I agree with Melissa! I love this game! I didnt think the game could get any better than Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003. The graphics are simply unbelievable and the pro-shop i an outstandingly intense upgrade to the title. This is the first video game I have ever played for a solid 24 hours. If you are looking to buy a video game of this genre, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2004 is the best way to spend you $50! I really hope this review is a help to some of you game seekers. Have fun! Simply marvelous. Any flaw that 2003 had is now nothing but a mere memory. TGW2004 goes above and beyond my expectations w/all new game modes and the intricate addition of the game-face mode. I must add that putting has become more of a golfer's point-of-view rather then the caddy (who at times was way off the mark). Anyway, this game is purely 100% fun. EA games takes another step to bringing us gamers as close to the course as possible!

When a new game comes out you ponder whether or not to buy it and especially a golf game but when i got this game i thought it was brilliant as soon as my machine started to load its super graphics. I mean its a totally fantastic new game with great modes and a great create a player thing also the mutliplayer is out of this world.Everbody is so sterio typical and thinks golf game are boring but not this one ITS BRILLIANT so i say to you go and BUY IT NOW its worth the money just for its replay value BUY IT NOW!!!!!!!!!! 10/10

This Game was the 1st ever Golf Game I purchased ever. I purchased it because it waz reccommended by a friend. It totally rocks me socks. I am totally addicted. A true Tiger Junkie. Upon my first night of purchasing it I played it all night till early morn (13 hours) then collapsed in a heap on the floor. Highly reccomended by Moi... The only person whos opinion matters, apart from all those who 100% agree with me. GOT IT??!!! Then GET IT (Tiger 04)

This is game is pretty much the same as tiger woods 2003. Yes, there are improvements in graphics, and choice of equipment obviously. Its all great but I am 158 percent done with the game and all is left is the pga tournaments to play by myself, i mean how boring is that? Its all the same courses over over over over over over over and guess what? over again. Its a great game, please get it, its addicting as heck in the beginning but it makes you want to wonder why there wasnt an xbox live option at least.

EA Sports has done an amazing job with this game, like the rest of their sports games this year it has been way over the top! That being said...it is too easy! I agree with an earlier written review that Touranemnts arent fun...i usually get bored...I killed every world player...sunday tiger was the only fun match...and i now have 7,000,000 with nothing to spend it on...the game lacks depth. I bought the game 3 weeks ago and my player is now 100% in everything. with every sponsorship listed...and I won the 100% completeion trophy ball...should have more of a World tour...say go around it and each time gets harder???

I just got the game today, and i wanted to try some of the new game mores such as career modes, worl tour, and some new multiplayer features including speed golf. you and your buddy can tee off for some big bucks. You swing and run the whole time and everything is a factor when it comes to points etc. great game, lots of fun, it's a must have. it blows Tiger Woods PGA Tour 2003 out of the water!!!!!

When you load it up for the first time, if you have other EA game data saved on your memory card, it will give you bonus items, extra money, and sponsorship. Also, the create-your-own character option is the best!! The soundtrack is quite different, but after 2003, it's a refreshing change. There is only one thing I would change, and that is to be able to change the controller configuration. The L1 button for the power boost is awful. Over all, this game is far superior to the previous releases of Tiger Woods and any other golf game out there!

I love tiger woods 2004, the gameplay is the same, the graphics a sharper the new modes are great but there may be one flaw. What happened to multiplayer tournements? aside from that 3 friends and i spent hours making ourselves in the game. The game face feature is incredible. The sponsors make the game much more fun.

I like it better then the 2003, but the online tournaments suck because you have to actually play online. I love the fact that you can make your own golfer, its so detailed! I recommend it to all you ppl who play for fun. Its really neat and you can be Cedric the Entertainer and a whole bunch more. EAT ME!

Tiger Woods 2003 was an amazingly deep game with great gameplay and excelent graphics. Tiger Woods 2004 is 3.2 times better than that, with like 40 times more equipment to buy, more players and an amazing new creat a player feature. Excellent graphics as always. and the world tour and real time events are truely special. great game, must buy, it could be priced at 80 dollars and still be worth it, if you love golf you will love this game.

I think Tiger Woods 2004 is definitely one of the most in-depth games ever created. Any of the games drawbacks from previous versions are gone now. The graphics, such as the details of the houses and clubs, are incredible and much sharper than last year. McCord and Faherty(?) are classic, especially with Faherty taking shots at Gary every other sentence. Gameplay hasn't changed much except for the addition of the the PGA Tour Season, which, if you have the patience to play all tournies (I just skipped 3 tournies) can be really exciting. The Real Time Events are a very fun treat. Depending on how you look at it, though, it can be very cool or completely frustrating to have to wait until December 31 on your consoles calender to beat Tiger on his b-day to be able to play the Tour Accuracy TW ball.
Here comes the but...and please let me know if you agree or not. I think alot of us are waiting for a TW game that has 2 things. 1) Augusta! If anyone can pull the strings and get the lincense to replicate that course to a video game, it's Tiger! 2) And this is the biggie...I think we are waiting for a more realistic game, FROM A LENGTH STANDPOINT. When Sunday Tiger can hit his drives 300 or so and John Daly is only getting 310 on his drives (when he finds the fairway lol) then we get up there with all 110% on our create a golfer and hit 340-350 drives with no BOOST (380-390 with it) it makes the game a little unfair. Tournies aren't that fun when you score -75 to -80 for four rounds. I know you don't have to use the BOOST and I tend not to but still 50-60 yards is alot especially when you hit 7 iron from 190 and Tiger hits 4 iron. Kinda hard to hold the hard greens they've made for this game with a 4 don't ya think?
Overall, this game is incredible. This is my 4th purchase into the TW franchise and it gets better each year.

I can't believe I have gotten addicted this bad to a golf game, but It's true. With such realistic gameplay, from the bounce of the ball off of different surfaces, to the Addidas socks for sale in the Pro Shop, the game is an all out battle for money and sponsorships among the greates names in golf. The replicated swings and movements of the players is seamless, and the banter flowing back and forth from Gary McCord and David Feherty is priceless. I only have two qualms about Tiger Woods 2004, and that is not being able to play multi-player in the PGA Tournaments. So if you have roommates, you have to wait individually to play tourny's. Also, where is Mike Weir?? One of the leading money winners on tour, Masters Champion and fellow lefty, why is he not in the game? But anyways, the game is fantastic, I give a 10 out of 10, and recommend it to anyone. Dollar for dollar, you cannot purchase a more self fullfilling, fun, and intense game, period.

Great game. Still, would have liked to know more about the courses (layout, difficulty, tips to play) and the different clubs (which ones give power, which shafts are best for control versus power, etc). Also, it'd be nice if two people could play in a PGA Tour at the same time.

This is an outstanding game for all ages, and the graphics are absolutly amazing. There has also been alot of upgardes in the game such as alot more things to but and especially create your own character that is also amazing. It is a good experient to build up your stats and buy new equipment for your player... ... my favourite game is on arcade mode, where the first player to get it in the hole wins, and after you hit the ball you have to run up the course to hit the ball again until you get it in the hole the first one to get it in wins.
Every one who is interested in golf or not interested in golf this is a MUST--MUST buy game!!!

I cant believe all the people giving this game an ok rating. Then everyone goes and gives hot shots golf 3 in excellent rating. Whats up with that. This game rocks. The controls are not far from excellent. All the courses are so close to real lif its just crazy. I am a avid golfer myself and it feels like your out on the greens when you play this game. Theres nothin to it its just a great game. I love it!

I've been playing PC Golf games since Leaderboard came out in the early/mid 80's. The game has come a long way. Beautiful graphics, smooth fairway scrolling, though the occasional 'underneath' shot with the ball seen from under as opposed to behind or over the ball makes it hard to judge where it will land (and correct with spin). Just earned my 100% complete Trophy Ball last night, I'm halfway done! Hmmm, 100% complete, but only halfway done??? It's all good. The Real Time Events are fun, but I ain't waiting. I've played 4 months worth of RTE's over the past week (just adjust the date in the System Config option when the PS2 starts up). Some of those RTE's can be a real challenge when you've been up way past bedtime and aren't as sharp.
About the only weakness I see in the game play is that certain holes over water with an extreme elevation or drop from tee/fairway to green totally screw up the automated golfer. I've been in a tight match with say, John Daley for 5 holes, we're tied going to the 6th, and he chucks 2 or 3 balls into the water because the green is 200 feet up and the computer picks the totally wrong club. An easy win via him conceding the hole or finally kaming the shot and getting a triple bogey or something.
A sign of a good game is that it occasionally frustrates you because it is difficult to accomplish some objecetives. This game is like that at times, but not all the time. Occasionally, you'll be head-to-head against the game, and your opponent will be knocking 'em stiff, sinking 25 foot putts, chipping in 20 yard wedge shots, even knocking in 120 yard approach shots. Just keeping ya' honest!
The PGA tour can be wearisome, I may try seeing if I can start a few tournaments at once and vary the course between each 18, if that's even possible. Extremely addicitive. The live clips as the game loads are super, my fave is the one with Tiger hitting a skimmer shot off the pond's surface and over to the other side. The game is great, all the bells and whistles make it outstanding.

the only thing i think ea should add is the option to drive a golf cart on the course to get to your ball. how cool would that be? doing 360's on the fairway? just a thought. I also love the fact that you can buy real equipment and clothes. i agree that having 110% in all categories takes a bit away from the realism, but what can you do? i am an avid golfer and i like to work the ball (draw, fade, etc.) and when i do it on the game my friends always ask me why i'm making it harder on myself by trying to draw every drive. i guess it is just the need that i have to make it a more realistic game. does anyone know if draws actually make your drives go further like it does in real life?

much better than 2003, but very a like. at the start of the game when tiger keeps the ball up with his club doing keepy uppies. i think that should be a tiger swing. please change the commentator billy. Sunday tiger was probably the easiest to beat out of the world tour. He needs to become harder. The new pro shop is pretty smart.

I found 2004 alot harder than 2003 because most of the players start out with only large % on everything so in that respect I found it very frustration it was alot esier in 2003 ware you worked your way up the ladder with each aponant just a little bit harder to beat each time but that didn't matter because you could improve your states to match them.
But the game face option is awsome, I managed to creat a player that lookes just like me to the amasment of all my friends when they sea me in the actual game so in that respect it is exelent.
