Lamest FF game ever created. |

I believe it's safe for me to say that FFX-2 is one of the lamest games ever created. I can see that this game is targeted toward the female audience but how can game-creators assumes girls so shallow? I played from FF8 (because it was my first PS game) to bow, except 11 for fear of a virus. I even played FF tactics on the gameboy advance sp. And I enjoyed them all just the same because of the stradegy and quality music and storyline. If game creators wanted to attract more audience, then stick to what they know best. Because I find this game inefficient, offensively girlly, and annoying. What, you think by making the lead character a girl with a a couple of lame dresspheres is gonna be quality work? And what I don't understand is why they would limit the power to spheres? Because it makes you weak despite your level. And what is really annoying - beside Yuna and thate damned blue sarong 'cause I've hated her since FF10 - are the cloisters. What is the point of the ribbon and the hero drink when at cloister 80 the damned snake can still petrify and kill you? And why is it that the highest your HP can go is 9999 when the snake attacks at 60,000? So, I say... What is this game really trying to say about women????? Least to say, squaresoft will be gettin a very heated letter from a very insulted fan, NAACP, and PETA. I hate this game that much.

I'm a big fan of Final Fantacy games. I loved FF X, it was much better than this one. This game is what it is, and Paine says it all the time, it's hard to miss quote one quote "this is too easy". This was the worst 50bucks I ever spent, I should have bought charlie's angels DVD instead, would have been much cheaper. I'll give them the thumbs up for good graphics, thumbs down for weapons, length of game, too easy. I mean the whole game all I did was press "attack". I didnt even have to think to use magic or not because....it's like I could have won this with my eyes closed. They had all this time to make the sequel better...it's like watching T-3 or charlie's angels, it can't get any worse. This game should have been no more than $30. I hope the next one isnt as pathetic as FFX-2. I had no fun playing this, I just finished it for the sake of my 50 bucks, to find the ending was crap. I think they were trying to make this game for girls, girls dont play games, guys play games, what were they thinking?!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm well into chapter 3 of the game. What the heck is this? Final Fantasy Fashion Plates?
The story line sucks. Hands down. I was just saying to my wife "I certainly hope that this story pulls together sometime soon!" 10 was considerably better.
OK, now for the nitty-gritty. What the heck is with the battle system? OK, I'm familiar with Active Battle mode. That's fine. But, you wait until your meter charges up, then if you want to cast a spell, you have to wait AGAIN until your spell meter charges up. Then it costs mana. So, you have to wait twice as long to cast a spell.
And I can't even BEGIN to figure out the "Special Dress Spheres". Oh, and how about the equip? OK, I guess since we're playing dress-up, that we can't wear gauntlets, a ring, and earrings at the same time. Sorry, folks, only 2 slots. And you can't change equips in the middle of battle, so you'd better hope that if you're going up against Ifrit, you know in advance so you can put on something to reduce fire damage, otherwise you're hosed. Oh, did I say "Save game often?"
I mean, come on people, one of the tasks I had to do was to give one of the other characters a BACK RUB? And make sure I reached a pleasure score within a certain number of moves????
This game was apparently written by pre-pubescent kids who like seeing girls in different outfits.
Quite frankly, the worst $50 I ever spent.
Shall I go on? Sure, why not. It doesn't matter that I got EVERY Al-bhed primer in 10, you start over in 10-2. It doesn't matter that two thirds of your party SPEAK al-bhed, forget understanding a thing they're saying.
Sorry, I'll take 10 over 10-2 any day. For that matter, I'll take 8 over either of them.

okay to the game i give it a 10 because its final fantacy but thing they could improve on is all the charaters are different including yuna, ( U ask me what about the story line then)
well they could easyly made that yuna has a sister and she is going on a adventere to wana become like yuna a summoner/fighter.
the music is good i like but the graphic could be better for instence compare the difference between 7 and 8 wat about 9 and 10
u get wat i mean this laterest ffs graphics is not wat i imagined i hope that final fantacy 12 will be breath taking

I really do not see what the big freggn deal is with this game I hated all the final fantasys from 9 on and now they make a gussy sequal I bought the import verson and man did this suck the story grphics and difficutlty I think you need to eather buy this because your a nerd or if its your makeshift xxx...So over all it sucks...

I remeber when Square use to make games challanging, time consuming, even a little frustrating. But when you completed a task or side quest it felt good . It realy felt like you were saving the world. Vangnabutthead is just an oversized machina Sin. What the heck is up with chapter 4? All that comm sphere crap about put me to sleep. I have spent $49 on the game, $30 on the srat. guide(LE). And countless magazines for little piss ant clips of info regarding this game. I want my money back.
Give me a Classic like Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1. Keep your awsome graphics for panty sniffing geeks.

My first impression was where is the sphere grid b-4 finding out that the creaters had copied Kingdom Hearts (Great Game)'s leveling up sys. After that, I found myself in the 5th, and apparently, final chapter with only 50% completion. I didn't know that I was gonna have to be burned for a guide as well just to enjoy an ending based on so-called-"side"-quests.
On a higher note there is no dispute that this games predicessors had built up a high expectation and maybe i could only be let down. Also as a girl, we often wear more than two accessories which was constanly pissing me off in the game because no items would do more than one thing. Still, great graphics and loved 1000 words. Oh well,better luck next time, huh?

OOOOOOk I have played all most all of the previous final fantasy games and i have to say this is one of the worst i mean really did they make this games for girls or something. the three main characters are girls,It starts out with singing and some stupid yrp crap what ever the hell does that have to do with any thing, the game is based on changing clothes i mean damn what is this i am ashamed i bought the game final fatasy games are just my all time favorite games but this one just angers me!!! I rate this game a 2 at the most

Decent but not even close FFX. The ladies (they are supposed to be in their twenties) act at times like middle schoolers. It is supposedly geared to females but everything in Spira seems male dominated to me. New Yevon, The Youth League, The Machine Faction, even the Celsius are run by men. The only thing operated by a female is the Leblanc Syndicate, and that is treated as a joke. The job system is laughable. Just because I change my suit when I get home, doesn't mean I suddenly forget how to close a deal and do a quote. Conversely, when I'm in a suit I don't forget how to play baseball or do an oil change.
Oh, and this battle system PUH--LEASE! This is supposed to be a fantasy game. If we wanted realism in the battles, then REALISTICALLY, when Angra Mainyu shows up, you RUN LIKE HELL, and call in some howitzers and an airstrike, you don't stand there and become roadkill. Just a thought.

The FRiggin problem with this game is that if u do not complete the game in 100% u don't get to see the real ending . Some people may not know this but in FFX, the Square Enix USA cut off the most vital part that will pique your curiosity. The Jap ending first showed wakka and yuna. She was practicing to hold the brath. she can hold for 2 minutes and 20-odd secs. i think someone showed a sphere of Tidus bieng locked up in a watery place to Yuna and if i'm right, she ran off.

OMG i dont kno how they could ruin such a good game as ff 10 is i felt like crying yuna acts nothing the same and i loved her rikku shes ok they mad her cutter and she deserves it shes silly and now paine that butch lesbian i do like 1 thing about it it had one of the most beautiful songs i have ever heard of corse i am speaking of "1000 words" then they went and ruined it at the end of the game during the credits oh well nothin good last for long. oh the story sucks too this game just wrong all around play it if u must but dont exect to much all yhe commercials make it good but they r foolin u dont fall for it!!!! concider that fair warning.and i dont like the whole missino thing they send on things that r not ever important and have nothing to do wit ne thing soo it takes a while to get to a good part in this game

awesome but they hadnt changed much from final fantasy 10 the best final fantasy game was final fantasy 10 but final fantasy 7 was the second best and then final fantasy 8 every body says final fantasy 8 sucks but that is your opinion i think it is pretty cool getting back to ff10-2 the storyline sucks i hate the battle system i also hate the the main characters yuna and rikku are cool but the thing is they are all girls its like some charlies angles crap i cant believe that they dont find tidus thats stupid thats what it is all about they should make a new game where they acually find tidus becaus he should be the main character he is really cool.

Foremost, I'd like to say this game is pretty damned sad compared to FF9, which isn't even mentioned at all ever since the PS2 came out. And that is really sad because FF9 was WAY better than FFX-2.
Well, I had trouble during Cloister 80, so I'll help y'all with this. The best thing to do is equip one of your characters with catnip, speedbracer (not necessary but it helps) and gunner. Before you enter the battle with Chac, which attacks over 10,000 and petrifies (ribbon will not work!!), have your gunner's HP in the yellow. (But do not save, it will heal you.) Then enter the battle and use the other characters to distract Chac, or do whatever you please (just dont heal the gunner). I equipped the other two characters with Berserker because it has high evasion and counters everything. You can do that if you want. It is a good distraction from the gunner that alwasy chips away at Chac's HP. It all depends on the catnip gunner now. Once it is the gunner's turn, use trigger happy and tap as fast as you can. To destroy Chac should only take about three turns on trigger happy. If you end up dying, just redo it again. It's not hard at all.
For Cloister 100, it's about the same strategy. Except the two other characters should be equipped with valiant lustre, crystal gloves, crstal bangle, and dark knight. You need high defense and a lot of HP when you fight trema who follows right after the Omega thing. You won't be able to heal after Omega. Destroy the Omega, which should take about one or two turns with trigger happy. Once you ensue battle with trema, have the dark knights ready on items, such as phoenix down and megaphoenix. Have them cast hast and protect. And leave the gunner to do her job while they keep throwing phoenix in the air. Stock up becuase you should keep throwing it even if no one is dead. It helps because once a person dies, they would be revived immediately without the wait down to pull it out. Overall, survive and chip away as fast as you can. This battle is the battle of luck and speed. so

Whne i 1st bought ffx-2 i was soo confused because theres dressspheres and the bad thing is that you only get Yuna,Rikku, and Paine. Its not like other final fantasy games i played ffx
and u get lot of characters and is not that complicated. The good thing is that you could jump and climb. The graphic is better than ffx and the songs are okay. Im stuck at the plce when you have to fight all the aeons, all I killed was bahamut
and im stuck. The story is way different from ffx and Yuna i a spherehunter and i thought she would be still summoner. they search for spheres and fight rivals. It would be good if u get more characters like ffx. Its fun at the 1st chapter but it get kinda annoying to do all different things to complete the quest
It would be awesome if Yuna could summon but she use weapons so i was dissapointed

The game FFX-2 was an alright game but overall Final Fantasies have been going down and hopefully it will come back up in number 11. The thing that im most pissed about is starting with 10 you couldnt keep upgrading your weapons, now in 10-2 there is no weapon upgrades at all the best thing about FF is to save up gil and get sweet ass weapons like awesome swords but now you cant do that. I am going be extremely pissed if you cant buy new weapons in number 11. any ways, the few movie scenes that there was were kick ass. The game needs to be way longer im used to taking like 6 months to beat a FF game but this one took me like 2 weeks. the ending was crap. the storyline was crap. the puzzles were hella easy. the music was crap (the music is what makes the game hella fun). the gameplay was stupid you cant take your time to think what you wanted to do. there were to many gay little childish puzzels that had nothing to do with the storyline. Overall the game was not a good one and I would not reccomend for anyone to buy it unless you get games for extremely cheap like I do.

Final Fantasy is not the best game of all time. The original FFX is the best game of all time. I've played until the second chapter and I must say I am impressed but, I'm it's definitly not the best game of all time. The title is for the original Final Fantasy X.

I played through it and really enjoyed the story, but the game lacks. It has nothing new location-wise, same places like Bevelle and Luca. I dislike the job changing thing, i prefer 6 to 8 characters with different abilities because it is less tedious to keep track of. And the music sounds like the latest Popstar's album. Yet, the battle system rocks and it follows up the great ff10, so ff fans should buy for storyline value. See, it begins with Yuna singing, which makes no sense, then Rikku and Paine start chasing her and attacking. Its not yuna. Quickly (this game is short), u find out about sphere hunting and the lives of old ff10 characters. Then the game gets darker. It becomes a quest to find "HIM", for he has no name, he is whatever you name him, and a quest to save the planet (again) but this time from Vegnagun. Final Fantasy 10-2 could have been so much better.

This is an awesome game even though this is the first FF where you can't switch characters and the dresspheres are a little complicated. The people who think the songstress sucks should get the book of magical dances. It allows you to be immune to magical attacks or the other one allows you to cast anything for ZERO MP. while just beating the game is easy the sidequests like 101 cloister is EXTREMELY HARD but if you get the cat's nip accessory it allows you to do 9999 damage wiht each hit so use a gunner trigger happy level 3 or 4/dice wiht lady luck. The coolest looking dressphere is Paine's dark knight and the best dresspheres are the mascots. Also Rikku's special sphere sucks compared to the other two. What confuses me is that Yuna knew Holy and Flare and Ultima and all her stats were way high in FF 10 but all of a sudden she can't cast those spells and her stats are all the way back to beginner. For people who try to understand why you fight aeons. Complete more missions and pay more attention to the storyline idiots.

The final fantasy 10-2 was probobly one of the worst final fantasy games ever made. Aside from #4&5 this game blew time twenty two! They shouldn't have ever made a Charlies Angels chick flick game. Espesialy for a final fantasy game. What they really need to do is make another game like final fantasy 7. that was the funnest game i have ever played in my life. And ff8 had the very best story line of all. Anyways, the whole dress-up thing is really kindergrden. So what i'm saying is they should never have made a sequal to ff10. Another thing is any final fantasy where you dont get limit breaks or get to buy weapons is a poor game to play. And whats with no sphere grid. the thing in ten-two that gets me the most is all the fun parts of final fantasy ten are all tourist atractions in ten-two. Plus this is the only final fantasy game i have ever played (exept #1) without summunings. Whats with that? That is all i have to say about that.
