A couple of my guy friends own this game and they had told me that it was "all that!" Since the game still cost a lot even though it's been out for a while now, I took their word for it and bought the game without renting it first. Boy was I disappointed! I don't know what all the gamers who gave this game a 9 or 10 were playing but I sure wasn't playing a perfect game. Why can't I change the language like in part 3? The American voices are done so horribly. A lot of the characters have little or no emotions in their voices. What's up with only 3 new characters too? The story was pretty similar to part 3 (part 3 blew me away because it was so much better than part 2), which was a drag. Part 2,3, and now 4 have the same story line basically. I was expecting a new story and a huge new line-up of characters who existed several years later after the wars from part 3. I hate the weapon experience system too. Your troops, officers included, are still dumb as hell and can't really fight for themselves. I really DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IS LU BU STILL SO POWERFUL. He's even more powerful in this chapter. Characters like Zhuge Liang and Zhen Ji have a hard time fighting him. Also, why did they make Cao Cao, Guan Yu, and Ga Ning weaker? These guys were able to stand up to Lu Bu in part 3 but now... especially Cao Cao is too weak and he's not fast either. With the game still being around a hefty $50 for a game that's been out for a while now, I suggest that old fans rent this game first. If you're completely new to the series, you'll probably like it.

I think this is the best dynasty warriors game ever the graphics have improved tremendously since dw3 the new characters are great their better than i had imagined. The reason KOEI keep doing the same storyline is because the game is based on a book written centuries ago by Luo Guan-Zhong so they cant change the 3 kingdoms history the 3 kingdoms really existed. The soundtracks have got better but, the voices are still pretty crummy though. The new weapon exp system is good but I miss picking up weapons from defeated officers though. Its still really great. The game is pretty expensive but its well worth it though. Im still playing on it after a couple of months and all my friends enjoy it. The game has improved heaps and bounds I cant wait for a dynasty warriors 5!!!!!

The game is great, except for the fact that the new weapon system takes away from the fun of Dynasty warrior 3 where you had to search for your weapon, and I hate that the gate captains are impossible to beat especially on hard and only give you a damn food bun....otherwise the game is awesome.

I love this game for lots of reasons. First the graphics in the game are amazing and the charachters seem very real. There is lots of space for your own cool people with powerful wepons. The story line is very real and there are useful announcements of whats going on in a level. I have been addicted to it ever since I bought it and is my best game. If I could, I would give it 20/10 because it is so cool

Hi all u people its me again i already did this thing twice but...is just really cool this game is great and for all u new game players out there just to tell u this game is highly addictive and the best part about it is that it never gets old and theres always something u havn't done before like once u get all the items u can try for the 10 weapons then onces u gottin every thing u can play levels for fun or play challenge mode (personnel favorite bridge melay)but if ur a gamer from number three then at first the enhanst graphics and crap seem like its hard but after a while it becomes so fun and easy with over 40 characters (personal favorite xu zhu)(tubby) ok peace out...........tubby rules

This is the best game ever. I play every single day and each day like for 14 hours. it's like i never turn off the game. It has the best graphics, new cool characters, awsome new unique attacks and weapons, and finally the best one i like to do, EDIT MODE! All those people who don't have it, BUY IT! You'll be so happy!

This is by far the best one yet, though there are still minor flaws. First, I would of enjoyed having more new characters instead of only three. Also a more detailed character edit would be really nice. I mean the bodyguard edit is more detailed. Also i think it would be really cool if you could have two people against eachother in free mode. If someones a better dueler than me then i would like to have generals and men helping me. The last thing that bothers me is the unrealism of the commanders strength. When i was fighting at fan castle, i ran away to find health,when i ran away guan yu had perfect health, but died the minute he was out of my screen. other than that its really good.

this game rules but one of the problems is that ive had it for 5 months now and i still cant find a harness wats wid dat. another problem is that the edit mode isnt very good cos u should get to choose the moves and ther should be more cloths.
the best things about the game r that u can play it for hours tryin to kill hard ppl lik lubu(i still havnt killed him on hulao gate) and the graphics rule i think its the best game i own and i own hundreds of games. this game is definitly worth buyin

obviously one of the much better games made , it gives players a feeling that they are really in the battle itself, really cool graphics. the character'e and their abilities are limit-less , always able to create new combos.and futhur more you can even create your own warrior.but it could use more projectiles instead of the usual bow and arrows, a must but for all game fans , a really good game . try it out. two thumbs up for KOEI (the maker)

Dynasty warriors 4 works for me, it is one of the greatest games i have ever played.Compared to the other ones there is no competition there is lots more to do if you enjoy these games i suggest you buy it.I really loved it is one of the best games out i think.

This game by far surpasses what it's hype was for it. I have to admit at first the previews for the game made me think twice about buying the game but under my brothers very sound, and wise advise; I bought the game and played it for the first night...i didn't go to sleep that night and going to work became a task after a couple days of this game. My life started to revolve around it for a good 2 weeks...terrible for my life yes; but a **** good game plain and simple.

the gameplay is endless and the graphics are excellent. There is a wide range of characters that you can unlock during the game. You can also train up your characters so they can get better. You can collect items and ride on animals. Ther is an edit screen where you can edit bodyguards and officers.

Da name K.O i like DW4 but god no reward for doing lots of combo how gay is dat i mean like in DW2 when u do a combo more than 8 hits u get an item for sure wat happen in DW4???
DW4 is good for having 42 general dat u can pick but wat the use of it most of the general is so crap no use picking them esp when they so weak too n wat the point of raising ur att n defence for the character it just a waste of time it not like u going to use da same character for every story.
The good things bout DW4 is dat the general dat u VS don't keep on charging they life point like DW2 i just love it make it more easy to kill.
No comment for da sound n graphics doesn't really matter to me. just the gameplay n fun factor dat count. It would be better if dat was more mode to it instead of just da musou mode i mean there should be more things dat u can do in da game play as for ex. rescue ally, making trap for da enemy blowin up the enemy into piece cuttin them in half how mad would dat be going from behide the enemy (a little of Tenchu stlye) easy kill wat happen to the blood, i sure in da chinese dynasty people get they head chop off n body part
Lu Bu if i was right he suppose to be da greatest no other general can beat him, just a story i heard from da adult dat he got gang up from all of the popular general just to be defeat Da great Lu Bu wat a history oh yeah when u see him just run like hell run for ur life of u get slice a couple of time n ur dead if from da back 2-3 hits n ur history is ova lolz. If u want to fight him well here wat i suggested block his attack until u see him shine like he was going to use his specail than u jump n hit the Triangle button dat should send him flying up in mid air, free shot for u i suggest only 2 free shot just repeat it so easy to kill him work for all general. if i mention any more stuff dan it will be too easy.
oh yeah people complain we want better gameplay n fun factor in DW5 a little more action n if possible a lilo of Tenchu Stlye how fun would it be killing with one hit cuttin soldier in half blood more blood more blood more blood more blood more blood

I think this is one of the best games of all time because thers so much stuff to do.Deffinately the best dynasty warriors in the series yet.koei did a great job with making this game and added a lot of new things.Ilike Lubu the best because hes straight out the best.But myother really good character is Cao Cao.my friend temo and Ispend like14-15 hours a day playing this game daily.My friend temo's best character is Xu Huang.But his other greatest character is Xiahou Dun.We are some big ass fans of koei so we just wanna say keep on making those crazy ass games.we think you guys have made good games in the past but none as good as this one.we have a ps2 and a memory card,two controllers,a multitap.we hope you make more dynasty warrior games with the style you have it right now on.this game has some funny looking characters like xu zhu cuz his square when hes running is funny cuz it helps him move cuz hes so fat.it is also funny when you look at dong zhuos mole because its so huge and its in the middle of his forehead.you guys have a great game so keep it up,make more of these games and ill buy them all.

this game is the best: graphics stroy lines gameplay new wepons addons more extra stuff. the only thing i miss is the wepons....best game ever though but soul calibur 2 may be better. i give them boths 10s though. well all i can say is get it get sc2 (soul calibur 2) get dw4 anddw3 not 1 or 2 especialy Halo but this is rated M so dont KID around get it?

Out of all koei games this one catches my attention.Ever scince I held the first Dynasty worriors game I had no idea what was in store for me.ACTION,STRATEGY,AND FUN!!! I think all the dynasty warriors games rock.I think they just get better and better!!!! Also the newest one DW4! I think the same for dynasty warriors 5,6,7 and so on!

Dynasty warriors 4 is very fun and is hard to get bored from. I think it should be on the internet and be able to have a four player thing too.I think the wu is the best team and Lu Xun is a very good officer, I dont like Lu Bu because he is too strong and all my friends hate Lu Bu more than I do, so I think nobody should be Lu Bu. sorry to all you Lu Bu lovers. This game should also have a little blood, or at least on the movies. Hopefully there will be a expansion like DW# extreme legends or Dynasty WArriors 5. I would recemend this game to anyone who has a PS2.

I voted this game a 7 because in Dynasty Warriors3 you could have up to 4 weapons to pick from.In DW4 u get stuck with one. I admit the game has a little of better graphics then the other DW games but that's about it also just a few more levels then the other games. That's about it. I like the 3 new generals but they would be a lot better in DW3 u could see their other weapons that they have. If I could rate DW3 I would give it a 10.Finally, I hate the new music that they have for the new game's main menu. It really STINKS!
