its a little too easy | | mike m. from N.J. USA says (21/Dec/2003): | I like the game alot although I think its way too easy and a bit girlish. The graphics are terrific and way better than ff10. I dont like the fact that the sphere grid is`nt in the game and that the game is very short.Square could have done much better in making a sequel to one of the best final fantasy games ever made.I dont like the new dresssphere system very much but I do like the battle system alot.Yuna`s songs are cool and the missions are fun.The only dressspheres worth using are white mage,dark mage,and warrior.I think the only dresssphere that really sucks is the songstress which is really confusing.I dont think people will like fighting the aeons again or the fact that their evil.Most of the game is basically about Yuna,Rikku,Paine,and the Gullwings trying to destroy Vegnagun and bring peace to Spira,not to mention seeing three hot girls in sexy outfits.So the only bad things in the game are the difficulty level,the dresssphere system,and that its too short.So buy this game only if your a dedicated final fantasy gamer like me.

Second of all the retard who wrote the frikin guide is an absolute idiot. How the hell am i goin to get 100% is you tell me what to do after the fact, its not like i can go back in time and redo what should have been done in the first place and not after. I really am frickin mad right now cause i have to go back and play this damn game over again just to attemot and get 100%. I mean wtf the walkthrough is supposed to be a walkthrough and not an oops you were supposed to do that but we decided not till tell you until it was too late.....I am really irritated and i hope to god that these morons dont mess up ff7 when the new ff7 advent children comes ouy. ff7 has always been my favorite and i swear if they reduce it to the level of ffx-2 like they did ffx-2 id have to make my own ff's from now on. JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a FF fan too but I gotta tell the truth. Square-Enix...you should do better than that! First of all, they took away the sphere grid which was pretty good, there are only 3 main characters you can use, the dressphere system is pretty good but not that good, some dresspheres are useless like the songstress or something like that, and what happened to Tidus!? During the game, instead of saying Tidus, they say "him" or when Yuna's talking, she says "you".
The graphics are well done except that time when Yuna's fingers were blocks. The storyline is kinda good but FFX is much better.Even FF8 or 9 is better. The game is really short and if you want the perfect ending, you have to get 100% and if you screw up one thing like talking to the wrong person or do a mission in the wrong order, you mess up the whole dam game.So to complete the game with 100%, you have to get the guide. This is just a way of making more money from kids. The puzzles are really childish and easy.The game is girlish in the beginning but gets better later on.
In conclusion, I do NOT recommend this game at all unless your a hardcore FF fan(like me) or you can get the game for a really cheap price.(Dam,I wasted my money but luckily I can trade for another game).
| Not as Good as the rest | | A gamer from Syracuse, NY says (15/Feb/2004): | I have played Final Fantasy X2 three times to get the "perfect ending" and I must say the guy who wrote the walkthrough is a moron. At least five things in the first chapter alone are wrong not to mention the fact that important (percentage events) are given when it's already too late to do them. I didn't sit down and read the walkthrough before playing, it's not a book, it's a walkthrough.
I am female and this was NOT targeted toward me at all. I understand that some of you guys think the girly new look of the game was to drive in a new audiance but I disagree. If I want to see females dressed like tramps I can go to the mall on a Saturday night. Remember Charlie's Angels had a much bigger MALE following than female. =)
I was upset that the old charaters weren't more involved. I also didn't like the fact that the story line seemed a bit shallow and lame compared to the rest and the music was less than entertaining. I only started talking an interest in the Final Fantasy Series when my boyfriend was playing it...now he can't remove me from our PS2. I just hope they don't hack up Cloud 9 like they did FFX2.
Bad lines, bad music, bad story, bad clothes...yes, I said bad clothes...I am a chick afterall. =)
| THE WORST | | Jason from Syracuse says (19/Jan/2004): | This Was the worst game I have ever played not only was it too easy but i dont like to be force fed girl power I mean come on, when I first played i got an 89% then to get 100% was not much more Difficult. Square needs to go back to the drawing board I dont even want to play with three whores put a 4th character in there at least or give me a choice of who I want. aThe Sphere dresses were cool and I liked the summons, so they get a 10 on those but I was not satisfied with the ending. I cant wait to see the next FF I hope it gives more choices in the way of character selection in the next one. although I did like the music. all the FF games after 7 except 10 have sucked hairy BAL*s. I cant wait for square to get back to making cool games.

Not Tidus. that name sounds gay, Square Soft i think yal have gotten soft by joinin with Square Enix, the music on here aint quite wha i expected. i want some of the old stuff not no rockin roll $#< remove me > at !.
I expect more from yal next time, and make it three Niggaz next time, not 3 B**ches runnin around a small a** world. imma give it a 7 cause i felt like it.
O and one more thing, make sure that the Ultima Weapon is on the new version of Final Fantasy 7 Advent Children. aight? Ghost!
| an ff game for girls...oh yeah its also an ff game for losers.....way too easy..... | | Cloud Strife from Toronto Canada says (7/Dec/2003): | ff10-2 is pretty girly-thats not the bad part.its a good game you people,but its WAY TOO EASY...easier than 8...when i got it i thought "wow...nice opening...nice graphics too..."but when i played it i thought"dont worry.this is just the beginning...the beginning is always easy...like ff7(7 is my favourite game though)"but when i got into chapter 2 i kept thinking how come its still so easy...?"then i thought that when i fought bahamut id get stuck and stop playing 10-2...but,again i was wrong....bahamut was easier than fighting a bunch of weak enemies with an endless kotr chain in ff7....then when i got to the part when you fight the leblanc syndicate the last time... i hoped i would get kicked in the a*s...but no....i beat them easily....now lets get on to the main thing.ff10-2 is a great game,but its way too easy.because i gave this game a 7 out of 10 you might think that this game sucks...its not that,its just that its too easy.i might have given it a 8 or a 9 if it were harder.it has great graphics,okay music,a great battle system,a lot of stories(theres multiple endings),good characters and....well a terrible diffuculty level.id give the graphics a 9 the music a 6,the battle system a 9,the story/stories a 9 the characters an 8 and the diffuculty...well you guessed it,a 1.the fact that the sphere grid is gone(i hated it)is something that you either love or hate.i like the fact that there are jobs and again,its something that you either love or hate.well,i guess thats all that i have to say.

| wtf was square thinking when they made this pos? | | alex jeffs from california, USA says (2/Jul/2004): | first, the game was like a musical. who would want to play a game like that? it did have good graphics and the fighting style wuz coolio, but why weren't there any summons? in ffx, i mostly relied on them. the characters were annnoying to listen to, and the dressphere idea sucked real bad. another good thing was that titus was gone, he wrecked ffx. the sound wasn't too good or too bad. it was basically a cheap rip off of ffx. i agree that almost everything turned into a tourist attraction. the game is pointless cuz it screwed up the entire no sequals that the other ff games had. there wasn't a strong story either, it was just about yuna looking for someone that looks like titus, and in the end it turned out to be a conflict between the titus lookalike and the yevonites over his dead girlfriend(who miraculously looked like Yuna). i also didn't like the piano controlled end boss. and the jump thing was completely stupid and useless. the game won't get any better by adding a couple of stupid and useless moves. i am glad that my brother bought the game because i would hate to waste $50 on a piece of s***. the game doesn't even pass as a frisbee, because you will break it out of rage before you think about throwing it.
| Bah. | | Mitch from Bordentown, New Jersey, USA says (11/Dec/2003): | I gave FF10-2 a 2 for the fact that its totally way too girlie and reminds me of charlies angels, no offence to people who loved the game or charlies angels, my bad, but still, i believe besides the graphics and game play, it was way too easy and that it could work on the battles (besides the gun stuff) but i have no review, just wanted to share how i felt, so its more of an opinion, i seriously dislike the game..in fact, if i ever play the game, god help me. I mean, i have one 'friend' taht plays the game and loves it to death and its her favorite FF game, but i totally think she's insane because, me, i think the game sucks, i'll go buy a movie and watch bruce almighty instead of playing that game. besides tomb raider (its one of my least favorite games) i think its the awfullest games ever made by square. square, please do better.
