Tony Renna crash and died during Indianapolis Testing. And I watch as the car 32 crash and the car tore to peices. This game is a great game and if you want to remember Tony Renna buy it. It will be a good tribute to Tony. The game has most all of the drivers and some bonus drivers if you enter the Indy 500. It is a good game come on buy it I promise it won't be a waste of money. Good bye to you and car number 32.

I'm Glad Casey Mears Quit IRL Series but it's too bad Sam Hornish Jr. Didn't Cause He Would Have Been Doing Good Number 1 Pennsoil D.E.I.'s Nascar car But this game is still fun Cause Nascar And IRL are kinda the same that's why I Like this game i'm not a real IRL fan But still this game is Exciting only race I watch this year Was Indianapolis 500 Nascar's Is the Brickyard 400! But still I wish,and please don't hate me! I wish Sam Hornish Jr. was in Nascar. This game's is fun go 98 Billy Boat!

I have thoroughly enjoyed this game. It to me is one of the most realistic games I've played. The cars are a bit difficult to control with the standard issue controller. I imagine it'd be a bit easier to control with a wheel as it was when I play CART Flag to Flag on my Dreamcast. But being a long-time open wheel fan, I really have enjoyed this game. I can really tell the difference in my car's handling once I make changes to something as little as the wings. I also found the Masterclass section of this game to be very helpful. It helps you prepare you car much better if you know what you're doing. The only thing I really dislike about this game is when your playing under multiplayer mode, you start the race from a standstill. If I wanted that, I'd get an F-1 game.

First of all, I have to say that this is not a simple game like Thunder or Heat. This is just one of the best indycar simulators (not game) that have ever been made. I've read that people think it's too dificult, the cars don't handle very well or feel funny, that's because they're used to play Nascar games and not indycar games. The old Papyrus Indy games felt closely to this one, if not more realistic, but since then this is the first one to be realy good.
The graphics are not great, but the playability is very good and in a racing game thats the most important, the feel for the cars.
The game realy transmits the sound of the real indycars and the music is for every taste.
The tracks have some flaws, but in general are very nicely recreated, and the cars look amazing.
The three modes of single player are nice especialy the Indy 500 mode, that recreates the mounth of May with the three qualifying sessions, the bump day and the race itself.
But the most amazing thing in this game is the trading card section, not the cards themselfes, but the bonus, especialy, the movie clips. They decomentate the history of the Speedway and the Indy 500.

Indycar Series is a game that Codemasters should be proud of. OK the graphics on the cars could be better but how many other games allow you to go side by side with three cars at once at over 235mph! Also the create a team and driver options that are available once opened through the trading card album is a geat idea as well as the video clips and new car liveries that can be won. I may live in Scotland but compared to current F1 games this beats them, and this is coming from someone who has watched F1 since I was 4 years old and did'nt know about the IRL until 2001.

I purchased NASCAR Thunder 2003 about 2 months before this game. I live in Indianapolis and am a huge IRL fan. I was very excited about this game and purchased NT03 just to kickstart this game coming out. In the month that I have owned IndyCar Series I have played it 4 times.
The cars are difficult to control, the slip and slide too hard, the graphics are pathetic, and the racing is not the close wheel to wheel racing we saw at the end of the 2002 IndyCar series between Hornish and Castroneves... instead it is very CART like in lots of space, dirtyair, and half lap victories dominated by set-up.
This game missed the mark, I would rather play NT03 even though I am a huge IRL fan.

i will save my cash ,,, i was looking foward to a new big hit o well. i wish that some one could come up with a indy style car race game were the car's go around a track like nascar type games i would have been the biggest fan if they could have hit the mark

im a huge open wheel fan.. F-1, Cart, IRL u name it.. an as a fan i was looking forward for this title (i wish i hadnt expected that much) the graphics are terrible, the gameplay its awfull, the car views are... just bad (to say it nicely) stay away from itĦĦ
