nice game, done well20481

Misha from Huddersfield, England says (3/Apr/2003):
Graphics - The graphics in this game are stunning. The games levels move from beautiful richly coloured islands to naval battles in which the sea is done perfectly. No one should be disappointed in this aspect. Even if all you want to do is blow things up! (And lets face it, who, doesn't?) The explosions are done to perfection. They are not to big as to block your vision but big enough to feel sorry for the hapless tank you've just obliterated.
Sound - Nothing special here, but it does the job! I’ve never been one for grand sound tracks and when playing this game I hardly even realise it has a sound track.
Game play - This is where the game excels! You can knock it about all u want but the game play will always come back and slap you in the face!!! It has solid game play and is smooth enough and fast enough to keep u hooked!! Once in a mission the action rarely stops. It is also involve enough tactics to keep you on your toes and you will often find yourself scanning the terrain to find the best angle to attack from. The jet handles with the smoothness of the best flight Sims and the walker mode at first seems slow and blocky but soon you'll be jinking all over the place, dealing death to a platoon of tanks.
Lifespan - I’ve only had this game awhile but I can see this game staying on the top of my very big pile for a while!!! When it finally does start drifting down I can just see myself in the future digging round trying to find 'the game with the big guns' so I can blow stuff up!!!
Fun factor - What do you think?? YOU GET TO BLOW STUFF UP!!!!!!!
Originality - I've never heard of a game like it. Unlike most 'big robot' games you’re not 'invincible' and will have to employ a few tactics in order to stay alive. Your robot also has the ability to morph from a jet engine to an 'over-powered' walker.
Storyline - This is where the game is let down, those who are looking for a detailed story well told are looking in the wrong place. It is basically there to serve one purpose. To give us an excuse to blow things up!!! The voice acting is poor, and the story line is predictable!
Overall - This is a solid game that has opened the way for an even better sequel. You get the idea that Atari didn't want to hype it up just in case it flopped. But I'm sure you can expect big things from the follow up!!! P.s this is my first review, how did I do??? Misha
