W00t! This is what we've all been waiting for. It has everything plus extras. The game has all the old maps... plus they kinda made em different (abandoned sucks now cuz it's dark)and the new ones. 1 player is actually fun now, and now there is a new type of mode where you can respawn. Buy it now!

Graphics are cool, and you get a lot more space to run around in and more weapons (Brazil level is awesome)...but too many bugs during play. Socom 2 is way way way to easy. Seal team gets in way in stairwells. Game is way too short. It seems like a rush job to me.

I think the game is pretty darn good. I have been a video game nut for over 20 years. Socom 1 and 2 are by far the 2 best games I've ever played. I am on almost every night. I think 2 is very realistic. A lot of us are complaining about how hard it is to kill people, but if you think about it, how nervous do you think you'd be if this were in fact real life? I bet you wouldn't be able to hold a gun very steady. So if you think about it like that, it's pretty realistic.....Ok, that's enough...I'm going back to Socom 2 !!!!

wow this is like the best game i have ever played i cant get off it and when the servers are down i play 1 player it is by far the best game my favorite level is foxhunt also cause it is huge and great for sniping and even though im not a good sniper i still love doing it and if anyone wants to know how to keep your rank close to where it is even if you dont do that well and if you do do good then it will go up is be on terrorist alot because they have the worst guns so if you are terrorist and you do bad they dont blame you and a good gun to use fpor terrorist is the m60e3 or something like that and a good gun for the seals is the ra-14 trust me the ra-14 is really accurate and is strong. If you dont think so then just email me at andy324< remove me > at bellsouth.net because i would like to know any better guns so i can use them because so far those are the guns i use and i am a captain at like 2000 and my brother is in the BS clan that is ranked 8 for clan rankings and he was the one who told me but if you think you are better then him then please tell me thanks

Socom is a really good game except for the cheaters. Then, i heard about socom2. Peeps were saying they're NO cheaters in it.
So,i got it of course!It was cool cause it had all of socom maps plus twice as more. SO i stopped playin socom 1 cause it had all the maps in it.
Then, after that i saw a cheater that was invisible!
So they cheaters after all.Also, sometimes when u die it says that ur still alive once and a while.And gay people vote u off cause they think ur cheatin.And the rank thing is screwed so don't even worrie about it.
its so GAY!!! if u abort a mission or someone kicks u from a game ur rank gets dropped
And i was at rank 20,000 then i got kicked from a game and it dropped me 1,000!
that really sucked big time!
anyway if u ever see me online we could kick some F + U + C + K + I + N butt dude. My s/n's SNIPERCELL!!!

what words can some this game up, i Dont think there are any. This game is highly addictive and was not a let down as most Sequals tend to be.
Single Player: You take on the roll of the Ex Bravo Squad teamate Specter From "SOCOM: U.S Navy Seals" and Lead 3 other team mates through 12 Challenging Levels. Your team Consists of 2 Parts the "Able" team which you are part of and the "Bravo" Team which ranges from The British "SAS" and Two of the (thickest) nah jus kidding best U.S Navy Seals. People diss the way That Single player is...wether its too Hard or Too Easy. This is how to make it easy. Use the Voice Commands to tell the Bravo Team to do things. If there is an Enemy Place your Crosshaire on him and say "Bravo Attack Crosshaire" That way u can sit back and Twiddle your thumbs whilste Your team Mates do the work, But be warned to help them out because they can get you into Sticky Situations. Another thing that can make it hard is yor ammo Supplies. Like i said use Bravo to attack Enemies... Or Sneek up on your Enemie and Stab him smack him with The Butt of the Rifle of Jus kill them with a handgun... Easy Peesiiee :-D
Online: Meet up to 15 other players in a mass war on 22 Different Terrains. There is nothing really to fault on The makers side of the Game... But the odd person with a poor connection Can ruin the game slightly when the lagg causes people to walk through walls. The only other Downside is the Ranking System. It can Pee you off but it is still fun When you get your Captains Wings.
I really do recomend this to any age group but if you cant be mature online then dont bother... You wont get anywere and peopel Will boot you out of them game. If you see me online my Name is [T3R] Sharp UK wud b nice to have a game with you.

Read what you wrote... you hope it's broken soon, as in by SOMEONE ELSE. You will just use the codes *THEY* generate... so pretty much you have no skill playing real, and you have no skills as a "cheater" since you DID NOT BRAKE THE CODES YOURSELF. Pretty much you just said you have *no* skills period. Sorry dude.
Theres alot of people that dont like the game and thats only because they probley FOCKEN SUCK AT IT, so of course there gonna put the game down, am and also a part time cheaters, i hope the codes will be broken soon and they will be broken theres notihn socom can do to stop it
and another thing it takes more skill to cheat than it does to play normal, it takes hackers the even break socoms codes with is a hell of alot harder than it sounds, soo all i cant say is haha ur a newb. =)

THIS GAME IS THE BEST PS2 GAME EVER (online) i think adding michal clarck duncan was a big bonus kuz everyone wanted the game kuz they new he was in it... anywayz online couldnt be better (i was gettin sick of cb in socom 1) DNAS is awsome sony is smart to put that $#< remove me > at ! out... socom is overall the best ps2 online game of all time and hopefully will remain the best of the best... aside from the bitches that do nothing but cheat to get there rank WAY up its a good game i enjoy the challenge of gettin a high score altough in online its freakin impossible to get over 5000 so w/e if you guys want a game go to [uK] in canada east 2 we rule and we got a second roster so come join us now!!!

the health bar sucks. i hate it. the noodie cannon and the nood tube suck. they are for the noobs who suck at socom 2. the cheating also sucks. people are sellin codes and chetas on ebay for like 10 bucks and they email the gameshark codes and other stuff to you. my name on socom 2 is /ARCHANGEL\ if anyone wants a beating one on one. overall this game is alright but it could be alot better. so if the people that are going to make socom 3 read this get rid of the recoil, gameshark codes, glitches and all of the other cheating things that you can do because if i buy socom 3 and its like socom2 with all of the codes and stuff like that iwon't buy any other socom game or any other game that zipper interactive makes. oh ya almost forgot get rig of the life bar.

This game is way better than the first one. it has way better weapons,teammates,ect.If you like a good game this is the game for you,mycomments is they really put some work in this game and they have out done them selves this time I mean better graphics,differnt teammates,hey I love this game .Like I said if you like good teamwork,weapons,stealth/folige you should really buy this game.n both games/soccom1&2 you get headsets normanly other games dont have it/it is a really big parts of the games you can talk to your teammates and they actully listen.ive got to go but before i go let me tell you this is a really good game I think ill go play it right now.bye

Ive had socom for about a year and its great. Socom 2 is ten times betta. Rocket launchers, tanks and 552 silenced. Online is going to be the greatest. U can c whose talkin, theres something called dna so no one can cheat. Dont forget that there are 20 new commands in one player and in online there are 10 new maps and 10 maps from socom. Also there are 10 new guns. LOOK FOR my screename HONKIDAS. BEST GAME EVER!!!!!!!!!

If you dont have this game, please go out and buy one. Whether or not you play it online or off, this game is a must have! The online is outstanding, keep you off your feet, watch out behind you, LOOK out - there is a rocket launcher coming right at you, FUN. You will most likely become a SOCOMOHOLIC, good luck and have a great socom experience.

well it is a good game but there are a few things that i don't like 1. it you are walking real slow the dude dose not stop moving that get as annoying as heck there is nothing like trying to sneek up on your enemyes then you go to snipe and the guy dose not stop walking 2. the game freezes a awful lot like going inbetween menus and just stops loading god that is annoying and also the load times are bad it takes forever to load the main menue i like the lan feature though that is cool and my last petpeve the voice commands i like the thing where the mic lights up on the bottom of the screen but i noticed no matter how ever i say some commands they never regester like team move to crosshairs ect they are like what are you talking about and a little question about socom 1 because i stoppted playing the single player missions when i got multiplay anyway what happened to boomer did he die just wondering because that was my nickname

I just got it and im almost to beating it!!!!! im on the jungal level.right now and man it is alittle hard how you got to take out the plane and stuff but im in the lab right now and like 50 Dudes are down there My favorit weapone is the AR Scileced and my favorit stans is on all fours and i love to take pepole out in the head on shot one kill!!

Ok listen, usually in reviews there is a ton of mixed opinions and people don't fully trust them because their opinion may not match the ones which the reviews show. Now what I am here to say is not about how unbelievable Socom II is, but that you have to understand that although you may think your opinion of the game may be different than the majority, this is a game that you just have to spend your money on and hope that all the hype was right. Socom II is absolutely amazing and great to all types of gamers. I think there is a good reason that everynight I see about 20,000 people online playing it. Please, if you are thinking about buying this game, just take a chance and spend the money, but be prepared to have a lot less free time while you blow hours on this great game.

Socom II is terrible.The creators screwed up alot on this game.The controls are awful.They were soooo much better in the first one.The new health system is horrible.It just gives people who suck at the game more of a chance to avoid death.And I also dislike the new recoil affect.It makes it difficult to shoot.And you can consider yourself lucky to get any kills with this recoil thing going on.Another thing that makes this game worse is the new way that players are ranked compared to everyone else in a game and everyone else online.In a game,it is stupid that a guy with half the kills of another teammate can have more points.And it is rediculous that one minute I can be ranked in the 60,000s and the next minute I'm ranked in the 18,000s.And it works the other way around too.And how they redid some of the levels sucks.They ruined Abandoned by making it pitch black,and they screwed up Rats Nest by blocking up some of the paths and making it impossible to play without night vision.In these levels,and a few others, you're pretty much wandering around until you bump into an opponent.
But the game wasn't a total loss.I did enjoy playing some of the levels.I did,however,find that some of them were way too big,like Fox Hunt.And the graphics were much better than before.I also like that they added a option to do a victory dance.It's also great that you can talk in the lobby now.That way you can make sure your message isn't blocked out by flooded text.And most importantly NO CHEATERS!That was the most important thing to me.If there was cheaters I would give up on this game and go back to the first Socom game.

TOO MUCH LAG!!!!! And it seems almost impossible to kill people sometimes. Sometimes i get so mad at how crappy it runs i almost want to put the first socom in and deal with the cheaters... at least some of them were able to die. while it's cool that there are no cheaters (yet), just make sure you kepp moving so the lag doesn't catch up.

This game is great but the reason its an 8 is because there is way to many bugs/glitches in the game, espically online. I think zipper should have held this game back a month or two and try and fix the bugs left in the game. Other than that this game has great graphics and a "im actaully in the game" feeling.

This game rocks it combines everything U ever need. The weapons the locations especially the clan factor create ur own elite team of online players . U can go crazy and run and shoot everything insight or you can lay in the bushes with a sniper rifle equipped with an infrared scope that can see the enemy the distance of 2 football fields away. The online play is the best U never get bored I play at least 6hrs a day and on my days off from work forget who needs regular TV, when U got Socom 2 Go get it. After U get some pratice challenge me VIPER1 if U dare.
