Best Final Fantasy Ever? | | Ryan from Orem,utah says (16/Nov/2003): | Wow, that's the only word that comes to mind when i think of this game. First of all the battle system is by far the best out of any final fantasy.The characters are great,the story is excellent, and it's a sequel to one of if not the best final fantasy's around. What's not to love, I give it a 10 out of 10.
But if I could, I would have given it a 20 out of 10 but that's not possible. bye!
| The Best Final Fantasy Ever! | | Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (30/Dec/2003): | FFX-2 is the best FF game ever. It has non stop fun and action, and it's just the best. It's so good, I can't even start talking about. I'll begen about the missions. Final Fantasy has this new thing where you have to do easy and some no-so-easy missions. Like getting something, looking for someone, or beating someone to the sphere. Plus you get points for getting it done like you get 0.34% which brings you closer to the "Perfect Ending" at the end of the game. FFX-2 brings back old characters from FFX, and you also visit the same places from FFX that have changed alot like Zanarkand Ruins, that they changed it to a theme park. Just plain wrong huh? FFX-2 during battles have something a Dress-sphere, that lets you change "jobs" while at battle. And the costumes have different attacks like Warrior hits hard, White Mage casts Life and Cura. And FFX-2 has the ATB from older FF versions. In case your wondering what ATB means, it means Action Time Battle system. Which the battle is more faster and when your choosing attack, the bad guy will hit you, and you'll lose health points. So overall, FFX-2 has a 10 star on graphics, sound, fun factor and gameplay. So if your ever around this baby, please buy FFX-2 because I've been a gamer for 14 years, and I know that FFX-2 rocks hard.

So many side quests and the mission setup is splendid. Definatley the most challenging of the ff series. Trema (999999hp, 255str, def, mag def, etc...) proves to be the most challenging foe to graze the worlds of fantasy. For those of you who say its easy, I think you're denying the fact that it is extremely difficult. The garment grids rock, give you special bonuses, along with the accessories and friggin awesome dresspheres. The exp system is back, which is the greatest thing ever! Extremely humorous game with a lot of life from the characters. Yuna and Rikku have changed for the better, I might add. They aren't the boring crap faces from X but they are actually living beings now! Whoever plays tyhis game is in for a great surprise. worth the price and maybe even an extra $10! YOu'll love it if you're right in the head...

| FFX-2 IS Very Long and VERY Challenging!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! | | Erik Macias from Houston,TX in USA says (26/Mar/2004): | I have read many reviews of the game and a lot of people say it is very easy and it is very short.Well, they are wrong.If you go and do what i did to get everything there is in the game like getting 99 Iron Dukes, then you will probably have to play at least 200+ hours.You get Iron Duke by defeating Trema,the hardest boss in any FF game.I had max strength and luck just to deal a measly 350 damage.I have played many FF games and no boss in them were as hard as in the Via Infinito in FFX-2.I finished FFX without moving in the spere grid, in fact, to me it was easier than FFX-2.Even harder than the monster arena. The game in my opinion is hard because you are way more limited than in FFX.I have two files of the game saved and and i have over a hundred in one and over 267 hours in the other.I only have 97% complete but i alredy know what im missing which i just a scene were Barkeep introduces he's new girl to Brother.I think that the people that say the game is easy aren't telling the truth because they are probably going through the game doing only hot spot missions.I have 99 Cat Nips and i equipped all the girls with one to deal 9999 damage combined with Trigger Happy and i still get killed by Paragon, another hard ass boss in the Via Infinito.Im just trying to say that the game is very long and extremely difficult to get 100%!!!!!!!!!But it is still worth the 49 dollars i spend, i would buy it even if it cost 99 dollars.Like i said on another review of mine i give the game a 10/10 on everything, nah, i'll give it a 100/100!!!!!It is another hit from Square.

| FFX-2 one of the coolest games ive played | | A gamer from Bowie, USA says (13/Dec/2003): | FFX-2 is an awsome game. They got three girls wearing almost nothing, and lots of stuff happining every minute. Its a very challenging game. Like in Belvle, if you talk to the wrong person, you might screw up the story line. I got the Stratigy Guide so i pretty much no whats gonna happen. I dont wanna tell you all a whole lot but i no you all are dieing to no what happenes. Theres this HUGE Micina in the Far Planes, but you dont see him untill the 5th chapter. The only thing that suxs is that you gotta fight all your aeons again, But ah, you get cool movies that have awsome graphics. Lulu and wakka got a baby, which is kinda cool, i bet Chappu is like getting all pissed at his older brother because of that. lol but any way. Tidus is locked up in the Far Planes, Yuna, Rikku, and Paine (new character) go around collecting Spheres, the dresses are awsome, personally i love the Dark Knight clothes.
Over all its a tight game, play it, love it, and then you can start all over ;)
| Seperate but equal | | Jake from Honolulu, HI says (25/Nov/2003): | This game isn't supposed to be a clone of its predecessor. It's a stand alone game that continues the plot elements from FFX. If you want to hang out with Yuna and Rikku again and revisit old friends and places, you'll enjoy it simply for the nostalgia value. On its own merits, however, the game does feature a streamlined and improved battle system with more options for character customization, and a non-linear story line that allows you to play missions as you choose (theoretically). Realistically, however, if you want to get the 100% completion special ending (and who, putting the time into playing a game like this, wouldn't want the special ending) it requires an almost religious dedication to doing things in a precise order that allows little deviation. My first time through, I used a hint guide and still only managed 76% completion. Great game, improved graphics, but I knocked a star off for what I think is an unfair way of dictating the ending. You don't call it "free exploration" and "nonlinear gameplay" if you can't truly win without following a plotline with obsessive detail.

Well to the game... I love it, the battle system rocks, This is a real time battle baby! The story don't say me much but there's a reason FFX-2 International+last mission! The graphics are realy great, the motions of the facials are really improved from the previous ff games. The music are great, but sometimes I miss the classics. well to all of you that don't know if buy this game, I say don't miss it and don't forget to enjoy the show!!!

This is so much better then FFX ever was. Better graphics, cooler music, more to do after you have completed the game. Whoever says that this game sucks is crazy. I love this game so much. Sure itīs kinda easy but it does not matter. I think itīs a great game with lots to do. Why is that everyone thinks this game is bad I donīt know. I love it anyway so I donīt care what you think. Little sad when almost no of the older characters are in the game expect for some missions. And one thing HOW THE hell are you gonna complete the game 100%. Impossible for me it is, Iīve 52% and only some secrets to find. Iīm glad that Yuna is the main character I love her. Did not like Tidus that much, kinda stupid person. Hey thatīs just me eh? donīt hate me or something. The new dress sphere system is so cool and it is fun to try to find them all, eh almost like Pokemon heh. The game is very short and almost no super cool CG scenes but it does not matter that much. The graphics are much better and the music as I said earlier is great, lots of fun tunes. Controlling your is character is still kinda tricky and sometimes the game slows down I donīt know why. Overall the game is fun and you have lots of secret missions and super bosses to find. I love this game and is without any doubt the best FF game ever made. And by the way I have played all of FF games so I know what Iīm talking about. Good luck playing this wonderful game. Patrik s

Final Fantays games are a bit repeatative. for instance they have the same costumes on (except FF4,5,10-2). though it would be anoying to come up with diffenrent outfits for them to have. also the "roam around" where you run around and suddenly you get in a fight, it gets boring after a while. but if you want to try out a new dress sphere it would be ok. but i mean the fight seqences get really boring if you wanted to level up or get AP. but Square Enix has made a brilliant FF. Number 11 which can only be played on the bloody net which is really messed up. because you need a cable and all that other stuff to play. it is a shame because it would have been the best one. because you could see the enemies before you beat them up. it also a great graphics and the characters that you roam around in don't look to bad either. but every one now is waiting for FF12. but USA and Japan will get them first before us Aussies.
if you have not played FF10-2 you should and if you have not ever played even an RPG your missing out on some good ation and great seqences.

the battle system rocks, it flows with style. i like the way they set out the game to go through as stages and one full on story. the soundtrack is also good, after the other world from ffx they had to beat it and they did with a great song sang by yuna herself(real emotion). it also strayed away from older story lines.The faces are the same, but the clothes aren't. That's right. This is a Final Fantasy where the characters actually change clothes. Yuna is no longer who she was in X and is now a lot more of a free spirit, though she yearns for her love she still remains in high spirits in hopes of finding him. Rikku is just as energetic as before, but dresses A LOT less than before. A new character to the roster is Paine. There isn't much to say about Paine, but she completes the group of adventure-going misfits.
Over all I think the direction SquareEnix decided to go with this game is great since it improved upon X's and added new things.
| Better than Final Fantasy X! | | Sean Evans from Wales! says (11/Mar/2004): | Final Fantasy X-2 gives a new meaning to the whole RPG genre because the story builds on the redecessor X. The thing I like most is the is the three endings! All of which I have had. There is so much to do so little time to do it.
Also thank GOD that they have dropped the spheregrid for the more traditional method of level raising! I disliked this game because it was slightly not as epic as say 7 or 9 it slightly beat 8 beacause of the involving and twisting storylines. It really is also a good introduction the series and funnily enough you do not need to play any of the prvious games in the series to find out the major story because in a little sense it is not a sequel it is a spin off of the tenth installment.
Graphics: The graphics in x-2 are primarilly the same as X because if they had far advanced graphics it would look slightly strange to find characters that bare absoulutely no resemblence to their self in X. Otherwise the emotions of the characters have improved finely and are 10/10.
Sound: This game has the best sound ever! The songs are from real singers not some composer for this game only. Also the battle music is awesome! 10/10.
Story: It does not have an epic storyline such as it developing lately in the game. 10/10.
THEN SO IT IS... FINAL FANTASY X-2 IS THE BEST SO FAR ON THE PS2!

You can play the classic game of blitzball and some crazy bug game. The lifespan of this wonderful game will take you into your 60's. the concert yuna plays somewhere about a third of the game is just heartbreaking and thesound is awesome. i bet that all the people who dislikes the game is that they haven't played ffX-2 or any ff game. Another small fallback is that instead of a sphere grid you have clothes whitch it makes a dress - up game. and you get more slothes to put spheres in them - the best one i have fiths 10 spheres init. this game has a fun factor of 8/10

Anyways i think every one should give it a chance. this is the greatest game in the Universe and I give it a 10 plus.you get so addicted and have to keep playing and playing cause you want to see what happens.But make sure you have played and beaten Final Fantasy X or you won't understand it as well as you should.

The game starts out kinda east through out chapters 1-3 but really gets harder during chapter 5. Also with the new game plus system it makes it that much more interesting. After totally beating the game and after the credit roll the game will ask you to save your game as new game plus which allows you to starrt a new game with all dresssphere, items, gil, asessories, garment grids, and abilities you collected in the previous game. Which makes it easier than having to find them all over again. ffx2 is truly a game worth the wait.

I just got the game and ive been playing none stop. Squaresofts graphics is one of the things that makes their games so good. there are only 3 characters to use instead of... i think 7 characters in FFX. they are Yuna, Rikku, and Paine. this game is great with its new battling system. it's fun till u get stuck then u'll have to do the same thhing over and over. even though it gets frustrating sometimes, this game is one of the best game in my opinion.
too bad i got FFX too late and wasn't able to finish it before I bought the sequel Final FantasyX-2.

| Wow....*Spolier for any that didn't play past the first chapter...* | | Christian from Philadelphia,PA,USA says (2/Dec/2003): | I've had FFX-2 since November 25th and all I have to say is wow.I mean all the dress spheres and garment grids and all of the bosses make the game exciting.My favorite dress sphere is Dark Knight. The graphics is the movies are awesome.The only thing I don't like is the Gullwings.I mean if it was just Paine,Rikku and Yuna alone like in FFX.Tidus,Wakka,LuLu,Kimarhi,Yuna,Rikku and Auron didn't have a special name.All except Yuna being the "High Summoner".Overall,FFX-2 is one of my fravorite games.The aeons.......I wasn't expecting them.When Bahamut appeared...it shocked me.Then Valefor and then Ifrit....I think the hardest one that I got up to so far is Yojimbo.There is still the Magus Sisters and Anima(Oh joy..) to get into.I had problems with Ifrit and Yojimbo but they were quite easy when I got Grenades,Artic Winds,Elctro Marbles and Fish Scales.I usualy have Yuna do Assualt in battle to have haste......Overall I definatly recommend FFX-2 for anybody.
| This is the FF sequel I've and you have been waiting for | | Nick Filipas from Oregon, USA says (15/Nov/2003): | Final Fantasy X-2, is one of those games, where you have the power to do anything you want, and have plain old FUN. I mean, FFX-2 is so fun to play, I never want to stop playing. I know, FFX was cool, but lets say, FFX-2 has 50% more action, and gameplay freedom. I'm talking about, jumping, and climbing, and also add in that sassy new Dressing Sphere, that lets new change into awsome costumes, like Warrior, Black Mage, Thief, Lady Luck and more. I like Rikku's Black Mage costume, and Yuna's Thief. Plus, the girls, are the coolest. I didn't like Yuna in FFX because, she was always quiet, and didn't say much, and plus, Rikku didn't look hot too. But...man, now Yuna and Rikku, are sassy, beautiful, and sexy. But, Paine sucks and looks like a goth girl. And even LeBlanc, and Dona, look hot as well. FFX-2 is a awsome fast paced game. In FFX, the battles were SO SLOW. Now, I hit my Duel Shock more often, because the gameplay is so fast action. Better go with ATB (Action Time Battle system) And what about the Aeons? No need to worry, and I'll even let you on a little info....On one level in FFX-2 (I won't say) you'll see a super-cool-awsome teaser of an old Aeon. But, the Costume-Changes make up for it. Overall, read this review, play it, buy it, quit talking to yourself about "Should I?" because you should. And have fun.
