ASB 2004 is by far the best baseball game out there right now! Yes, hitting is difficult but that is what makes the game so good. As a baseball player and coach I look for the same realism in the video game to be somewhat comparable to the realism on the diamond. Areas of improvement; I don't know about anybody else, I remember when it rained during a game PUDDLES sometimes formed. Hummm? If you're going to have a Hall of Fame than your franchise mode has to last longer than 30 seasons. Take a note from John Madden owners mode, you should be dealing with cash not POINTS!! I don't where you guys got that one from. A little more attention to detail and the sky is the limit for this game. Lastely when is the first college baseball game coming out??

This is a great baseball game, let alone all the remarks all the other people have made. I agree that it has some faults but it is a realistic game. In baseball, you don't magically hit the ball it take time and patience. If you want to buy a game just to let you win, I won't stop you but there isn't much of a challenge when you just use gameshark or something to win it for you. You have to earn your win. Anyway, this is a great game and I recommend it a lot. Very realistic.

I think the batting sucks. They give you less than 2 seconds to hit the ball but everything else is good. You can even buy baseball cards. Finsh real baseball games from 2002. You can make your team. You can also play as the Negro Leage all stars. You can chose the team jersey.

I really dont think this game is very good...like some other people do...i have played it for 6 days now and i recommend everyone who is thinking about getting the game..DONT,here is some reasons why:the graphics are horrible,the hitting in the homerun derby is the easiest thing i have ever done and you cant even see what the players are ranked which i really need to know because i have my own sim league...the fielding sucks very bad because it is so hard to get to the ball and the sound isnt very good because it isnt even realistic...i am so glad that i only rented the game instead of buying it because it is definately NOT worth $50.00...... i dont think this game even deserves space on store shelves...i only rented it because they didnt have high heat 2004 and im glad i didnt go to the mall and have them not have it and actually buying this poor excuse for a video game. if you want a good game...you would be better off making your own game because this game if definately NOT worth it.

This game is good for the real in depth baseball fans who like a lot about history. The franchise mode and expansion modes are very cool, but i dont like how you cant change the innings in a game you can play. Im not crazy about the game play its not that great. Hitting is to easy and fielding stinks. If you want better graphics and gameplay go with MVP or MLB 2004. But this game offers much more than others. Overall i would give it a "B" for a rating, not to impressive but alright.

The graphics arent that good they should be better. In franchise mode and any other season mode you should be able to control more than one team but not every team. I like the fact that their is a fantasy draft because not every baseball game has one now. Also the game should be formatted more like High Heat because that i believe is the greatest baseball game their is now.

The game is good but if you have bad reflexes like me you shoud def play on easy battin...pitchin is mad fun....the best player in the game 4 me is vladimir guerero....i had him piazza and bonds on a team and after 45 games he had a .521 ba and the other two only had like a 300....neway its a great game

All you people who are complaining about the hitting are a bunch of babies its not that hard yea you have to get used to it at first but then its fine the only think i am disappointed about is that during the simulation in the season is that the batting averages are so low...like Ichro is an A+ contact but he never its over like .270. but besides that it is def the best baseball game out there

Okay Look, I've been playing the game for about four months. I do a franchise mode with my two Friends, and we each control 4 hitters. This Game is way too easy that we made all of our power ratings... D-, D, and D+, and our Hitting rating like all Cs. Even with these ratings, Through 40 games, My players have 30, 26, and 20 homeruns, all batting between .300 and .400. My Friends arn't doing that much worse. Plus our team stolen bases is 90. the next best person in 14, when all our speed is D-s. The game is easy but fun. Everything else I.E. Pitching is great. If anyone would like to play a freindly baseball game,

This games batting is the hardest thing about it. It took me forever to get used to it and i still haven't mastered it. The curveball never curves it just drops more than any other pitch besides the ephus. The graphics aren't bad but there not that great. I like the check swing. Thats nice to have. The Franchise is pretty cool except i'd rather deal with real money than points to give it a more realistic setting. And talking about realistic i don't like the fact that the outfielders can dive right through each other when making a catch. The way the pickoff looks it's terrible. When the guys on second he starts going back even before the pitcher does anything. The crowd needs to get into the game more. The commentators need more phrases. The secanario mode is fun but really hard at certain points. I hate the fact that the opponents defense can practically catch anything and make no errors. When your own guys are just plain slow and their arms suck. The bunting and stealing are also really good on this game. The Legends teams are awesome. It's good to have the Negro League stars on the game. Well overall the game pretty much sucks unless you have lots of time on you hands to learn how to play it well. SO if your a beginner do not buy.

I love this game its the best baseball game ive played but there are some annoyances and mistakes on it. I dont like the fact that the crowd aint that loud I go to 20 baseball games a year and the crowd on the game is nuthing, they are too quiet. other than the occaisonal chanting, it is way to plain. Also where is Jose Contreras and Hideki Matsui?!? All they did was talk about him in like every baseball magazine available and yet, he is not on the game. another problem is that guys who signed with teams after the game was realeased are free agents on the game and I cannot get them to sign with there respective teams ( i.e Reggie sanders and kenny lofton, Pirates) it says Position integrity constraints this trade is not acceptible yet if I go to franchise mode I can make the signing if I start my franchise with the pirates. but guys like kenny rogers are still free agents and not with the twins. I no it seems like I said a lot of negative stuff about the game but every other thing about the game, the graphics are great, I like the announcers, the replay and basically everything other than what i said above.

All star baseball is one of the greatest games I have ever played for XBOX. Pitching is better, hitting is better, and finally ASB 2004 has downloadable rosters with XBOX live. Now I got Matsui. Well not much else to say about such a good game. Oh yea, and all the modes are great. Scenario is the best, but really really hard.

This game is terrible, dont buy it!The graphics are twice as bad as mvp and the gameplay is so hard!I cant get a single hit because of that stupid batting cursor.it takes forever to throw the ball and the computer runner is usually safe on base.You cant speed up your fielder or baserunner and when you hit dive the fielder doesnt dive until ten seconds later, so you usually miss the ball.the only good thing about this game is the expansion mode.its kinda fun to create your own team and mascot.its also kinda cool to hear different music whenever a batter steps up to home plate.the only game i would choose this over is slugfest,the rest of the games i would get before this.at least in other games you can actually hit the freakin ball!!!!i mean in my franchise mode my record after 83 games is 4-79 its too hard acclaim!!do something about it next year.I mean all my friends say the same stupid thing,MVP rocks,ASB sucks!I have a heck of allot of friends too!So other than the Expansion mode and sound,this game SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ah the continuing All Star Baseball franchise,always something baseball fans look forward to.The graphics are photo realistic.Alot of the player glitches were corected.(Such as a player would stand in one spot the ball would come down several feet away,and he would still catch it).It has some cool new features such as senario mode,and a pick-up game mode.There are more classic teams and players to pick from.And a whole slew of stadiums.But when it comes down to it the game gets boring fast.After a while you feel like it's just repeating itself over and over.The worst part of the game is hitting.Due to a glitch where your batter swings late it becomes extremly hard to hit.Fielding poses another problem.The computer is almost always safe.baserunning is hard also.I'd advise renting this game before you buy it because for many people this game will be extremly difficult and annoying.This year for all baseball fans i'd encourage going with MVP Baseball.It's alot more fun,nice graphics,a great new batting system,and it's alot easier.So in the long run this is a good game,but in the long run FAILURE............I hope to see a better game by next year.
