Semper Fi37855

Gunny from Niles, IL,USA says (3/Jan/2004):
This game is AWESOME!!! I like the fact that it is the first MOH Game With the Marine Corps. Killen Japs and nips Are fun.
They even throw in some krauts to kill on the Hotel mission!!!
If you don't like this game You are one heck of a sailor lover!!! I don't know anyone who is a sailor lover and really, I DON'T WANT TO!!! I'm telling you this game is just amazing, especially for a person who loves the Marine Corps!!! (ME)
If they make another Medal of Honor game, I will be the first one to buy it. For all the people who enjoy this game. Semper Fi - that means always faithful in the Marine Corps.

One top notch game36403

Kierhien Lochrie from London, England says (30/Nov/2003):
this is the best medal of honor game i have played, the grafics are class and the game play action is scond to none. the game is harder than Frontline but that only adds to the tention during the game and it is a must buy game. it can also be play on the net and the multiplayer makes up for it not being in Frontline.

Exciting and great fun!!!!37023

Randy from Akron, MI U.S.A. says (16/Dec/2003):
Who says short can't be sweet. Sure it might have been nice to have a longer game for fifty bucks. I still enjoyed shooting the other bad guys for a chance. Hitler was'nt the only evil guy during the war. I liked the other MOH titles, but this was new, fresh and cool. My hat is off to you guys. Great game. To the wimps that thought it was breeze, try it without codes on the difficult setting. Maybe it'll be a little tougher to lolly-gag though the missions. The graphics on this one I thought were outstanding. Maybe it was'nt quite historically correct, but hey we would'nt know that unless we crack a book on the subject. Overall the makers are on the right track with this one. I await the next one, hopefully they stay in the Asian theater for awhile. A ending with the flag-raising on Mount Suribachi would be a heck of lot better than the slightly lame one we got. But I understand you wanted to leave us wanting more, right?

allirght! lets see the next MOH Game!42696

Drew from Indiana,Warsaw says (29/Sep/2004):
ok, heres the deal..Riseing sun was sweet but the levels are way to short, there's not enough gun,s,A.I sucked, needs vehicles,Game to short.ok first topic....levels...The levels are ok but for one...Your character should talk....Extend langth of levels. The guns were good but man we need alot more guns...i mean alot ok the B.A.R is a clasic so is the M1 Garand so they were ok...but the model 12 trench gun has to go..i mean gunny kept that shot gun the whole game......dont have them keep the same gun through the whole game....and you should put like an ammo depo so like through out the levels you can get new guns....Oh,Dont forget Put in Lugers! Next..vehicles...really all that E.A put in was turrent to machine gun to turret to machin gun to tail gun of a bomber...come on ppl put in some vehicles you can be in and drive or be in a vehicle and shoot I mean a vehicle really that you can control.the A.I was ok but it was like.....your hideing somewhere and they come out of no where and seem like they know where your at and start shooting at you...man thats crap....and the american team...man they just run back and forth, back and forth,And when gunny was in the tank and was at the road block at the end of his ride a jap came up to me i was next to the tank and the tank didnt shoot....gunny didnt shoot....so that was dumb....and in multi player when you get into the tank you use a machine gun......Why ppl Why? Do you not want us to use a tank turret? well any ways.....I think you guys should add a boot camp that would rock.....with the basic training stuff like that and be able to call air strikes Kinda like...Full spectrum warrior But still MOH like.....and the game needs to be a lot longer! you need fortresses.....diffrent tanks and plains...Kick *** sounds and music ( Yet riseing sun and front line music rocked that a 100% man). And maby....NOT CHEATING ( meaning-I was shooting the japs that went after your guys brother and they wouldent die) better cheat codes and lotz of movies I love those history movies. that all ppl thx for reading ps. I Liked that thing on frontline "A good day to dye" do alot more stuff like that the slow-mo part was cool!

My opinion of the actual game not value38985

MUFC from Manchester, England, UK says (12/Feb/2004):
The game is too short ok fair enough more levels are required. However for the 9 missions you get (7 two player campaign missions) this game is awesome it is very challenging and quite addictive its only worth the money if you don't mind the shortness. There is a wide range of weapons available graphics are cool they are not really great but they are certainly not rubbish. The multiplayer skirmishes are great as well its there if you want a shoot out with your mates or just want to kill americans or japs you can have a free for all or team deathmatch.

The actual game with all the missions and multiplayer options is definetely a ten out of ten its a good game but if you are only going to buy it then complete it and then never gonna play it again then its definetely not worth your money but if you go on multiplayer a lot and try missions over and over again on a different difficulty then this is worth £40.00.

Can't wait for the next one

The Best One so Far.36237

Joe from Boston, USA says (28/Nov/2003):
I've been looking forward to playing this and I was not dissapointed. The first level, attack on Pearl Harbor, was an awesome introduction to the game. Shooting down Jap zeros and torpedo planes. The background was just as good. Smoke billowing in the background. It was awesome. This continues through most of the game. Great action, great detail especially with the jungles. The fire in this game was exceptionally good. The historic value of this game was also very good, all the scenarios (except the last one I think) were based on real WWII battles or operations. The one down point of this game was how repetetive it got. I know this is a shooting game but the game could have involved you driving a tank, flying a plane, or more chances behind large guns like in the first level. Overall this is a great game and a great addition to the MOH family.

The Pacific Campaign: In 4 hours?36612

A gamer says (5/Dec/2003):
Something forboding occured as soon as I got my greedy hands on this highly awaited game. The MOH series would now have multiplayer and on-line additions to the always fantastic single player capbusters, but low and behold, only one disc in the case. Yikes, don't tell me they shortened the single player campaign to accommodate the on-line action? Something tells me this was a weekend rental. Nine missions later I was done, discovering it took only 4 hours, as opposed to the 19 missions and 9 hours it took for Frontline. Not only that, but you are now required to complete Bonus objectives that you can only discover by accident, in addition, Accuracy of 80%(?) or more is required to get a medal. Not only that, you also have to take under 50 hits a level to get a medal as well. Considering aiming is far more unresponsive and haphazard than it's ever been with the series, it makes the brutal challenge annoying for even hardcore gamers! The enemy AI is actually not as dumb as others have criticized, in fact, I was almost glad there was an occasional dope now and then considering the aiming woes here. Despite all this, somehow the sight of planes tanks and enemies getting walloped was enough to make it an enjoyable 4hours so I recommend it, especially for the ones that spent the small fortune on netplay gadgets. Be warned, this game can last a week if you don't navigate through the jungle missions well. If Pistol Pete and Midnight Raid were real missions we would have had recon-maps wouldn't we??

tooooooo short37747

lee from london england says (1/Jan/2004):
the graffics are acceptable, the playability is very good, barring the fact that sometimes you miss your enemy even when your cross hair is clearly bang on target, the sound is top notch,i love the multi player..nice touch, but completing the game in 1 day is a joke and i aint happy..i was expecting a massive adventure and was very disapointed when i completed it.also the levels are tiny, after playing halo this game seems as big as 1 halo level!and im getting really fed up with the fact that i cant obtain a medal..sort it out e.a!

Nice, but to short - How do you save the brother?37747

A gamer from Rochester, NY says (2/Jan/2004):
I thought the script was pretty good, but definitely not long enough. I know there could be so much more to the story line. I don't mind using the PS2 controller, although it did take a little time to get used to its touchiness. Once you get used to the set up it becomes much easier to pick off the enemy. What happens if I collect all of the bonus documents or what have you on each level? Is this part of receiving a medal? Is there a way to save the brother or will there be a Rising Sun Part 2?

One of the Greatest game I ever played36502

Chad from Gig Harbor, Washington US of A says (2/Dec/2003):
The opening sceen was pefect, even better that the D day opening in the first one. Foe those of you that have 5.1 surround sound you know what I'm talking about when I say the sound is great. For those that don't... Get it! It's the only why to play this game. Multi-player far better than any game made. Great online mode also. The only reason I didn't give this game a ten is because of the lack of levels. The ones that are in the game long and great, but it would of been nicer if there were more.

The game was OK but left out one Key battle36966

Dave from Winnipeg, MB, Canada says (14/Dec/2003):
The middle levels are the best ones, Midnight raid, pistol pete and the one in Burma. I think they missed a big battle , after the aircraft carrier they should have included the Sands of Iwo jima. What better way to end the game than the raising of the flag on the island at the end. That is easily one of the most famous and patriotic symbols from the battle of the pacific in WWII. The game plays on the significance of battles and history through out, why leave it out? A suggestion for future versions, include it the game play would really solid, beach landing, undergroud caves, pillboxes, and a bunker with the command group at the end.

Good but not great35286

Triebel711 from Ames,IA says (13/Nov/2003):
I like the game, its new feature are a lot of fun, co-op, and mulity play, however I didn't find the game challenging enough. It took me two weeks (16 hours) play time to beat Frontline but this one took me less than 4. I think the enemy is much harder to see, however the why in which they hide is the same as Frontline. The enemy get very preditable towards the end of the game.

nothin better than bustin nips!35407

greg from Austin, TX says (15/Nov/2003):
This game is by far the best MOH to date! The levels are longer, graphics kick a**, sounds kick a**, and shooting down zeros, it doesn't get better than that! The only thing that bothered me was there was no grenade cook (booooo!) And I don't know how the heck I am going to get all of the gold stars...The best part is not having 5 minute missions like Frontline!

Well done but way too short35777

A gamer says (21/Nov/2003):
First let me say that, in most aspects, this is a great war shooter. Enemy tactics are historically acurate. I honestly did not know how they would top the D-Day landing in the last game, but being at Pearl Harbor was equally intense and terrifying.
My complaint is that the game was way too short. I worked through the game and was very surprised after finishing a particular mission that I had beaten the game. I felt cheated. There should have been at least 2-3 more levels of gameplay. I also feel that gamers should at least have a sense that they are on the last mission of the game. After all of that work there should be a sense of climax.
Overall this was a great game and I will continue to play the series. Hopefully these problems will be corrected in the next game.

Doesn’t measure up to the “Medal of Honor Legacy”36740

A gamer from Virginia says (8/Dec/2003):
This game has very good improvements over the previous “Medal of Honor” Chapter BUT failed to draw you in to the game… The ending to this game was unsatisfying and left the player with one question on his/her mind (Is that it?) The game is too short and unchallenging, and down right boring.

IT WAS OK but36818

kyle -the game freak! from calgary says (10/Dec/2003):
Not even close is good is i thought it would be and the 2 players was pretty cool i loved how u both can be on the same team and beat levels together. The graffics where not bad and the gamepaly was kinda not as good as i was hoping. My favorrie medal of honor is allied assault because you get to paly ommha beach and the missions where GREAT.The guns in this game where pretty awsome. But u didnt get enough team members why do they call it war if u hardly even got team members thats why i loved medal of honor allied assault because in ommha beach u had milloins of team members.

MP5 good game37961

A gamer from NEW JERSEY USA says (5/Jan/2004):
when i first started the game it rocked!! the Pearl harbor missions were really relistic. The jungle levels are good the weapons are good (the sten MK 2 and the thompson). The sound is good but those japs get REAL annoying after awhile. The online broad band and the multiplayer make up for the amount of levels. I dont understand how people complain about how easy it is when the can change the difficulty! the graphics are improved and i like how there are now cinamas. This game is great but i prefer the last MOH because the amount of levels in it. but other wise rising sun is dominate.

Medal of Honour Rising sun: Best game i've played39662

Mark from England,Cheshire says (12/Mar/2004):
  This game was fantastic!!!!
i found the graphics amazing and the sound was so clear you could hear every detail.
The story line was amazing aswell, each mission never really had anything similar to the last in most cases.
1 thing i didn't like about this game was the fact that on the 2 player mission mode you had less missions than on the one player mode.i also found the multyplayer option lacking in detail i found that once i had played one multyplayer game didn't want to do it again.despite this i found the game very addictive, every time i got off the game i wanted to go on it again.the controls for the game are a bit complex and hard to understand at first but this is just a small hurdle to overcome.
the game was good fun as the missions were very long which kept your attention for a very long time. out of a rating of 10 for fun the game desrves a 9.the weapons on some missions were a bit difficult to control, these were mainly machine guns and shotguns but this just added to the fun.the game was alittle pricy at £45 but all newish games are like this.
MY OPINION IS THAT THIS IS ONE OF MY MOST FAVOURITE GAMES EVER!!!!!!!!!

GREAT BUT THE GAME HAS A PROBLEM!40965

Eugene from USA says (21/May/2004):
The game is cool yet they should put more missions, action, enemies, sound effects, and weapons.I do like the multi-player and the cheats though. THE ENDING should be like Medal of honor frontline's ending and the battles should be like Call of Duty. They should make the japanese, germans and the allies tougher and smarter like the real people during ww2.I wish they could put Iwo Jima in this game,it may be better and the levels seems real. The sound effects aren't exciting and the enemies who do banzia should run faster except the officers with swords.

Good...Very Good; but not Great.36262

Aaron from Millbrook, USA says (28/Nov/2003):
Graphics are awesome. Gameplay is very well done, combat action is very realistic. I really love the music and some of the speacial features available after each misson. Kinda gives you a feeling of being there. As great as everything was the game is way to short. All of a sudden, you finish a misson and... its over. What the heck!?! Not to mention the battle at Pearl Harbor is no where near as realistic as D-Day was. That was very disappointing. Overall this game was very well done with graphics, gameplay, sound, & historical facts. This game does an exellent job of bringing the War for the Pacific into some kind of perspective for the new generations of gamers. Let us never forget the sacrifices of those who have served their country for the freedom we have today.
