Ok, the show "Celebrity Deathmatch" which hit MTV many years ago has now become a game. And to tell you the truth, the game looks just like the show. But there are limited game modes and the gameplay is repetitive. If I were you, I'd stick to the show, because this game, although priced at a mere $20, is as fun as watching Martha Stewart cook.

I saw that this game was going to be released months ago and found that I was very excited. I would have gladly paid the 50 bucks for the game purely based off my excitement for it. Yesterday, I was browsing through the ads and saw that it was for sale at K-Mart for $17.99 and thought WTF??? I gotta go buy it! Let me tell you, I should have rented it first...even though it was dirt cheap. The game has some fun moments. I laughed when I saw that one of NSYNC's attacks was to make your opponent dance (a choreographed type of move) and then you kick em in the head. I also laughed when all 5 members of the group jumped on stage and ripped the opponent apart from each limb. The game stays somewhat true to it's MTV roots. It does have a couple of gruesome death scenes, but all in all, the graphics are still somewhat lame (when you compare it to what's available on the PS2 these days). I could have lived with the graphics, but the biggest disappointment for me was the fact that there simply weren't enough characters to play with. I played the game for about an hour and a half last night (Just bought the game yesterday) and I've already unlocked every character and every level. The game is extremely easy to beat and I'm afraid the replay value just isn't going to be there. This could have been a terrific game, but I feel like it was rushed out the door and not done very well. I was also disappointed because you start out with some real celebrities, but the characters you unlock aren't more celebs, they're stupid fictional characters like Frankenstein, Wolfman, Cousin Grim, an Alien, a Mummy and the two commentators in weird costumes. I wanted more real celebs. I thought the create a celeb feature was cool until I realized I could only have one created celeb loaded at a time. I envisioned creating the likes of Bill Clinton versus Monica Lewinsky or others. By the way, you can make a few convincing looking celebs. I created a pretty good Bill Clinton and also a good Dr. Phil. I didn't try any others, but I'm sure there are more that could be done. I was just disappointed that you can't have more than one created celeb at a time. Anyway, like I said, I beat the game in like an hour and a half. If I had rented it, I wouldn't have even needed to keep it the whole day. Rent it first, then if you still want to buy it, do so. It's not worth the 20 bucks.

Since the days on Nintendo64 have I dreamed of a Celebraty Deathmatch game. Gotham Games in association with Big Ape, I take my hat off to you for making my dreams come true!
The game is probably one of the funniest games I've ever rented. I especially loved Carrot Top's finishing move. FUNNY STUFF! The commentary from Johny Gomez and Nick Diamond is almost flawless! Now the key word here is ALMOST flawless. There's still a glitch here and there, but the guys who did the commentary could teach Smackdown a thing or two about how it's done!
Unfortunately, this game is really just a rental title. It's good, but as much of a fan of C.D. as I am, I just don't see myself buying this. The custome celebraty mode had my hopes high, but I found you can only use one custome at a time. I was kind of hoping to see my customes mutalate each other. Hopefully, if they make a sequel, they improve on the customization feature.
Still, this game is pretty good. I give it a seven out of ten.

I am by no means a gamer. CDM's design and ease of operation made it easy for a newbie like me. The game is funny and the navigation tools made it easy to play. Great for a party!! Carmen Electra vs. Dennis Rodman was my personal fav. Shannon Dougherty vs. Miss Cleo kicked ass too. Enjoy

This game sucked! my goldfish could make a better game! and the funny thing is i dont even got a goldfish! I rented this game for 7 days and i beat it in an hour. that proves how easy and stupid it is. the grafics were weak but the blood wuz aight, the music was gay and the game just sucked really badliy! they better not make a celebrity deathmatch 2 or i will $#< remove me > at $#$ snap with < remove me > at #$#< remove me > at $ anger in my < remove me > at #$#< remove me > at $ house with my < remove me > at #$< remove me > at < remove me > at # system with my #$#$< remove me > at # mom in the room

This game has two player mode excellent gameplay it comes out may 18 or 19.It also has vibration mode.Do you no the best thing about this game.The blood and gore.The second best thing is the action in this game.So you should buy this game as soon as possible
