A poor game |

How can I say this un-offensively... it SUCKED!! Sorry to say it but, yes, it was not to my liking. The graphics were poor enough to be PS1 material. The guns were OK but, for god's sake, it was amazingly easy to shoot a person, it rips off the Matrix's slow motion and, worst of all, it had one-liners fit for a 1995 Action Man figure!! I beat the game in less than a week. So I do NOT reccommend anyone buy this cheap and common game. It doesn't exactly scream originality!

I think Jojo_Junior wrote an apt review. I would only like to add that production for this title went into overdrive with the promise of Max Payne being released. This is not, however, a "Max Payne ripoff" as was earlier written.
Honestly, if you are considering a new game purchase, go rent this one. In fact, I rented Max Payne, Dead to Rights, Vice City and Hitman 2 all in one night. Suffice to say, Dead to Rights was my least favorite of these...

This game is awesome u get snap their neck and u get to do awesome stuff!it is pretty good but only if u get a knife to slice people's throat and u get to shoot their head off and stuff! i think enter the matrix and grand theft auto series is more better but this game is still good.

Worth a Rent |

Pro- This game has one of the best script ever. They say that this is the John Woo(Incase you don't know who he is, one of his most famous work is MI:2) movie that you can play. I couldn't agree more. The problem is this game does have some graphic problem. Sometimes in the movies, guy's mouth doesnt move, and well, it's... wierd. But most of the graphics are fine. To be honest, I don't like to play these kind of games because there really aren't much to do after you've beaten the game. But this time I will make an exception since it's so much fun.
Con- Just like what I said, after you have beaten the game, there really aren't much to do. I say trade with your friends, or rent it, because after about 10 days, you just get... bored. Also, I don't know if it's just me, but this game just seems so short. i beat it in 4 days. I really think that it should be harder.
Final Thoughts- It's worth a rent, but nothing more. yea, that's all I have to say... Yeah... Okay...

This game kind of disappointed me but not to much. I thought it was going to be better than Max Payne but i was wrong. (Even thouhgh it was a rip off of it.) But it wasn't all that bad, the shotting and fighting was pretty cool. I ecspecially liked when you got new combos every once and a while and new moves. What i didn't like though was the HUGE cursor over the person you have locked, that was about the only other thing. I don't really have much to say about this game because i didn't play it much but when i do i'll give a bigger review. Cya till then

the grapics could do better.the game is cool when u do yor moves it goes in slowmotion.you got different kinds of guns the ak 47 is really good for killing alot of bad guys.then u got shadow your dog he is good but he can only kill one person but he will bring ur gun back to u.

This an okay game. It's not great, but it's not awful, either. you play as Jack Slate, a good cop gone bad, who is looking for his father's murderer. One thing you will realize about DTR is that it is a Max Payne ripoff. You can't even try to play the game with out noticing that the gameplay and the storyline is similar in alot of ways. This game is the basic "run-and-shoot-action" but there are tons of minigames. At first this may seem fun, but at times, the mini games will probably annoy you. The graphics in this game, however, are not all that great. Sometimes the game will look respectivley good, and at other times, the graphics just turn ugly. And sometimes the animation is jerky. Although, this game has lots of fun to it. You go around blasting away at enemies, using "bullet time" just like in Max Payne. Although it's just a cheap gimmic, its fun all the same. Pros:Great Shooting action, bullet time cool cinematic movies. Cons: Max Payne ripoff. Graphics aren't the best to grace the PS2. Weapons can only hold one clip, whenever you run out of bullets, you have to search for another gun

This is a good fun action game to play. Jack Slate the main character has a lot cool moves he can perform in the game like disarming enemys, using enemys as a shield or leaning up against a wall then quickly pop out and shoot then pop back for cover. Plus he can slow down the pace and use a Max Payne type of bullet time to take out multiple enemys or if you want you can make Jack's dog Shadow attack a enemy thats close by. The one bad thing about the game is its graphics it could of looked a litte bit better some areas in the game look bland. But most of the character models look pretty good and the cut scenes are very nice to look at. The controls are pretty good but at times the camera could be tough to handle. The aiming is very easy and doing all of Jacks moves is a breeze. The sound is done very good all the music fits the action perfectly and the voice acting is also solid. The game also has a pretty good storyline that comes together well. Theres also some interesting mini games within the game and when you not using your arsenal of weapons you get to fight it out like a beat em' up game.

Very good game but Devil May Cry 2 the best game every made so if you like Dead to Right you would like Devil May Cry 2. I thing that DMC 2(Devil May Cry 2)is a better action game than Dead to Right.

This is THE game for any one that enjoys the first person narative games. You start off the game as Slate, a K-9 cop. Then someone kills your father and its time to get your hands dirty finding out who! As soon as the game starts you are given a walk through of all the nessisary buttons and commands. Its a very helpfull tutorial for those that are not used to the multi-buttoned commands. Once you learn basic commands such as grabing an unarmed person to diveing in normal time versus diveing in slow motion so you can target mulitple targets, then you get to learn how to control your trusty K-9 companion. The story line is one that keeps you guessing through out the entire thing. The graphics on this game are so slose to life that it may just be the best yet in my opinion. There is no boxed style hands, in the close up scenes,and you can really seethe detail that went into this game when you have to start walking throught the mist in the graveyards. As for realistic gun play, theres never going to be a 1 shot 1 kill game out there because youd never get anywhere but you can last a long time if you know what your doing. The controls are complex at times but thats what makes it that much more fun, its not to easy.
