This is a great game. It involves role playing, real time strategy, and real time fighting, all in one game. It has a great story line that is told from different perspectives. From the start you can choose between 3 "families," the Wei, Wu, and the Shu. After you beat the game you unlock other ways to play the game. Great replay value!!!! The duel mode is great. Designing and watching your own made player is great. Any gamer, not withstanding those who only play sports game, will love this game. It has great cut scenes that aren't too long, which has been the downfall of many games. If you buy or rent one game, give this one a try!!!

Ok. First of all the graphics are AMAZING!! its the funnest one of the series yet. its kinda hard till you get your 4th weapon beascause 1-3 really suck. i need help finding some life ups, i have only found 1. and if you want a good character go to either Lu Xun, Lei Bei, or Zhao Yun. the battle of fan castle gives you a hell of a lot of expeirience. Its diffrent from the other ones though. the funnest yellow turban map is the yellow turban fortress. this game is da bomb! i love chinese war games and this is by far my favorite. Dynasty Warriors 3 is really good to though.... ya ok um this game is deffinantly recommeded for true gamers.

The character design is top notch, the gameplay is great as usual, the managment system is getting better, the voice acting is excellent this time around, graphics are nice, the stages are very well done. However, the edit mode leaves much to be desired, the bodyguards are mindless zombies who don't listen to your commands, and your troops are as useless as ever leaving the player to do EVERYTHING and run to EVERY inch of the field. And worst of all the strategic element is no where to be found, I mean come on I'm a hardcore RotTK fan and I need REAL strategy!!! But the game is addictive because of all its positive points. Not Bad 8/10 :)

This is a great game. It keeps me playing with all the stages you have to unlock and the items you have to find. I love the new costumes for the characters and the three new characters give the game a little variety. The edit mode could be a little better. I mean can't you at least put parts of costumes from the playable characters. A little could be done about the soldiers you command and the bodyguards you control. Make them run around a lot more and fight. I also like the game because it stays true to the original story. It's pretty cool that Koei made a war game that's based on real events and people. Overall, a very good game.

-I have played Dynasty Warriors 4 and believe me, it rocks. The graphics the movies the game play the music the levels, there is no other plastion, Gamecube or Xbox game that can beat it. This game is just one of a kind. So lets just all take a moment and thank Koei for making the best game ever made, and that will ever be made. Well, just till they come out with Dynasty Warriors 5. I'm not saying they are, but if they did, it would be really cool to play. I'm getting Ps2 when summer comes and the first game I'm going to buy is dynasty warriors 4. Along with Kingdom Heart and metal gear solid substance. Anyway, see ya later fans.

i didnt expect this game to be that great, because my cousin said it wasn't as good as DW3. The graphics definitely have improved, as have the voice acting (for the most part). The gameplay is addictive, especially for a hack & slash. They added lots of new things, such as being able to edit your body guards and even create your own general! Since there are over 40 characters, the replay value is high--if you want to beat everyone's musou mode and max out their stats. The music isn't too good, but you dont usually pay attention while playing this fun, addictive game. Overall, this game is worth the fifty dollars i payed for it.

I have been waiting three months for this game and I finally got it. And let me tell u I wasn't the least bit diapointed. It was everything I expected. I luv the new siege engines and I am especeilly fod of the duels. Although I think it is kind of cheap that the officers can regain health durring the Duel. A minor detail. I have #2 and #3 but this one is the best. The only thing I am having trouble with is getting Jiang Wei and some of the levels im missing(Tian Sui) Can any one help me on that? This game also has tremendous replay value the sound is kind of corny but the weapons and graphics rock. I give this game a 10/10

This game was definitely the best in the series, but it could be improved. The gamepaly on a whole is awesome, and I find it real fluid in how the moves go from one to another. the soundtrack, though...you can tell it's made in Japan, I'll just say that. I like
the fact that you open 2 new places when you beat your first game, but I wish you could fight each other in a free mode, instead of the same team. Also, the computer needs to be more aggressive, both your side and the opponents. The enemies even on hard just usually float around you, which sorta sucks. All in all though, it's a great game, well worth the money.

Dynasty warriors 4 is the best game ever for PS2.Hands down.What can I say its totally awesome action it envoles staragey.All of my friends love it i love it my brother loves it too!!!!!!!!! All of my friends that have challenged me lost to me!!!!!! I only like one character and he's Gan Ning!!! My 2 favirote is Lu Bu or Sun Ce.I beat the game 28 times with Gan Ning,Sun Ce or Lu Bu.Ive got everyones last weapon all got 8 bodyguards all of the orbs ,hores and items. beat Lu Bu in 5 seconds not kidding.People who like action adventure should buy it. I said it once and i'll say it again this game is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This game is one of the best games out for the ps2.This is the best of the Dynasty Warriors out there!Lu Bu was my all time favorites and in all the other Dynasty Warriors he never had his own time to shine and be a hero....er something like that.The new orb system also was a awsome addition to the new game and the model change was nice too.The weapons where alot esasier to upgrade instead of the old routine you kill the officer you get the weapon.Also the new edit mode was cool but they only get one model but its still cool.Pick up your feet,get your keys, and drive to the mall or where ever and get this game!

It is good i would appreciate a cape like some people but other than that createing people in a war type game like this is pretty awesome.I mean 2 and 3 was fun but 4 blew all games out of the water!War type games with guns stand no chance agaisnt this one in a lifetime game.You are a idiot not to play this.I read other peoples review and i think some where exactly right but others was so off they could throw a rock and end up hittin your head.My favorite people are FU Xi and SUN CE they rock.My favorite over all team is Wu the red team.lets talk more contact me sometime and well talk about this smashing game.

As i said before the best ever. The graphics are badass, the levels are huge (some are not), character's moves are crazy, Musou mode better than before, chalanges are not that hard as in DW3, musou of characters are psycho..............it keeps going on there is not more to say that 42 playable charaters, 50 stages, difference of endings of the level based on how you play, active engines that are destroyable, and much much more that you can experience only through the controler of your PS2 so if you do not have this game it is a must buy and play it till you beat it and that will take anyone awhile to do.

Dynasty Warriors has opened up a new world for me. DW4 is the best so far out of all the series. With all new maps, jades, weapons, and seige equipment. This game Rocks!! The graphics have been made even more sharper. Even though the fighting style has remained almost the same, there has been some major tweaks. First of all the brand new charge attacks(makes every character more unique)and the duel system (may fight oficers 1v1) make this game better than the rest.Lastly one of my favorite features is the officer edit mode(create and use new officers) All these features makes this game the best!

this game is really really really brilliant... i played it and couldn't stop...it is so cool and fun, if it isn't enough slice and dicing action for you i don't know what would be because it is a awsome game and and everyone should buy it just to say they have it and i garentee you will like it...and i garendamntee that... and it is just purely fun playing it leveling up your warrior going through mosou mode and it is even more fun unlocking the characters levels and getting your weapon up graded it cool! go and buy the game now! but i have to say i would give it more than 10 stars if i could.

AHHHHH!!!~~ Finally DW4 coming out in jus a month.It says it will be out on March,27th,2003!!!~~.i heard it has some more characters like one for each kingdoms. For Wei is Cao Ren,Wu is Zhao Tai,and.... ah $#< remove me > at !,i forgot who was for shu! well jus buy the game see who it is.im defenetly buying it bcuz i have DW1,Dw2,and Dw3.The first one was terrible,2nd was ok,and Dw3 is awsome.I hope to see more improvements on Dw4.If you r one of those dynasty Fans,you should be dying to buy Dw4 like I am.If you r new and bought the game in jus looking interresting, you r one of those luckiest guy like me.

Ok, i think that Blake from Minnesota, or where ever is retarded. He thinks that you should be able to control the entire army, ya maybe by an option, but the game is better the way it is. I garantee that if they made it so that u control the whole army then the graphics would be down graded. The only thing that i dont like about this game is that they only have 10 levels of weapons, but it's still a great game. I already have a weapon at level 10 and my attack just about maxed out and i think that its still kinda weak, but besides that i think its like the best game i've ever played.

This game is the $#!% its got ok graphics but the game play its self is the most fun especialy since all the stuff they talk about in the story is true. exept for the weapons and charge attacks and musuo. The weapons we mainly strait swords bows and arrows and spears i think that pikes were there.Now u might bewondering why only one person in the gme has a Katana there are two good resons 1 the Katana originated in Japan and this story line takes place mostly in china.2 around that time were the story line took place the Katana was mostly used for show........this game rock's good bye

first i would like 2 say a good game its worth buying. but theres not much difference beetween dw3 and dw4 yea u can make ur own guy which is good but not much choice ov cloths and i also think the game should bring in blood n guts 2 put u in the battle mood if u know wot i mean and also ive been playing this game 4 like a month and still i hav no harnesses wots that about? but overall a gr8 game and a good 2 player game like i said worth buying the moves r slick videos r worthy and gr8 characters (lubu.zhouTai and my fav gang ning) so enjoy the killer frenzy in dynasty warriors 4

I love the story, "Romance of the 3 Kingdoms" and I love this game. I do think that the graphics and sound need improvement, but it's trivial when you consider the current graphics and sound standard. What I REALLY love about the game is that there is NO MORE DISAPPEARING ENEMY GENERALS!!! WOOHOO!! I really HATED that bug.
This game definitely requires more strategy. I can't say how many times I've tried a new strategy only to find that reinforcements from REFRESHED gates have slain my commanding general(WUSS), thus ending my game.
Despite what you guys say, Huang Gai RULES!

Dynasty Warriors in one word is Great!!!!!!!!The graphics could be a pinch better, and yes, the idea of the game is the same.The sound of the game is alot better than DW3, and the gameplay is as always the best.The lifespan is the same as the others, 1 bar for your life, and 1 bar for your mosou, or your power up attack.The fun factor is very good ,no alot better than good, excellent!The orignality is the bestever.The value is worth it,and is sold for $$39.There are mucho grande extras!!!!!!!!!!!!However it will never replace Twisted Metal2, the greatest game in the world.
