Like a few people I am a HUGE Evil Dead fan. Of course when i saw the game i flipped, bought it, and immediately began playing it when i got home. Now i would like to say thanks to you all for supplying me with the ONE answer to the one question that has plagued me for what ... nearly a month! How to defeat Payne. Years of playing old school Zelda and classics and i could not even have figured this out. THANKS!!!
Hmm, looking back on prior posts i must wander what the fella meant by, "The game was indirectly funny." On one hand, it really is a little ironic seeing how Evil dead began. A horror movie gone bad which slowly turned itself into the best Cult Classics we have. With that said i only can wander how many actually thought the game was going to be scary.

I'm stuck when I get to Nathaniel Paynes secret temple. I can't put a figgin scratch on the dude! Have I missed something? Please someone let me know how to defete this guy. I've spent many hours on it and don't want to stop till I have comleted it. I don't usually ask for help but I'm beging you HELP!!!!
Oh, if you haven't played this game do so. It gets a whole lot of fun after a while. The comments made by ash are pricless and as funny as the movies.

ok hey all i'm stuck in the musium (cant spell) i have the four (4) colored gems but i don't know what order they go it lol if ya think you can help me out please do lol.
To all those who need help like me good luck in finding the sequence and to all those you need help getting through the game i suggest u find all the health bags and the health and mana exstenions they come in handy.
The game is fun in aspects of blood and gore but the graphics could of been alot better. well the game is good over all with Bruce Campbell doing the voices of ash in the game makes it all the more like the movies but it doesn't compare to any of the movies.

Ok "I've read the reveiws on this board and have seen all the gushing about this game. So I'll spare you from more " oh man this is great!" talk. I heard some posts asking about how to defeat payne and a few others. you can easily find walkthroughs for this game by doing an exact google search of the entire name of the game. evil dead fist full of boomstick walkthrough should do it for a search. Hint: use the shovel like your playing baseball with payne. Any way I am a fan of the movies and the game although it fell short in a few criticl areas. I think 20$ is a good price for this gory little romp with the one liner master himself Bruce Cambell. And yes I do think they should sequal this game.

If you havent seen the Evil dead movie series first of all shame on you!!!!
If you havent seen it then please dont rate this game as you quite obviously are missing the boat as re itterated but the game designers in the very detailed commentary clip in the everyone should watch.
LOved the action!! loved the details!!! Love the one liners!!! the only way i think it could have been better is make it more challenging , longer more scenarios, bigger battle scenes. more array of weapons and spells to play with as those are the most fun!!!
Great work guys i look forward to the next one!!!! Gamers watch the movies first!!! Trust me when i say it will enhance your gamming experience with this one!!

this game rocks!!!!! the action is good ash's lines are funny as hell its a game u wont get tired of playing. im currently stuck on the level where i am to find knowbys notes/effects the deadits at the cop station are up diceable at the church u get swarmed with deadites i need some help here pleeeeeeeeeaasssseeee!!!!!!!!!!
oh yeah 1 more thing when the game starts (new game) the computer ash looks so much like him i give this game 10 stars for its comedy, action, and graphics. Also i find it difficult impaling deadites everytime i tap x twice he just swings the chaiinsaw i can't impale i need som e help>

There are three steps you must do before reading this:
1) watch evil dead, evil dead 2 dead before dawn, and evil dead 3 army of darkness, however in the event you can not get your hands on these movies you may as well comit sucicide before any of us find out.
2) kill yourself if you havent seen the evil dead series
3) repeat step 2 if applickible.
Ok now that you fit the criteria your ready to know that this game is the best evil dead game to hit the legasy. deadite blasting, chansaw masikering, classic Bruce punch lines weve all come to expect. this game is onley lacking one thing: a first person toggle. utherwise this game is the best...and onley thing to happen to the series for many years, and as were all crossing our fingurs it wont be the last thing to happen to the series that has given a hole new meaning to horror/comedy ( or as i call it HORRY) with a voiciring by the legend him self, Bruce Campbell the man who wrote the book on zombie mutilating!!!
step 4) buy it or die.

This game seriously delivers an undead punch of good, old, holsome, chainsaw-running, Boomstick using, quick witt that Bruce Campbell brought to the three movies that came a few years ago. I love the fact that Bruce, himself, CAme to give us some more taste of deadites, shotguns, and the best one-liners that give a difference between serious scares and serious fun in all its glory.
i just finished off Payne and have less than a drop of blood and cant kill the baddies that are next. i give, instead of a ten, i give this game 100,000,000,000,000,000,000,000.

The game rocks, but there are times when if your an idiot like myself where you just dont know what to do or where to go. I've been stuck on the same level for months so I just put off playin it. How do you get the door open in the evil dearborn level under the church. I got the bridge up, but can't get in the door. What the hell do I do now?

You people who say the game was bad or "unintentionally" funny, need to wake up. The game is funny on purpose! As were the movies. I'm guessing you just went out and bought it because it looked like a scary game, right? Well, for those of us who know, all of the movies and the games were designed to be comical spoofs of all of the old horror films, and following that path, I think the game rocked! If you are unhappy about the game lean a bit more about what it is supposed to be before you embarrass yourself by talking like it was not what it was supposed to be. Anyway, I thought the graphics could have used a litte work, but they were still appealing to the eye, and the new oneliners were totally awesome. I can't wait till they come out with another one. I have also heard rumors of another Evil Dead film set to begin production in a couple of years(yea). The game was also a little short, but it made up for that in story and some kick a** weapons. Oh, does anyone know what the exact model of Ash's car was in the movies? I would really like to know. Anyway, I guess I'm done, so peace to everybody and remember you need to say the words prcisely. "Clatu Verata Ne........" Hail To The King Baby!

Anyone that bought this game thinking it was going to be a scary game should report to the drug testing lab of whatever company they work for. This game was made for the fans of the movies and with that said delivers 110% of some of the best 'Ash Kickin' I've had since opening night of Army.

If you think this games is not a very good one then you are not an Evil Dead fan. Evil Dead one and two were some of the funniest flics i had seen, but for some reason people don't know that Army Of Darkness was the third movie in the trilogy. Now if you watch those movies and you still don't like the game trade it in on the Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen game 'cause obviously your name is Mary.

This is a great game. I could play it for days at a time if it was possible. The graphics are not the best best there just a step below. The story line is great. It goes right alone with the evil dead movies. its pretty easy to control and dosent take much to master them. The only thing I think they could improve on the most is being able to go inside the buildings. That I think would make the game THE BEST, instead of almost the best. Oh and one more more thing: Evil Dead, evil dead 2, army of darkness, and the video games were intended to be funny. The reason why they made the movie in the first place is to make fun of the old 70's horror movies. Hence the one liners and the poor make-up in the 1st movie.

I found this game to be a unintentionaly funny game. I know they were hoping for a scary one, but the one liners and the comical monsters provide laughs rather than shutters. I liked it for the humor, but I felt a bit dissapointed with the lack of action it had. I am able to give it five stars for the laughs alone. The monsters will not give you any sleepless nights. The spell casting scene was a riot! If you have a sense of humor, then I recommend it, if not, then you might not like this one.

I love this game but im very new to it. If some one could please help me by sending me a walk through. Im still stuck in the first level! Im so pathetic.... But please help if you could. Im trying to kill jonathon payne and it keeps killing me LOL.
Aside from all of this the game really rocks and if you lucky the horror movie convention is coming soon look it up ! If it comes to your area you can meet the actors of evil dead plus more. i have already met two many so come along and meet your idols!

This is a good game!! despite what others say. The graphic arent super-duper top notch, but its good enough..Very funny,a super blood fest!!It wouldnt be the same without Ash, and of course bruce C. is back to voice it!!! Great cinematics!! The storyline is fairly good...and its very addictive ( until its all over, but you can stil go back and play the one levelers)
They should create another one of this series!! Its well worth 20$$. maybe theyll spice the next one up some, improving this and that, then it would probably be a top-seller, (no that its not good now)!!Also a good game for an evil dead collector or fan.....

Dood, this game is soooooooo addictive. This is my first time posting and I think this is the perfect game to start out with. I've waited so long to get this game ever since I saw an ad for it. Then the wait was over. I went to EB, threw down twenty bonez and got that bad boy. I'm super stoked that I finally got this game and that I've been going on 5 dayz straight playing it. Ever since I heard about this game, I knew I was destined to own it. This game is phat!!! This is the type of game you shun the outside world for. This is the type of game you spend hours to dayz on end in front of your t.v. screen untill your eyes bleed. This is the type of game you were born to play!!!
