I think this game was very unique. It is defently worth buying because of it's long lasting gameplay. I realy think RPG players will love this game. I thought the plot was good and the graphics are awsome. I bet Dark Cloud 3 will be really good. If you are thinking of buying a ps2 game this is it!

I love the Real-time battle system like Kingdom Hearts. I also like the invention system and Georama system. But I love the soundtrack the most. The game play is very long and I love the GREAT storyline and the buliding up of weapons. I can't wait to buy Dark Cloud 3 when they relase it!!!

This has been one of the best games I have played for a long time. If your looking for realtime fighting other then that kingdom hearts this is it. I mean This game has an ok story line but gameplay is great and The graphics are sur real. I Think you'll need a little help from faqs and such but this game is great.

This game has everything one could imagine for a playstation RPG. With many possibilitys for everything, right down to the clothes you wear! This is definatly the Playstation's Zelda, and remain one of the best games untill, if there is, Dark Cloud 3 ! A must play, and fun for all ages !

This game has it all. With tons and tons of stuff to do its know wonder the game offers over one hundred hours of gameplay. The weapon upgrade system is wonderfull and theres no telling how powerfull you can make your weapons. This time there are only two characters to upgrade with the add on of Steve and the ability to trasform into monsters. My only major grip is how you can jump to the side fast enough to avoid getting hit by enemy fire and Max's battle stance is so horrid you'll want to just use the girl.

I don't usually play these kinds of games. I usually go for easy games. Like the Sims, but I decided to try it. And it isn't as hard as I thought it was going to be. It is a challenge for people who don't usually go for these games. Like myself. And its worth the occasional frustration.

i used to think RPGs were boring and to slow but then i rented this game. its awsome i became addicted as soon as i started playing!!! If you havent played it you need to i highly recomened this game even if u dont like RPGs u mite just change ur mind.

I'm a hardcore gamer and most games are fifty dollars of crap. I actualy never played the first Dark Cloud, but I decided to purchase the second. I thought the Idea to invent items with picture taking was very unique, and I made myself insane trying to get every scoop and every invention. It's really a sickness of mine. I buy one game and play it every moment I can until I can finish the game 100%, and only 100%. This game is worthy. This game is an imature Final Fantacy. But I think FF could take some ideas from DC2. A true RPG fan play Elder Scrolls 3 Morrowind.

Personaly, I really enjoyed Dark Cloud 2. Sure, it may not be for everyone, but for a hardcore RPG fan it's a must have. I also think that as a sequel it adds to the prevoius game and improves upon it. For example, the Georamma plays an actual part in the game play. Now you actually have to finish a village in order to continue on with game. I also like the fact that you have to worry about three characters this time around instead of six(boring). The weapon customization has also been improved as has the character customization. But what sets this sequel apart from its predecior is the ability to invent items by taking pictures! Not only that but in order for some of the NPC's to join you, you have to take specific pictures in order to convince them (pretty clever if you ask me). But like I said it's not for everyone. If my review can't convince you to go out and buy it, at least rent it for the weekend and try it for yourselves. Trust me, you'll be glad that you did.

I bought this game cause I was in the mode for a good game. I'll be honest when I picked this up I was expecting something else, but this game was truly worth the money.....and then some.
I played the first one with a friend and I thought that one was fun, but then I played this one and I found out that(a little austin powers, but who cares)that was fun but nothing compared to the sequal. I have a ps one, an n64, a ps2, an xbox (and a regular nintendo plus a super nintendo; which were both great in their times, but.......) this game on this platform puts everything to shame. i have played some zelda and final fantasy, but I still like this the best, its everything. Right now I havent been moving ahead in the story because Im training fish and watching them grow and making new ones. Ive got several freinds that have named fish and are so into their fish that they dont care about the game anymore, they only care about their fish. Anyways its a cool game, worth some time.

This game is the bomb The characters are cool the monster are cool the dungeon is cool . This game should be the greatist hits . I hope they makke anothere dark cloud game and play it for hours . If they rate this game 1 they are stupid . Who ever has PS2 buy this game its called Dark cloud 2 its really fun.

Dark Cloud 2 is one of the best RPG games of the year. The characters in the game are better. It is not as kiddy as the first. Dark Cloud number 2 has more stuff you can do. I like the way you can fish, you can even keep the fish you catch and raise them. Then you can even Race the fish you raise or catach in the Fish Racaes. That is cool in my book. You have a password contest. You even have a Ridepod(a robot).
I like the Level Up, Spectrumize, Synthesize, and Build Ups in this game much better than the last. You can even tack pictures in this one. You use the pictures to invent an item then you create the item. If you take pictures used for inventions or unusual "Scoop" photos, you will earn Photographer Points. Your Photographer Level is determined by the number of photographer points you have earned. Good thing happen as your photographer level goes up. You can also use two yes two weapons at once your sword with one hand and a gun in the other. The Dungeons are harder than the first. Most of all it is different unlike the first Dark Cloud you aren't doing the same thing over and over. There is more stuff to do side missions and all. That is my Review. If you like it are not you have to give it the respect because there is not another game like it.
