this game is awsome it's a combiation of the legend of zelda,kingdom hearts,and roller coaster tycoon (the geornama feaure) I love the story line when shingala the shigura left Pau to be with the other shigura it was so sad I cried. I love the dungeons.the game is an awsome combination of RPG and action game types.I like synthesizeing weapons.Creating weapons is cool. I also like customizeing the ridepod this is defianitly an awsome game with awsome in game movies

I have been playing Dark Cloud 2 for over 145 hours now and I have to say that I am still not bored with it. I have become obsessed with doing everything the game has to offer and building up everything is a lot of fun. Dark Cloud 2 is by far my favorite game of all time and I will keep playing until I can't take it anymore, even if it takes 145 more hours.

I love the challanges and the fact you can change their outfits and inventing items . the ride pod is really cool.the whole thing about getting people on your train and getting them in your party. Its a lot easier than the first Dark Cloud because you don't have to worry about your thirst. I miss getting to rebuild villages, but Dark Cloud 2 offers an invention list that you can make, like weapons, or a new energy pack for Steve.I mean all the other rpg games like zealda and Deus Ex(Witch is vary ,vary changling and good graphics) Dark cloud rules them all. Dark Cloud 2 is one of the best RPG games of the year. The characters in the game are better. It is not as kiddy as the first. Dark Cloud number 2 has more stuff you can do. I can't wait to buy Dark Cloud 3 when they relase it!!!

the best part of dark cloud 2 is that it's better than the origanal,you get to choose what you want to do when you want to,you'll fall in love with the charecters,you get to ride in a large (customizible) robot thingy, you can create an item with the make feature, the items are cool, the story line has twists and turns , the enemys are very mindblowingly awsome,you can play again and again with a diffrent party of charecters, the extras are pretty cool, and you restore forests and stuff! you'll love this creative, ultra-fun, super-cinnamatic,gem of a rpg! dark cloud 2 is defainitly a fantastic game.

This game is basicly continuing like a hundred something years from the first dark cloud. They still have the moons jurak ect. but this games georama system is alought better than DC one and alought more challenging and it's cool picking your own close and making them. If you thaught zelda-man was cool this game will blow you away. Plus your robot is awsome ^_^ <( (o)-(o) )>

The graphics aren't as 3D as final fantasy 10, but thats a good thing, the characters are really detailed. The soud is sweet, I could listen to the music all day and the battle sounds are cool. The gameplay is simple and easy to use. Lifespan is good if you use the weapons and protect yourself the right way. The fun Factor is all the way up, some people say it's boring doing the same thing over again, but i love it. DC 1 and 2 are totally origanal, especially DC 2 because of the inventing. This game is worth evry penny.

But with all the reviews i read DC isnt all that great compared to DC2.The stroy is weak but the game play is the best ive seen. custamize your weapons is super cool.Im only on chp 2 but its the best game if everyed played. The Sounds is really good. If you hav'nt played the game get it its da bomb.

It's an awsome game!!!! Its a lot easier than the first Dark Cloud because you don't have to worry about your thirst. I miss getting to rebuild villages, but Dark Cloud 2 offers an invention list that you can make, like weapons, or a new energy pack for Steve. It is also a lot more entertaining than the Dark Cloud because it has spoken dialogue and more cut scenes. It is now one of my favorite games!

is awsome! The graphics rule, you can see everything perfect. The gameplay couldn't get any better. Custimize your weapons, create your Ridepod, and beat all eight chapters. The first one is nothing compared to DC2. Switch from Monica, and Max, The Ridepod, and Maxamillion, with Monica, transform into monsters!
There's a lot more to the game. Buy it, and find out!

For what I have done so far like chapter 5 an 6 were cool the only bad thing about dat game is that its too simple I dont think on nuffin but the ideas Max tries to invent and I hate find books to look in,otherwise that i like the game and transformations cool...if I were you and you aint got the game buy it.

I think Dark Cloud 2 is 1 of THE best game ever created so far. I mean, you get a robot to make life easier, get 2 weapons instead of 1 (like the 1rst one), and you can transform into monsters! Ive played the 1rst Dark Cloud, and it was really hard, and they make Dark Cloud 2 soooooooooo much easier! I ve played alot of it and think its an awsome game. And I know some people would disagree, but I think the ability to monster transform is a big +. I know its hard to levl them up later on, but all you need is patience, like the 1rst 1.

okay DC was good but we are talking on whole new levels now!!!. Better Graphics..(way to use those polygons guys!!) and as we know the dungeon crawling and weapons build up parts do take some time.BUT.. come on if you are playing an RPGish game you better expect it damn it!!. I love the inventing. Now I am not much of a console player. FPS player mostly bt when it comes to PS2 console games this is by far worth the time and effort. even if you just play to see the freaking amazing graphics.still trying to get over the grpahics after 100+ hours of gaming (i can't quit without building up everything!)

Dark Cloud 2 is a fun games because of the fact that it is an RPG and is a unique game. The weapon upgrading and city building is good but could be better... For instance weapon upgrades take SOOO long and get boring after a while and the city building is practically the same thing in all the chapters. Thats another thing all the levels inside each chapter are the same thing with 1 or 2 added monsters and different mapping. But despite all this Dark Cloud 2 is a Great game.

Ok, those people who think it's the best game ever....C'MON! Do you know what the word "Ever" means? Seriously! The game is great, I'll give it that. It's definately got an edge in some areas, but not many. The dungeons are HIGHLY monotonous even though they may change slightly each time. The best feature of the game is the weapons upgrade system. The fishing is fun, the golf is annoying. The Ending I think really sucked, and you can't skip the credits! I played it once, got the best equipment, and found no reason to play it again for a long time.

STORY: The story is okay. In fact, it's kinda weak compared to the story driven epics of Final Fantasy, Xenosaga and anything else from that console RP powerhouse, Squaresoft. But, that's perfectly fine; Dark Cloud 2 isn't a story driven game. It's a character and gameplay driven game. Unlike Final Fantasy and Zenosaga, you don't have 500 hours of FMV guiding you by the hand to the end of the game. You actually have to play this one folks. It's an action RPG in the style and spirit of Zelda. The cutscenes in this game are short and sweet, and placed where appropriate. Also added is a handy feature: since the cutscenes aren't FMV, you can pause them, in case nature calls in the middle of a crucial movie, or you can skip them altogether. The story is just fine for the style.
GAMEPLAY: This is where Dark Cloud 2 shines. The controls are solid, simple, and easy to learn. In fact, there's a help system in game in case you forget something. The majority of gameplay is dungeon crawling, supplemented and driven by the Georama system, which leads me into a sub-category of gameplay that well call dungeon crawling. Dungeon crawling should be familiar to the older FF players, and anyone that's played Zelda. Thing is, there is quite a bit of it in this game. Some of the dungeons are massive, to the point of becoming monotinous. This is broken up a bit by the dungeons being segmented into "floors" between which you can leave the dungeon, and return to the floor you were about to play. But there's still a lot of it. Almost too much. But, if you're like me, you have the stones to tough it out.
CHARACTERS: Holy $#< remove me > at ! on a stick Batman! We have support characters coming out our nose! There's only 2 playable characters: Max and Monica. Max is the rougeish Han Solo-esque son of the first town's richest citizens. He kicks ass, in the fact that he's not a puss like some unnamed characters *cough*Zidane*cough*, he carries a gun, which is good for ranged attacks, and he can be armed with either a wrench, which is what you start with, or a hammer. Basically, he's an armed repair technician and inventor. Yes, Max can use his overly bulky digital camera to take idea pictures, and combine them into inventions. Some of the game's most powerful weapons cannot be found: Max has to build them. Max also has a mecha. I think Max is short for "Maximum Destruction" which becomes true later, when Max gets a laser pistol and his mech gets the "nova cannon".
The female lead, and other playable character is Monica, a hottie from 100 years in the future. She's a princess, to boot. She uses swords and magic; in using a sword, she gets way more weapons than Max, and she's faster, though not as powerful. Her magic armband allows her to toss fireballs, or absorb enemy elemental magic, and use it herself. Max and Monica can both get multiple costumes, but I only focus on getting Monica a costume: You can get her a Lum bikini. (Lum is a popular anime character in Japan. Why am I saying this, RPG players are anime freaks.)
There's too many support characters to count, and all of them offer useful abilities. You can choose one to take into a dungeon with you, which saves you the trouble of having to hunt for them, wherever you put them.
Overall, this game is a good one for Zelda players. I'd suggest you rent before you buy, though, as DC2 won't be everyone's cup of tea.

this game from the begining caught my eye, because i loved the first DC, but the story and graphics and the charcters are so detailed. this is such a great game. very well done and a hell of alot of fun. the steve functions in the game make this game go to a hole nother levels. theey really out did themselves with this game.

This game is not a great game like people keep tellin me. first of all it gets really annoying doing the same crap over and over again.."oh some stupid place gets its origin point erased and their the only ones that know how to help you but they just point you to another stupid place that has had its origin point erased.)Second, the main people (Max,monica, and griffon) are all kids. i thought that was pretty dumb. and griffon was a rabbit lookin kid..oooohhhh scary..the game has potential but it is far from being great.. or good. i think it was OK.

Still playing, but so far the game is terrific! Very interactive and a great improvement from Dark Cloud 1! The graphics are realistic. This reminds me of Kingdom Hearts (fighting techniques)but with a very different story line. A Very addictive game! Can't wait to see what lies ahead.
