I live in London, and I got Driv3r yesterday - it's the best game I've ever played. The graphics are stunning, they have paid attention to every aspect of detail, in cars, buildings and people. The missions are made so that you actually have to concentrate - unlike driver and driver 2 where some of the missions were easy and the whole game could be completed in a few hours. It's definitely a game that will go down in console gaming history - Grand Theft Auto 3 and Graand Theft Auto Vice City don't even come close. Driv3r is without a doubt a game that you MUST have in your collection, £39.99 is a bargain for what you get. Amazing game, I'll never get bored with it.

the gameplay is good,it has great graphics,and has a good vorietty of guns,so y is it that so many people hate it?After all it is great game.the only problem i can think of,is theres not a single drip of blood.And insens ur lifespan is good,the avrage gamer will probly be alive for a while and if like me,lol will have caused alot of HAVOC and destroction and with that not a single drip of gore... ... how original...But over all the gamplay,graphics ,and,weponry make up for the problems with the game.I give it a 9 outta 10

Driver 3 is the best car game since GTA3 and Vice City. I played the other drivers.Driver1 stunk,Driver2 was good but didnt have good graphics or cars, but Driver3 had good graphics great cars and good character design.Driver3 also has better city design.I enjoyed playing the take a ride. Speaking of take a ride the Police chase you longer and they dont go runing of after being hit.The music and gameplay sound is much better than any other driver.The game was fun and very cool.Great reflection surfases also.Theonly thing left to say is.....This is a totally Rockin Game! Best game I've ever played!

driver 3 has a ten star rating and people think it isnt as good as grand theft auto vice city, but i think the oposite driver 3
lets you in EVERY building lets you hook up to trailers and lets you swim it uses real cars DRIVER 3 RULES. he parents this game would make a great list

Everyone who thinks this game is 2 hard is just a baby so if you need to go cry about do it by urself. I dont wanna hear it. I'm 12 , I bought the game 3 days ago and i am more than half way through it. it's called a real challenge. vice city is so easy that its not even worth it. you beat it in one day and then its boring. plus u cant swim, and the story sucks. I'm not sayin vice city isnt fun cuz it is but its mindless. this isnt 2 easy and isnt 2 hard the graphics r amazing and the cops actually do supthin if u break laws. O i no so hard u have to think about what ur doing and not just mindlessly slaughter people like in vice city. buy this game. its sweet.

Let me tell you that driv3r is the best game ever made for ps2, sure vice city was a hot and best seller in all over the world but this is the best game ever, it has great graphics tough challenges and great weapons ans well as cars and boats. and the graphics are way out of this planet.the city is way kool.alos it gots great stunts challenges. i recomended that you buy it.

The premise behind Driv3r was good, interesting storyline & all, but the vehicle just doesn't carry the load in this case. You can have fun with it - the fact they made the drive-around part (where you can learn your way around a city, operation of various vehicles, weaponry etc.) into a progressive game wherein finding & killing 10 "Timmy Vermicelli's" (a thinly veiled fun-poke at GTAVC's "Tommy Vercetti") unlocks an absolutely insane '18-wheeler killfest mode' was a nice touch....but there's no end to it! Once you get to that point, they just keep coming....and when you discover how easy it is to just sidestep 'em & blow the two Timmys inside away (only one is armed), it quickly becomes boring. Also, some of the places the Timmys are hiding are ridiculous - not places where you'd go in normal travels; it's almost as if the programmers intended for you to have to look up cheats to use. Oh yes, when you kill a Timmy, run over to his body (quickly - before he dissolves) & take a closeup look. Water wings? *LOL* Another 'poke' at GTAVC. (Tommy can't swim, remem?)
The game is buggy as hell - the worst I've ever seen in a PS2 game. Frequent game lockups where the graphics freeze & only recourse is to reboot the system; not to mention the & 'impossible situations' where your character easily gets into places he can't get out of....e.g. falling between a dumpster & a wall & he can't turn, jump or get out - and you lose all progress you've made in that mission.
The missions (the main game) - I've noticed a pattern...first one mission will play as you might expect, with a so-so level of difficulty that might take you 3 or 4 tries. Then the next mission is ridiculously difficult. If you DO luck thru it (and in too many cases, luck & not skill is the only way to pull it off), the following mission is stupidly easy - you finish it in 5 minutes & wonder what happened; is there another sub-level coming up? (the game has a few of those too.) Case in point - in Nice where you've gotta get to Carlita & save her from the truck running her down....then you gotta chase down & kill Fabienne. I've literally burnt HOURS, must've tried 500 times or more....I just can't do it. And I'm no slacker with the buttons either. In fact, this one mission is the very reason I'm here - trying to find a way around it. All the complaints these other reviewers have made about light poles crashing you, come out here. They're very skinny, and if that didn't make 'em hard enuff to see, it's also at nighttime! Her car is faster than yours...accelerates like a rocket. If you do get close (gain ground on the turns - if she's not so far ahead that you don't see her make 'em!)....she'll pull away from you in an instant. But what is so especially frustrating - and infuriating - is how the game will lock up your brakes & spin you out, proclaiming "Mission failed - Fabienne got away" and she's about a half-block away, in plain sight, with the big red arrow over her car pointing to it!! If she gets a little ahead of you, you don't get the CHANCE to chase her down! What the "F" kinda fair gameplay is THAT?
I can empathise with the other reviewer that said he'd never thrown his hand control so much as with this game. *LOL* that was funny. But believe me, I understand!
But this has gotten too long...so rather than go on, bottom line is this thing does indeed exhibit much suckage. The reviewers who've suggested renting before buying - that's good advice. I just hope you don't get hooked on the few good qualities before you've had a few opps to test your hand control against a wall too. These people who are telling you they 'finished the game in only 10 hours' etc? Not without using cheats they didn't! I'll give you that on non-PS2 platforms, maybe....can't say as I haven't used 'em. But on PS2's - yeah, right....and geese don't $#< remove me > at !.

I bought driver 3 a few weeks ago. As a lot of people i was very excited to see how the game would turn out. Well in my case it was dissappointing. I first started playing the free roam mode to get used to the controls and the handling of the cars. While I was playing, it occurred to me that the light during daytime was very bright and after a few hours started irritating my eyes, so I couldn't focus on the game. Another thing that was annoying was the fact that I couldn't knock over the lanterns, so after taking a tight corner I often crash against those annoying things, which can be very irritating in a chase..... Also very annoying was when I tried to enter a car and mr. tanner just doesn't follow my orders and keeps standing next to it.
But in total the game is quite amusing and it has a nice story-line in it. The reason that the game looks so dissapointing could be too high expectations from the gamer.

I love this game! The only draw back, is there is not a single drip of blood... If i shoot someone with an uzzi, then i want too see some blood!but still its a great game.but it dose have more bugs[problems] than the GTA series. And if ur a gore fan like me,and cant stand a few cheesy deaths,then stay away, but overall its a very good game worth picking up i give it a almost perfect 9.5 out of 10

driver 3 is the most realistic so far. Grand theft auto 5 will be the best but driver3 look at the graphics sound you name it. The bit i think thats most realistic is you can swim in water in grand thef auto you can't, the cars cities characters i mean it's the best game yet for all consoles it even beats the xbox, the gamecube, gameboy advanced sp, the ps one and the pc. the guns on driver 3 are also realistic. the boats, the cars, lorrys you name it. the police are also realistic well thats all from me see ya later dudes.

If you are a fan of the Driver series, you should purchase Driver 3. Graphically, Driver 3 is excellent. This was my main complaint with Driver 1 and 2. The people at Reflections have greatly improve the crashes in the game. They are much more realistic. The sounds during gameplay have been done extremely well. The cops are alsosmarter because now you will be pursued even if you switch cars. The control of the cars is a lot tighter. Two of the mini games, pursuit and getaway make the fun factor well worth it. All in all this is the best in the Driver series and everything has been improved in Driver 3. If you had trouble putting down the
controller in Driver 1 and 2, you'll have some late nights with Driver 3!

I love this game. Yes it's way harder than the GTA series but what's a game if you can beat it in a day. I love challenges and this game delivers. For you who hate losing control when taking turns, try letting off the gas instead of trying to gun through them. This game is very realistic when driving the cars and scooter but I have to admit the street bike does suck. Granted there is no blood, so what blood doesnt make the game its the gameplay and the graphics. Being able to swim is something new.
This game was worth every penny!

I come from Denmark and I have played Driv3r it's the best game that I have played ever! GTA:Vice City were great but Driv3r is so much better! The cars and the city is just so good graphic and I love that game! The best game ever in Playstation 2's historie...

I give driver3 a ten star rating. I think it's the coolest game ever iv'e never seen the previews because my computer doesn't have the right stuff but i've seen the screenshots and they look cool. you can go in buildings ,drive boats and it also has real cars.also I like the graphics like the windows cracking.
ButI'm mad that it doesn't come out until June 1st though

driver 3 is a very good game but some things do let it down for instance u cannot kick or punch and when u are getting chased by the cops u try to turn and u just go out of control! but the thing that is better than grand theft auto games is that when the police are near you and ur going to fast they chase after you and when you have your gun out near them they chase you and the things that really gives it a thumbs up is the graphics i mean have you seen them so i give them game a huge thumbs up!

i purchased getaway 3 just 3 days ago and have had fun playing it since, the graphics are great especially on the cut scenes, the plot is good so far and the vehicles so much more life like the GTA. I see everyone want to be able to run through lamp posts but they want realism with gore well you cant ask the designers for everything its one or the other how many cars you seen ride through a post and keep driving off at the same speed? I must admit i wasnt overly impressed by the shooting capabilities in this game but i cant blame the designers for the fact that gamepads sucks when it comes to lining up cross-heirs. but over all i think this game is a must see if not a must buy

Well the good part is the graphics. The cars and guns. But the bad part is the light poles. ya just can't hit them down. And when you hit somebody they do not go under the car the fly over. and i don't think people can jump out of the way that kwik. Also when you swim out far you lose life. I died running from the cops. where is all of the blood. Also when you have the cops on you just a little bit of the cop bar up they shot you. Also they stand on the side walk not behide anything and just walk and shot.

Who ever voted driver 3 a 1 obviously hasn't seen the game, or hasn't any interest in those types of games. You can swim in the water unlike grand theft auto III and vice city. You can enter almost all buildings in the game. The graphics are way better than vice city or any game like it. Maybe the people who gave it lower than an 8 should check out the trailers or the pics for driver 3.

i know were all the money went with this game, on the ads and hollywood moviestars salery's, in a nutshell this game is bad, repeatative and cheap, the animation is poor, storyline weak, and gameplay rubbish. I would advise anyone to avoid this game, I've had it a week now and I'm gonna trade it in, it's annoying because it was the biggest hyped game ever, I won't be buying Driver 4.
1. the ferrari sounds like the car on the old arcade game Pole Position, i know thats a small point but the games called Driver surely they could've gotten that right.
2. the AI of the baddies is pathetic
3. tanner on foot is terrible
4. sometimes you can shoot the villians through a wall
5. controling the car from the outside viewpoint is like steering a ship
6. some of the levels are unessesarily difficult, to make up for a bad game
eg. I'm now a fair way into the game now and I find myself repeating the
same basic pursuit for the 3rd time.(different city, different car but same
level)
I could go on but I won't, don't buy it, it's bad.
