i play this game like, every day and i got all costumes for lubu and his 10th weapon.i love the graphics but don't understand why when the officers die their mouth really isn't moving. the forces i have unlocked are dong zouh, lubu, yuon shou, nan man, and yellow turban. i love all characters and harnesses but i only got the red hare harness. this is how you get it:
in musou mode start lubu and go to xia pi and when you go their find guan yu(puch start, go to unit info and push X on liu bei and go to guan yu.) when you see him start a battle with him and run away to the bottom right corner of the map where a lake is and there will be a walk way. go down it. you should see red hare. wait by it but don't ride it. just be patient and wait for guan yu DON'T LEAVE! when he gets there don't kill him and eventually there will be acene where he gets on red hare. kill him and there will be a black and red box. break it and you got red hare

All right DW4 kicks butt, but lets face it, there are very few improvements from DW3. I loved how you can ride on horses at the begging of the level along with elephants; damage from the horse seems to have increased(especially with Ma Chao), and the shadow steed is awesome. However, Koei robbed us of a few things. First of all there were barely any new characters, and not a single secret one. The create a character is a piece of $#< remove me > at ! because you dont really get to change the costume of the new character and you dont get to change his face at all so they all look alike. And the worst thing about it was the horrible AI. Some times I'll be fighting groups of five compts (the only type of formation featured in the game) and another group of fvie will be right there but wont come to aid them. There wasnt enough siege either and there were a few really stupid things like grenades which are innacurate according to history itself!

KOEI couldn't have done a better job although there's always room for improvement. I am a LUBU fan and not much else. LUBU is an absolute powerhouse. He simply kicks butt no matter what the difficulty. I love KOEI for that. I only hate you can't really take full advantage of the orbs because his moves are just too powerful. So far the orb that "looks" like it's doing the most damage to me is the lightning orb, very nice light show. I also play with CAO CAO. He was my first maxed character. The vorpal orb doesn't work as good as his DW3 death element though. The duel feature is really nice. You can really get your azz whipped quick in that cage and piss the other player off especially if you are deep into that particular scene. I could go on and on but i'll stop here. KOEI!! Get your contract straight with SONY so you can make games like this for the XBOX come out at the same time instead of a year later.

I have to say Dynasty Warriors 4 is very impressive compared to the others. I especially enjoyed the new combos and weapon upgrades, yet after playing it for a while seen things in four that displeased me compared to Dynasty Warriors 3. In the third game the I found the levels to be alot more complex and realistic. The ones in four may have better scenerios, but most of them appear gloomy and dull. The history that takes place in the 4th version is twisted around alot more too. For instance, three Sun Jian wasn't around for He Fei because he was dead and the replaced him with Sun Quan. One of the biggest upsets was the fact that they got rid of the Japanese dubbing, i mean for example, does anyone know what Zhao Yun says during his desperate musou attack? Is it like "Back Pack!" or something? Any ways, all in all Dynasty Warriors 4 was worth the buy and I it's gonna be even better when Xtreme Legends 4 comes out.

I played the game, and it rules! First of all, it has the original 39 playable characters. But 3 new characters have been added to the bundle, Cao Ren(Wei), Zhou Tai(Wu) and Yue Ying(Shu). Second, instead of 7-8 levels in Musuo Mode, there are 6 acts, each one with 2-4 levels! Third, new costumes, plus, players can unlock 5 new costumes just by increasing their character's rank, as well as increasing item slots. Fourth, players don't have to find better weapons now. When you beat enemy officers/generals, you gain weapon experience and bodyguard experience. Fifth, there is an Edit Mode, which allows players to create bodyguard units and officers! Cool, eh? And finally(My personal favorite upgrade), new levels have been added, along with challenges, revamped Dynasty Warriors 3(And Xtreme Legends)stages, and multiple Versus Mode choices! My opinion is this is the best Dynasty Warriors game ever!

Dynasty Warriors 4 is altogether a great game, the graphics are crisp, the character voices...well, its a japanese game what more could you expect, the new moves and charge moves add a lot of diversity to the game and makes you want to replay it with all of the characters, I read a review where somebody said that a lot of the stuff was exactly the same, but this is the same stuff that made Dynasty Warriors great in the first place, the new duel system is cool because you get a chance to take out officers without their darn bodyguards getting in the way, someone also said that Lu Bu was too hard also, ahem....this is a game, about WARRIOR LEGENDS of course they should be hard to beat, the weapon experience thing is cool you dont have to comb the game for the weapons like in 3, think thats all I got to say, if you have any questions about the game my aim s/n is OliverTheMonkey **peace

i have dynasty warriors 3.i think it is a good game.i was wondering when dynasty warriors 4 was cming out.the game is fun and i think the graphics are okfor dw3.i think koei makes the best games ever.why do they make the names and stuff japanes.i dont like the fact that you can pick your body gaurds.it is not fair if you pick lu bue.i think it would be to easy to win the level.and he would kill all the people so it would not be fun.one problemhow good do you have to be to pick your body gaurd.they should make you have a disision of if you want jap or english.if they come out with more i want to buy them.didn`t they make vqandilan hearts.that is rated M.koei is my favorite gaming company and i would not let them down.i do think koei is better than all of the other companys.i hope dw4 is worth the money i am paying for it.that is all i have to sy about dynasty warriors4.peace out.stour

This game is brilliant! If you enjoy watching the bodies of your foes flying around as you drain you power gauges and swing your weapon around you will love this. This is the ultimate proof that a bunch of dead guys and a big war can be fun with rock music and magic using weirdos that cause rain. Great sounds and great graphics, and the gameplay is simple enough and it will rock you and your friends for a long time. I liked the part of chosing between limited items and riding animals. Especially the ELEPHANTS!! WOOT!
Guan Yu was my favorite and I have defeated all but the last of the campains. The one with that hairy jungle dude was frusterating, but in a way that made me want to try again to win! It took over an hour and I K.O'ed over 1000 and the important thing is, IT WAS FUN!
Hope you buy this game, cause if you don't, you would be missing alot of fun.

This game rules. I've played DW3, but now that I'm playing DW4, it just doesn't stack up. The system is sweet, it's challenging, but the only annoying thing is those Damned Archers. Am I alone in thinking that the Archers are nothing more than annoying? Plus, in response to the review Arthritic with age, if you were really any good at the game, you would realize that when you unlock all of a person's costumes, the fifth outfit is their DW3 outfit. Personally, I like most of the new outfits, but some, like Zhou Yu, made a major mistake. I personally like Zhou Tai's third and fourth outfits. The only confirmed Japanese in the game, is actually wearing a Samurai/Ninja Styled Helmet/Facemask. It looks really cool. Personally, my favorite characters are Dian Wei and Huang Gai. I think I have too much fun throwing those bombs, though...

Dynasty Warriors 4 is a massive improvement, especially with the great new Musou modes! The only thing that bugs me is that some of the levels are too difficult as your allies aren't much help, except for the generals! Great storyline though! The best 40 quid I've ever spent! I HIGHLY recommend it! The graphics are really good, the sounds are good but not quite as good as in 3, not that this really matters! The gameplay is great and the game is great fun to play, it'll keep you going for yonks! The game isn't as original as it could be but, I don't care about that! The price I thought was very reasonable, cheaper than I thought. The shop I went to buy it in was almost sold out on the first day, I got the last copy! It's been rated 2nd best UK game by the shop 'GAME' and it seems obvious why! Try it for yourself and see!

From the first two games to this game is a very BIG change. If you ask me i think the first two were not that good and 3 was ok but then the 4th came and I will never let anyone barrow it because it's so good. Ever since I bought this game i've played it almost 5 hours a day and never got sick of it once since I got it a week ago and it's been a blast. From creating your own General to creating your own bodyguards. Even though there is no cheats yet it's ok. From stuning graphics, to just the game play it's great. But one of the problems with the game is sometimes it can be frustrating and at timess you just wanna throw your controller on the ground but that only happened to me once when my friend turned it on hard without telling me. Other than that one bad fact it's a great game and I suggest you go out and get it.

Could use more weapons and be a whole lot harder. Duels are very cheezy. Could use more moves. That's all I can really say negative. The 2 player storymode option is great. Simple yet fun action.
As for a few of you that are bored with the same story and the characters...none of these games were ment for you to play in the first place. As for making up a new story it would be like making up a new bible. This story and these characters are legendary. It would be heresy.

I'll admit it,I didn't actually get into DW 'till part 3,and only then because it was on a demo I had purchased.But once I played it I was hooked!Now it's a must buy franchise for me.Wich brings me to part 4.While the improved moves for the charecters is awsome,it seems to me that Koei skimped a little on everything else.There seems to be fog on just about every board...and I HATE FOG!I also feel the create an Officer mode is so shallow its not even worth doing,and you can't even kill huge amounts of mo-fo's!Sure 500 seems like alot,but I need a little more to satisfy my bloodlust.Having said that,I still feel it's a rather fun game,and will continue to purchase any more DW's that come out,I just hope Koei pays attention to the feed back and tweeks it up a couplea notches for the next installment!

i've played the dw saga since the first one and think it has improved alot. some of the things that caught my interest is the dueling, starting off with horses, and the weapon build up system. couple of things i think that need improvement are one, they need to make better created warrior setups. you can only pick from so many outfits and once you build up a weapon then all the weapons in that catagory are the same. two, there was no secret characters. the took out fu xi and nu wa for created warriors. and last, they need to make it to where there is more missions instead of the same thing all the time. don't get me wrong. i love this game, my whole family says i'm addicted. i even got my brother started on the dw saga. with the next one i think they will make the ultimate game .

I think this is the best dynasty warriors game ever the graphics have improved tremendously since dw3 the new characters are great their better than i had imagined. The reason KOEI keep doing the same storyline is because the game is based on a book written centuries ago by Luo Guan-Zhong so they cant change the 3 kingdoms history the 3 kingdoms really existed. The soundtracks have got better but, the voices are still pretty crummy though. The new weapon exp system is good but I miss picking up weapons from defeated officers though. Its still really great. The game is pretty expensive but its well worth it though. Im still playing on it after a couple of months and all my friends enjoy it. The game has improved heaps and bounds I cant wait for a dynasty warriors 5!!!!!

Dynasty Warriors 4 is the best game I have ever played. The game is really realistic and not that bloody.You basicly kill everyone in sight and get Items and power ups when you kill a high class general. You have some generals on your side and you also have bodyguards. The body guards get better as the game progresses and you get more of them. You can make your own character or just use the one's they give you.There are 16 maps and 40 different levels.Over all this game is a great game. The backround music is tight and it doesn't get anoying like other games. The only draw back in this game is you always get hit from behind when your triing to fight a general and you cant use you made up character in special challenges. This game diserves a 9 out of 10.

This game is the best DW game iv ever played!!!! i luv Sun Shang Xiang, Sun Ce, Zhuge Liang, and Zhen Ji of Wei even though i absolutly hate wei especialy Cao Cao. But otherwise the game is awesome. without the wu kingdom and officers the game would suck... but i guess i would get used to other officers. anyway i luv leveling up weapons i think it is better than just finding them in boxes and generals/officers dropping them this game has come a long way from DW3!!! i would like to know how they come up with the names of people who werent in ROTK and werent from history???????????????the graphics are awesome and the plot is awesome and i luv the end movies that u unlock and i like making openning edits and making characters!!! that is the best part!!!:p

I've played DW2 and DW3 at a friends house before, and I kept going over to his house everyday to play them. Once DW4 came out and I saw the commercial, I went straight to Blockbuster and rented it. IT IS THE BEST GAME EVER!!! The graphics are awesome, the music rocks, the edit char. mode could be better, but it's OK, and the new char's rock. Zhou Tai is so the best, he has the best moves, and his final outfit is the best outfit ever. Period. The game is definitely worth the 50 bucks, it rocks, you should definitly get it. A nice part is that you start with Wei, Wu, and Shu mode, but beat one and you get Nanman and Lubu Mosou mode. The game has nice, very detailed realistic movies. I just think that everyone should get the game, that's all.

as i tried DYANSTY WARRIORS 3 and XTREME LEGENS man that was so sweet now i have tried DYANSTY WARRIORS 4 its cool but its kind of hard to get all the charcters but thats fine.the game is cool u can get all the wepons faster and all the other stuff.the graphs are ok the so cool and also i like the music.my best and favouite charcters are mainly the girls but not all of them i only like Da Qiao(MY FAVOURITE)Xiao Qiao,Sun Shaing Xiang,Zein Ji
and Diao Chan.for the boys Jiang Wei(MY FAVOURITE)Ma Chao,Gan Ning and Lu Xun.Oh yeah i forgot to say to the
