THE PATRIOTS ARE THE BEST. The best thing about using the New England Patriots, is that they have good defense and good offense along with special teams. The only thing that you need to worry about is the offense and deffensive lines. When on defense, I find it best to use either Rodney Harrison or Lawyer Milloy in the strong and far safety positions so that you can blitz if you have to or double check the wide recievers and wideouts. Also you can pick off passes for easy interceptions and the two safeties have good speed so that they can return the interception for some yards.
On offense you should usually hit the wide recievers on the slants or if one of them is doing a curl or button hook. Try not to throw it down the middle because there is a high chance that it will get picked off. Also trade Corey Dillon to the New England Patriots because he is a strong running back and unstoppable if you know how to use him. You should always take it mostly up the middle of the field and stiff arm a lot as well as side stepping and spinning to get extra yardage. Corey Dillon rarely fumbles, so use that to your advantage and dont be afraid to truck people. IM done have fun.

Madden 2004 is the best game ever good graphics always hard hitten helmets fall off everything best players good franchise good create a team awesome exhibition awesome coaches it has a good announcer good sound the fun factor is well fun it is not very original for a matter of fact it is so sweet like you can taste it awesome create a stadium it has no telling how much stuff always big crowd most unusul challenge play very good cheats almost all of the best teams ever no bad player talkin just cowboy mainly sweet helmets from the past and Europe teams also players are faster than reallife easy to run all the way to you can reach up to 200 points also the coaches are footballs
but 1 thing that is wierd no players on the sidelines oh yeah when you are beating a team sometimes that teams fans leave

Fist of all I would like to say great game most realistic football game I have ever played. I have read alot of other people reviews and most of them are very helpful. People please, playing online,If your are going to quit everytime you are losing or need to cheat,sell your game and buy socom.I am not a gamer at all but I take my losses without quitting you should to, i lost a game the other night by 50 and still did't quit, I know I makes for a long game but deal with it please. When I started about 3 months ago the mini-camp drills seemed impossible with a little practice the are getting better all madden is hard but quess what practice. Stop complaning how hard it is. The fist game I played was on all-pro I threw 12 int's Fumbled 4 times and lost by 50. Know i throw about 2 int's 0 fumbles and I just one my 4th straight superbowl on all-pro, all madden is still to hard,but thats why u practice. Well anyway that was probally to long, but i have to go, Ps use broadband i play with dial-up it suckes espesally for newbies like myself.
I like to play win or loss augest I will have broadband so If you want some close games mabey losses my name is below.

madden 2004 is the best game of any kind and it will always,well....up until they make a madden 2005. i do not have online play but it is awesome still i have my leval on the highest possible and it is still to easy i once won against the buccs 213-21. and i played no madden cards and i did not screw up the rosters and i didnt throw any INT's and i did not fumble the ball once.this game is TO easy and not to hard if anything the game needs to have a harder game play.for all yall who say trung candidate fumbles tomuch ......... it is becouse his carry sucks. if you want a back with a good carry trade for the half back of the chiefs .......... Preist Holmes. his carry is 97 compared to trung candidates 74, see it sucks. if you want a quarter back with good accuracy your going to want to trade for the oakland raiders first stringer Rich Gannon. fora good throw power quarter back you are going to want to trade for the quarter back out of southern mississippi, and the green bay packers first stringer Brett Favre. if you dont want to throw interceptions but you want to recieve interceptions for you you are going to want the 5 best CB's in the game ...... Champ Bailey, Sam Madison, Patrick Surtain, Ty Law, and Charles Woodson. the best two FS's in the game............ Brian Dawkins, and Darren Sharper, the two best SS's in the game ........ Lawyer Milloy, and John lynch

IF you create a whole different roster on you favorite team. Your team will be able to beat all Nfl teams. And on the off-season you can rebuild your stadium and add different stuff.
By the way this is all on the franchise mode. If was to create your own team and go to franchise mode you want be able to have owners' mode because you will have to make your own coach and get more of them to sign to your them.After one year of franchise you will have owners' mode. When your team is the best for the exception of my team,all you have to do is simulate the game, and do it til the last game. Other than that Madden Nfl 2004 is the best game there is to play. And I just can't wait til Madden Nfl 2005 comes out and I will sent some Infomation again, then I buy the game. so hit me up on my email!

This game almost had it all ... graphics, sound, teams, fantasy, draft and especially the thrill of online competition. For reasons unknown, the online factor fell through completely. Granted, most games play pretty well as long as the connection is good, but the stupid gliches in this game are a travesty to both video games AND football itself.
Madden 2004 was created to simulate NFL football, yet guys online can win games without a an ounce of actual football knowledge as well as the ability to screw your record up. I really pray that in future games these problems are worked out. I realized this week that I haven't played online in over two weeks and that follows about 4 months of playing this game non-stop, day in, day out. There is so much there for it to be ruined by both technical oversites AND the chuildren, regardless of their age, that have such little life and identity to go screwing around with something they're not qualified to be a part of. I may never play online again.
Franchise mode has been fun but even that's limited because the computer has a football brain the size of a peanut ... yet can destroy you whenever. Playing another human is where it's at and online is THE place to do that given your opponent can't see you audibles and hot routes. EA needs to dot more i's and cross more t's before releasing the next game. As it stands, I will not be the first in line to pick it up choosing to sit back for a couple of months to see what people are saying. If EA doesn't fix it, they'll make less on the next game than they did this one ... their accountants certainly don't want that. We shall see.

I love madden. I love football. But I am sick and tired of all of the glitches. I can deal with people using some glitches like blocking field goal and that one reciever hot route (you real gamers know which one.) But I can not deal with the quitting cheat. I call it the quitting cheat because a person can quit the game when he or she is losing and get the win. I would explain how they do it but I do not want to taint madden 04 online any more than it already is. Rankers particualarly are guilty of using this cheat the most. This cheat has cost me games against rankers. Rankers that I was beating. I had the #12 guy beat by 11 with about 2:10 left in the game. He used the glitch. I had another ranker, who was in the 5000's beat. I used the glitch. Its a bunch of bull. This really makes me not want to play anymore or just stick to playin people I know. But if that is the case, what is the point of having games online. EA sports needs to fix this....NOW!

Hey, all you online gamers. I will give you tips to help you win 8 or 9 out of 10 games. Depending on how you play there are several teams to be. Of course everyone knows about the Falcons and Michael Vick, but use them to your advantage. They lack on defense, but they more then make up for it on offense. Select the run and gun offense witht he balance d playbooks. Switch your fullback to TJ Duckett. Set your audibles to Shotgun 2 back -- the rb out play. It is the first play to the far left of the playboof. 2nd audible set to Shotgun 2 back ... QB sneak up the middle --- it is the middle play when you push down on the controller one time. Then pick Shot gun trips HB out. It is the middle play when you push down on the controller once. Then set Shotgun Trips WR out it is the play to the far right when you push down on the controller two times. On defense select 4-3 man cover, dime man cover, 3-4 man cover and 4-6 rush outside. This way you cans top the run and pass. If you know they are passing select dime man cover and pull your defensive lineman to the middle of the fiel;d to stop the pass over the middle to the tight end. once you get good you can beat 80% of the people just by using your audibles all game.

Just like th millions of true madden series fans, i too went out the day it went on sale as a matter of fact i called in sick, in any case i think the game overall is the best so far, play maker is awesome, my only problem i can seem to make my own play books, can someone show me how to creat a playbook, i know how to create a play book, but cant seem to incoporate it into the actual game play, maybe im ovelrooking somehting but i go throught thotions of creatin the customized plays but when it saves them and i got to play the actuall game , my plays are no where to be found, this is the only thing i cant figure out an i know it probably seems stupid becasue i know the answer is satring at me directly in my face but can some one take a few minutes to explain to me how that works, thanks

You gotta love madden no better game or sport (cept lacrosse). This is the most realistic looking and playing game there is. If you throw that many fumbles or interceptions you must suck bad. this game is realistic all that matters is how good you are on all madden i beat the st. louis rams 63-10 and i was the bengals. I didnt throw an interception because you can throw it away and i didnt fumble cuz i know how to juke and stiff arm. Most of you dont even know what realistic is because you have never touched a football in your entire life or have never played in a real game. As a junior i recieved the honor of All confrence linebacker of the year so i know just a little bit. (I also recieved a full scholorship to college). So thats why these reviews stand- Realistic-10 Graphics-10

Madden Nfl 2004 is one of the best games i have played in years. The best part of the game is the graphics. the graphics are the best that madden has ever had. so the graphics are cool. now the music. the music could be better but it is still ok. there is also a new owner mode on the game. it allows you to set your kind of titic prices, food prices, and ect. if you a new player and you cant beat the computer on pro or all-pro than you should start on rookie. than in time you will become better. also a little hint if a song that you dont care about than just hold the sqaure until the help menu comes up then press R1 or L1. for you rookies out there if you fumble a lot that stop juking or spinning. also (for the rookies)you should play with the penalties all the way up exect for holding and face masking because with holding and face masking you will have like 1 and 50. it sucks.

Madden 2004 is a great game the graphics have not changed much but the online mode and owner mode are awsome.I think in the next 3 years its going to be like playing the real people its just great. This is the best sports game i have ever played in my life. The franchise mode is awesome how you can set prices, but the gameplay is awesome. The game is very realistic, and the soundtrack is the best in ANY game. If you have the network adapter and can play online, its even better. If you don't have this game, don't be afraid to buy it. Online is hard, but even so its addicting. I give it nine stars. Madden 2004 by far the most realistic gameplays ever..All the people complaining about throwing interceptions, learn to run the ball, it isn't that hard to do, even if you only get a few yards at a crack. Then you can throw in a play action and its easy picking. But yes sometimes it won't work and you'll get burnt by a DB staying home. Also use your hot routes to your advantage if you see a DB backing off a reciever have him do a 5 yard hook. This game isn't like previous madden games where it was fun and gun..This is like real football take what the defense gives you

I think Madden 2004 is a great game but one thing really bothers me. I created a team and used a Fantasy pick. Now the game has shut off owner mode for that team and i dont under stand it. Why if you can create a stadium and a team of your own why cant you control the prices in your own stadium. Madden 2004 has the best graphics of any game i own and is very fun to play after a day of school. It is a exciting game and you get into it very fast. The game uses updated rosters as of the beging of the season. I also think it is cool that you can create players and then sign them to your favorite team. You can also play historic teams which is fun to do every now and then when you get tired of always using the teams of today.

Madden 2004 is a solid game and should be added to anyone's collection who is interested in REALISTIC sports.If you have played any of the past Madden Football games it should not be too hard,but just as all the others,it is still challenging.There are many new features such as playmaker control,owner mode(my personal favorite),and the training camp in off-season.The graphics are even more beautiful than ever before.Even though it sometimes sounds like John Madden is rambling,the announcing is still pretty good.There is no better sound than big hits on this game and when there is a big hit the sound is crystal clear.The gameplay is great,but the game still has too many turnovers and defensive touchdowns.It is unbelievably fun.The gameplay is pretty much the same as last year's madden,except it has playmaker control,and new rosters.If you really know a lot about the NFL owner mode is definitely the thing for you.I don't mean to brag but I love owner mode.If you dont really know much about the NFL then you might rather buy another game.Since I'm through with this review I guess I'll make a point about my favorite team.COWBOY FANS STOP JUMPING ON QUINCY AND WORRY ABOUT TROY HAMBRICK and the D-Line!!!

Way too many fumbles!! The only reason i complain, is because out of the last 9 times i had the ball, I scored 2 touchdowns and threw 7 interceptions... I AM NOT KIDDING!!!
Plain and simple, there are too many things that try to make it real, but just make it fake.
It can be fun, but the interceptions are unrealistic. It is not ulikely to have a game with a combined 7 or 10 interceptions. Do not buy this game if you like realistic football. DO buy this game if you dont take it too seriously, it is fun with friends and times like that.

i have played madden games going way back before madden 64 on n64 on this appears to be the best football, not just madden, game out today. compared to a game like college game day 04, the game play in madden 04 is amazing. the players have a much more realistic appearence and motion. the graphics are amazing but that might be due to my computer im runnin it on (256 bit, 2.8 p4, 1.5 gb ram, bla bla...). for those of you who say it is impossible to beat or that the computer seems to rip you off, quit complaining and start gettin better at the game. the only problem i find with this game is minor details like small overlapping of players and the lack of 100% realism of movement, catches... if this game were to correct these minor faults and enhance the details of football that make the game seem truly real (like a realistic crowd...) this game would be perfect.
ps. i love that fact that once you run out of bounds you knock over the marker guys, haha, beautiful

This game can even get my dad to play ps2 heck i have people waiting to play at my house on holidays (i should charge hmmm...) well i wold have gave this game 11 this is also the only game my mom likes because you will never finish it. I think people who dont like this game are crazy madden keeps getting better every year. (ha ha blitz you will never win ha ha ha) . only one bad thing no cheats yet it wold be no fun with them this is no game for cheaters tho. well thats about it now how am i gona finish the 42 words left um madden 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 rule i cant wait till 2005 comes out hey who else hates the horable catching in 2003 15 words left. yay i cant think anymore it hurts m brain well i guess i will go play madden 2004 bye

This game is great. The best feature is the historic teams, but it sucks that they don't have the players real life numbers and names. You can edit this stuff, so that Walter Payton is the RB on the '85 Bears, with jersey number 34. I do this and save the data, but everytime I leave historic teams and return, all the editing I have done is erased and back to default. How the hell do you change the rosters on historic teams and make them permanent? Please help me. I do not know what I am doing that is wrong, because it is saving every change I make, only to be set back to default when I play as one of the historic teams or return later to edit more historic team rosters. It is very frustrating, because the fake numbers and names eliminates the realism of using historic teams.

Shut up! i read the reveiws most of them are i throw to many interceptions i fumble to much. if u r doing that practice or put the level lower and if ur losing every game on the easiest level u might wanna just sell the game. Try new plays on defense dont do the same play over and over try doing ask madden.
on offense u dont always need to go deep try screen plays to your runnung back. also try madden 101. if u have problems with fumbles do the running drill in training camp and put carrying up.If you throw to many interceptions throw the ball away if no bodys open scramble out of the pocket with passing icons on and hit triangle it throws the ball away yahh it takes 1 down but it is better than throwing an interception. The graphics are awsome. They could get better music there is not enough of a selection. Also i think they should drop the madden cards. I dont have any more words for my reveiw so im typing words so i can get to 200 words. Man the packers are the best team ever brett Favre is awsome he might be the best quater back ever.

ok madden iz one of the best football games out the graphics music iz kool so iz the kool owners mode but for the people saying that madden iz too hard in pro they must not be that good at madden to say that of course its tough itz all madden or all pro the best madden fans beat any team anywhere any difficulty its not so tough if youve played all the maddens in the past and got your favorite football team down and know everything about them and please look at all your recievers not just 1 or youll be throwing interceptions all day and fumbling heh stop trying to juke so much maybe and use the new play maker controls thats also a new good part about this game the playmaker control when you get in trouble or are trying to make a big play use the playmaker and control your reciever to and open area on the field then walla first down madden looks way better in graphics then last years madden only thing iz the gameplay iz alittle weaker than 2003 but still a great game ooh yea madden please shut up im starting to get annoyed by you too go get on your little bus and drive away i seem to know more about football than you and ive never played in the NFL heh
