful characters in it. It took me like 3 days to complete it which is better than most beat m up games because they're usually over in a flash. I think that something that makes the game more attractive are the graphics and the fact that most of the time it keeps to the story line. The sound and music are really cool and they fit each seens mood perfectly and the tune somehow makes it easier to get into the game. I think that with its wierd names and easy to follow story, this game is one of a kind! Because of the funny voices and kick a$$ attacks, this games fun factore could burn a hole right through super siyan Goku himself!

This game is awesome,but I think they could've made it so much better,like when your opponent fires a special or a ki blast you should be able to attack and push against each other's blast,like in Final Bout, but less complicated. They also should've made the gameplay longer by adding stuff like gather all the dragonballs before the ginyu force and freiza do and if you run into them you have to fight for each other's dragonball/s.Oh and when you get hit into a boulder you should have rocks on you and they should show blood as you recieve more blows , like in the show. That's why I only gave it an eight. Man I heard the second one will be just like that but the characters won't look as good as this one c ya.

This game is Absoulutely Perfect. You get a chance to battle against all of the opponents up to the Cell Games Saga. With many Characters to choose from and the new skills. Its Graphics are Marvelous compared to its brothers from the Snes. You actually feel like your in the game and that you can beat the game if you try your best. I only see pros about this game. Its graphics are Perfect, Sound is Superb, Gameplay is Awesome, And I would say you get more than you pay for. If you are looking for a game that gives you the freedom to edit characters skills and lets you actually have a challenge, you can find everything in this simple little( Or should I saw Fun and big) game. This is truly, the best game EVER!

this is the best fighting 3D action adventure game in the whole history of fighting .This game has the most of the cast of DBZ and they sound the same as the cartoon.But the only problem with this game is they did not have the crazyest motherf< remove me > at %ker in the whole entire history of DBZ evil kid buu .common sense if you are going to have a whole lot of episodes of this little guy and make a lot of cash and not let him in this game its pretty stupid.you could of made x2 the cash earnings if you would of added a couple more people of the crew from DBZ .But still its the best cartoon game in the century .good luck on the next DBZ game, next time think of the "fans " and not just whanting to just finish fast .

The game was good and all but they needed to add more to the story line and what with Vegeta he can't even power up after super saiyan not to mention Goku. I also expected more of a chalenge and a few more cheacters. One of the two biggest appointments for me was that they did not include some of the story lines they needed like when Vegeta almost destroyed the earth or any of that Garlic.Jr stuff. Other then that the game was very great in graphics and it is nice that they had things like android #17's second costume even though i only seen that one in the no cut dbz's. But other then that the dragon ball's in there was a good add in for the game it is just a bit cheesy in certain aspects of the game.

This game is the bomb! The good thing is the story mode. They have the story with Raditz' attack, the saiyans, Vegeta and Nappa, Freiza, the Androids, and Cell. The thing they could have done better is that you should be able to turn them into a ssj3 or a ssj4. You can only do a ssj2 with Gohan(He became a ssj2 when killing Cell). You should be able to have fusions to! The graphics and gameplay is really good though. Especially the Martial Arts Tournament. The playable characters are kid Gohan,Teen aged Gohan, Great Saiyaman, Goku, Hercule, Recoome, Captain Ginyu, Piccolo, Cell, Trunks, Freiza, Andrd. 19, 18, 17, and 16, Tien, Yamcha, Nappa, Vegeta, Zarbon, Krillin, Raditz, and Dodoria.

this is not a bad game at all the cutsceens are great and good graphics. but it lacks how hard it is. the final episode on normal is so hard cell does six times more damage and u cant defend after an atack against cell it is just outragus. plus it has no mode were it helps you master a combo or show you how to power up (still in pursuit of key) at all or wat -p means does it mean move or left or right then p. the game lacks realishim which most games do but this does by far. if you dont hit the button at the right button at the right time you cant do a combo. i hate that i still for some reason do the kamahama teleport at all. i may do it once in a while but usually i cant do it at all.

Hey, this is Mr. Giggles and this game is Jawsome as my friend Bob would say. I like this game a lot because its has my favorite character, Trunks, it also has the game set by the series. The game doesn't have good grafics because they wanted it to look like the cartoon. You can also customize your characters by winning world tournaments. It would be cool if you have a companian with you to fight like 2 on 2. Im a fanatic on DBZ, it doesn't have Gotenks, which is my other favorite character, because it only goes up to the Cell Saga. I hope they make a sequel to this game because its JAWSOME!
P.S. Im using my friends email because I dont have one yet so dont think im a girl but she is.

First of all this game was almost, exactly following the story line of DBZ up to the end of cell games. the graphics are all really awesome. They did a really great job.(well as good as funimation can get) One of the drawbacks that really bugged me was the circles all of the character have for shadows. that is the only graphical error I found. the music needs direction. And aside from the extremly short gameplay (took me 4 hours to beat the main game first day I had it) if you are looking for a multiplayer fighting game based on DBZ, you will love this game! Hey if funimation got together with the makers of Tekken 4, they would have made the absolute best fighting game to date!

I got this game for X-mas and Dragon ball Z Budokia has to be the greatest DBZ game ever.Ive been playing It for 24-7{24 hours a day seven days aweak}.I have been working on the game for a bit and the sucky thing to me is that why get hurcule has a secret character!I mean cmone the guy always hides behind something and always has to get the last word*sigh* oh well I havent unlocked him yet but Ill let you on a little secret.I know hwo to get S.S 4 goku!Thats right people all you have to do is beat tourniment mode with all the 23 characters with Advanced mode and after that press Goku while pressing select and x.Anyways this game IS by far the best Dragon Ball Z game ive ever played.

Lets talk about the graphics first. The graphics are good and all but the thing that sucks is that when you transform your voice doesnt change except when you do a special move. The sound is awsome the only bummer about it is that only the starting movie (and when you start a chapter)has real dbz music. I think the pictures are kind of cartoonish(like when you pick your charecter etc.). I think the world tournament ring could have been bigger. Now I think the are enough charecters to make it a good game but there could have been more(like videl and majin buu etc.). It could have had more sagas like the buu saga. But other than all that I thnk it was great. A must buy game.
