I would give it a 8 out of 10. It is a awesome game i love playing the story but they should of added the Buu saga also that we could play with Cooler they graphics are awesome. This is also the best DBZ game better than Dragonball z Ultimate Battle 22 which it doesn't have a story line.

well...to all dbz gamers past and present, i would like to say that dbz budokai is a great game...but in turn it has some points that i became frustrated with...i was impressed with the fact that a move could be made three times strong, and the fact that you could link combos and special moves together...i mean the fact that you could link krillin's grab move and then add the beserk fist equalling 53 hits was off tha chain!!! but truly for every dbz fan like myself it has some disappointing things about it..like the fact that the villains didn't really the "potential" that we as dbz fans know they have. i hope that in the future the creators of the game add more moves, combos, and finishers...i mean if it's all that they can hook up with the creators of ultimate battle and do some things..but despite the limited choice selection of the moves the game is something i think that has a lot of hype behind it but then once the dragonballs and the breakthrough capsules are collected...you kinda become bored with it...but still...i loved it but then again certain things made me hate it...

Hey this game is rubbish it doesn't have COOLER that and it doesnt show all of freizas forms which is bogus and it doesnt have their father and you cant fuse characters like goku and vegeta becoming vegeto or cooler and freiza (heck YEAH!!) man this game reaks of dullness. whoever made it obviously dont appreciate the villains or transformations and another thing why cant the bad guy win for god's sake or at least give the good guys a lot harder of a fight than just act $#< remove me > at !y and lose their chance at victory. thats stupid. and the people that made the cooler movies suxx!!

Hey, guys. Don't think that the game should a power level bar instead of an energy bar. Whom ever has a higher power, will have a longer, stronger level bar. Ex. Krillin's power bar would be 2 inches long but Goku's bar would be 6 inches long. The bar would also be an energy bar becase when it reaches zero your dead. You have to power up to get your life back up. The movement isn't very sufficent either. You can't dodge attacks correctly. Especially a simply ki attack. Every character should a super speed or "teleporting" technique. You guys were right about the combo system being a little wacked.

It is a great game but if you look all the attacks look the same like for example the conitnous kamahiea is just basicly a few ramdom ki blasts and anyone who lives in ireland have the game why does it have part of the boo saga people on the back off the game tell me that and why can't so people be unlocked like on the story line and it is a shame that you can not turn aroze (monkey) what they need to do is get the game ultimate battle 22 and budokia and merge then so u can do the story line as well as build up your favourite charcaters and you could actually see there strengh stats etc and you get to a certian point where you can transform i think would be good and use then certian atacks i also like in bukokia the way u can hit people through the rocks etc.

Woah! That was definately one of the best DBZ games i have ever played! the graphics and story mode were brilliant, there were only a few dissapointments about it, for one thing you can't fly with free will, you have to be kicked into the air, and you left out majin buu, but that doesnt matter too much as i heard there is a second one coming out soon, it makes super saiyan look a bit of a mockery though, one flash and your there, even in story mode when fighting frieza only 6 seconds are dedicated to the transformation, but if your a DBZ fan, play budokai to be satisfyed

The graphics were great for a game of its time period, the special attacks deserve more than a worthy effort, and also I enjoyed the voice imput on every character from the series which makes it twice as fun to play, and hear. Those who give it any lower then a 9, are idiots and cannot enjoy a fine game like Dragon Ball Z Budokai. When buying the dragon balls it takes a little to long, but when you make your wish after all that time after buying them trust me it is well worth the wait.

Wow its good!its the best DBZ game i ever played before. Its so powerfull that I cant imagine. All characters are wery good-looking but kinnda strange:)
Cool is that the gameplay is fully diffrent then all of fighting games. Its better than Tekken 4, Virtua fighter 4 or other simmiliar games. In other line graphics are not very good. You know what Imean :)

People, i know there are lots of things missing in Budokai, like "Trunks Saga", and some dialogue is really bad, however gameplay is pretty good. Some dont like it after the story mode, but story mode is "weak", even on hard. VS mode is were its at. 1p vs 2p is what keeps you on your toes, especially with costomising, but the costomising can really be cheap. But then again anyone can be cheap, so its not really that cheap.
I dont like Vegeta's stupid ass spin move, because it can alwayse break guard, and he can attack after his spin faster than anyother character in the game. ok im done crying about ti now.

budokai is the best fighting game ive ever played though it cut some scenes out, less characters, and less power eg goku cant go ss2 ss3 and has a cheat to go ss4. but still good. though could of more sagas. still good but less harder cheats like how to get ss4 beat everybody in advance mode with everybody

I have played this game at a friends house and I thought it was OK. I like the more walk around sort of games, but this was a very fun fighting game. I do wish they had Buu and a few other characters. The graghics are pretty cool to. This isn't the kind of game I would spend 40 dollars on but I might buy it when the price drops.

the game is One of the best fighting games i have ever played. i especally like the story mode.they sound so real.the only thing that is messed up is you need a code to geat s.s.4 goku.other than that the game is hot.when part two comes out that is definetly the first game i am going two by.

i think this game is really neat and it nearly touches on all aspects of dbz. i think it would be better if you could fight as majin buu and ssj3 Goku. it's still a great game though. yes they are bringing out Budokai 2 and it looks wicked.

It was great it didn't take long but it was still good.It would be better if the made it throught the Buu sage.The second one is coming out soon and I'm buying it the day it comes out.It was one of the best games I've ever played.

this game was easy too easy i beat it in 6 hours man thats kind of lame but the game is still good theyre coming out with a new dragon ball z game in september 2003 its rumored you can go ssj 4 with goku i cant wait how about u? its going to be $100 so save up i also have a character that cant be beat kills you with one galick gun(cannon)

IT is a great game but some of the characters look fat ... eg gohan.They should have made some secret powerful guys that you could unlock like dabura..goku 4 or 3.story line rocks but trust me 4 an english speakin person dont get japanese version!! i mean who the hell wants to here them yak on. combo's are mean but the downer is yoy destroy the background ..once the background is destroyed the level looks plain and boring...one last bad point that i can think of is why the hell cant all the supersayians go to ultra eg goku and vegeta ...gohan grown up is only the great sayain man and he looks really gay...get normal grown up sayain or somethin

I think the game was great but it didn't have as many characters as i hoped it would. I also noticed that all the chracters basically have the same techniques when you ignore the different colors of the beams and the names. Another thing that bothered me was the fact that FUNimation helped with the game, they totally butchered the anime with their stupid quotes and all the editing. But this was the best DBZ game I've seen so far in America and I hope they make another one.

Ok it's like this when i got the game I was woried it would be like the old ones but it blew my mind i was awsm espealialy the Dragon ball when you collect all seven you get to make a wish it will give you three chracters to pick but if you don't want the characters they give you then just take out your memory card and click one of them when it trys to save it will say there is no memory card in there and it will ask you t save again press no and go back(first put memory card back) and click thedragon balls again and there you go it will have a new set of people(repeat process if you need to)Well still this is one of the coolest DBZ games I have ever played
