This is the best game I ever played 'cause its got all the original voices and story modes I think it maybe as good as DragonBallZ Ultimate Battle 22 it may not have ascended saiyan Goku and Super Saiyan 3 Goku but it still is the best Dragon Ball Z game ever!

budokai is like the best dbz game so far i have seen. but there are to many weaknesses. one, how come the moves are the same, ( i mean when you do something like super dragon fist, it just uses the same buttons and moves) budokai2 is rumered to have a majin buu saga and 11 new characters, ( teen gohan, goten, little trunks,videl,supreme kai,dabura,android 20,majin vegeta and buu in three forms, fat normal and kid) with a ton of new fusion characters. also, if buu's around, does that mean goku can go to ss3 mode?

if this games graphics were better it would be perfect[well not exactly perfect]. the characters r awsome but they nearly blend in with the background and noone ever looks beaten up [no blood, torn shirts, or notin]but the moves r great and the diolouge is ok. the dragon balls shouldnt be bot thou i mean come on have u ever herd of someone selling a 1 way trip to easy street[exept on that episode of dragonball[althou he diddnt no it]].the ultimate moves r awsom like the hurcule special or big bang attack.just once thou i want to see a better zanku fist. the value of this should have started at $42.36 not $50.00.the sound in the game was great seeing as u can change it but its good any way.the fun was as good as any vidio games plus the exitement action and romace [ok no romance].the characters life span was really good not to small not to big its just rite.the originality was great seeing as it is the first budokai game and had notin to copy off of.the gameplay was awsome for noone can top it or be better than it

Finally!!!A cool game i could never get tired of.This game is the best game I`ve played so far because I think number 3 is coming out and It`s probably going to be Gt with a lot of cool characters that Budaki 2 doesn`t have.I hate that the fact that at the end of every battle the player that wins isn`t all beat up with his cloths torn or dirt on him with blood.Also I don`t like the dragon world because it sucks.It should be like Budakai 1 because their dragon world is like a show.In the game I have unlocked everything, to tell you the truth I think I will never get tired of this game I love it.I will keep on playing it over and over again until Budakai 3 comes out,until then I will be waiting for it and it should be awsome.My favorite characters to fight with is almost all of them except the androids because they suck.I like android 18 she`s cool.I hate Recome because he`s dumb with his stupid saying ''you do well you do well".I just love teen Gohans Father-Son Kamehameha it`s awsome.My most favorite character is Gotenks I like him because he has 2 of my favorite characters fused Trunks and Goten and I like that the fact that Gotenks and Goku can go Super Saiyan 3.Gohan is cool because he can unlock Elder Kai`s ability.That is all I have to say about this awsome game.

Overall this game was pretty tight,the graphics were off the hook, the sound was great,and the fun factor was excellent and so was the story line; and best of all the characters real voices are on the game,but this game could use some major improvements. For one this game didn't have long enough gameplay because it ended too quickly.The moves were good, but they were all the same like goku's dragon fist,and the ranma with piccolo,all the ki attacks were also the same,the only difference was that it was done with a different character with a different name, like the raining ki blast with one of the other characters and the parmesan shower with Captain Ginyu and so were many other attacks.When someone does an attacks they should not only have a ki guage but they should also have something like an attack guage so they can build up the level of an attack; like instead of a regular kamahemaha they can build it up to five levels on the gauge making it stronger. Another thing on the game they need to work on is age of the game .The game seems like its for ages 10 and under, there is no blood shed when fighting for a long period of time, and the insults they say while fighting are not like anything the characters would say on T.V, and basically the fighting is just not fierce enough going along with the need for better sound effects in battle..Another thing they should take into consideration is when a character powers up to a new level it should be the way it is on the cartoon series; For instance if you're super saiyan or you should have a golden glow around you and if you're super saiyan 2 you have a golden glow with sparks of electricity around you and if you're Kamicolo you should have a white glow around you.When powering up they should have special effects like ground breaking,earth rumbling, fierce winds,lighting strikes,ect..ect..Flying on the game is also a problem, you shouldn't have to knock a character in the air to allow yourself to fly you should be able to do it manually, and while doing this, just to keep people from cheating, if you are flying, your ki gauge slowly decreases, because that's the way it is on the cartoon.Having a 7 max guage for a super saiyan or any other advanced leveled character is pointless,when a character reaches a new level their guage should increase because the higher level you go your guage decreases faster making it harder for you to complete a move necessary for that level.Goku has so many levels it's so hard for him to complete the spirit bomb with his guage draining like that, especially how easy it is to get knock down.Something else about the game isn't realistic either do you actually think a normal level person in the game could stand up to super saiyan vegeta up VS. regular krillin. I've almost begun to think the rising levels are only to complete the super moves and not to increase the players strengths.Each character should be unique in fighting and not the same monotonous combos each character posesses.The look of the super moves should also be redone.the galik gun,kamahemaha,or death beam shouldn't be a ball of light, but rather a continuous beam of visible of light coming towards you. They're also many special features which should have been on Budokai 1 or DBZ Budokai 2. Saiyans should have the opportunity to turn into an Oozaurus and fuse with anyone just call it a crazy idea.but flying cold use improvement.
Good.....but hope budokai2 will be much better!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I got this game for X-mas and Dragon ball Z Budokia has to be the greatest DBZ game ever.Ive been playing It for 24-7{24 hours a day seven days aweak}.I have been working on the game for a bit and the sucky thing to me is that why get hurcule has a secret character!I mean cmone the guy always hides behind something and always has to get the last word*sigh* oh well I havent unlocked him yet but Ill let you on a little secret.I know hwo to get S.S 4 goku!Thats right people all you have to do is beat tourniment mode with all the 23 characters with Advanced mode and after that press Goku while pressing select and x.Anyways this game IS by far the best Dragon Ball Z game ive ever played.

dragonballz budokai:First of all i like to say that the game has reached a higher level to the previous dbz games on the ps1 and super nes. But there is one thing i do not particulary like and that is the english subtitles for it. Like com on in one bit of the game Vegeta says "you meanies",Com'on aunt sallys".i'm pretty sure that vegeta would not say that!But anyhow the game has awesome graphics and fun game play.DBZ2 should be explosive with even better graphics and more charactors.Hopefully buu saga and gt charactors are added.

It was was one of the best games I have ever played. It lets you see both sides of the story and watch clips from the episodes. The sounds and graphics make it seam like your really watchin thshow. Being able to fight your enemy and use actual attacks you see on the show is another thing that makes this game so great. I was so into this game I beat it in about a day. Not the whole game...but the basic story,(I had to return it to my friend). The only down side to this game is that you don't get to fly around on your own or look for any of the dragon balls. But over all this game was awsome and I think that it was the best!!! ^_^

DBZ Budokai is a great game I wish it had more replayablilty like Soul Caliber 2 had. The buu saga was missed though and that ticked me off because as soon as i saw it in the latest nintendo power I yelled so loud. although a great game it could have been better (if it was i would beg to vote 20 lol!) I can't wait until budokai 2 comes out for gcn but it probably won't if it does i hope it will be better

Dragon Ball Z Budokai is a very fun game. it has some really good vices and some vertues.The good thing about the game is its kindof addictive and it keeps u playing, but once u beat stroy mode its fun declines a bit.Some things it needs to change are the flying, i mean u need manual flying to increse its excitement. another thing, the level up transform thing is a little bit messed up. i mean, ss Vegeta is NOWHERE near the level SS Goku. the levels should be individualy set, not like hercule's first transfirmation is High Tension(level 1 transformation) and SS Trunks (level 1 transformation) is equal power......thats messed up..CAUTION if your going to get this game and read this interview I STRONGLY SUGGEST U SET THE DIFFICULTY HIGHER BECAUSE I DIDNT AND I BEAT IT IN LIKE 2 DAYS(only because i rented it late and had to go to bed) IT IS WAY TO EASY ON NORMOL AND IF UR A HEAVY GAMER ITS TO EASY!well, overallits a fun game even if ur not a DBZ fan, but if u are a fan, this game is a must have for its the BEST DBZ game ever made(except for Legendary Super Warriors for GBC which kicks way more ass then the GBA legacy of goku and trading card game).
well i hope this has answred your questions about Budokai, oh and i cant wait for Budokai2 which looks even better.

This game is good like i mean the graphics and i like the way where they made the master roshi spin around it makes loading not as boring as other games. Also there are several bad points too first nearly everyone's attacks are the same and since when did cell have spirit bomb also the voices of the characters dont sound much like the actuall people in the episodes. I dont like the way they make things really hard to understand like the dragonballs and capsules and breakthroughs etc. Also there are too little allies available to you on each stage (max 3) in the actuall episode there are more than 3 fighters on 1 person well not at a time and since when is yamcha or tien equal as goku?????????? Also they make things too hard and it makes you wanna smash the tv when you loose or when something is actually impossible

It is so sweet the graphics and everything where the bomb. and plus the transformations that was good good good i like using vegeta to kick cells ass! But one thing I dont like about the game is thta i can fall out of the ring in the ternament. Well thats it the game is sweet u wont blelive what happends to Krillin in the end it is so funny lol omg i laughed over it you should get the game! it is worth the money!!!

i thought it was Capitol G, especially since the states hasnt had a dbz game in a while. so aside from it being in english the gameplay is bad ass.i wish theyd left the Ki struggle feature from the final bout version for PS0ne. i just wish it have gone through the Boo saga and had some hidden characters from gt in it or something.other than that.its tha bomb fa sho.

This game rocks! It is unbeatably the best DBZ game so far. I though that the fact that the story stopped at Cell was a bit disappointing but it is still a excellent game. If it were fully English (speaking) then it would be the best game of all time. If Bandai could team up with Squaresoft and make a Final Fantasy/DBZ game, it would be the best. I'd never put it down.
Brilliant game! Whether or not you have the money, go sell some games or whatever. Just get this game! You wont regret it!

I thought the game is very good, at least its way better then the passed DBZ Games. The Fighting in the game is great, you can hit a character and send them flying though walls just like the cartoon. And Being able to change into a Super Saiyan in Mid-fight is great! I love Vegeta and The FINAL FLASH finisher is the boom! I love using that move! But if your a true fan you will like the game. Yes I know it doesn't have all the characters amd you cant go to Super Saiyan 3 or 4 but Hey thats means there has to be a part 2 to this game! That just has to come out and if so owww ya that will be mine! lol !!

i havent played dragonball z ive got it for chrismas so i dont no what it will be like it should be good but im righting this becuase info grames made 2 versions of dragonball z budoki i mean why thhe pal version which is teh european version is voiced in the original japanese voices reading in english and most of it is in japanese like for example gohan say masengohon and goku's name is son goku but the us has teh voices from teh show the voices that where us to i mean dragonball z was made a long time ago and isnt very big in the asian countrys so why diddnt the just voice it in us it would of made a hell of a lot more sales. So that means i cant stop thinking that im missing out on some thing but a few people in the us want the pal version they think that this version would be better but why i dont plan on leaning japanese just to get the story mode all to make sence.
