This game has good graphics, better missions and it is harder than dw3 which makes it more fun. Zhao Yun, Zhou Tai, Lu Bu, and Guan Yu are the best!! They are $#< remove me > at !in sweet. They also kick ass!! Jiang Wei and Zhou Yu also kick ass too. My favorite mission is Cheng Du cuase this mission is, so challenging it is , so fun! Get the game cause if ya don't u missin a hell of a time.

Ok. First of all the graphics are AMAZING!! its the funnest one of the series yet. its kinda hard till you get your 4th weapon beascause 1-3 really suck. i need help finding some life ups, i have only found 1. and if you want a good character go to either Lu Xun, Lei Bei, or Zhao Yun. the battle of fan castle gives you a hell of a lot of expeirience. Its diffrent from the other ones though. the funnest yellow turban map is the yellow turban fortress. this game is da bomb! i love chinese war games and this is by far my favorite. Dynasty Warriors 3 is really good to though.... ya ok um this game is deffinantly recommeded for true gamers.

I was pleased when I heard that a fourth chapter to the Dynasty Warriors series was coming out but now that I've finally gotten my hands on it, I was left very disappointed. I understand that there are books about the story of the 3 KINGDOMS of CHINA, but come on! With part 2,3, and now 4 being very similar in gameplay, characters, and story line, I think the series need a new story written with new characters and only a few of the veterans returning. So what if there are books and this game is based upon those books. Running through the same story over and over again with each new version claiming to be the next chapter is boring and very stupid. Video game companies always tend to make their own story up after a series starts to get old, so why won't KOEI do that for Dynasty Warriors 5 if that ever comes out! It would have probably been better to just call part 3 and 4 "Dynasty Warriors 2: The Remix" or something like that because these two other parts are really just how part 2 should have been.
Besides the story and lack of new characters and moves, Lu Bu is still a monster of a man with long reach, great power, defense, and speed. The only thing that seems to suck about him is his musou attack which was always kind of hard to clear crowds with. I understand that he was considered the most powerful warrior ever during this time in China but come one Koei! Characters like Zhuge Liang, Sima Yi, and other people with very short reach, poor speed and power should be given a chance of some sort. For example, in the street fighter games, M. BISON and AKUMA are suppose to be powerful characters but even fighters like Zangief can stand a chance against them.
I was blown away with Dynasty Warriors 3 but, like I said before, without a new story and a whole new cast of characters along with more new moves instead of just 1 or 2, Dynasty Warriors 4 just didn't amaze me.

This game is the best game i ahve ever played and i aint lying. i bought this game for like 4 months ago and i play with it everyday. I still play this game. the graphic and the gameplay is #< remove me > at $!%< remove me > at # bad and i mean it in a good way. i like the new voices unlike the voices from dynasty warrirors 3. It cracks me up. Anyway, this game is now my most favorite game. if this game got a bad review, then those people must be on crack or something. i just hope the next one is as good as this. Gonna go play it now. l8te.

this game has improved in graphics, officers, body guards and game play.i love this game. i really like how they have the orbs and harnesses. the best characters are zhou yu, gan ning, zhang he and jiang wei. and for the ladies, zhen ji, diao chan, sun shang xiang. i like lu bu also, he could do the stick really good. da stick is when he puts you on the stick and then slashes you around then throws you to the ground. this game rocks!

This game is brilliant! If you enjoy watching the bodies of your foes flying around as you drain you power gauges and swing your weapon around you will love this. This is the ultimate proof that a bunch of dead guys and a big war can be fun with rock music and magic using weirdos that cause rain. Great sounds and great graphics, and the gameplay is simple enough and it will rock you and your friends for a long time. I liked the part of chosing between limited items and riding animals. Especially the ELEPHANTS!! WOOT!
Guan Yu was my favorite and I have defeated all but the last of the campains. The one with that hairy jungle dude was frusterating, but in a way that made me want to try again to win! It took over an hour and I K.O'ed over 1000 and the important thing is, IT WAS FUN!
Hope you buy this game, cause if you don't, you would be missing alot of fun.

With better graphics than DW3 it is sure to give fans a treat and it is also easier to unlock the characters than it used to be. I have played DW2, DW3 and Dw Tactics. Tactics and DW2 were dissapointmentsbut 3 helped the genre and was much better. The range of characters has been upgraded and the weapon system is much more easier and fluent. The new duels make it easier to defeat ur opponents. THE BEST SO FAR!!!!!!!!

First of all, for those who said this game is boring in the previous posts and wanted KOEI to have brand new chars and stories and stuff, guess u guys dont know the stories about the three kingdoms. I personally think this game is much addictive than 3. this whole new item lvls and weapon lvls stuff, totally got me addicted. I keep playing in order to get the best items and weapons.Since I am already a fan of the three kingdoms, I really do enjoy killing enemies using my favo chars. And since every char has his own special moves and stuff, I change to play different chars once a while. This game wont get boring..thats for sure. For ppl who dont want to play single-line-story game, DW4 is ur first choice. Also, the graphic in this game is fantastic. All the chars' movements look pretty real and the color contract is well done. And one sweet addition is the custumes and weapons graphics. Chars have 6 custumes to choose from one u max ur chars. and the weapons have 4 stages just like DW3. Also there are alot more and more attractive features that will drive u insane. All I can say thats KOEI is the master of the three kingdoms game-making company, from all different device of arcade.

DW4 is not that good as it seem.The same people WOW! it could of been better.On top of it they got the same story line WOW!WEE! i could of made a better DW than that.LuBu was killed in DW3 how is he back in stronger.Infact every DW3 warrior was killed.NEXT TIME! try making NEW WARRIORS and a BRAND NEW STORY LINE.ALSO more graphics and make blood or fight on moveing boats.THEY ALSO need better masou AND THEN MAYBE YOU WILL HAVE A BETTER RANKING GAME OK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The game is great, except for the fact that the new weapon system takes away from the fun of Dynasty warrior 3 where you had to search for your weapon, and I hate that the gate captains are impossible to beat especially on hard and only give you a damn food bun....otherwise the game is awesome.

dynasty warriors 4 is tha best action/rpg game ever made in tha history of games.why do i think this? because 1.tha graphics r killer.2.tha character's really bring personality 2 tha game.and 3. tha game's overall graphics,tha music fits tha situations,and if u have a playstation 2 dw4 shood be tha first game u buy!! now 2 xiahou dun,he is without doubt tha best player in tha game bcuz he starts out with a relatively high bow defense,his weapons r fun cuz tha reach,and tha most characteristic trait about him is his 1 eye.

Well what can i say ive been collecting this game from when the first one was avalable it just keept getting better the lates ordition to the exciting epic is the best so far exspcaily because of the officer edit mode that has been included and i also think that the new weapon experiance is a nice touch because it allows you to be more involved in the game in the aspect that you have to kill the enamy officers to progress you characters ability . But i think the best part of it is the fact that you can now choose how you fight the battle where there is 3 stages to every level dependingon which stage you select of the 3 stages will affect the whole outcome of the game this is why its the best game of its type.

I think this is the best dynasty warriors game ever the graphics have improved tremendously since dw3 the new characters are great their better than i had imagined. The reason KOEI keep doing the same storyline is because the game is based on a book written centuries ago by Luo Guan-Zhong so they cant change the 3 kingdoms history the 3 kingdoms really existed. The soundtracks have got better but, the voices are still pretty crummy though. The new weapon exp system is good but I miss picking up weapons from defeated officers though. Its still really great. The game is pretty expensive but its well worth it though. Im still playing on it after a couple of months and all my friends enjoy it. The game has improved heaps and bounds I cant wait for a dynasty warriors 5!!!!!

A couple of my guy friends own this game and they had told me that it was "all that!" Since the game still cost a lot even though it's been out for a while now, I took their word for it and bought the game without renting it first. Boy was I disappointed! I don't know what all the gamers who gave this game a 9 or 10 were playing but I sure wasn't playing a perfect game. Why can't I change the language like in part 3? The American voices are done so horribly. A lot of the characters have little or no emotions in their voices. What's up with only 3 new characters too? The story was pretty similar to part 3 (part 3 blew me away because it was so much better than part 2), which was a drag. Part 2,3, and now 4 have the same story line basically. I was expecting a new story and a huge new line-up of characters who existed several years later after the wars from part 3. I hate the weapon experience system too. Your troops, officers included, are still dumb as hell and can't really fight for themselves. I really DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY IS LU BU STILL SO POWERFUL. He's even more powerful in this chapter. Characters like Zhuge Liang and Zhen Ji have a hard time fighting him. Also, why did they make Cao Cao, Guan Yu, and Ga Ning weaker? These guys were able to stand up to Lu Bu in part 3 but now... especially Cao Cao is too weak and he's not fast either. With the game still being around a hefty $50 for a game that's been out for a while now, I suggest that old fans rent this game first. If you're completely new to the series, you'll probably like it.

This game is the best game ever i was especting it because i had Dynasty Worriors 2 and 3 and the 4th one now. You have more levels, charecters and weapens in this game so its the best game ever.I was tothely surprised when i first time saw this game.The best Charecters are i think Zhou Yun,Lui Bei and Ma Chao.

This game rules. I've played DW3, but now that I'm playing DW4, it just doesn't stack up. The system is sweet, it's challenging, but the only annoying thing is those Damned Archers. Am I alone in thinking that the Archers are nothing more than annoying? Plus, in response to the review Arthritic with age, if you were really any good at the game, you would realize that when you unlock all of a person's costumes, the fifth outfit is their DW3 outfit. Personally, I like most of the new outfits, but some, like Zhou Yu, made a major mistake. I personally like Zhou Tai's third and fourth outfits. The only confirmed Japanese in the game, is actually wearing a Samurai/Ninja Styled Helmet/Facemask. It looks really cool. Personally, my favorite characters are Dian Wei and Huang Gai. I think I have too much fun throwing those bombs, though...

Indeed, this great game based on the 3 kingdoms kicks ass, expecially the great warriors and generals such as the 5 tigers. Lu bu and the mighty cao cao most of all the orb enhancements kick ass too, and officers are creatable, which adds more gameplay also great sequal to a awsome game! laterz

My friend introduced me to Dynasty Warriors 3 at first and i was addicted,I didn't have any problems,I know it's hard for the makers to get the game perfect,so I had no problems with it.
Then for my b-day i got DW4,I havent stopped playing it since,Xiahou Dun was my main character,but....then I tried out Guan Yu and beat the game with Shu,and then I tried it with Ma Chao,and Ma Chao has been my favorite ever since,so I give it a 10/10 in everything,yea I know i'm being corny but it's MY oppinion...Peace Out
