Ok, Socom 2 is the best game u can play online for ps2, But The cheaters are back....I cant give spacifics "b/c i hate cheaters" on how to cheat but u can boost your score to like 1000points in a game with vip's. Man I hate cheaters. But yea this game is all around kicka$$. The sound goes away when a flashbang, or frag goes off. You lose vision and the sscreen shakes. It makes it feel like it is real..Some guns are weaker but u gata do what u gata to kill someone. The heath meter is better now. u can get hit in the hand and it dosent do anything but a smidge. A head shot is an auto kill. I play this game everyday for 4 hours.U have to have 150 words thats y i am putting this in here. if u wana hit me up.. PEACE.. ps good job zipper.

Socom 2 is an awesome game, and all this u hear about people saying u can't kill people and crap, is BS, i used to say the same thing, but it just takes a little time to get used to the new damage system, it is actually alot more realistic, because now if someone shoots you in the foot with a sniper rifle, you don't die, it takes alot of health though, and if you get shot in the center of the chest or head, you're done. All the people you hear complain about SOCOM 2 are either really new, or just suck period. There are a couple spots where people can glitch in the game, and crap like that, but u can always vote them off, and to andy324< remove me > at bellsouth.net u asked about a better gun, try the IW-80 as a seal, and the m14 as a terrorist, they are in my view the best guns, and my stats are 3400 kills and 1700 deaths, so i have done pretty well, i am ranked about 150 and i was at 20 about a week ago. later guys.

wow this is like the best game i have ever played i cant get off it and when the servers are down i play 1 player it is by far the best game my favorite level is foxhunt also cause it is huge and great for sniping and even though im not a good sniper i still love doing it and if anyone wants to know how to keep your rank close to where it is even if you dont do that well and if you do do good then it will go up is be on terrorist alot because they have the worst guns so if you are terrorist and you do bad they dont blame you and a good gun to use fpor terrorist is the m60e3 or something like that and a good gun for the seals is the ra-14 trust me the ra-14 is really accurate and is strong. If you dont think so then just email me at andy324< remove me > at bellsouth.net because i would like to know any better guns so i can use them because so far those are the guns i use and i am a captain at like 2000 and my brother is in the BS clan that is ranked 8 for clan rankings and he was the one who told me but if you think you are better then him then please tell me thanks

ok i have xbox and i dont think it sucks but ps2 is by far better then xbox. xbox may have good graphics and everything but the games are just so fake except for ghost recon but that is like too realistic and i havent played counterstrike but ive heard by many people that it sucks big dick and another game is ranbow6 3 and that one is good but when you compare that to socom 2 socom 2 comes out to be the winner and i think that the best game for xbox is halo and i cant wait for halo 2 but if it were a choice between socom 2 and halo 2 socom 2 is my number 1 choice. and tell me if there was a game that had the best graphics ever like it looked real but all you would do is $#< remove me > at !ing shoot someone with a rocket launcher would you play that other then a game with a little worse graphics then it but was the best game like socom 2, tell me what game you would choose and my socom 2 name is pimp but the i is alt the second i from the left on alt so add me to your friends list and see if you can join my clan im not the leader but if you are good enough then im sure that you can join because our clan suck and we need some good players.

Socom 2 rocks..I was mad that they didint fix all the bugs and stuff. Socom II has by far exceeded my expectations. It is one of the most realistic covert games out there. I love the fact that they put recoil effects into the weapons. I am a MP and have fired fully automatic weapons, some of which are in the game. It was nice to see that the weapons handle like they do in real life. Foxhunt is by far one of the best levels they have. You can cover the whole area with two people if you are good enough. The level is open to a variety of different attacks, for those that like to snipe bring your rifles. It may be big and not have a lot of hiding places, but all you have to do is lay down in the grass and people will walk right by you. For those that like demolitions, you have a variety of maps you can blow stuff up in. Sujo is by far the best breach map there is. just the fact that you can get into the base with just blowing one of the perimeter fences up is awesome and the terrorist can make it out without blowing anything up, which makes it a little more difficult for the Seals to get in because they have to watch their backs now. The AI is a whole lot better in this game than the last. You don't have your fireteam making stupid mistakes as they did last time, and they follow your orders to a T. Myself being a MP think that is one of the best things they could have done, no more insubordination. The controls are the same, so you don't have to relearn them. Plus they are easy enough that any one that has never played before can pick it up and get going. All the stealth in the game makes it so realistic that it's like you are right there with the Seals. Now I understand that some people are not that stealthy, so all you have to do is work on it and try to learn patients. Patients, Teamwork, Stealth, and getting the mission done all in one piece that is what I believe being a Seal is all about. Over all great game for all players, those that like the original will love the sequel. Those that have never played will become instanly addicted. I can't wait for the third instalment. The moment i started the first mission i thought" meh, could be better" BUT after i made it into the town and captured the terrorist leader i had changed my mind, it was sweet. Way more realistic levels, (both offline and online) Turrets are fun(infer-red scopes kick ass)And i love RGP's, Respawn games are an amazing addition to online also, and it is more realistic then before, one example, i was online and at the top sniper-place in rats nest, but i'm not much of a sniper so i pulled out my RPG, and after a minute or 2 i decided i was just going to shoot it and didnt care if anyone died, so i shot, "Suicide death fragged ? with back blast" i was like WTF? i turned around and noticed that i had killed a guy with the fire that shoots out the back of the RPG!

SOCOM 2 is addictive! I finished the entire(ensign)level in a day...and movin on to higher ranks! Thank goodness, Boomer is gone! NO more stupid SEAL team. Here, the players follow direct orders better. What ever happened to Kahuna? Was he demoted or somethin???? The voice of Specter sounds really young though. Sometimes i can hear one of the players screaming like a sissy. The voices in Socom 1 is alot better...i think. The graphics are real cool!!!! Every level is a knockout! Kick some terrorist butt!!! I like the videos too! Those who look for cheats on this game are real dumbnuts!!!!!!!!!! I'm looking forward to SOCOM 3. Is there like away you can shoot on the lights and use my night vision? That's the only thing i noticed here....I shoot on the lights and nothing happens. I don't know if you will agree with me on this one but it's just a suggestion. I use to play Syphon Filter 3 before and there's a realistic effect when you get to shoot on the lights and attack enemies with stealth....Excellent work, you guys!!!

Well, I'm not suprised that you like the game knives.I bet if it wasn't for this stupid recoil affect you would have died many times.And the fact that you enjoy the new noobie cannons also proves that you are most likely a noob.The new grenade launcher and missle launchers are also ridiculous to have online also, because they only give noobs a way to get kills without any effort.I bet you like using those things too knives.And I also have to say that the rank is screwed up.But I don't care about rank anymore.It's a game and it's supposed to be fun.And I have mostly enjoyed playing respawn games.

I think that socom 2 is the best game ever made for any console (except the PC). i am very graetful that socom is not on xobx because i personally think xbox is the worst thing to happend to gaming. As for DNSA, i think its amazing. and all the cheaters are so FOCKING GAY they cheat because if they played without the cheats they woould suck horribly. i don't get codebreakers because i think i5t is just gay and the games are more fun playing them legit, not because i can't afford it. i hope i run into a few cheaters because it's the funniest thing ever when a cheater gets killed by a legit player. everytime i run into a god dam cheater i wish i could meet them and just punch them in the face. that is how much i hate those piece of crap good for nothing cheaters that would suck if they were legit.

I dont know I sucked at the first SOCOM for a while and I thought it was killer. I dont know what other people were thinking. SOCOM 2, I thought wasnt as good as people made it out to be, but after the 3rd or 4th mission on single player, it gets to be really good. now I love this game and play online with people, which is greatly improved. I heard someone say that the SEALs carry a riffle, pistol and sub machine gun????? That is one of the dumbest things I have seen said about this game. Every fireteam in the military has one standard weapon, and a pistol, and a knife (and all the crap on your belt). I think zipper did enough research on this game, I like how you are joined by the SAS and Spetznaz, and you can unlock them on the online mode by playing the single player missions. Definatly the best game on PS2, online and offline.

I don't care what you newbs say. Socom II rocks. I have had virtually NO lag playing it, and I am on a cable connection on a LAN and running 3 servers. Socom II has more, better weapons, the AKS-74 is less powerfull..What can I say? It takes SKILL to play this game. So, if you are complaining about the hand grenades shaking the screen, or the recoil, You are just a newb who doesn't know how to play! I would like to see you program a better game!!

Man this game is so much better than the first one..i love how there isnt any cheaters and the selection of guns..there is so much more stuff in this game..but what i hate the most is how people are all sayin this game is horrible..and it is more noob friendly..well i think they are only sayin it sux is becuase they suck at it..i am in the middle of single player on commander difficulty and it is easy it should be more challenging...but what someone said about the hostages and the vips is that they shouldnt just stand there they should be able to move around..the ranking system is really messed up..and the glitch for the hostage and vip extraction is stupid..half of the people i have played with use it...they have like no kills and like 10 deaths but have like over 500 points..that is one thing that really needs to be fixed..the graphics are awesome the aftershock of the flash last longer and is alot more realistic then the first...but i love how you get infrared but it does cut some of the range off of your scope..and i think that all the weapons should be available in all levels..like how the terririst get the mgl launcher when the seals dont get there m4a1 M203 on nightstalker....but all in all it is a reallly good game.but i dont like how they changed the first levels they should have left them exactly the same except for the turrets the added..those are actually a fun part in the game...i like how there is respawn and glad that it doesnt go towards your ranking.....

Good job on the game Zipper. I Found both online, and single player to be a great joy to play. I must jump on the bandwagon and say this: "STFU babies". The game is more realistic then the first, I mean come on, you're not going to kill me with an AK to the arm for real are you? Well, maybe, but not right away, the way most seem to expect in the game. I might bleed to death before I die from the shot itself. Off that boat now. This game is great, the controls took a bit to get used to, however the double push, or the hold to switch fire rate is great, I'm not a leet player by any stretch of the imagination, in fact to be blunt, I suck at the game. I need to work on my aim again, as the recoil factor is a bit more realistic, again for those who complain, you try shooting an AK and see how bad your RL recoil is....hard to shoot in a straight line isn't it? The graphics rocks, all in all game play rocks, you actually have to complete missions online in order to attain higher points, as oppossed to the first where you can just run and gun, which was no fun. If I want to run and gun, I'll go back to playing doom on my PC. If I want a game that takes skill, a sense of strategy, and overall SKILL (again which I don't have yet lol). Grow up people, stop complaining and learn to shoot a gun, learn to dodge bullets, this ain't the matrix where you can poof your way out of harms way, this is a game, enjoy it, stop crying, and turn the power button off....nuff said, GAME ROCKS!

interestingly i find it enjoying to sit down and slit some throats and pump some terrorists full of lead and shrapnel after a hard day of getting pissed off at idiots...it's very satisfying...plus you get to see it in intense graphical imaging... but anyways this is probably the most realistic combat simulation available to civilan gamers i personally love the game... i couldn't give a $h!t about the weapons as long as i have my three baisic weapons... a Sniper Rifle...an MP-Hk5... an m4a1 and an M60E3 :) ... never leave home without them... the game is rather easy but after you beat it it's even more fun to see how fast you can do it ...or how perfectly you can do it ...personally i run through killing everything in sight even a few civilians that happen to cross the line of fire...but after i find out how to do everything then i go through and get 100's :) i wonder how many people have actully gotten 100 every time... and i know most people are liars so i won't belive it unless i see a screenshot:)~+"Say Hello To my Little Friend" Antonio "Scarface" Montana+~ ,'=- >BaNg<

MM , I think that had to be the dumbest friggin review I've read yet . First of all you must really suck at socom if you can't seem to kill anyone with a shotgun . If you wanna talk about realism than try this . An M-4 srevice rifle fires 5.56mm high velocity perjectile witch wouldn't penetrate a kevlar flack jacket that can withstand up to a 7.62mm round . I know this because the Marine Corps. recently adopted this flack jacket along with its new molly system . If it's penetrability your looking for than try an AK , but its not as accurate as the M-4 . I know socom 1 was a good game , but the game is weak in comparrison to the new Socom 2 . You probably played the game at your little buddies house and because you couldn't handle the new level of skill it required to actually kill someone , you decided to bad mouth it in your simple minded review . If your ever online with socom 2 hit me up so I can slap you around like the Biatch you really are .

Great game. A few things that could be improved like stealth capabilities ,more missions, realler scenarios, and more challenging missions. I beat the game on ensign and lieutenant in 6 hours, thats kind of sad. The makers of Socom could of made it more challenging like the first one, in 2 you can barely even die. Socom 2 is a good game but has room for improvement and should be re-made by next year.

This game is awesome except for a couple of problems online. Serious lag is one as well as the fact that they made it noob friendly. I can sneak up behind someone shoot them then they can still turn around and shoot me as opposed to SOCOM I where they would die. Other then that this is the best multi player game behind Goldeneye of course. Its worth buying for both online play as well as offline. You cant really lose and if your complaining about the extra health that much it just means you suck.

I think the game is pretty darn good. I have been a video game nut for over 20 years. Socom 1 and 2 are by far the 2 best games I've ever played. I am on almost every night. I think 2 is very realistic. A lot of us are complaining about how hard it is to kill people, but if you think about it, how nervous do you think you'd be if this were in fact real life? I bet you wouldn't be able to hold a gun very steady. So if you think about it like that, it's pretty realistic.....Ok, that's enough...I'm going back to Socom 2 !!!!
