Improvements Are Expected, but BIG Problems Are Present39829

Brian Rozelle from Chicago. IL says (19/Mar/2004):
There are a lot of good things about the game. The freestyle let's you get past your defender, the power step is a MUST HAVE down low, and the extra button for dunking prevents the "two foot Shaq shot". However, there are a LOT of things wrong with this game, and I don't mean the 3 point contest and rookie game. Big deal.

First off is the inside scoring. If you don't power step, you WILL be rejected down low, or pushed and hacked (no foul) into a wierd lay-up shot thing that always misses. Also, we have blocking. The blocks aren't just too numerous, they're also highly illogical. No one is going to go for a dunk that passes by the rim to get blocked. If the defense is beat, your player shouldn't go behind his head so the computer can block it from behind. Even Shaq can be easily blocked by any center in the game. Some players actually change their height or direction in midair so they can be blocked.

Next is the AI. From rookie to starter is a cakewalk. I was putting up 100+ and winning by 50 after the first week. However, All star and Superstar are ridiculously difficult. Not because the computer gets any smarter, but your shots just don't fall on the higher levels, while the computer hits with everyone. I actually missed 3 dunks with Pierce on fast breaks. In another game, the computer's ower Forward (with 0 3 pt ability) hit a 3 over Yao.

Then, there's the passing. Don't bother using anything but the Direct Pass, because you never pass to who you wanted to. Plus, the pass is either a lob, or causes your player to stopor jump to receive it. Then, the computer simply picks off the pass and runs for a break. When stealing, the computer has a tendency to dive for the ball, usually just knocking it away. The double teaming is good, but at the lower levels it's simply too easy.

Now let's go to the season. Trading is completely one-sided. The computer will never trade straight on unless they're getting a much better player. Getting people usually requires giving up three players for one, and even then they have to show some kind of interest in them. The ratings are insane. The vast majority of the stars are 60-80, with a small number getting 80s. Yet somehow Shaq, Kobe, Garnett, and Duncan are all in the 90s. That's it. Granted they're all good, but either put more up there or take some of them down a notch or four. If you look at things like Player of the Month and MVP Candidate, be prepared for the worst. I had players putting up 30 points per game and not appearing in the Player of the Month, instead replaced by mediocre performers. One time they simply didn't have a player at all.

Another big problem is glitches. These range for trivial things like "skating" players to not getting foul shots for a shootinf foul. Sometimes players will get "displaced" during dunks and somehow dunk a few feet away from the rim. Also, dunking through the backboard is a constant annoyance. How does Shaq do it? The computer may alter your shot, making you shoot too early or way too late.

Finally, ss far as the soundtrack goes, let's try something other than bad rappers trying to rhyme about basketball and failing MISERABLY. You might as well either loop Outkast the whole time or just turn it off.

It's oooook not good but not as good as it should be.37056

Obee from Maplewood, NJ says (17/Dec/2003):
This was a big jump from Live 2003. But the game wasn't as good as I thought it should have been. Last year was a dunkfest ... it was way to easy to just blow by the defender and dunk the ball. But this year it is almost IMPOSSIBLE to put up points on the board. It is a complete struggle to complete a shot. Especially with all the new buttons (Pro-hop and the two types of shots), you break a sweat just from pressing all the freaking buttons. Requires way to much concentration for a video game. Whenever you go into the paint even with players like Shaq or McGrady you get blocked or the computer automatically alters your shot and you end up missing. I mean the misses are just terrible in this game. Its hard to complete simple layups just because the defender might have jumped up with you when you took the shot. I understand that EA was attempting to compensate from last year's high octane offense (almost like the Mavericks) but they went to far with the defense in 2004. It gets frustrating after about 5 minutes of gameplay, it gets repetive too. You can stop someone from scoring simply by jumping up with them when they take a shot. This doesn't happen in the NBA, i dont care how many people jump up with Shaq as he goes up for a layup or dunk ... he WILL NOT MISS. and whats going on with the player ratings??? it seems like everyone's ratings are from 1-50 but then there's players like Kobe who have a rating of 97 ... now come on we all know that McGrady had a better season than Kobe last year (statistically speaking) but he has a player rating of 92 ... thats pretty damn low for someone with his calibur. J-Kidd and Iverson are both under 90. It seems as if EA was attempting to copy off of the 2K series ... where the ratings are very similar. I have one last problem with this game, Dynasty Mode is pretty stupid. The players hardly improve (and at the end of the season the MVP only averaged like 20 points) and its the same video sequences for training camp. I think EA should have tried to vary up some things. NBA Live 2003 had better graphics BY FAR ... last year you could show me any player's picture in the game and I could tell you who they were ( I mean even Rasheed Wallace had his trademark bald spot). This year the players are hardly recognizable until you see their names on the back of the jerseys. I think EA could have done ALOT better than this and I'm very disappointed. I'd rather play 2003 than 2004 any day, I would have returned the game if I hadn't lost the receipt. Please don't waste your time buying this game. Oh yeah, where's the All Star Weekeend ... I mean how hard can it be to include a rookie vs. sophmore game or a 3-point shootout. I REALLY hope EA does a better job next year or I'm just going to start buying the 2K series. I'd love to hear what you guys think about it.

Fantastic game play (but improvements are needed for next year).39021

C`Note from Ottawa, Canada says (13/Feb/2004):
Overall I have to say that this game is definitely the #1 basketball game around...graphics will improve each in every year in the high tech industry so no one should really complain about that aspect(as goes for the loading speed and all those types of attributes). Actual game play can improve in the players reactions and their reaction time...fighting over a screen for instance, once in a while the defensive player guarding the ball could just knock the screener over (depending on size of course) or just fight over top of it quicker...they always seem to get a little tangled up (which is alright on occasion); blocks are definitely a little too forgiving...offensive players should be able to dunk on big guys more often (unless it's SHAQ, which it never happens too); swats should be hit harder out of bounds for empahsis purposes. The ratings of the players are definitely out of wack...i hope EA is actually using basketball experts on this matter(and if they are, GET NEW ONES!); more created players should be allowed to be made (20 isn't enough)...and old school players not made by the game itself should appear upon name entry in the "create a player" platform. All-Star weekend would definitely be improved it there was no advertisement on the floor (Come on! you guys are rich enough from brain washing us kids already..show some mercy!)3-point competition should be implemented, and the dunk may be difficult to do, but if a challenging way of introducing it can be done, then it should be as well...and increased name list for name recognition with created players would also be nice...make sure you include Chris Holwell pernounced (Hall-Well)lol and more nick names as well...a street circuit would be an unbelievable edition to the game and is quite do-able...anyways, despite my suggestions i do love nbaLive 2004 and look forward to seeing the final result for next year's edition...also i think EA should hire me as a consultant because i have a ton of more ideas(i'm just tired of typing ;)...PO

Jus about right (2nd time on here with more thoughts)39663

Trevor Foster from Maryland,USA says (12/Mar/2004):
Live 04 is about right this year exept for a couple things like in the dynasty mode their should be salary caps for teams instead of points that would make it way more interesting for the kides of all ages because most kids dont understand what those points mean cause I barly know and it would also make it more exciting for us.then during the dynasty they should put the Jordan team on it so that if one of the created players were to make it they would get all the special addition jordans like with different colors. An also during the offseason you should be able to work the players yourself just like on madden then it would be alot more fun thean watching the computer do it. then they should have a three point shootout and slam dunk contest only in the dynasty and not in game modes cause the it would get boring cause if you had it only on dynasty it would have everyone excited about the allstar break, and the way you should do it is that you should put the 4 best dunkers with the most dunks or the people with the most arial dunks in the first half of the season. Then about the dunks on the game you should have catagories like 95 an up can do spectacular dunk like arial dunk and between the legs or off the back board an dunk it, then for the teams that throw alleyoops like new jersey on a fast break J.kidd could throw it off the back board or from half court like they do in real life.Because it is very unlikly for a user to complete a alleyoop even on a fast break. Also thier should be a better choice of tattos and shoes. Then about the allstar game I think that yall should find out where the games would be played for like the next ten years for dynasty cause i know everyone is tired of seeing the Live logo in the center the cout. In practice mode their should be a two player mode so we can practice oops and run plays. Overall this game was ten times better than last years so keep up the good work I would love to help with the next Live project.....

Trevor Foster from Springdale,Maryland,USA says (6/Feb/2004):
Overall I think that this game is very good and the graphics are great but I think that in the Dynasty you should have the dunk contest and the 3-point shootout just like in real life. And also in next years game I think that during training camp you should be able to train the players yourself like weight lifting or shoot arounds or somthing like that. But about the dunk contest and the 3-point shootout they shouldnt be in the regular play because then it may get boring. Then you know how you have a practice on game modes I also think that you should be able to practice with more than one player and that you should be able to 2 player on practice mode so they can practice on shooting, alleyoops,Freestlye control, and also so you can prctice on how to run plays. And as I go back to talking about the offseason in Dynasty that is another reason why you should be able to do it yourself so you can learn how to run plays and learn how to master the freestyle control and off-ball control. I like this game because Live steped it up this year because this year live had 10 times better graphics than last year had more realistic dunk moves and better player movement like when you get foould and still try to make the shot or trying to battle for position in the post and also when you setf a pick and the defender tries to go around it an they have more physicsl defense which live 2003 didnt have last year. One thing I didnt like is how if you go up for a dunk or layup it is to easy to block it like the player wont to up all the way he would lean to the side so it would be easier for the defender to block it and that is my only dislike about NBA live 2004.Next year Ea sports should bring 3-4 peolpe down to help make it perfect so eveyone would like it because it is starting to become the same old game with nothin new ever on it.I am only 16 but I have alot of opinions about this game so next year how hope it is better than this one.

Whos is this obee guy and has he even read the instruction manual?37106

Lee from Ontario Canada Ajax says (19/Dec/2003):
First off Obee I dont even think you know what your talking about saying the computer alters your shot it's too hard to make layups ect ect whine whine whine, maybe you should learn to play a game first. First off the pro's of the game Pro Hop definetly a key feature into splitting the defense down-low making for a posterized dunk or a sweet layup. Second feature is the crossing over, there are sooo many ways to blow by someone all you to do is be creative key word "Freestyle". ANother good feature is the "ability" to control your shot leaning left right or fade away or in. Dont get me wrong these are all good points of the game but with the good comes the bad and here it is, Blocking. Definetly needs to be an area more worked on, it just doesnt look real. Maybe they should take some pointers from ESPN but dont over exagerate it. Also another area that could be enhacned is the alley-oops and dunking. I find too many dunks are way too smiliar and yo cant control it, maybe if you used the right analog stick and maybe rotate it or something to create a better more stonger dunk, you can try this whoever reads it, because it does kinda work, but I dont know if it's an actualy tip in the game. IE rotate 360 360 dunk most of the time. Also I'm not really feeling the intro videos, definetly needs more action plays or something, I dunno about you out there but Hi I'm cory magetti or Hi I'm steve francis and your in the game...come on now add like a piece onto it, maybe a highlight of them. I dunno I'm no pro and these are jst my opinions so nothing like this would ever happen but it would be a good idea dont you think?
So over all it's a fun game I dont find any trouble scoring oh Obee if your still reading this and your still having trouble making layups maybe try adjusting your layup with (x) it is an optin in the game.

Almost Perfect38320

A gamer from baltimore, maryland, usa says (16/Jan/2004):
NBA Live is almost there to perfection. When i first opened the game on christmas day, i finally thought nba live has reached its peak. it seemed realistic ... but after about a weak, it became that same old arcade style game. And to get a high scoring game, you would have to play 7-8 minute quarters, thats almost a hour actually playing it. Why did nba live change its player ratings? Carmelo should be a high 70's tmac should be a 99 and theres no way in hell kobe should be a 97. maybe a 93 or 95 but not 97. and why is iverson a 87? the ni99a should at least be a 96 or something. The defensive play is good, but i kinda liked it better on live 03 when u could drive to the lane or make easy shots and put up 50 points a game, hehe, i won mvp easily. Oh ... the allstar break ... definitely needs improvements ... rookie/sophomore game .. 3 point shoot out .. dunk contest hey if everything goes well maybe ea sports can even throw in a celebrity game. And in the second year of the dynasty, come up with a stadium to play in the allstar game, i got sick of playin 03 and seein that "ea sports" logo on halfcourt, yall can make it a random stadium or something. I'm going to take a break from buying live, i may consider buying epsn basketball because its more realistic. I dont mind havin a couple friends over and playin a arcade game with live but when they leave it seems the only time i have fun playing live is by hookin up the second controller and playing myself. its too easy. On a 5-minute superstar quarter, i can leave the game with at least 120 points, on rookie mode i can leave the game with 150, thats not including overtime . ea sports has a lot of work to do. Maybe they should pick fans of nba live and ask them to help make the game, i garauntee the game will be much better.

this game is awesom38838

joe from Los Angeles, CA says (16/Oct/2003):
Unlike last years live that had unrealistic defense and a far too easy offense, live 2004 delivers unlike any of its predecessors. With revamped graphics and additional features such as the amazing dynasty mode and nba store, live is truly a basketballer's dream. It is no longer a dunkfest, you now have to use what the defense gives you, which isnt much (thats a good thing, it makes basketball players think: set offenses such as a motion or flex do not always run as diagrammed, you must make back cuts or go backdoor when heavily overdenied, etc.). Many people who are not true basketball fans who only dunk the whole game will not notice or appreciate the exceptional Artificial Intelligence that has been implemented into the nba live infrastructure. For example, if you are playing as the lakers and want to dump it into shaq, the ball will be heavily denied and the power forward will cheat up a little to help the center, making it much harder than last years edition. As sad as it may seem, this is the first basketball game where the center and power forward actually play their respective roles on the court. Previous Lives had excellent big men (KG, shaq, Duncan) who NEVER missed within 10 feet of the basket, but this has all changed. You will never even think about having Shaq shoot a 12 footer that always went in in live 2003.Taking it to the rack in real life is not an easy duty, because IF you actually pass your defender, guess what, three more people collapse on you trying to block your shot or force a trap. I must commend EA for improving what is necessary for a good basketball game (A.I., tough D, etc.) and not luxuries such as dunks. Live 2004 will not disappoint,it is truly an excellent gaming experience.

Slight improvements from last year.37627

Thunderbird XXL from between a rock and a hard place on Final Fantasy X. says (30/Dec/2003):
This game overall was really about slight and helpful improvements from last years version. The speed of last year's version was too fast paced, but now on 2004 you can increase or decrease the speed to realistic or action style. I hated the swap blocks that always went out of bounds on 2003, but now the blocks are more realistic and they allow u to block dunks. Last year's freestyle version was too easy. U could get by players without even crossing them up, but now on LIVE 2004, the defense is harder to get by and dunks have to be changed into lay-ups in mid-air. For example, if u're trying to dunk on Shaq with Baron Davis, it can easily get blocked unless u change your shot in mid-air, head fakes will help alot because most of your shots in the post area will get blocked. The off-ball mode was okay, but they had something like that 2003. Overall, the gameplay is drastically different from LIVE 2003. The things that were easy from last year definitely became more difficult. The audio/sounds of the game are a little bit better. But the commentary straight up sucks. Marv Albert and that other guy really stink. The soundtrack isn't better than last years. The sound effects are the same as usual. The game really suffers in the frame rate. I notice that on multi-player mode, the game tends to slow down alot and the game play gets choppy when everybody is the paint. The graphics were okay, they looked like they downgraded from last year, but the players look more realistic rather than animated. I looked at Kobe's face and it looked more mature than it did on 2003 including players like Duncan, Webber, Stackhous, Jordan, and Divac. Overall, this game came up with some really great gameplay improvements.

Good Not Great33774

Adam Dougy from ZTown USA says (20/Oct/2003):
NBA LIVE 2004 is a very good game, but it's not great. Live 2003 was about the only game I ever played for an entire year, so i was pretty hyped up for '04 to come out. I went and got it the day it came out, but to my disappointment, it was not what I expected. The new dynasty mode is not very good, the training camp sucks. The players ratings all suck. I mean, a rated 65 player will be a starter on your team. In 2003, you would drop someone of that calibre talent. That's about the end of my ragging, because this game has a lot of positives too. One is that the game focuses a lot more on the team. Before you could use the isolation with one player and drive to the lane with freestyle and dunk it just about every possesion. Not in '04. The player defense has greatly improved, and even if you get past your guy, the computer knows to come over for a little help defense. The double team feature is also great. You can create a lot of turnovers by double teaming a player or deflecting a pass. Diving for the ball is also pretty cool. I also like the fact that a dunk isn't a gimme anymore, you have to actually work to get a layup or dunk. The defender can block away the ball or move you into a position where it is hard to make the shot.
I think that if you are a hardcore basketball fan or if you couldn't put down Live 2003, you should buy this game. If you thought 2003 was alright, and you only want to get an updated roster, don't waste your $50.

The Best Basketball Game Ever Made!33495

Reg from Grand Prairie, Tx USA says (16/Oct/2003):
NBA Live 2004, has change totally for the best. The Dunks, Shots, Steals, man this game is real. I Mean, you can throw on your HardWood Classics, and just go at it. ITS a definite, GO BUY!!! I promise you wont regret it. The NBA STORE on Live, is a new Feature as well that made this one the best games ever. You Can Purchase every thing from NBA Accessories, to Throw Back Jerseys, and Shoes. I Purchased the very first pair of Jordans ever Made. I know you know what im talking about. The hace your Air Force Ones, Your, Paytons, Vince Carters, and just all kinds of nice Shoes. One Pair of shoes need to be deleted from this Game Though, and those would be Shaq's Shoes. lol. I Mean dont get me wrong, Shaq (Big Fella) is a Bad Man on that court, but i cant take him serious with those, Now and Later looking shoes he got on his feet. I had, to change, and put him into some Nike Shocks. Being Serious though, when you first turn the game on, the Controller Configuration is kinda hard because of all the new features, but once you learn and get use to the buttons, its high flying, in your face, nuthing but the bottom, action ALL NIGHT LONG!!!!!!!!! Another tight thing about Live 2004 is the music. This Game has some of the Baddest artist on the tracks, such as Chingy, Da Brat, Lil Flip, Black Eyed Peas, Clipse, Twista, Outkast, Jermaine Dupri, and more. yea, every video game, Basketball fan deserves this Game. GO Get Your hands on One Ight.

For Real Basketball Fans33984

Aquil Bayyan from Washington, DC says (24/Oct/2003):
I have been playing basketball simulations since "Double Dribble" on Nintendo. I have mastered all the EA Basketball games since Lakers vs. Celtics. I guess I would consider myself a veteran, in this basketball world (played Division 1 Basketball, and now coach high school), and I feel that Live 2004 is the realest basketball game to come out. In previous Live Series, I prided myself in playing full-court high pressure defense on superstar mode and shutting my opponents down while myself shooting a very high percentage. 2003 offered no such defense and the shooting percenatges were around 70% which is unrealistic. 2004 has almost too much defense, but it shows how much I have to use the practice, 1-on-1 mode, and run more plays, not just the same plays I have been running since Live 99. The first time I played on superstar, I was down 51-4 in the third quarter. I look at 2004 as a challenege and I know that anyone won't be able to pick up a stick and hang on superstar mode. I think that once you get to the lane, players miss too many lay ups and dunks, but other than that the gameplay is great. So far against human competition I have not faced anyone that can beat me, but that CPU on Superstar is as tough as they come. I know lose by 5-10 points to the computer which is an improvement. Live 2005 should have all-time teams and better player ratings.

Descent... more so than 2003 with lots of room to go36039

Sr. Iron Lung from east coast ghetto, usa says (25/Nov/2003):
while a step up in a lot of departments, I still think the game has lots of room to develop. In 2004, a balla's hand doesn't go through the ball and you can't keep knockin playas down on D like in 2003 all that much. Individual ratings are suspect, though. I don't see why EA can't make Live closer to Madden. Scrap the point system. Improve Dynasty mode. And if you're going to put in the training camp feature, make sure it makes a difference and is not just for the cut scenes. It'd be tight if they put in 3 point and dunk contests, but I think it'd be of DA MUTHA****** HOOK if they added freestyle control to dunks and lay ups like they do for dribble (not that 'adjust shot button' b.s.) -- in madden you can do just about everything you can on the field in real live and Live 2004 leaves a lot to the computer and to chance especially with all the air collisions. man, i had to turn that joint down and I never mess with the settings; if they crashed so much in real life they'd be wearin helmets. however, all that is kind of minor (play it to see for yourself) and it's a step up from before.
P.S. next time you lifted or whatever playing it, if you mess with the Instant Replay, you'll see that you can actually see things like tha inside of a playas head if you rotate the camera right cause the graphics are not as good as madden. still a tight game though.

great game, false codes.34612

Big Wane from da hood! from H.ome O.f the B.rave, nj, USA says (3/Nov/2003):
The NBA Live 2004 game is a great game overall. In fact, it has the potential to be the best ever. But I have been having a problem with these false codes lately. First of all, the only create-a-player code that works is the corny ass jermaine dupri code. That code for 50cent doesnt work because there is not enough space to fit "thenewbreed" in the last name space provided. Also, all of those other codes are from last years game like the fabolous code and the busta rhymes code. If anyone out there knows of a solution for this, please contact my email address and let me know whats going on. Thats one of the problems I have. Another one is the fact that players are able to do more stuff with madden than Live. Its made by the same company so there shouldnt be a big difference, but there is. Ever since I can remember, madden has allowed gamers to pick teams of the past. When is EAsports going to stop being lazy when it comes to its basketball products. If they had all of those old players in NBA Street vol.2, and all of those old jerseys, then they should have it where players can pick old teams of the past such as the 88 lakers, or they 96 bulls or the badboys from 89-90. Other than those minor set backs, I think its a great game and I would recommend it for the true baller out there.

NBA Live 2004 is almost the best b-ball game evea34477

Chi H from Washington,Seattle. USA says (1/Nov/2003):
NBA Live 2004 is prettyt cool, but Espn basketball is the bomb. In NBA live 2004, the dunk moves is little bit sux, all they do is the nor moves, and there is not much layups. I like this game because their dribble moves, their dribble move is the bomb, their is alot dribble moves. They make you screen. This game is pretty real, the music is tyte. and the NBA store, there is alot stuff you want. The online sux thou, dont ever try it. well if you try it then you will know how sux it is. but still this game is still pretty cool. There is cheat code you can put in, there is like new players, like 50cent, snoopdog, and a lot of other singers. They should add more stuff into nba live 2004, they should add like trning, misstion, and some other stuff that wont make you bored. The players in the nba live 2004 is pretty alike the real nba players. that is pretty cool. For some reason i think they didnt change the game that much from last year. they are almost the same. When i bought this game , there isn't much people play online, i give this game 10 out of 8 because this game isn't much different from last year, and ESPN Basketball is better then nba live 2004. and this is all i have to say.
PS: You guys or girls have to go check this game out.

three point shootout...............slam dunk contest36738

chicken gravy from shelburne ns canada says (8/Dec/2003):
somewhat dissapointed with the overall outcome of the game.
hoping they would have brought back the three point shootout for this 2004. i remember that from like 1995 games...the free style option is great it makes the game seem realistic.....graphics wise some players do look legit.. they did improve on the glitch factor of the basketball games
players no long run through you while you are playing defence..that is a bonus.. in the one on one mode it is hard to see where you are on defence...the replay on block shots is cool...one thing that really sucks about this game and 03 version is the soundtracks....ahhhhhhhhhhh the sountrack for this game is weak there must be some better songs out there ....it seems like there are no options to games anymore..no halftime show....come on at least show a mascot dunking off a trampoline or something ...its like game play doesnot matter anymore as long as graphics are good..and once again if there is an all star game ...the three point and dunk contest should be there as well..it can be understood that the dunk contest may be asking for a bit extra but not the three point shoot out...and also don't remember seeing spud webb anywhere...........

Vastly Improved but not Quite There33904

Mark Judge from Mauston, WI, USA says (22/Oct/2003):
First of all the biggest improvement of all is the cpu AI at the end of the game. You can actually have a close game without the computer screwing up. Also controlling the cpu AI makes for great comptition on any level and will allow the computer to make a good amount of subsituation. Graphics are good but jitter way more than any PS2 game I've ever seen. The underrated players will take some getting use to but it keeps players like Iverson from averaging 10 blocks a game. Then we get to the heart of the game were I love to spend half my time is in the menu of the dynasty mode. How can EA do so awsome and be untouchable at this in Madden and just completely drop the ball on NBA Live. We finally can trade draft picks and free agents don't go to only one team leaving you no chance, but when do we get to deal with $1,000,000 in stead of 100,000pts and the best thing about Madden this year is the owners mode. I want Phil Jackson to coach my team maybe even have MJ to grace our sidelines as a coach. What went through EA's head when they did this for Madden and not Live.

Way better than the last few Nba Live's....35736

Adam from Seattle, Washington, USA says (20/Nov/2003):
Finally EA sports made a good basketball game, I thought I was gonna be playing the sega sports basketball franchise again this year, but EA finally improved Live 2004. There is still some room for improvement though, like the same dunk happening over and over again, or the computer being able to hit jumpshots in your face regardless of how tight the defense is, and where do I get the NBA codes? So far all I have is the LeBron James signature shoes, can anyone let me know where all the other codes can be found? Overall I would say that this is the best basketball game this year, and I would recomend that any NBA fan should own it. The AI is way better, the defense is better, though it could still use a few tweaks here and there, It is way more authentic than last years dunkfest of a game. I like the idea of the NBA store with the hardwood classics and the shoes, but like I already said, I can't find any NBA codes anywhere. If anyone could email any codes that you have, I would really appreciate it. Alright, I gotta get back to my game, I'm down 5 to the damn Kings.
