I'm a big fan of this series but i was very dissapointed with the newest addition. The only thing thats changed are some minor changes to the way you fight, a choice on male or female b guards, a weird weapon exp system(totally dumb), new character models, and 13 new maps. Sounds cool but theres really no diff than extreme legends. O ya did i mention there are 3 diff characters.... 3! DW3 introduced like 20 new characters. Its still mindless button mashing , no stradegy at all. You win in the amount of time it takes you to run the length of the map and kill every officer. I mean come on theres nothing new at all. It took koei a year to come out with this?? First of all, the new moves(falling triangle attack, taunt, and jumping off horse) should of been put in extreme legends and then DW4 should have new fresh ideas. I can't believe the onlything you changed in the flow of the battle are different messages and destroyable towers. No extra combos its just a match to see who can hit the most buttons. Its still like DW2 where your trroops sux ballz and couldn't defend themselves. I was hoping that there would be something added to this game to actually make it interesting.

....................the only thing i found interesting was the weapons and costumes in Dynasty warriors the people sucked big time. I mean who likes Zhang he(i don't know how to spell his name)he likes butterflies. My favourite character was Da Qiao and the ones I created. The troops never follow you when you are the boss and the bodyguards only do up to 8. Finding Da Qiao and Xiao Qiao was realy hard because you don't know where everybody is until you try knew places and areas. Dynasty warriors was a whole knew gaming system for me because I learn the controls and buttons for attacks and jumping and mounting horses and elephants. 1ne thing is geting new items, weapons and costumes was hard because you have to kill certain bosses and officers and all the hibby geeby(don't know what that means either)was kinda confusing. Koie( correct me if the spelling is wrong)is the best game makers in the world but they make their games so hard to get the people and new weapons. They made a game simillar to Dynasty warriors that is called samuri warriors the only things that have changed are the characters weapons costumes and items. That was my reviewon dynasty warriors 1 2 3 4.

This game is osum. I only have number 3 and 4 and and number 4 beats number 3 by a mile!!. only number 4 will let you make your own warrior. Your warrior can have a sowrd a pike and a spear. and you get to put osum gear on him. this game is deffently the best out of the series. the graphics are so cool and so is the music. the best part is the wars really happend. They just added the majic in it to make it more fun but Liubay coa coa sunjion where real people and so where all the other officers.this game is so cool i garinteed you you will love it. when i first got it i wanted to play it so much but my parents made me go to bed so i went to bed. i woke up 3 times in the night beacase i wanted to play. when it was finnaly morning i played it. it was 10 times better then i thot it was. if dyneysty warriors 5 came out i bet it would be so much better. if you get LuBu the you will be able to beat any one.even tho it takes a long time to get LuBu strong and an even longer time to get him but its all worth it once you get a level 10 weopon with LuBu youll be unbeatable. you should tell your parents to go to the video game store right now and get Dynasty Warriors 4

All you have to do is kill the 2 officers from the north (were Shu are), south (were Wei are) and east (were Wu are). Then take one of the horses from the officers you kill and charge down to Hu Lao Gate. Then when the cut-scene comes on showing the ram destroying the gate charge in, and then another cut-scene will come on showing Lu Bu on Red Hare. Gallop past him and keep running in circles for a while, eventually he will head back to the gate. Then stay left of the gate and kill Diao Chan and head through the other gate to Luo Yang, you are sorted after that. Or you could do the same thing and lure Lu Bu to one of the Han Generals (Sun Jian, Cao Cao or Lui Bei) and they should take care of him!
P.s Hope my review helped folks plus; Dynasty Warriors kicks butt! It is an awesome game and every Dynast warriors that has come out is great. The graphics are really decent and i love that the game is really long to complete because it makes it better. I love the people when they get killed and they make the impressions thats really good. The fun factor on the game is really high because you can neve get bored of it. The speeches and people sound so original!

This game is an awesome game. There is only one problem, it is really hard to get good at and getting all of the generals is immpossible. The best generals for begginers are.
Guan yu
Leu bei
Xiahun dun
The best generals for experianced are,
Lu bu
Lu xun
Diao chan
zhao yun
My favorite character is Lu xun because i can beat anyone with him (beat lu bu on hard in 2 minutes)
When u get your 4th lvl weopen you get a really powerful move. You hit them 4 times then use your magic attak and you will hit the enemy up in the air then u jump up and hit them down again, from that posision u can use your meteor attak (very effective on generals)
I hope that you can use this information for when you get this game. And if u do musho(or whatever) mode i suggest doing the story of wu or shu. After that you can do lu bu's. In my opinion wei is really hard. I hope you can use all of this information to help you! (just for the best players) I bet that you can not beat my score on the endurance test. With Lu xun i was able to defeat 3000 people, i died because of that freaking lu bu's magic attak, he hit me into another general and then that one killed me.

dw4 rocks on but one thing that sucks is creat-a-player mode the best i got was a Fu Xi look alike with his sword:) im a fan of the series and will always be but the character mode is just wrong, you have to be able to make a character look like a pimp or a warrior, NOW THATS DETAIL!! lubu rocks i have gotten him to be my best character other than zhao yun or my fu xi look alike:) the 10 weapons are sooo coool they look cool and for the most part are about +10 hit points better(power). im gonna show this game to my grandkids and they probably gonna say man those graphics suck, cuz we problabaly going to have holograms or something that day, heck we might have virtual reality dynasty warriors 9,:) thats something i would like to see from koei!!! i got this game the day after it came out and i havent put it down since, i love it so much i read the instruction manual before i go to bed at night!!:) i think this game is worth all 50 dollars i payed for it!! (i think?) when the game slows down and my health bar,k.o.s, and map dissappear i usually get frustrated and say "is my musou full yet"! cuz usually when that happens your surrounded by many enemies!!

My and friend and i live off this game. I love it, and i think it is one of the best games ever. The new duel stage is an awsome addtion and i dare say, the graphics are kick ***!! The new costumes for each charcter are the best. When i fisrt rented this game I was hooked. I just couldn't stop playing it. There are new moves, new characters, and totaly different levels to play on. But the sad thing was at the end of the week I had to return the game! So after at least What seemed like a lifetime of playing D4 at my friends house (at least a month and I was still hooked) i finally got Dynasty Warriors 4. Koei has definetly made a great game for PS2. The levels can go a lot faster with the new pick up speed boots. It increases your speed for thirty seconds and when i first grabbed this pick up and i was moving so fast i couldn't believe it. Dynasty Warriors 3 has NOTHING on 4!!!! The longest i have ever, and i mean ever played a game was for over 24 hours without any moving for the game system. While playing Dynasty Warriors 4 i broke my old time and made a new record, 51 hours 23 mins. and 17 seconds. Thatz how freaking obsessed i am with this game.

Dynasty warriors 4 xtreme legends is a realy tight game, I like the fact that you can charge into a group of guys and "wipe them out". it is alot better than DW3 because the graphics look quite real and you can dule the officers.And if you dont like Lu Bu youre freakin reitared.If you havent played this game get your fatass over to blockbuster or wherever the hell you go just go their damn it.wait a sec we forgot to mention our favorite people(s) sun ce you cant go wrong with sun ce man I mean he has freakin bamboo sticks aka (tonfas).but zhang he is gay aka (flower man) he kinda looks like a woman and hes a reitard monkey bal sucker. how come theres no black officers, black guys are tight. (ryan wrote all that cool crap).Now Zhou tia aka(samurai)he is Tarans favorite charicter his lv 10 weapon is a 6' long katana named dusk.he is really good because his moves are realy fast and yet powerful, his two square one triangle move dose a number of hits equeal to the weapon level and stuns them.ryan talking now. ma chao special is f%#&%ng tight he goes in the air spins his spear does the matrix moes everyone down witha a huge b$&CH slap from his spear.

zhang jiao sucks... i mean hes good at fire and all, but he should be better than that, pang tong and zhang jiao should team up and take down the han dynasty. i dont play Lu Bu, he doesnt fit me, but i do play zhao yun, my edited char. mulan is awsome w/ sun jians sword, my bodyguards are elite. and i have beat wei, all that stands in my way is wu! shu is the ultimate dynasty, besides Lu Bu's. Lu Bu stands no threat to me, zhuge liang sucks his fire attack at bo wan po sucked, i go w/ zhang fei, shu doesnt need a strtegist, the only threat to me is meng hou! if you go directly to his land, and kill him, you win the battle. my friend can not kill me in versus mode, hes always using Gan Ning, we started playing versus mode when i wanted to wipe out the Wu dyansty with one person, zhao yun!!! Koel you should make an online dynasty warriors, then people around the world can be beat by my prowess! It is weird how every unlock all characters cheats i get, they dont work. I hate this. (my hand hurts now) the only tv show i watch (maybe 2) is g4tv cheat. and Charmed. i eat hot cheetos with cream soda, it gets my hands worked up when i am fighting in dw4

Dynasty Warriors 4 is awesome because it is challenging because it has strategy, faith, and hope within it. It is really easy to earn the red hare harness and you have to think a lot to get through the game so you have to be smart.I compliment the makers of this game because they made it challenging.The best part about it is that you get to have fun and you are entertained. I liked this game because it was challenging and i hope you like it too! Everything in this game has strategy and my favorite charecter is SunShangXiang she is a tomboy just like me. Also warrior princesses are awesome. the graphics are really cool too. it actually shows the persons flexibility and actions. The sounds were great. They actually put the voices of people getting hurt and torchered. the lifespan showed greatly within the game,etc. The funfactor is another cool thing in this game, we all enjoy the game in my family. i hope there is a Dynasty Warriors 6 (i know there is a 5)The value of the game was percise i would say it matches into the game fully!! The originality is very extrodinary and lifelike!! i hope you enjoyed my review see ya!!!

DW4 is a great game based on Chiness history.I started playing DW4 when my friend borowed DW2.Once DW4 came out,I started saving up for it.The voice of the characters are not as good as DW3.Graphics are mad except for the fire.LuBu is still no match for ME!Sound affects are cool.My favarite general is LuBu,Zhao Yun,Zhou Yu and Xiahou Dun.Should make the officers like Cheng Pu have realistic face.Bodyguards are like generals when they are ellite,to strong.should add that the character can call for duals.And the charater should have the real weapon when start of anything and work it's way up for higher attack power.Weapon deadlocks are better than DW3.The attacks,charge attacks and mosou are dead stuck the same, could make it doing different moves each time.Harnesess are hard to get.I still have'nt got one.
The orbs and items are good.Could swear more like "Scum".In the encyclapedia mode,should add a timeline that goes in order of every event that happend.This will make it esier to understand the history.Other then those,the game is fantastic and every one with a ps2 or xbox should get it.KOEI,your the BEST!!!

I have been a diehard fan of the games since number three.
This version could almost be called hypocritical. Sort of that three steps forward and two steps back type of thing. The graphics for one have improved, the officer and bodygaurd edit is a plus but then there is the new weapon system. I mean the weapons are almost the highlight of the games and this one's weapon uprade system is WEAK!! I do however think the biggest improvment is the enlargment of musuo, Vs, and challenge modes.
It rocks being able to play the game from all sides of the story even if the A.I stays in one place untill you engage them. I've heard people say a lot different things about the orbs, some I agree with and others make me laugh. I laugh mainly because some people seem to have sold there soul to this game and that is distubingly funny. Anyway, I stand benevolent towards the orbs. They could be there or not be there, i dont care. The effects the go with the blast, vorpal and lightning orbs are yet simple.
I've already played this game long enough to give a seisure, but seeing as it hasn't, I think I might just play a little more

I loved DW4 (Guan Yu and Lu Bu are kings of all), but some of the voices seem like they are trying too hard (such as the line "God of War, my foot! What's so great about Guan Yu?") and Sun Ce's "pop" is embarrasing to listen to, but the game is truly eye candy. The makers certainly didn't rush this game out the door. Lu Bu seems harder to beat in 4, while he was slightly easier in 3. I also like it that even if you are on easy mode, you can get just enough pts. to be maxed out by the end of the game. If there is one character that they shouldn't have put in this game, it would have to be Zhang He. I never played as him, but all this beauty crap is annoying, and he's frustrating to beat. I think that they should've kept Nu Xi. I will give a word out to everyone, it is that when you are playing as Wu, you can make to Wu tales the Qiao sisters appear by Clearing Wu Musou Mode once, and then in Act I, pick the Yellow Turban Fortress, then The Yellow Turban Rebellion. It should be before either Act II or Act III. And, in my personal opinion, Shu is the best, for all of you out there that are wishing to buy.

this game is simply the best, I had never played any of the other games in the series, but me and a friends rented it one day and from the moment I stuck in the disk to the moment I started playing I loved it .... I found the graphics to be extremely smooth, I found the sound to be alright a lot of the music was enjoyable for me and im very picky about music, the fun factor was way above any other games than I have ever played, I believe my fifty bucks went to something that I wont ever put down the over all game play is one of the reasons why, I thought the fact that it was created off of an actual novel, and the customization options available for the fact that it follows the novel so closely, well the fun factor...I think the score I gave it speaks for me I mean..10 stars hello! someone must have done something right here!, the game could be better, everything could, but im not exactly sure how it could be better, well I have beaten the game several times, and I think one of the best qualities of the game is its replay quality, never have I played a game so many times before with out getting bored of it.

This game is great, I meen really....The graphics are awsome, the gameplay or whatever you call it is awsome, the weapon system is awsome, the duels are kinda good but the fact that the officers and generals block so much really really ticks me off.... The fact that I go on the all-out offensive and never block or parry, gets me seriously hacked up most of the time....Oh um, one more thing.... the archers and bow men and the crossbowmen really tick me off aswell.... They hit you 100% of the time and even when you are standing 6inches in front of them they still shoot you and it messes up your plans if you wanna do like a charge or one of those run-up attack thingies....they should at least make it so they miss alot and dont hit you as much....more like DW3.... Oh and another thing, for some reason every time i leave my bodyguards alone like at camp or at like a place where there is like no one, I'll come back about a second later and like 1/3 of each and every one of their life gauges is gone for no reason.... thatn needs to be worked on.... overall I give this game a 10 out 10.... You all should get it....

THIS GAME ROCKS.
THe first one i played was DW 3 Demo . I absolutely loved it and played the 2 minute demoover and over. Very resently as soon as i saw DW4 in blockbuster i rented it like 5 times in a row, but i cant find it ANYWHERE IN THE SHOPS!. i will search for it.
Graphics are Very good. I just unlocked 8 bodyguards rank Elite and level 14 or something . they 0\/\/N!
I always use my created warrior on edit mode he looks cool and i dress my bodyguards to match . i have a level 3 Crusher sword (you get after the great sword) and 5 attacks. Its sooo goo.
Only bad thing is that privates and seargeants have to wait around for about 5 minutes before they attack once or twice, then wait another 5 minutes thats soo stupid. but once u get Elite guard.
I had to play the level where u attack Lu Bu's castle about 20 times before i defeated lu bu. but i saved right before the gates open so eventually i beat him. Hes soo hard especially when u get him on low health then he does that ANOYING 20 combo and whacks you on the floor. My guards saved me. this game is great. Multiplayer screen bit to small.

I think this is one of the best games of all time because thers so much stuff to do.Deffinately the best dynasty warriors in the series yet.koei did a great job with making this game and added a lot of new things.Ilike Lubu the best because hes straight out the best.But myother really good character is Cao Cao.my friend temo and Ispend like14-15 hours a day playing this game daily.My friend temo's best character is Xu Huang.But his other greatest character is Xiahou Dun.We are some big ass fans of koei so we just wanna say keep on making those crazy ass games.we think you guys have made good games in the past but none as good as this one.we have a ps2 and a memory card,two controllers,a multitap.we hope you make more dynasty warrior games with the style you have it right now on.this game has some funny looking characters like xu zhu cuz his square when hes running is funny cuz it helps him move cuz hes so fat.it is also funny when you look at dong zhuos mole because its so huge and its in the middle of his forehead.you guys have a great game so keep it up,make more of these games and ill buy them all.

i think that this is the best dynasty game made and a secret i learned is that to beat lu bu it is best to run!!! no but i think beating lu bu in the beginning was hard but a tip is create your own guy. make it male. give it all armor exept give him a sash then make sure you give him the "great sword" then when you start the game. kill every yellow terban soldier that opposes you and run around get a whole bunch of them afrter you then use your mousu and level them all in one shot. then a message will come up saying go to the general DON'T! stay and make sure there isn't a single yellow terban left! have fun with it! keep on killing until you have 400 ko's then head up to the general and annihilate him! then do the same to all the levels and you will get A LOT of exp.and another thing to do is you can let the other people slowly defeat lu bu then go and clean him up. word of wisdom is never ever unless your a rank one general and have major skills take the lu bu challenge. he can regenerate his life so your always taking one step forward and like 5 steps back. so take this advice and go kick butt!!!!
