This game is the greatest! With the new dueling thing, and the two Nanman stages, and all the stage separation and the three new officers (Cao Ren, Yue Ying and Zhou Tai...who is bloody well WICKED, you just can't beat it! The way you can control the sequences is great too, just because some of us are too lazy to go through with everything! I have spent hours playing it so far, and have beaten it with Lu Meng and Lu Xun (I like Wu), and I still am not even beginning to get tired of it! It has that never-ending potential that keeps on dragging you back for more- whether you want to or not! Why can't some of you see that?! How many ways can I say how great this game is? Apparently not enough, for I still feel as though I am not doing it justice!

The original idea of DW2 was great, huge battles, good storyline, excellent gameplay....but im sorry to break to all of you hardcore DW fans, but...the game has gotten stale. The gameplay is the exact same as the other two,not to mention the fact that the characters are the same, as are the weapons and items. Really the only new update is the officer edit, and im sorry to say, just does not cut it. The gameplay is good yet repititive,the graphics while better still don't compare to other games,the music confuses me one stage you have rock & roll the next you have some wierd chinese song.The only thing that can save this series is the next DW they have a better officer edit and a map edit. As i said in my one line summary, a good idea gone bad.

From the first two games to this game is a very BIG change. If you ask me i think the first two were not that good and 3 was ok but then the 4th came and I will never let anyone barrow it because it's so good. Ever since I bought this game i've played it almost 5 hours a day and never got sick of it once since I got it a week ago and it's been a blast. From creating your own General to creating your own bodyguards. Even though there is no cheats yet it's ok. From stuning graphics, to just the game play it's great. But one of the problems with the game is sometimes it can be frustrating and at timess you just wanna throw your controller on the ground but that only happened to me once when my friend turned it on hard without telling me. Other than that one bad fact it's a great game and I suggest you go out and get it.

This is the best Dynasty Warriors Ever. The New maps are cooler and more fun to play. I love the new looks for the officers. Only if you can have weapons and items for your body guards like it Dynasty warriors 3 Xtreme Legends. the body guard weapons looks plain. Besides that it is the best Dynasty Warriors I've played.

I am constantly watching & waiting for amazing game quality. DW4 has absolutely hit that mark! So many characters and outfits, vast and limitless excitement, intense action and breathtaking/daring brawls that DO require cunning. So many maps... it makes my head spin! But... Yes, BUT... it could use very extensive work on the "Edit Mode." LIke, more weapons, much better costume possibilities(and more costumes combos), be able to have 6 or so created characters, etc. Oh, and I agree wholeheartedly with a previous statement about creatable maps.

I loved all the other dynasty warrior games in the series, but this one takes the cake. I think that they could add way more to the carachter creation because whenever i create someone they look exactly the same as the other guy. They could also add more combos. My favorite person(lu xun) goes harder that a 5 mile thick wall of steel. After i tried more people i found that Zhou Tai is better.The game has pretty good graphics and prety good vices and game play,but the music made me want to turn down the volume.I Dynasty Warriors 3 when it first came out and i beat and restarted it about 12 times. It seemed like i was playing the game for the first time every time. This game seems to have the same potential. The only thins i didnt like about the game was the music and the limited carachter creation system. The weapon experience system should go higher that level 9. It should got to like 20 like the items. I love the orbs and items system, but the system on dynadty warriors 3 is more understandable than this one. Over all this game is great and would be a good buy andi cant wait for the next installment to come outk. I will be the first to buy it. Lu Xun and Zhou Tai rule.

Dynasty Warriors 4 is the best in the series and the reason it follows the same story line is because if they didnt they would have to have all new warriors every time. This is because in the different mosou modes you kill the generals i mean come on would u really want a dynasty warriors game without Lu Bu or Ma Chao? I wouldn't!!1

The Bombardiers - the edit mode - the new maps/characters are all a great idea and this is a fun game, but I know I will be sick of it in a month or two. The creators should have added more to the edit mode - for example I believe an edit mission would have been fun. Some way to create my own circumstances and to have something happen if the player does something in particular or to create my own dynasty to have me be their feared leader and what-not. Anyway - it could be better - but I am still going to buy the next one even if it is the same thing over again.

The character design is top notch, the gameplay is great as usual, the managment system is getting better, the voice acting is excellent this time around, graphics are nice, the stages are very well done. However, the edit mode leaves much to be desired, the bodyguards are mindless zombies who don't listen to your commands, and your troops are as useless as ever leaving the player to do EVERYTHING and run to EVERY inch of the field. And worst of all the strategic element is no where to be found, I mean come on I'm a hardcore RotTK fan and I need REAL strategy!!! But the game is addictive because of all its positive points. Not Bad 8/10 :)

Dynasty Warriors 4 is the best damn game ever. The new characters and new items make it even better. There are so many stages that you wouldn't want to ever quit playing. The movies were really cool and the graphics were just great. The new costumes for the charcters are really cool and there are a variety of them now. If you never have played a Dynasty Warriors game, I suggest you play this beacuse this is the best damn game in the series.

This game is so wierd it follows the exact same story line as the other 4 games. And no matter what army u are on the other army is aoutomaticaly better in all ways and your troops always suxx i mean they might as well put your guy in there all alone since your the only one that can fight half desent (and Lu Bu).Plus all they did was add a few new characters and thats all they do with every sequel to this homo game so if u ask me in order to make this game any better make the levels diffrent new storyline lots of new characters and for gods sake make better armys and be able to let you control some of your own me i mean whats the point of havein troop if you cant control them.

This game was one of the best and most fun games i have ever played. it was cool with the duels. the new items are also really cool. i really recommend it. i think that with the ability to keep going on your weapon and not just stop at lvl 9 will defenitly make this game better. i think that since you get a $#< remove me > at ! load of experience, you will be alot better as a player, i think they should make the opponents forces a little better though.in other words i think you should get it.

I have say i was impressed with the new interactions with the background and the better change in the maps. Making the stories more complicated and harder to figure out whats going to happen next. Although they could have done better on the voices i must say you might as well as made monkeys do Wei yan's voice. Also they could have put the music to better use like a paper wait!!! The music horrible and not even going with the chinese story line!!! But, over all game play is good and things are looking up for koei in the future....

I would have to say that Dynasty warriors 4 is a very good game indeed. The addition of orbs and weapon experience system is a much needed twist to the previous game. The only bad part is that some of the voices just plain suck, but you get used to it.

This game is the sweetest game i have ever played. I got mine on Mrch 31 and i haven't stopped playing it. The weapon system is the best idea they've ever had for thw D.W. games. The duels are awsome. They give u a chance to take out an officer without haveing to worry about the enemies around you. And the ground pound attack is an added plus.

i have all the dw games.i recomend 3 and 4.3 was ok.but got to easy.4 is the best.the new levels and charicters rule.my favirot person (Zhao Yun) is even better.if you like stratigy and action games i recomend dw4.making your own charicters is ok.but they should give you mor stuff to edit them with.i cant wait untell the new dw comes out.

Dynasty warriors was great and it had everything. The officer builder was one big reason i got it, but the builder was so lame
it was a big disapointment. i hope in DW5 its way better. In a better look,this was one of the best games i have ever played. I have been a DW fan since the Dw2 came out.

I was a huge....HUGE Dynasty Warriors 3 fan. This game was pretty awsome but I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. I think DW3 is a little better. HOWEVER, Dynasty Warriors 4 provides, 20 new levels and 3 newe characters. And you can clear the game with more than one person at a time as with DW3 you had to play it over and over and over and over. This is a must have game for all ACTION fans. GREAT NEW GRAPHICS and SWEEEEEEEEEEEET movies. I love to watch the movies. Its up there with Final Fantasy graphics during them. If you do not have this game, or have never played a Dynasty Warriors game in the series. . . please go for this one

KOEI has done it again. When Dynasty Warriors 3 came out I didn't think it could be better but now that 4 is out in stores the game has step it up to a new level. Dynasty Worriors 4 is hot!! I cant stop playing this game it is so fun and it keeps me up all night just playing and training my created warrior. Thats right my "created" warrior, one of the new things that improved in the game. Man this game is hot, in fact im going to play it right now, see ya.
