Ok, now let me get to why i first off think this game needs a makeover in some aspects. Being as it is, its a great game no one can deny that but alot of my quams about this potentially 9.5 star title are as following: first, u have a very limited look on the weapons and armors in the game. Now i believe that all of the general weapons and armors should look the same, but, on the same note all rares should look completely unique period.... end of story. It gets boring looking at the same weapons and armors on people playing all the time even though its completely different. Now i factor this in with my second to change list topic on my dissappointment. Being as though it takes a real long long xp grind to lvl after around ohh bout lvl 15-18 why not have that distinct look to all players so its more visually arousing to the senses and makes you strive to get unique rares. Also yeah i guess this one is something that will not change but i still think it would be real real cool for the makers to make a full version and then a edited version of this game one targeted at adults and one for ppl under 17. On the unedited one they could make things such as a lil blood maybe a dismembering or 2 also, a decapitation every now and then. Now heres what else needs improvment for the sake of grapejuice guys MAKE A PK SERVER. I dont know about you but that would immediatally increase the value and playability of the game for me the fact that you could take on other players in duels would be mad uber. Alright, next, is the graphical and sound aspects of this game. Needs a upgrade developers please get on a new graphical formating or spend more time on char models and monster models. I suppose i can start on the good points of this game now. Here it is, dont get me wrong, i do like this game alot a few of the things i really enjoy is the company of other ppl all around the world playing it makes the game. Another thing i like and would also like to clarify for ppl is that when u pay for a month, it doesnt end after 30 days it ends after u play 30 days of eqoa 80) that makes me smile hehe. Also it is nice that you can pick many races and classes although i should have placed this above i would really really opt for a ninja and samurai class i just think that would rock. Also like all agree it is ever expanding and the eqoa team has been working on new things such as a auction and class mastery system that do in fact add a whole new level of play to the game and the fact that you can level up to 60 with the release of frontiers. I also think, contrary to everyones belief, that the graphics in the enviroment are real decent like the trees and sunsets and storms and such i like those i think they were well done. Lastly i love the potential for this game i know that the eqoa team may yet implicate more and more of what the people want and i truely hope one of the team will read this posted review of mine i believe it is thorough and explains alot of what people want improved and alot of what people already like about eqoa and the soon to be realeased frontiers. Based on all of this i give eqoa a solid seven and a plee to please improve the rare items to a unique look for each, give us a samurai and ninja class, and a few other details that would be worked out as well by other requests. ok first of all you guys suck at spelling. I mean come on its so easy to just type the word right in the first place there is no reason you should be miss-spelling anything (unless you dont know how to spell it...) but onto my opinion of the game. First of all... the good points. Its awesome! it is really fun to fight alongisde with people from all around the world.. and the fact that everyone can communicate makes it even better. There is a LOT of different landscapes and zones. Grass, desert, water, snow... and the weather! cloudy, rain, thunder, clear skies.. and probably the best thing about the entire game is the FREEDOM. go wherever you please, do whatever you please, kill whatever you please... (even the guards! LOL FUN)... And now for some of the bad points, since any decent review has the good AND the bad.. Well.. the graphics could be improved, yes. Also, the weapons and armor, as some of you have mentioned, looks all the same.. except for about 15 different colors. thats it! And plus, once you get to lvl 15-18... Leveling takes hours... and hours.. 5+. THATS REDICULOUS! I also wish that they would add WEAPON ATTACK DURATION! so that you cant just hit with a heavy axe the same you can hit with a small dagger.. cmon doesnt that just suck? those are some of the bad points and some of the good points. The gameplay defeats the bad graphics, but the length of time to level defeats the gameplay, but the community defeats the length of time to level.. the chain goes on and on and on and on... I like barbeque sauce with my chicken. Anyways.. the reasons Listed above makes me give EQOA a 8/10. I sure hope this was 200 words so it will get posted! (P.S... I like A1 sauce with my steak.)

Everquest online adventures is the ps2's First attempt at an MMORPG. The Game features many different character classes, as well as many races. Each Race starts in its own Town with its own people and customs, as well as storys (and problems!). The game features Huge 3d Environments and many Good ambience Sound FX, Character models and Spell animations Move fluently and Beautifully through the game. With that being said its time for the down side. Everquest Online adventures Does not feature the Cutting Edge graphics that we have come to enjoy from most of the high end consoles, Things such as spells armor characters environments and weaponry do not at all feature Graphics which are expected from the Ps2. The games only soundtrack takes place during the character creation menu (other than a dog barking wind blowing or lightning crashing, the game has no real music).The gameplay can at times seem boreing and repetative, as well as the games leveling system which will appear to take ages beyond the level of 15. Now with the bad being said let us once more return to the good, This game is ever expanding and improveing upon itself, The storylines and quests and items to collect seem ENDLESS. Many Many hours of replay value and wonderful gameing, Easy battle system and chat interface (note to one of the other reviewers THIS GAME HAS A FRIGGEN CHAT INTERFACE)and seemless travel between environments. The world of Everquest Online adventures is an emersive wonderous land of Elves and Humans, Sorcery and Swords If you have the Modem GO FOR IT This game is an amazeing play and i promise you Uncounted hours of fun. I give everquest online adventures an 8 out of 10.

Hey im not an expert or anything but i've played everquest 1- Planes of Power and they were all very good games but EQOA takes place 500 years before that and there are no level restrictions you will not be KOS anywhere which is pretty cool. I plan on getting the gear for this game and playing to my hearts content and I think it will be a cool game for all RPG players. Play it enjoy it ramble on about it. its cool. and you should at least look at it. THIS GAME WILL ALLOW 3000 people on a single server. YOU HAVE 14 RACES TO CHOOSE FROM the normal human, dwarf, elf, dark elf, ogre, barbarian and the like. I cant think of all the differant classes but there will be Cleric, warrior, monk, rouge, necromancer, you can be almost anything which makes this game so much fun. The PS2 has pretty good graphics and the people at SOE worked with the system to bring out its full potential in this game. it will take you 600-800 hours to get to lvl 50 so this game is money well spent which by the way is going to be $49.99. enjoy the game and maby make a new life in a differant world but a word of caution ITS JUST A GAME and have a nice day

This game is nothing less than brilliant! The graphics and quest lines are wonderful. Although you can not kill other players, who needs to when there are hundreds of other types of monsters to kill out there! I have a lvl 34 shaman a 20 rogue and a 16 Shadow knight and I expect to make a lot more. The massive map is superb and really fun to explore. I use AOL and I haven't had a single problem with error6 messages or anything (contrary to another review) and I have died more than once. And at only $19.95 and $9.95 a month, who can argue. If anyone has played Runescape, Ultima Online, AO or any other of the MMPORPGs you will love this one, no matter what. When you start out, you can join together to form a group to take down mighty beasts, and when you are a mighty warrior you can help others, or battle great foes alone. You will love this game, you have my word. If you play it for a month and you dont like it, then contact Sardromin or Ghats and I will refund you the $30. Seriously, I will.

Now in stores for $14.95 and if you buy into a whole year it ends up being ~$7.50 a month. Okay it's addictive. The randomness of the human element makes this game different every time you play . Welll worst case senario you are stuck waiting for a Ice zombie to appear with 30 other bored to death players . Most of the time you work side by sige in groups of 4 attacking monsters that would otherwise be impossible to slay alone. You find friends online that help you solve the mysteries behind quests and in return you help another "younger" level player do that same quest you once struggled on before. The graphics are poor but the gameplay is incredible. Where else can someone from Florida fight along with someone from Idaho and Canada against a common foe. The community alone is worth it. Like one giant chat room in a virtual world the size of Rhode-island. So put your tv to work get the game and fight along side your new found online friends.

Ok well let me tell you this. The game is AWESOME!!! The worlds are MASSIVE, I swear it take at least an hour to get somewhere. Not saying this in a bad way. Listen BIG maps are very fun to explore I mean very. Seeing that huge monument for the first time is so exciting. You could never be bored in a world this big it is just impossible. The people in the game are just so nice to the younger ones such as my self lvl 11 Barbarian. I haven't even seen the hole map yet. All of you out there should buy the game and give it a try. Payments are easy just buy gamecards thats what I do. I bought 2 and they're only 10 bucks each. They EQOA developers even add new things to keep us mebers happy such as new unique items. Give it a try all you newbies it is a fun world waiting for players like you. we count on you as much as you count on us. Keep at it and don't give up.

I though this game was the bomb if you get bored or anyhting or just dont want to go do something get this game it costs ya to get the stuff and the monthly fee but trust me im the masta its worth it baby YAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!! abd if you hate it thean kill my unsorry little < remove me > at $$. but for all of you who like it go you if you ever want to find me online i play on the server hodstock with either kitumaha or deadly necro. i gave this game a 10 because the graphics are a little crappy but the fact that you get to be online with over 1million baggillion people that just makes it all worth while. i got my friend addicted to this game and now he cant stay off it thats how good it is so take it from me and get EQOA and live the rest of your life poor but happy you wasted ur money on everquest:-)

The professional reviews for this game suck the big one, but I can't see that much wrong with it. The graphics might be on the ugly side, and the weapons could of been more thought out. BUT, with no level restrictions, tons of magical spells, 14 races, and A CHAT FUNCTION, this is one of the most open ended games I've ever played. You literally can't beat this game, since there is so much to choose from. You can even have pets! How cool is that. On another note, for all you people conplaining about a 10$ a month playing fee, it's not that bad. XBox charges you per month to play ANY game. Think about that the next time you complain about having to pay to play 1 PS2 game. So my final score is 8, since this is probably one of the best online games out right now.

Everquest Online Adventures Frontiers is much better than FFXI it is muc heasier to lvl and people who have a problem with how difficult it is to lvl at high lvl in EQOA will be ver ydissappointed with FFXi as it is even harder! Not to mention EQOA Jobs have many more ablities than any class in FFXI even with a sub job! FFXI is sooooooooooo boring stick with EQOA! The battles are also much faster paced in EQOA and the area are much bigger and the quest are much more interseting. EQOAF improved the graphics greatly and the yare way up there with FFXI! Not to mention you can actually lose a lvl in FFXi! thats right! Experience debt is a much better system! I got my Dragoon/Warrior up to lvl 60/30 but then I could no longer stand it! EQOAF all the way!

Alright being an Aol user like i am error6 is getting on my last nerve i mean i havent had this much difficulty with an online game since hell ever. I'v worked hard raising my characters and onece they die they recieve an error6 from there on making it impossible to use. i know your thinking why not use another isp the reason for that is calling in i was on hold for 3 hrs before i got to talk to someone and i really dont feel like doing it again.So this game is for everyone but AOL users.
I do agree about weapons looking alike and that you cant kill other players but you have to think you bought this game for $20 you cant expect that much from it maybe these things will be included in the next one.

I think at high lvl it get too hard to lvl up and ppl witha lfe cant play this game the quests are impossible to finish at 50+ since the mobs r never up so wtf and the CM pts r impossible to get (i get per hour of intensive grind)and killing the same mobs again and again is not so entertaining im just playing this till FF11 come.The graphique stinks ppl are greedy and selfish and u have debt when you die people who have the more money tunar think they rule everything( its like a realistic society game)and if u raid and u have more than 1 group u get major lag and screen freeze.My best advice is dont get addicted once u have friends u cant quit.

This game for me was just going to be a side game for me one that would eise the pain of FF XI begin so far away or maby not showing at all here. BUT! when i frist played it in beta the game was really fun i can tell that the main focus on this games is not the graphics but the gameplay. When i reached lvl 20 the game evn got better i took a while but made it. After 20 you think you are the S#%t but just wait until another walk buy and he is lvl 30 something then you feel samll once more. =) But if you are looking for a great RPG online this is it until FF XI for me.

This the greatest game out there the graphics are ok, the fights are pretty good but the storyline great that review that says you cant have a life and play is not true i have a life and play, my best friend has a character on my ps2 and only plays when he is at my houes and is lvl 22 so i say this is the best game out there so go buy it and even if you hate it just keep playing till you r lvl 10 and you will get addicted and will love it adn if you alredy have the game and need to play with sombody look me or my friend up i am Razkazy and he is telfyr

I think this is the best Ps2 game ever. EVen thorough u have to pay the fees it's worth it. The graphics are good there not to bad i mean there is a hole world so u cant want the best graphics ever its not possiable. The game is really fun u get to make friends and have fun with them. The first day i played i was hooked i made one friend then one more and so on. I think most people are just mad because u have to pay the fees well F*** u then. I think u should atleast give the game a try once u get to lv 20 and u still dont like it then u can quite.

I have played this game since the first day it came out. It is one of the best ps2 games I have ever played. Yeah you do have to pay $50 and then $10 a month but it is worth it. You get to choose from 14 different races and there are 7 different Big towns. Also you get to play online with other people and chat and play with them against other groups. The weapons are not so good but the spells and armour are amazing. Basically if you get the chance to buy this do it. Everquest Online Adventures is worth it.

I think everquest is the best game 4 the ps2 ever. the graphics may not be all that great but the fact that u can interact with 1000s of people around the world is great. I think it is fun slaying goblins with friends from montana. The game itself is constantly changing and there is always something new 2 explore or kill.the newly added trade skills make everquest more exciting by allowing you to craft your own armor weapons and jewlery. Im sorry to say it but this game is not to great. First off you have to pay $50.00 to buy it then you have to pay 10 a month just to play it. I think it is a complete waste mainly because the quality of the game is not to great, there is no chat function, and the fighting is somewhat tedious and repetitive. I think maybe if this game would be free like most other online games then it wouldnt be so bad. I think that the 10.00 a month is steep just to pay one game thats not that great.
