Ben Affleck himself coldn't have have made this game any worse!36937

Cameron C. from Coeur D'Alene, Idaho says (14/Dec/2003):
Okay... so um... maybe its time to throw in the towell for ol' MOH? Aside from the obvious story based distractions, astutely pointed out by Grey down there concerning the historical issues, I think this game had one redeeming quality: Its music. So, I'll give it a two because of its music. And, because I'm a girl and thus inclined to be a bit more sensitive than the next person. Anyway, as I was saying. I've seen (or heard, rather) better voice acting on insurance commercials. Who did they cast? A highschool drama class room? Psh... Anyway, the gameplay itself was repetitive and dull... The storyline had really no presence or voice. No connection what-so-ever to the lead character... what was his name... Joe? Please. And to all you poor, brainless fools who actually enjoyed this game... Its people like you that encourage these companies and make them think that its okay to publish trash like this!!! Why am I here?! What am I doing? This is all your fault! (points at random person.)

The game was OK but left out one Key battle36966

Dave from Winnipeg, MB, Canada says (14/Dec/2003):
The middle levels are the best ones, Midnight raid, pistol pete and the one in Burma. I think they missed a big battle , after the aircraft carrier they should have included the Sands of Iwo jima. What better way to end the game than the raising of the flag on the island at the end. That is easily one of the most famous and patriotic symbols from the battle of the pacific in WWII. The game plays on the significance of battles and history through out, why leave it out? A suggestion for future versions, include it the game play would really solid, beach landing, undergroud caves, pillboxes, and a bunker with the command group at the end.

Dreamworks' Fettish with historical innacuracy continues...36923

Grey from Prescott, AZ says (13/Dec/2003):
Whatever real feeling the previous games gave you (as far as 1940's warfare is concerned) is out to lunch for this game. The missions just suck, and the pearl harbor mission doesn't make much sense. Only what... 27 planes were actually shot down in the battle? I think I shot down 60 the first time through. If it were that easy, the pacific theatre wouldn't have required the efforts of half the US fleet. And maybe I'm just baised... but I took a level of satisfaction in blasting Nazi's to hell. But... (sigh) who really cares?

Sucked - MOH crew, stay in Europe!!36933

Greg Faris from Arnhem, CA.... says (13/Dec/2003):
The screenshots didn't look promising when I first laid eyes on them....and after playing this new installment, It's as bad as I thought it would be. There is NOTHING here that draws you into the game.

There is something "magical" about shooting Nazis in "WW2 Europa"....with authentic weapons and sound. Long live the first three MOH titles. (Though Underground was WEAK!)

MOH team? Yoo-hoo? STAY IN EUROPE! You have now tried the Pacific, and you can see the results. There is a reason why "Private Ryan" and "Band of Brothers" were well received.....and "Wind Talkers" SUCKED!

*zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I DON'T GET IT!!!36803

Eugene from L.A.,California,USA says (10/Dec/2003):
The game is good but the levels are too short about 6 days to finish this game. The medal of honor the frontline is way better and more realistic then this game.I wish they could do more levels next time. What I like about this game that you could shoot planes down. The last level the brother ain't been saved and I can't get a medal when I have no hits. I bet next time I hope they do it realistic and finish the war.

Fine Game36817

Mike from Detroit, USA says (10/Dec/2003):
Excellent game play. Having to hit targets repeatedly adds to the difficulty, but when set on easy, too many health items lying around. Great score (music) and exciting jungle sequences. My only complain is it is too short. The levels were fun and changed up the scene, from jungle islands to cities to fortresses to the air craft carrier. Secrets were real tough to find and it is awful tough to get medals and the bonuses unless you stumble over them. I had a ball playing, but it ended too quickly. The sound was the best part of the game. The music captured the flavor of the particular level and kept me interested. The weapon sounds were realistic, and running across areas, hearing Japanese weapons vs Australian weapons motivated me. The wide open areas and multi-directionality allows the player to use more expansive tactics than running up and clubbing the enemies. AI wasn't the best, but it is more fun to sneak up behind the enemy or use a flanking movement. You can blindside enemies in the confusion of combat. Graphics were also great. The jungle scenes were incredible and the haze and fog added realism. The game is a lot of fun, especially after you've played through once, and are out looking for the secrets and hidden items. It could have been longer, tough.

IT WAS OK but36818

kyle -the game freak! from calgary says (10/Dec/2003):
Not even close is good is i thought it would be and the 2 players was pretty cool i loved how u both can be on the same team and beat levels together. The graffics where not bad and the gamepaly was kinda not as good as i was hoping. My favorrie medal of honor is allied assault because you get to paly ommha beach and the missions where GREAT.The guns in this game where pretty awsome. But u didnt get enough team members why do they call it war if u hardly even got team members thats why i loved medal of honor allied assault because in ommha beach u had milloins of team members.

Doesn’t measure up to the “Medal of Honor Legacy”36740

A gamer from Virginia says (8/Dec/2003):
This game has very good improvements over the previous “Medal of Honor” Chapter BUT failed to draw you in to the game… The ending to this game was unsatisfying and left the player with one question on his/her mind (Is that it?) The game is too short and unchallenging, and down right boring.

Not Good36686

BlitzKrieg from Danbury,CT says (7/Dec/2003):
It's obvious the MOH staff was downsized, drunk or high when they produced this game! The game seemed so linear, even though some of the levels seemingly had 8 different ways to go or try. Hidden and secret items that can only be found by accident, long but repetitive levels, sometimes I would shoot an unarmored soldier at least 10 times in the chest, other times it would only take 1 or 2, melee instant kill?!!, kamikaze? HAH!!! I blitzed enemy targets more than they...I could go on and on about the flaws in the game. A lot of games have flaws, but the good ones have something to overpower their flaws and make you forget about them or accept them, THIS GAME DOES NOT!!! I expected more from a game with a great history such as this title...BOOOOOOOO!!!!!

4 hours later and i'm DONE???36725

A gamer from Seoul Korea says (7/Dec/2003):
I have been waiting for a year for this game to hit the market only to find that after a few hours of playing the wait is over. I sink the ship he tells me its time to find my brother but the game is done. It just ends, the credit roll and you are left checking the internet to find out if its just you or is everyone finding out that this game sucks? for 50.00 i would expect a little more then a few hours of gaming. Rent this game and save your 50.00 for another christmas gift.

Way too short36672

Rob Denholm from Liverpool, UK says (6/Dec/2003):
Title says it all really. I've never played MOH games before so I had nothing really to compare this game to, it started out really well with a great opening sequence that gets you straight into the action. The two person campaign was going enjoyable until...the game just ended, didn't even think I was anywhere near the end. It's a huge let down, took us a little longer than 4 hrs but not by much and that's pretty lame...4 hrs to complete the Pacific part of WWII... and I'm a rookie!

If the game had been longer then I think it would have hit the nail right on the head, unfortunatly it doesn't it leaves you feeling quite staggered at just how badly a game can end. Shame.

P.S. What happened to the guy's brother? The sis just stopped talking about him after she shacked up with his buddy. Heartless...

The Pacific Campaign: In 4 hours?36612

A gamer says (5/Dec/2003):
Something forboding occured as soon as I got my greedy hands on this highly awaited game. The MOH series would now have multiplayer and on-line additions to the always fantastic single player capbusters, but low and behold, only one disc in the case. Yikes, don't tell me they shortened the single player campaign to accommodate the on-line action? Something tells me this was a weekend rental. Nine missions later I was done, discovering it took only 4 hours, as opposed to the 19 missions and 9 hours it took for Frontline. Not only that, but you are now required to complete Bonus objectives that you can only discover by accident, in addition, Accuracy of 80%(?) or more is required to get a medal. Not only that, you also have to take under 50 hits a level to get a medal as well. Considering aiming is far more unresponsive and haphazard than it's ever been with the series, it makes the brutal challenge annoying for even hardcore gamers! The enemy AI is actually not as dumb as others have criticized, in fact, I was almost glad there was an occasional dope now and then considering the aiming woes here. Despite all this, somehow the sight of planes tanks and enemies getting walloped was enough to make it an enjoyable 4hours so I recommend it, especially for the ones that spent the small fortune on netplay gadgets. Be warned, this game can last a week if you don't navigate through the jungle missions well. If Pistol Pete and Midnight Raid were real missions we would have had recon-maps wouldn't we??

What they missed36487

Yo Diggs from St. Charles, Illinois, USA says (2/Dec/2003):
You guys who say this game rules have obviously never played Day of Defeat. That is the best WW2 shooter to date. This game could learn much from that game. The only two guns that looked realistic were the garand and the springfield. All the others looked like crap. This game was decent, honestly much better than the others, however replay value is at a loss. The game needs more open environments, let the player go wherever they want, and it needs to be more realistic. This game's background, with gameplay like DOD and Ghost Recon would be the best game around. Maybe next time...yeah right!

One of the Greatest game I ever played36502

Chad from Gig Harbor, Washington US of A says (2/Dec/2003):
The opening sceen was pefect, even better that the D day opening in the first one. Foe those of you that have 5.1 surround sound you know what I'm talking about when I say the sound is great. For those that don't... Get it! It's the only why to play this game. Multi-player far better than any game made. Great online mode also. The only reason I didn't give this game a ten is because of the lack of levels. The ones that are in the game long and great, but it would of been nicer if there were more.

One top notch game36403

Kierhien Lochrie from London, England says (30/Nov/2003):
this is the best medal of honor game i have played, the grafics are class and the game play action is scond to none. the game is harder than Frontline but that only adds to the tention during the game and it is a must buy game. it can also be play on the net and the multiplayer makes up for it not being in Frontline.

Short but somewhat satisfying36314

N8Dogg from Indiana, USA says (29/Nov/2003):
The game was alright when I started out, however after the carrier mission I was mad. I mean the game was so short. Only 4 hours to play i mean come on. However I do expect another since they are talking about his brother at the end. I just wish it would have been this game and not a whole new one.

The Best One so Far.36237

Joe from Boston, USA says (28/Nov/2003):
I've been looking forward to playing this and I was not dissapointed. The first level, attack on Pearl Harbor, was an awesome introduction to the game. Shooting down Jap zeros and torpedo planes. The background was just as good. Smoke billowing in the background. It was awesome. This continues through most of the game. Great action, great detail especially with the jungles. The fire in this game was exceptionally good. The historic value of this game was also very good, all the scenarios (except the last one I think) were based on real WWII battles or operations. The one down point of this game was how repetetive it got. I know this is a shooting game but the game could have involved you driving a tank, flying a plane, or more chances behind large guns like in the first level. Overall this is a great game and a great addition to the MOH family.

Good...Very Good; but not Great.36262

Aaron from Millbrook, USA says (28/Nov/2003):
Graphics are awesome. Gameplay is very well done, combat action is very realistic. I really love the music and some of the speacial features available after each misson. Kinda gives you a feeling of being there. As great as everything was the game is way to short. All of a sudden, you finish a misson and... its over. What the heck!?! Not to mention the battle at Pearl Harbor is no where near as realistic as D-Day was. That was very disappointing. Overall this game was very well done with graphics, gameplay, sound, & historical facts. This game does an exellent job of bringing the War for the Pacific into some kind of perspective for the new generations of gamers. Let us never forget the sacrifices of those who have served their country for the freedom we have today.
