I love madden. I love football. But I am sick and tired of all of the glitches. I can deal with people using some glitches like blocking field goal and that one reciever hot route (you real gamers know which one.) But I can not deal with the quitting cheat. I call it the quitting cheat because a person can quit the game when he or she is losing and get the win. I would explain how they do it but I do not want to taint madden 04 online any more than it already is. Rankers particualarly are guilty of using this cheat the most. This cheat has cost me games against rankers. Rankers that I was beating. I had the #12 guy beat by 11 with about 2:10 left in the game. He used the glitch. I had another ranker, who was in the 5000's beat. I used the glitch. Its a bunch of bull. This really makes me not want to play anymore or just stick to playin people I know. But if that is the case, what is the point of having games online. EA sports needs to fix this....NOW!

what can i say 3 years ago i bought a 2nd copy of madden 2001
and became hooked on what is tactically the best sports game in the world, now i have 2 fantasy football teams what about 6 hours of games a week and play madden 2 or 3 times a week min.
as to the review im amazed that most of you guys dont play on all madden myself i love kicking a winning field goal with 7 secs left or grinding out 32 yards in 4 mins to wind down the clock or loseing whats the point of destroying everyone u play 70-3 by tweaking the ai i found i could garantee at least 6 close games a season
every now and then i get blown out but that just makes me work harder next game
so to summarise very very very deep game play this game has taught me every little aspect of the real game (it took me 2 years to figure out what injured reserve was- u may laugh)hugh amount of replay value and with 30 years of franchise and owners mode u can play everyday till madden 2005 is out

Madden 2004 is a really great game. I like it because opponents can just throw deep on every play. The computer run db's have magnetic hands and get way too many interceptions. Sort underneath passes are the only ones that you'll complete with any regularity. Only longer pass patterns it's like the receivers have stone hands. If you are playing the computer in the allmadden mode and are winning in the 4th quarter, you will fumble way too many times, both on punt
returns and running plays. It is way to unrealistic. Donovan Mcnabb is way too slow, he can't outrun any of the defensive lineman. The franchise mode is nice and the training camp stuff is always pretty tight. The playmaker control is awesome, I like the blocking feature the best, on defense there doesn't seem to be much advantage using it. The computer controlled backs will still get about 5 yards, they break a lot of tackles. Overall it is a nice game.

I just come off of playing Madden 03 and couldn't wait to open my new Madden 04. I popped it in, set up my account and before you know I was online. What a disappointment. In my first game I threw 4 ints and fumbled 3 times. Is this supposed to be realistic? Some of the INT's were of the "miraculous" kind Pretty much uncatchable even by Superman. This game just makes it easier for the people who rely solely on the computer to play defense, they just sit back and wait for a pick. The gameplay is faster sometimes too fast(Vick was the opponents leading rusher).The blitzes are faster, the secondary coverage is tighter. One thing I do like is when they tell you if the ball was intercepted or was a "user pick" you can tell if the computer got it or if you got it. Maybe I need more time to get used to it. The playmaker control works pretty good on switching sides for the run other than that it is pretty useless.

IF you create a whole different roster on you favorite team. Your team will be able to beat all Nfl teams. And on the off-season you can rebuild your stadium and add different stuff.
By the way this is all on the franchise mode. If was to create your own team and go to franchise mode you want be able to have owners' mode because you will have to make your own coach and get more of them to sign to your them.After one year of franchise you will have owners' mode. When your team is the best for the exception of my team,all you have to do is simulate the game, and do it til the last game. Other than that Madden Nfl 2004 is the best game there is to play. And I just can't wait til Madden Nfl 2005 comes out and I will sent some Infomation again, then I buy the game. so hit me up on my email!

Great game overall, some upgrades have taken place in the franchise mode since 2003. You can't sign free agents just to trade for draft picks like in 2003 (free agency takes place after the draft), this makes your draft pick decisions much more critical. On the topic of draft picks make a unpopular pick and hear the boo-birds (now I know how the Jets ownership feels), when signing a player you can try and save cap room by giving a signing bonus, trading players has also improved a meter showing which team is getting the better deal is listed. Under owner mode Art Modell would be proud losing money on your team after two years heck move them, you can control ticket prices, parking, food, and advertising budget. The objective is objective is make -- MONEY. Also, under owner mode you get to sign Head coaches, Off. and Def. coordinators, and special team coach. Awful music though

Madden Nfl 2004 is one of the best games i have played in years. The best part of the game is the graphics. the graphics are the best that madden has ever had. so the graphics are cool. now the music. the music could be better but it is still ok. there is also a new owner mode on the game. it allows you to set your kind of titic prices, food prices, and ect. if you a new player and you cant beat the computer on pro or all-pro than you should start on rookie. than in time you will become better. also a little hint if a song that you dont care about than just hold the sqaure until the help menu comes up then press R1 or L1. for you rookies out there if you fumble a lot that stop juking or spinning. also (for the rookies)you should play with the penalties all the way up exect for holding and face masking because with holding and face masking you will have like 1 and 50. it sucks.

madden football has a great franchise mode even though when you scout players you don't get any stats. The gameplay itself has the classic fluke play mode, i was playing the eagles online it was 3 and 29 the eagles were on there own 5 i called deep cover and McNabb made the miracle through and Pinkston the miracle catch. I'm sorry but this kind of thing happens on a regular basis which takes away from the game. If you want fun ya maybe realistic simulation not a chance, It also feels that if you d'ont use playmaker you get penalized you can call a run defense move the team to the side of the run but the back the back can still get 5 yds unless you bring the house.I think there should be some kind of tendancy awareness for your team if a guy does the same thing over and over your team A.I should increase lets face it you've played those guys that have three plays all game .

The graphics in madden are great. I wish they wood have a little better music though. N it is way to easy to win the game. on pro level you score n then they score n in the end u always win. it gets boring after awhile. N if you dont export the people from ncaa(is amazing too) tehn the people in the draft suck. your firsdt pick might be ok but from then on out there overall r all 60s n stuff. also i think it wood be sweet if you could have practice sesions in your owner mode and improve your people before the next game. N if your facing the worst team in the league or the best team in the league, the game still turn out the same usually. I wish they teams wood play the same way they play in real life. another thing i thik that would be is if they wood have interviews with player and coaches. it wood get you more into the game! The game is still amazing though

I was pleasantly surprised by the changes made to this years Madden.All of the things Ive liked about previous Madden games remain intact like gameplay and a.i. plus a a new owner mode and more stats keeping.I really like the fact that you can view awards won by players like mvp etc.What I dont like is the high number of turnovers forced by the computer and the speed of computer def. lineman and linebackers.I have a created QB with a speed rating of 95 and was caught from behind by Hugh Douglas.Come on!Although I like the player progression I think its a little unrealistic.When the worse player in the NFL can be mvp in 2 seasons is just a little off to me.It also makes it impossible to stay under the cap because all your players want 30+ million come signing time.All in all its a great game.Next year i look for a better halftime show and NEW commentary.

John Madden football is the best football game ever to come out since 1990. I should know I have every copy. Since 1990 Madden has been bumbling, I think it's time to fix this. He almost studders and he and Al Michaels say things at the wrong time. I wacked a reciever and he dropped the pass and they said it takes a strong reciever to go over the middle and make a spectacular catch like that;; what?? He dropped it! In Madden there is either good running ability or good passing ability; this year it's neither. It's immposible to pass against the computer and you can get 5 yards maybe. I love the online mode but every time I'm up by 2 touchdowns some pudd will disconect. I saw 1 kid who was 0-12 with a dissconnect rate of 100%, whats the point loser? I appoligize for ranting but I think these things should be fixed. Thank you

You gotta love madden no better game or sport (cept lacrosse). This is the most realistic looking and playing game there is. If you throw that many fumbles or interceptions you must suck bad. this game is realistic all that matters is how good you are on all madden i beat the st. louis rams 63-10 and i was the bengals. I didnt throw an interception because you can throw it away and i didnt fumble cuz i know how to juke and stiff arm. Most of you dont even know what realistic is because you have never touched a football in your entire life or have never played in a real game. As a junior i recieved the honor of All confrence linebacker of the year so i know just a little bit. (I also recieved a full scholorship to college). So thats why these reviews stand- Realistic-10 Graphics-10

Madden 2004 has a lot of flaws and inconsistancys, first lets look at the excitment of the game it sucks there is not enough crowd involved its the same old madden talking and he says nothing new since 2002 madden second the players dont look anything like the real ones third the players still look like high school players!
fourth when you are on offense when the computer rushes in isnt that suppose too leave a few receivers open no not in madden its perfect computer play this is not realistic! fith what is with the tackling it stinks its the same old leg tackling or bump the guy and he always lands on his stomach. If you havent played the sega football i suggest you try it real tackling real looking players and great fan involvment. madden 2004 only has the advantage over sega in the owner mode that is it in my opinon.

This is the GREATEST FOOTBALL OF ALL-TIME!!! I don't wanna hear all these winers saying Mike Vick is too good because I shut him down in my 1st season with the Redskins in the playoffs I beat his team 24-7 on all-pro. All u have to do is to use the QB Spy because hes obviously a great runner. I love how the cpu d puts pressure on u all u have to learn to do is screens and quick short passes instead of waiting for the long td pass. This game is so realistic the only problem is the secondary still isn't the best but hey its good enuff for me they pick off to many of my passes as far as I'm concerned. I love the new owner mode and all the ways u can make money like changin the name of ur stadium and I love how when u try to relocate they don't just let u, u have to come up with a good deal. THIS GAME IS FANTASTIC.

This is really good game to me because of the graphics and everything else they added to it. Because I use to have the old 2003 game and it is no match for the 2004.I created my own team, turned off the cap penaltys, and salarey cap. Then I was off to create all my own players it's cool, but man it took a long ass time.John man you should see my team, field, and stadium because nobody beats it.I got B.Billick for my offense coach and 4-3 for my main defense.And anybody that wants to vs. me just bring it on.But first tell me how to get my online adapter to work. Then I'll run you in the ground.My created team's name is American Eagles.Right now I'm playing on All-American, but anything you want to play me on it's fine with me. My record 16-0-0 and I'm about to win the Super Bowl again 2-0 baby all the way!

Madden 2004 is the greatest sports game ever. Nothing comes even close. Although, there are some things I would like to see improved by next years release. Like in the NFL2K series, they really need a weekly wrap up, and a player of the week. And I would like to see the crowd, actually become 2 dimensional, at least!! Its just dumb-looking with all those 1 dimensional fans supposedly looking real,(although they're not). Another great new feature to Madden this year, is Owner Mode. It makes the Franchise mode quite interesting, and its cool how different places have different foods, and Fan Appreciation Day is pretty sweet! I also like designing your own stadium when you create a team, that is especially tight. Madden 2004 overall, is a great game and I cant wait for Madden 2005 to come out!

but 1 thing that is wierd no players on the sidelines oh yeah when you are beating a team sometimes that teams fans leave

Just like th millions of true madden series fans, i too went out the day it went on sale as a matter of fact i called in sick, in any case i think the game overall is the best so far, play maker is awesome, my only problem i can seem to make my own play books, can someone show me how to creat a playbook, i know how to create a play book, but cant seem to incoporate it into the actual game play, maybe im ovelrooking somehting but i go throught thotions of creatin the customized plays but when it saves them and i got to play the actuall game , my plays are no where to be found, this is the only thing i cant figure out an i know it probably seems stupid becasue i know the answer is satring at me directly in my face but can some one take a few minutes to explain to me how that works, thanks

This game was lame i expected highlights from other games at halftime. No McDonalds Highlights during the game like they do on Fox 5. What they need to do is get contracts to all commentators say Week 1 how can Michaels and Madden call all those games wheres Dick Stockton and Moose Johnston. Also they dont keep you updated week by week stats what i mean is say you sim the eagles game in week 13 you dont know how many yards mcnabb threw or ran in that single game but you get the whole season stats also on historic mode how come the players are not named I know the deal about the contracts but still at least have the right jersey number Barry Sanders wore no20 not no number 40 and at least name some players like on rams 99 packers 96 favre and faulk bruce and warner still plays on their teams.

Madden has always been a housewhole name but I've always had issues every title they presented.The only thing this year I was worried about was the passing and how all most every receiver in Madden would catch these overthrown, 10sec in the air passes, while being guarded by 3defensive cornerbacks. Madden has answer the call this year with the reaction speed of offense and defense. I think this year will be greatest of all in Madden but I'am sure I'll have more issues once I turely get into the game more. I give it an 8 because I want better graphics in the crowd and people leaving there seats when getting blown out. Over all this game could be one to remenber. Good job providing I dont find my glichtes. And please stop putting cheats codes in games, that what's NFL street is for.
