I loved this game it was sooooo cool. It had great graphics and easier ways to do strong attacks. The first DBZ Budikai was great when it came out first, but this one beat it out by a mile. Now you get to fuse characters that you never had in the first Budikai. You even get to play as each form of Majin buu. Even KID BUU!!!!!! Its also almost the same as the episodes so its a DBZ movie in itself that you get to play and control what happens. Except for what the enemies do. You get training mode to learn how to fuse and learn easier ways to do strong moves such as Kamehameha. If you want the best cheats if you cant get the game done by yourself go to Supercheats or cheatingdome. If I could have given this game a higher score it would have been 35. Another thing is you have a way easier way to get dragonballs. You go to story mode and its like a game board thats my favorite part. You can also enter babadis spaceship, plus thats the only way to get the buus and deborah. Thats my review hope you like it and you should buy this game whenever given the opportunity. I know how to unlock every one, go to the skill list, and every times bulma appears press tringle button ones, and as soon as she sais good bye quickly press L1,L2,R1,R2(holding it) by doing that over and over again, u ll notice that the percentege number will keep increasing, do that till it gets to a hundred. Trust me Im not bull $#< remove me > at !ing, and u also get many new skills like babidi space ship, will be able to unlock all types of skills,like the breakthough and many other things. YO this game is so tight it makes hiphuggers look fat. The fusions kick ass but it kinda sucks that you cant use them in every mode but oh well. The graphics are beautiful and ... well everything is beautiful! I think that the cartoon look does it more justice but i miss the story mode but oh well. They dropped android 19, zarbon, and dodoria but the new roster is better anyways. Babidis spaceship is fun but once you get to 10000 kilis you start over but you'll have absorbtion for buu which is a badass move. and the tournament mode has been enhaced as well this game IS THE best dbz game ever and i look forward to a gbzGT game worth playing. In my closing thoughts i have three words for you... BUY THIS GAME!!!!!

I liked the game very much ..because i love dragonballz z ,i like budokai 2 more than the first budokai , It is more like the real cartoon ,i was trying my best to unlock all the characters,but when I was trying to increase my percentage by clicking the triangle and then L1,L2,R1,R2 all together,but when i reached the 90's i mistakley clicked on the triangle and as a result it took me edit skills where bulma's father appeared . when i went back to see my percentage it returned to the why it where !! So... I have to do this all over again !.
don't click on the triangle button twice please or you will lose your percentage !

This game is cool. the story is not the same it is on tv, but this game rocks. And my tip for you is....
When you are playing the story mode "Dragon World" when you get to Namek beat Vegeta with Goku, and you have unlocked Vegeta.
And also when you play the story mode, when you have up to 3,600 victorys you will unlock kid buu. To unlock Super Saiyan 3 for Goku.. Just beat the fat Majin Buu in the story mode with Goku and you will unlock Super Saiyan goku. To fuse as vegito!-- when you are play the story mode, and you get to the Kai the second time in the story mode, he will give you the move you need to fuse Goku and Vegeta together as one. ALso when playing as Vegito in other game modes, to become vegito with Goku press. square square triangle triangle and circle and Goku will fuse with Vegeta.

Ok this game is amazing, although it does have flaws. I was really disappointed when I found out story mode had been removed. They replaced it with Dragon Mode which is kind of cool but, it has plot mistakes, and if your a big DBZ fan (like myself) this will bother you. The gameplay however, is much better that the original and the cel shading was a great idea. They made many more move capsules and support capsules. The other thing I enjoyed about this game was you don't have to charge to become a super saiyan. In the last game, as Goku, you need 5 ki gauges to become super saiyan (which in my opinion was ridiculess). Another great new feature to this game is that your opponent can resist your devistating ki attacks (such as Super Spirit Bomb), this provide for much more excitement when playing with friends. This game is in my opinion better than the first because it contains more, character, capsules, better gameplay, better graphics. For gameplay I rate it a 9 for graphics a 10 and for plot a 6. If you don't already own a copy I strongly advise buying one, you will not even notice the plot flaws unless your a BIG fan. OVERALL 9 (Now go BUY IT!)

I think it broke the scale from one to ten, this should be some great tips for you first go to edit skills and bowmas idem shop when you get there hold R1 and L1 for aleast five sec. then exid out ( keep holding )and your skill bar should go up and when it is at 100% percent every think should be unlocked and all the moves to find out more info on the game vist supercheats.com and that will help you also

i am one of the huge dbz fans, ive been waiting for dbz games to come to america, then came battle22- ehh, not so great, but ok, then budokai, ok- good but i want more, budokai 2 - GREAT, simply great, on everything, except the fact that the story play was changed to a board game (thumbs down), i dont know why they did it, mabe they were lazy, or had to save disk space.
but anyhow, i love the fusions, gokule, vegetto, gotenks, tiencha, lol, gokule is one of the *UGLY* characters in the game, he has missing hair, 3 eyes, and does this kick ass move named, something something volleyball.
vegetto, is just like in the saga, originally at ssj2, and you stay there, but instead of having ki, you have time, which has its disadvantages, and advantages, like infinate ki, but that counter acts, with time, once your time runs out, and you get knocked out to the ground for a second you cahnge back to the character to started fusion with, and you have 0 ki. bah, whatever still good though. they included everything big that happened in the buu saga, very greatly. they didnt have the story line correctly right though, you never fought 19, nor, did goku have that viral attack, and trunks didnt get unlocked as soon as you head into the android saga. Few errors, and Goku is the only character that has legs, lol. The rest are game pieces. Oh, well the game is spectacular, it'll keep you busy day after day and is fun to learn. IT IS* Absolutely worth the money.

The game is really a banger. The graphics are a lot improved in comparison with the last Budokai. It's a pitty the Story Mode is gone but the dragonworld is als a lot of fun because there happen things that don't really happen in the series. Like Buu who absorbs Cell and other stuf. You can unlock Vegeto by getting the potara in level 9 of the dragonworld and then you have to meet Vegeta. To unlock Gotenks you just have get to level 7 of dragonworld. You can unlock The Great Saiyaman by defeating Cell in level 4 with Gohan. You can unlock Hercule by defeating Fat Buu (level 6)with the Great Saiyaman and then you can unlock Videl by defeating Super Buu (who was to absorb Gohan first) with Hercule. To get Future Trunks you have to defeat Vegeta on Namek with Kid Trunks. Krillin has to defeat #18 and Piccolo has to defeat #17 to get those two androids. You can also do a great attack with Goku if you adjust the skill list. If you put "Kaioken x20 , 2 times Super Spirit Bomb, Z-Sword and Potential" in your skills, you have to begin a fight. If you wait for 15 seconds or so and go into Kaioken and than do a Super Spirit Bomb your opponent will lose three health gauges. You can also get breakthrought with all characters when you go to the skill shop. If Bulma says something like "come again" you have to push R1,R2,L1,L2 at the same time repeatedly. You should notice that your percentage is getting higher. That means it has worked (this cheat doesn't always work and it could be that you'll have to try another). You can get the 3 Buu's by collecting the dragonballs and wishing Babidi's Spaceship. If you fight a lot in that ship you can unlock all Buus. I also heard you could wish for Tiencha (fusion of Tien and Yamcha) but I haven't tried it out yet.

ok at first i read that this game had lost story mode i wuz really bumbed out. then i bought it and played it is kinda alright but i think it was the worst part about the game though. i beat the game and got everything my favorite characters are gohan goku and kid buu but mostly i have been playin with kid buu lately anyway super sayin 3 rocks with goku thats y i like him i think that gokule tiencha and kaibitshin are really lame vegitto is the best and gotenks is pretty kool 2 i have been playin this game ever since i bought it and i luv babidis space ship the most i aslo like the tournament the finishing moves are way better and so is the bursts mode but like i said dragon mode is more of a board game and they make u fight the same people over and over again they should put a little bit of gt in it and start the buu saga that would make it more interesting if you could be ss4 peopl say u can but i dont believe it ,it would be kool if u could be ss4 goku gohan vegita and all otehr sayins 2 but still i like playin the game so i think that is whut i will do rite now so c ya later people i hope my review will help any body who needs it

I'm sick of all you haters running your mouth about dragonball z boudakai 1. I agree compared to DBZ Boudakai 2 its a piece of crap. But come on. It was bestselling game of the year 2003. Dragonball Z Boudakai isn't too bad. Dragonball Z 2 is horribley addictive with loads of unlockables. If you want to know some fusions listen up. Get breakthrough for Tien or Yamcha and then next time wish for there fusions tiencha. Get Hercules breakthrough then wish for fusion Gokule. New characters on DBZ Boudakai 3. Brolly (Dark Super Saiyan) Cooler Frieza's brother. Then Goku's second brother whom I can't remeber the name of. This is all true. Did you know that the Dragonball Z on british t.v isn't actually the original. The same characters yeah but different storylines with watered violence. Brolly isn't evil. Just hellbent on proving he's the best in the universe. But I guess hardcore fans know this. All the fusions are for Dragon Ball Z Boudakai 2. For Kibitokai/Kibitoshin. Wish for Supreme Kai's Breakthrough and then wish for Fusion. Its all good. Screenshots for Boudakai 3 look good and I am stoked. I love Dragon Ball Z and loads of DVD'S I just wish I knew where to get the comics. If so please tell me. Rumours are a live Dragonball Z movie is on the cards with Jet Li as Goku. Dodgey eh? My favourite Dragonall Z character has to be Brolly. He is crazy and cool. I like him because my name is Brolly. Where I come from in Malaysia Brolly is a common name in my village. My last name is Tsuroki and my email is just a random name.

I got this game the firstday it came out and the moment it started up it was awesome the story mode that was in the first budokai hasent returned instead a new mode is added called dragonworld which in this mode you have to collect all seven of the dragonballs and defeat freiza cell androids and at the end buu.I have many favorite characters for this game theres also a new addition to this game theres the ability to fuse with another warrior theres 5 different fusions Gotenks Vegito Tiencha Gokule and Supreme Kabito Kai.My favorite is Vegito he is awesome my other favorite characters are future trunks Goku Vegito Gotenks Gokule and tienchaand Gohan and teen gohan are awesome too.Theres a whole bunch of new moves for the characters plus the ability for goku and gotenks to turn super saiyan 3!.Tiencha was an awesome idea by the developers i allways wondered what tien and yamcha would look like as one warrior he has a move called the wolf fang volleyball fist and a tight move called the dodohamehameha.Gokule is cool hes got the kamehameha and a move called the ultra spirit bomb.This game is awesome i like how they got rid of the 3d look and moved right on to cel shading giving the game a more anime style look.Buy this game its a must have.

this game when i first played it it was awsome.ive beat it 6 times ive inly rented it for a weak butim still playing it and ive gotten all the capsules and charecters(dont mind my $#< remove me > at !ty ass spelling) my long time favorate is vegeta im in the middle of the game for the 7th time and im practically god no one can touch me with the game settings on the hardest i think this game should have more people to beat from the first game and i h8 that board game lay out for the game (dragon world)and should be like the first one more with video but i like the fact u can pick a friend but since i liked the game so much i gave it a ten outa ten and the real reason you all probly read this the cheat.
if you enter skill shop while holdin L2 bulma will talk but just leave while still holding L2 this makes ur % go up fairly fast at the begining and unlocks maps characters and capsules and lets you play tounament mode in advanced
well peace out all my fellow dbz fans see ya when the next game comes out. and all the fine ladies email me;)

I love this game it has great characters my favorite is Vegito. And I love the babadi spaceship mode I gave this game a 10 because in DBZ boudakai 1 they pick who to fight and who to fight with.This game is more realistic than DBZ boudakai 1 and boudakai 2 has new characters.Oh and Vegito has a cool attack it's called spirit sword it goes in the body of the enemy if your not on full power Vegito just pushes his hand front and pushes you if you are on full power Vegito puts it in the enemy and pulls it out and slashs the enemy.And big Trunks has a attack called burning slash he uses a burning attack then the enmy pushes it back then Trunks gets his sword and hits like a baseball and damages the enemy bad.Ok let's talk about Videl one of her attacks are Videl close call the enemy hits you to the floor but just before she lands Gohan savves her and punches and kicks the enemy then pushes him/her to videl and she kick the enemy.

I can not wait untill DbZB3 comes out. It was the best graphics of all the Budokai's. I went on a special site to find the best previews for Budokai3. Trust me you would like the previews that you can find.The best thing i like about number three is that you can play as Bardock. Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now they made it so you can unlock characters like Broly and Cooler. The previews I saw for Bardock are off the chain. They put him in the burst mode against Frieza and he looked cool. The next preview I liked is that you can play as Frieza in his second or third form. Now isn't that cool?! The thing I hate about the Dragon World on Budokai 2 is it is like a board game and it gets boring not showing details. Now on Budokai3 they have this story called Dragon Road. You get to play as the person you are sent at to battle with. Like take Vegeta for an example on Planet Namek when Vegeta Flies to the space pods were the Ginyu Force came you get to be him and fly him over there. I would like Atari to make a Budokai with so good graphics that when you do the continues Kamehameha it would look like what vegeta did to Frieza on Planet Namek. Another last cool thing about number three is that you could fly in the air at any time of the battle.

The first thing I noticed about the game was the really boring dragon world mode, but weighed against the fantastic cell-shaded graphics, cool music and best of all the voice acting, this game rocks! But things are out of proportion though, like when I defeated Frieza with Goten.
One of the worst things about the game though is that, even though it is'nt really significant, they did miss out the Garlic saga. They also have less than half of the Ginyu force and don't have Babidi as a playable character. The thing that disgraces the game above all though is that all the special moves that the characters have are wonderful, about a quarter of them don't have one! Especially Android#17 and Android#18 who are really important in the story.
Apart from those things, the game is great! It's graphics highly resemble the cartoon without looking 2D and the voices are from the game. My favourite character is Vegita, but I don't like him when he is Vegito. This game will probably last you for 2 months unless you are a serious gamer like me, then it will take you around 3 weeks.
Now at about £35.00 it is worth your money if you've watched the cartoon, but give it a second thought if you hate japanese animation. It is extremely fun, but has a lot of flaws if you watched it on T.V and know the story.

I loved this game from the first time I played it to the last character I got.. I will always love this game. My personal favorite is Dabura because of the HELL BLADE RUSH! You can get Dabura by unlcoking babadi spaceship (which you can wish for at the end of dragonworld) and earning 100 kili. You can also get Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu(cheap ass lil bastard) in babadi's spaceship. Everyone else you unlock in dragon world. Raditz-Beat Raditz with Goku. Nappa-Beat Nappa with vegeta. Vegeta-beat vegeta with goku on namek. Ginyu-Beat Ginyu on namek with vegeta. Reecome-Beat Reccome with Goku. Frieza-Beat Frieza with Goku. Cell-Beat Cell With Goku. Andriod 16, 17, 18, 20- Beat 16 and 20 with Goku, Beat 18 with Krillin, Beat 17 with Piccolo.Gt. Sayiaman- Beat Majin Buu with Gohan..I think. hercule- Beat Majin Buu with Gt. Sayiaman. Videl (yes Videl)- Beat Super Buu with Gohan absorbed with hercule (lose one match to super buu with gohan on satge 8 and he will absorb him.) Teen Gohan- Beat Cell on last stage with Gohan. Lots of love to all you DBZ gamers out there I hope this will help you, and one more thing DABURA KICKS ASS!

If I were to be asked what the greatest game ever made was it would surely be this one.DBZB2 is the best game invented (until the third one comes out). The only problem was the story mode, it was fun but i just didn't like how you didnt get to see any video's like budokai 1.Other from that the game was GREAT!The sound, picture, everything kicked < remove me > at $$! But what i really want to know is how to get Goku and Hercule to fuse and same with Yamcha and Tien. i got budokai 2 the other day and i have all ready done the dragon world mode 3 times. also i have unlocked gotenks, vegeto and super buu. super buu can absorb people and it's f***ing sweet. ithink that this game should be voted the best game ever because it is cool and the capsules are vey hard to get so it makes the game alot more enjoyable. there is also a new mode called babibi's spaceship were you can play verious games and play them with your friends. so enjoy this absolutly fantastic game. also vegeta rules because his final flash looks ace.
