Madden 2004 for PS2 |

This game is great. The best feature is the historic teams, but it sucks that they don't have the players real life numbers and names. You can edit this stuff, so that Walter Payton is the RB on the '85 Bears, with jersey number 34. I do this and save the data, but everytime I leave historic teams and return, all the editing I have done is erased and back to default. How the hell do you change the rosters on historic teams and make them permanent? Please help me. I do not know what I am doing that is wrong, because it is saving every change I make, only to be set back to default when I play as one of the historic teams or return later to edit more historic team rosters. It is very frustrating, because the fake numbers and names eliminates the realism of using historic teams.

I play online everyday..And there are some things that need to be fixed:like hurry-up offence!Why make the team that is hurrying up..... ofsides?..every third time?..I'm a ranked team on line (ROBTHEBEAST1)...And the thing that pis everyone off is the QUITERS!!!!!!Madden needs to kick that screen name off for good, not give them 4 new screen names....why give somebody a tie? if the other guy getting his ^%^^%^# kicked, he quits and all that time for nothing!!!And to reply to the guy who said you guy need to just play the game . 4 fumbles and 4 int. are part of the game ....What game are you watching on Sunday chump!.If you have any problems about playing madden 2004 ? see me on line!!ROBTHEBEAST1...And i'll show you chumps how to play!!!!!!!

Great game, but they tease you with the historic teams. They need to give the names and correct numbers for historic players. You should also be able to trade or sign the historic players to your team. now I have to find all the old rosters online so I can spend forever adjusting the historic teams to be correct. I like the graphics and gameplay. The owner mode is cool. I still have trouble with the cap though. I build a team that is good for one or two years, but then I don't have enough cap space to sign players through the draft. But the best would be able to sign the old "Steel Curtin" and the new Rams offense for example. Bottom line name and properly number Historic players, and make them available for trade to a new era team.

This game can even get my dad to play ps2 heck i have people waiting to play at my house on holidays (i should charge hmmm...) well i wold have gave this game 11 this is also the only game my mom likes because you will never finish it. I think people who dont like this game are crazy madden keeps getting better every year. (ha ha blitz you will never win ha ha ha) . only one bad thing no cheats yet it wold be no fun with them this is no game for cheaters tho. well thats about it now how am i gona finish the 42 words left um madden 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 rule i cant wait till 2005 comes out hey who else hates the horable catching in 2003 15 words left. yay i cant think anymore it hurts m brain well i guess i will go play madden 2004 bye

This game is great but for a lay player I could see how they might be frustrated at how computer teams do so well against them. I have been playing for six seasons now and I have gotten my team to the top of the NFL. My DBs are the best in the league and so are my linebackers at pass defense. You really have to know a thing or two about how the game of football works as far as the chess game side of it. If you understand how to mix up zones and man to man effectively you can defend any passing team. Keeping teams down on defense and running effectively on offense just requires knowing when to call the right plays. But this is the most realistic football game in the world, so it plays like it. Thats it! It is perfect in my opinion.

I think Madden 2004 is a great game but one thing really bothers me. I created a team and used a Fantasy pick. Now the game has shut off owner mode for that team and i dont under stand it. Why if you can create a stadium and a team of your own why cant you control the prices in your own stadium. Madden 2004 has the best graphics of any game i own and is very fun to play after a day of school. It is a exciting game and you get into it very fast. The game uses updated rosters as of the beging of the season. I also think it is cool that you can create players and then sign them to your favorite team. You can also play historic teams which is fun to do every now and then when you get tired of always using the teams of today.

You people who bitch and complain about ints, fumbles, 4th quarter comebacks or whatever you bitch about. Have you watch a football game lately? Besides Madden when was the last game you saw better yet the last time you played football for a team? 4th quarter comebacks are part of the game so are fumbles, ints, sacks, blitzes etc. If you don't know how to read a defense Yeah you could be in trouble playing madden. I read one review and said the playmaker control isn't worth it...BULL! Your QB feels pressure up the middle and rolls out. Your receivers do what? come back to you. Use the playmaker and put him to an open spot! That simple! But that must be too diffulcult for you people to figure out!

the guys at ea really put an awsome game together this time.when they mean its in the game its really in the game.playmaker is insane, the online tournements and rankin is awsome, and in franchise mode u have total control of ur team i mean total lol.but there is one problem in the game i think its a glitch or somthing when ever u get a penalty the reffs mouth doesnt move til the last 3 seconds. i have bought madden games since i cant even remember and this is the best football game ever. even nfl 2k2 and all thos other games are just boring compared to this.they have so much stuff in this game i dont know if they can think of anythin else to put in the next madden. this is definitly a MUST HAVE game....

Madden 2004 to me, was the best football game ever made. I'm goning to talk about the Owner Mode. I've waited for a feature like this ever since "Total Control Football" way back from my PC. Setting your parking, concession, and merchandice pricing is simply genius. I'm not one to actually play the game, I just love fantasy drafting and building/upgrading my staduim( although i will play the super bowl if my team is in it ^_^). Anyways, Never get the massage chairs. They suck. 3.2m a year is not worth it. Anyways, back to the game : Owner-Mode Offseason is incredible. Hiring Coaches, scouting staff and re-naming your stadium to some corporate name is just unbeievable.

i love being able to change your hot recivers route. works great when your running game has brought up the d and you want to drop the bomb on the CB. id like to be able to change any of my recivers routes though. also the playmakers great for the run. being able to reverse your play at the line is a great way to avoid a stacked D. and if you want to avoid int and sacks dont pass as much. if you've got a decent line and a FB who can run people over, your HB can run anywhere. also make sure you've got some kind of screen or flat pattern in your audible to run if you see the blitz is coming. another great feature is knowing what the opposing offense is setting up, so you can call the right formation.

Madden 2004 by far the most realistic gameplays ever..All the people complaining about throwing interceptions, learn to run the ball, it isn't that hard to do, even if you only get a few yards at a crack. Then you can throw in a play action and its easy picking. But yes sometimes it won't work and you'll get burnt by a DB staying home. Also use your hot routes to your advantage if you see a DB backing off a reciever have him do a 5 yard hook. This game isn't like previous madden games where it was fun and gun..This is like real football take what the defense gives you..
All in all, madden is a great game for anyone that knows or what to learn about how football should really be played.

the madden 2004 is the best madden yet. as of now, it is takes the words "total control" to the fullest. AND I LOVE IT! i've been playin it non stop so far, and there are no flaws except for one. when u wanna trick someone for and onside kick, u have to wait for the other team to set up if they catch you. it should have it so if thier not ready in time, u can kick it. people who play the game know how aggitating it is! if that glitch ic changed, it will be perfect. the playmaker takes a while to perfect, but it is TOTALLY worth it! someone e-mail me so that i can find out where i can get that thing to play online with. madden 2004 is da king of all games! ATL hoe! SWD 4 Life! BIAAAAAAA!

Madden 2004 is sooooooooooooooooooooo great i got it like 2 weeks ago and i always play after school the graphics are great but there should be more of the peniltys because i would like to see randy moss take a taughting penilty or they start fighting but...I like the fourth quarter comebacks when i do them lol its not immpossible to win is your down by 3 td or more i was the falcons(because of Vick)after i made Vicks overall 84 and shockeys 88 i came back after giving up my first pass for a int and down 4 td at the end of the 1st i came back to win anywhy so why do people complain its just a game its soooooooooooooooooooooooo boring if you win all the time. this is a must buy game.

ite first of all this is the best football game out there.owner mode is awesome what else can you ask for i mean you can relocate upgrade and even build a new stadium....and for the idiots that think comebacks come in the 4th quarter they dont....i have awesome cornerbacks and julius peppers and jason taylor ate the end the only defense i play is quarter....strong blits the opponents average rushng is 66 yards

ive only lost one game it was in the super bowl to buccaners and i agree with who ever brought up the turnovers i was up bye 21 and then i had 3 fumbles and 2 for touchdowns it waqs crap i was pissed but except for that AWESOME

After reading some of the other reviews it seem that everyone is complaining about the same things. The main problem with 2004 is that the computer does tend to get way to many interceptions, especially ones that should not happen. Another one of my complaints is that it seems like the computer breaks tackles better and runs faster that anyone else that I ve played. Once these problems get solved Madden will be great.
The new owner mode that was added on this year is fun and very detailed. As the owner you set prices for tickets, beer, parking, jerseys, and anything else you could amagine. The one down side to the owner mode is that created teams can not be used.

what are all of you babies whining about! i have never lost to the computer at any level. if i score less than 80 pts they have a good D. there are no miraculous comebacks! true i have noticed that upper teir teams tend to get away with plays in the fourth that they couldn't previously. why all this crying about playmaker. it gives a run defense a shot against a five reciever set. madden is the bomb! can we make the overrated michael vick a perrenial cover boy. he aint all that!!!! me and my buddy play kill each other on the game, but the cpu doesnt stand a chance. also im getting between 7-10 picks a game using playmaker so bite you losers!

I have a major problem playing so called Madden Ballers that quit the game because their getting whipped on the field. Even if the other player is up by 100 points PLAY IT TO THE BONE! The game is hella tight and the online experience makes it even better. But the thing that needs to be addressed is the way your wins and losses are updated. Obviously if you're like me and actually know how to keep it real. Rank is everything online. This determines who will or won't play with you. So to sum it all up if you talk hella smack offline don't go online too many Quitters, Pullers, Disconnectors, A.K.A Online Messer Uppers! EA fix this NOW Please!

I always thought Microsofts NFL Fever was the best until I got Madden 2004. I don't think i could go back to playing Fever after playing Madden 2004 but I still think X-Box owns PS2. I think that Madden NFL 2004 is by far the best Madden installment yet. However, as much as this game rocks and rolls it's way to the title for this years best football video game, it could still use some improvements, well actually one. I wish the player was able to edit or create a coach and use it in the Franchise / Owners mode. I haven't reached the end of a franchise season yet, but I wish you could make changes to the coaches or edit them prior to the start of the season. I also like the idea of the training camp at the start of your franchise. I like the way EASports added it in there. Other than that, this game rocks!

Madden 2004 is possibly the worst madden to ever be sold. The graphics and music are awesome but thats about all it has going for it. I have an older brother I play agains and the game literally cheats. The game seems to always want 1st player to win. The crap wont allow 2nd player to get a 21 point lead without giving player 1 at least 14 points. Also if you play as second player you'll notice that once you take a lead you will have about 4 consecutive drives when you either throw a pick or drive down field and fumble inside teh 20. I hate madden '04 if you want a realistic football game Ncaa is definitely the way to go.
