This game is the greatest! With the new dueling thing, and the two Nanman stages, and all the stage separation and the three new officers (Cao Ren, Yue Ying and Zhou Tai...who is bloody well WICKED, you just can't beat it! The way you can control the sequences is great too, just because some of us are too lazy to go through with everything! I have spent hours playing it so far, and have beaten it with Lu Meng and Lu Xun (I like Wu), and I still am not even beginning to get tired of it! It has that never-ending potential that keeps on dragging you back for more- whether you want to or not! Why can't some of you see that?! How many ways can I say how great this game is? Apparently not enough, for I still feel as though I am not doing it justice!

The original idea of DW2 was great, huge battles, good storyline, excellent gameplay....but im sorry to break to all of you hardcore DW fans, but...the game has gotten stale. The gameplay is the exact same as the other two,not to mention the fact that the characters are the same, as are the weapons and items. Really the only new update is the officer edit, and im sorry to say, just does not cut it. The gameplay is good yet repititive,the graphics while better still don't compare to other games,the music confuses me one stage you have rock & roll the next you have some wierd chinese song.The only thing that can save this series is the next DW they have a better officer edit and a map edit. As i said in my one line summary, a good idea gone bad.

OK what really gets me is that too much people dont pay much attention to this game. THE DYNASTY WARRIORS GAMES ARE BASED ON ACTUALL PEOPLE!!!!! BASED ON AN ACTUAL NOVEL WRITTEN BY A PERSON WHO KNEW ABOUT THE THREE KINGDOMS!!!!! Yes i am not kiddin g there was a real zhao yun and a real lu bu. i have known this info since the first game ever came out. and i have the real novel called romance of the three kingdoms that is why koei keeps making the same storyline over and over again! because they coudln't change history! and i was also a wee bit dissapointed with the battle system. iit was almost exactly the same as the last two. so for all you losers who keep commplaining that the storyline is the same, you can just look at this review!!!

Even though the most of the things haven't changed in the games; the graphics is great. I think story has gotten deeper; it went into details of each of the three kingdoms and the other side charaters as well; even though the history tends to trail off when you are in some battles, like the battle of Chi Bi, if you are on Cao Cao's side. I personally think the new weapon system is great because it is easier for you to to get the new weapons than in the third and extreme legend; where you have to play the games over and over again to get the new weapons. I also think the tales of the three kingdoms are great because you get to learn how ech of the three kingdoms got to its peak of greatness. Guan Yu is truely the God of War. PEACE OUT!!!

Well what can i say ive been collecting this game from when the first one was avalable it just keept getting better the lates ordition to the exciting epic is the best so far exspcaily because of the officer edit mode that has been included and i also think that the new weapon experiance is a nice touch because it allows you to be more involved in the game in the aspect that you have to kill the enamy officers to progress you characters ability . But i think the best part of it is the fact that you can now choose how you fight the battle where there is 3 stages to every level dependingon which stage you select of the 3 stages will affect the whole outcome of the game this is why its the best game of its type.

DW4 has to be the BEST of all series and less boring, well duh'!! if it was more crap then it wouldnt be considered an uprade...
I really like the way KOEI programed the new stories and new cutscenes, and they entered Zhao Yun's Bravery with the Baby, and the Bo wan Po scene, becoz i've read the comic The Legend of The Dragon's Son, and it really juxtoposed with the way DW4 showed it.
Weapons Exp, Character edit(i made one that looked like me and i used my friends as my bodyguard, and i felt like i was actually in the Dynasty...hehehe...i think thats ALL DW FANS dreams!! to be in the game), new look, new moves, more realistic graphic, Guan Yu's Voice, and so much more!!!

This game is by far the best in the DW saga. Theres alot more battles in musou and more characters. The gameplay is awsome, the soldiers are harder, the officers are harder, and duel mode ROCKS. This is by far the best game I have ever played. The new weapon System is awsome and the horses are faster, especaily the red hare. I love the orbs and the new harnesses. I also love the officer edit, but it lacked selection, but that doesent matter all that much anyway. The only thing I was mildly dissapointed about was Lu Bu, he was hard, but not hard enough, though if you made him harder it would be ludicrous. Over all, I think this game is by far the best game to ever come into existance!!!!!

when I heard Dynasty warriors 4 was out I was crazy with exitement I loved the other Dynasty warriors games.But they werent as good as this but anyway if you havent tried this then you have to rent it or buy it. so if you like dynasty warriors 1, 2, and 3 then you will really like this! but when you play I have to warn you if you arent that strong and you see Lu Bu RUN!!!! but if you have beaten the game then you should do free play and do a Lu Bu level and kill him I have so its not imposible. if you are Wei, then be Xiahou Dun if your Wu, be Sun Jian if you are Shu,Liu Bei. if you get them good you will thank me so I hope you enjoy the game now I gotta go!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BYE

Hi all u people its me again i already did this thing twice but...is just really cool this game is great and for all u new game players out there just to tell u this game is highly addictive and the best part about it is that it never gets old and theres always something u havn't done before like once u get all the items u can try for the 10 weapons then onces u gottin every thing u can play levels for fun or play challenge mode (personnel favorite bridge melay)but if ur a gamer from number three then at first the enhanst graphics and crap seem like its hard but after a while it becomes so fun and easy with over 40 characters (personal favorite xu zhu)(tubby) ok peace out...........tubby rules

This is by far the best one yet, though there are still minor flaws. First, I would of enjoyed having more new characters instead of only three. Also a more detailed character edit would be really nice. I mean the bodyguard edit is more detailed. Also i think it would be really cool if you could have two people against eachother in free mode. If someones a better dueler than me then i would like to have generals and men helping me. The last thing that bothers me is the unrealism of the commanders strength. When i was fighting at fan castle, i ran away to find health,when i ran away guan yu had perfect health, but died the minute he was out of my screen. other than that its really good.

Dynasty warriors 4 is the very best in the series. I like how you can upgrade the weapons easily, instead of trying to make generals drop them. Another good improvement is the new character models. Dian Wei's looks more authentic because it isn't pure blue. I also like the "other" musou modes, like Nanman and Lu Bu. The bigger number of battles is also cool. Getting harnesses to start with red hare and stuff is very cool, since my favorite character is slow. But it also has flaws. I think the way to get "Tales" is too complicated, like kill (general) then (general) in order. I like opening edit, and it should be easier to access. All in all, it is one of the best games thought of!

im a big fan of the series and im pleased to say that it gets better!I got this game the day it came out and was hooked on it all night!The graphics of this game are spectacular,the soundis amazing and the playability is superb!There are new characters, new levels and you can create your owan character,what more can u ask for?I mean, sure there are some things that, can be changed,for example, you cant play your create-a-character in every mode...your health meter is still good and if you train hard you can be un-defeatable, so if you do not have this game, or have never tried it, I insist that you go out to the store and buy it! or if not that, at least rent it and give it a chance!

Dynasty Warriors 4 Is a major improvment on the previous versions. I mean ya gotta love that air attack. I could do that forever. Its also great that they decided to let you create your own people. Not that the people givin werent enough Zhoi tai is great! They made the Sun family awsome! Shu has a more depth history. Cao Cao and his Wei...well theyve always been awsome! YA one of the things I liked best was that it told the actural history..rather than tryin to guess and match. Somethings dont really make sense though..Like for Daio Chan is she was with Dong Zhou or what..Later on shes with LuBu but in the little glossary thing it says Dong adopted her and LuBu*shrug* Its great!

This game is so wierd it follows the exact same story line as the other 4 games. And no matter what army u are on the other army is aoutomaticaly better in all ways and your troops always suxx i mean they might as well put your guy in there all alone since your the only one that can fight half desent (and Lu Bu).Plus all they did was add a few new characters and thats all they do with every sequel to this homo game so if u ask me in order to make this game any better make the levels diffrent new storyline lots of new characters and for gods sake make better armys and be able to let you control some of your own me i mean whats the point of havein troop if you cant control them.

I have loved playing this game from when i wake up in the morning until i go to sleep(if i go to sleep) Anyone who is interested in anything at all should immediately go out and buy this game.It is totally addictive and there is so much to do you just cant stop going. The weapon system is much like that of Onimusha warlords, with the same orb ideal. The graphics are great and the cinematics blow almost every other game out of the water...OUT OF THE WATER!! The sounds in this game are great also, and the only problem is that there is no blood, which can be improved upon. And I trust there will be another game. This game is definitely the best game that i own at the moment.

i just got dynasty warriors 4 and it lacks a lil. first, the sounds are a lil corny from dynasty warriors 3. i have all the dw games, but even if the sounds suck ,this one is the best. with much more maps and weapons and also collective items. the co-op missions are the best, but unlocking the characters is a bit annonying. this isnt a game where you would play for 6 months straight. but new siege machines make this game a very strong gaem to add to the dw collection. when i got dw 3 i unlocked all characters and 20 of them were almost all the way full. but cant koei just give you all the characters and just hack and slash? well if ur a huge dw fan get this game.

Let me start by saying that the Dynasty Warriors games are the best games ever. I played the DW2 demo and loved so I baoght it. When I heard the third one was coming out I went and got it the first day. It was even better than the 2nd. The DW games have opened a new era in gaming. Before Dynasty Warriors came out I hardly ever played vid games. After I got 2 and 3 that was all I could think about. For any new gamers out there that havn't played it and are sick of those wussy kiddy games like Mario or Crash Bandicoot than this is a solid buy for you!!! I would like to close by saying, WEI RULES!!!! LONG LIVE CAO CAO!!!(and Xiahou Dun, my personal favorite)

This game is probably the best game made for ps2 and this is no doubt the BEST dynasty warriors yet.This is the type of game that makes people know that there isnt a game better. Right when i got the game i expected it to be good but not as good as Vice City or any other game but i found out when i got the game that a game thats better than bloody violence and revenge is a game that includes thought and stategy. This game has everything a game like vice city doesnt.The people who think vice city is better think that only because of the violence and the stealing and probably the sex too but i think that they should GROW UP! Dynasty Warriors 4 all the way!

I was a huge....HUGE Dynasty Warriors 3 fan. This game was pretty awsome but I am not as impressed as I thought I would be. I think DW3 is a little better. HOWEVER, Dynasty Warriors 4 provides, 20 new levels and 3 newe characters. And you can clear the game with more than one person at a time as with DW3 you had to play it over and over and over and over. This is a must have game for all ACTION fans. GREAT NEW GRAPHICS and SWEEEEEEEEEEEET movies. I love to watch the movies. Its up there with Final Fantasy graphics during them. If you do not have this game, or have never played a Dynasty Warriors game in the series. . . please go for this one

I have Dynasty Warriors2 and it is the best. so i think that Dynasty warriors4 will be even better so i cant wait for it to come out. the dynasty warriors saga is great it takes you to a hole new level of gameing. dynasty warriors has some very cool charactors. such as for the side of shu kingdom zhao yun a brave officer who gallantly speeds of into battle carrying his long spear no one can rivel his bravery especially when he rides out alone into the midst of the enemy.he is my favorit.you can get dynasty warriors2 for only 20 dollers used or for thirty dollers you can get dynasty warriors3 xtreme legends new.so you should buy it as soon as you can
