best fightin game involving dbz ever |

I personally have this game myself. This game has better graphics but doesnt focus to detail as much as the 1st budokai game. What it lacks in detail it makes up with the overall coolness of this game.I right now am trying to unlock the 2 false fusions Tiencha(Tien+Yamcha) and Gokule (Goku+Hercule) by getting their breakthroughs.Their is another rumored fusion you can only obtain with gameshark,(Gohan+ Goku)Gohanku.Also Gogeta can be unlocked with gameshark.I highly suggest anyone to go buy this game if you love dbz as much as me.The things that I hate about this game is that doesnt follow the story line that well in dragon world. Somethings I noticed were out of place.

Something I Wonder is the characters never fight babidi. Is it possible to unlock him as a character?
THe gameplay is great it coordinates with the character.This game is manufactured by Atari but infogrames wasnt involved in this game.Unlike ultimate battle 22 this game has stellar sound and features actual voices from the show and it has catchy tunes to it. Its original since it focuses less on streetfighter like graphics.Its a valuable buy but once youve beaten it your bored and done with it.Its graphics are the everpopular cel graphics. The average time it takes to defeat dragon world is about 4hr 25mins.

This game was great i got it for christmas the graphics are good the souinds are good even the backgrounds and effects are all good!!!! the idea to take out the story mode and to put a dragon mode is fine but i would prefer a story mode more number 1 it might last longer it would make people buy it but the dragon mode is still good.I would tell the Z fans to buy this hit game its way better than the first one!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!! !!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!!!!!! !!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! !!!!! !!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!

fusion.But anyways If you like dragonballZ,Budokai 2 is the game for you it has great graphics great effects,and great special moves such as Kamehameha,Galick Gun,Special Beam Cannon,Dodompa Im not sure if thats how you spell it though.

dbzb2 was the best game ever if u r a dbz fan u should get it but there is some improvements needed the game should be a bit harder thats all that needs improving the good things are the graphichs they make u feel like u r there the controls are very easy and the sound is ok becauce some caricters dont sound the real people but at least its in englesh the gameplay is the best because u can fuse turn ssj 3 u even get to play up to the kid bu saga now thats class and u move around the grid and u can serch for money and there are loads of caricters to un lock.dbgtb is coming out some time and i cant wait i also have a cheat for u witch will help when u select capsels u should hold down l2 as u select it (sorry this is a cheat for ps2)i hope this has helped u to choose to buy the game.

ok at first i read that this game had lost story mode i wuz really bumbed out. then i bought it and played it is kinda alright but i think it was the worst part about the game though. i beat the game and got everything my favorite characters are gohan goku and kid buu but mostly i have been playin with kid buu lately anyway super sayin 3 rocks with goku thats y i like him i think that gokule tiencha and kaibitshin are really lame vegitto is the best and gotenks is pretty kool 2 i have been playin this game ever since i bought it and i luv babidis space ship the most i aslo like the tournament the finishing moves are way better and so is the bursts mode but like i said dragon mode is more of a board game and they make u fight the same people over and over again they should put a little bit of gt in it and start the buu saga that would make it more interesting if you could be ss4 peopl say u can but i dont believe it ,it would be kool if u could be ss4 goku gohan vegita and all otehr sayins 2 but still i like playin the game so i think that is whut i will do rite now so c ya later people i hope my review will help any body who needs it

I liked the first Budakai game, but there were a lot of things wrong with it. Say you were both in the air, and you deliver the final blow on the opponent. He'll fall over, but he'll still be in the air! In Budakai 2, they fixed this, and other errors that I've noticed. Plus the characters look better than they did in the last one.
I thought the board game concept was a good idea, but I would've done it much differently. The thing I don't like, as minor as it may sound, is that in the board game, Goku is in full 3D, and everyone else is some dopy looking 2D game piece! And though it's a lot more polished, there's still room for improvement.
In conclusion? DBZ Budakai 2 is a good game. It's no Mortal Kombat Deadly Alliance or Soul Calliber, but it's good enough to get an 8 out of 10.

Dis game is da best eva, everythang is sweet i love da fusions, SSJ3 Goku and Gotenks, da better lookin moves,and when u go SSJ2 or 3 or u r super powered up there is lightning in da arua or around u, and Majin Vegeta. And its sweet how if someone is doin a super move on u u can rotate the analog stick and if u win da damaged is reduced. Dis game is by far way better than da first one in every way. SSJ3 Goku and Vegetto r my favorite charicters they kicks ass. I cant wait for Dragonball GT Budokai to come out SSJ4, the evil dragons, and Baby dat game is really gonna kickass well see ya until da next Budokai game gotta run. P.S. try da Father Son Ka-ME-Ha-ME-Ha that teen gohan uses its off da hook and Vegetas Big Bang. So buy dat game and check out all da sweet an improved moves so see ya lata.

this game is the best because they made the most moves that r just like the peoples moves like super goast kamakazi atack.this time the game has so many different caritors i wish they did babidy dough. they bring in fusions 2 like gokule,vegito,gotenks,kabitoshin and teancha. my favorate is teancha and his wolf fang vollie ball fist atack.on budokai 1 the xtra thins was mr satan thing but this time it is babidis space ship where u can unlock bu,super bu,kid bu and dabura.and now goku can go super saijan 3! in the shop bulma is in 7 differnt costumes. when the loadin skreen comes up by swirling the analog stik around quickly u can make master rasi go up and down an left and right.the graphics r great 4 all the differnt moves on some u have 2 power up 2 do.

This game is good but I still enjoyed the ones on the snes I mean its 2004 and I got this game and it only has ppl up to the majin buu saga?? The games from 10 years ago on the snes had newer characters than this game does ........the graphics are really nice looking , as for the gameplay I wish they would have went more with street fighter style movements as opposed to push a button 4 times and then push another button once to do a move.........there is alot of button mashin in this game even if you do know how to do the moves.......its basically the first budokai game with prettier graphics and some more characters......still no muten roshi, bebi vegeta,gogeta,ss4 goku,or brolly......if you want graphics get this game.........if you want gameplay and all the cool characters who are not in budokai2 get the snes or genesis games. Come on now ppl its been almost 20 years can we get a game with all the characters plssss??? Oh and dont forget janemba....

you gotta love this game pik up and play thinking its a wierd fighting game with beams, kamehameha wat this is crap try a few punches energy you use a spirit bomb which looks like the biggest thing ever after you talk while flying in the air in this movie you just triggered and blow your opponet across the pacific and chase after them and find them devastated. Your hooked even if u hate Dragonball Z (i will hunt u down unless you luv this game dbz haters)and when u do fusion with gotenks and turn him super sayain 3 luvers will think the game has totally captured the series and made it better thinking its the best fighting game ever other will donfusion super sayain 3 gotenks and think its way ahead on the other beat em ups and thinks its the best this game cannot get better except 4 dragon world it shud b story mode all sagas and wen u complete it play any level any character.

i think this game is ok, the graphics are alot better than in budokai 1. The fushions are awsome ecspially Gotanks. But i think what would make the game alot better is replace the dragon world with the origanal story mode. Its fun to play and all but the story line is way off base. But i think its awsome the way u can fuse onto Vegeto and gotanks. And having gohans elder kai unlock ability really helped me through Dragon world. And then Gokus Super saiyen 3 looks pretty real. i think when u fuse u should gain more power than what you do gain(ecsially with vegeto he should be alot more powerful) And even though Gohans unlock ability is kool i think with the pounding he gav majin buu that he should be alot more powerful.
And Magin buu doesnt look very real when your fighting him. He is way to bright, but they got the voice pretty real. But another flaw in this game is Cell and Freza keep coming back to life i mean its fun and all getting more ppl to fight with but they should make them different poeple not just cell and freza over and over again. So i think id give this game a 6 out of 10

this game when i first played it it was awsome.ive beat it 6 times ive inly rented it for a weak butim still playing it and ive gotten all the capsules and charecters(dont mind my $#< remove me > at !ty ass spelling) my long time favorate is vegeta im in the middle of the game for the 7th time and im practically god no one can touch me with the game settings on the hardest i think this game should have more people to beat from the first game and i h8 that board game lay out for the game (dragon world)and should be like the first one more with video but i like the fact u can pick a friend but since i liked the game so much i gave it a ten outa ten and the real reason you all probly read this the cheat.
if you enter skill shop while holdin L2 bulma will talk but just leave while still holding L2 this makes ur % go up fairly fast at the begining and unlocks maps characters and capsules and lets you play tounament mode in advanced

For all you dragon ballz show lovers this is the perfect game for you. But if you like to fight not the story mode try this cheat. Enter bulmas skill shop repetedly while holding inthe l2 button and exit really quick your skill percentage will go up when you have reached 99% buy a skill and exit. this unlocks all skills. To pick your own skills for your character go to edit skills press x a screen will go up toggle left or right to see diffrent skills. Then exit to duel then pick custom. to use your skills that you picked. The skills you picked while also be on the story mode. Thats all have fun.

I have beaten the game 11 times i have all the charicters and all the capsules heres a little helpful cheat i found worked
-free capsules, press triangle once then imediatly hold all the shoulder buttons until your out of the shop your capsule bar will slowley increase! its a kick but code. it helped me beat the game!It can also help you. you may contact me if you want to know anything about dragonball,dragonballz,or dragonballgt contact me < remove me > at gell_2_me< remove me > at yahoo.com. I like this game a lot.That is why I gave it ten on the rating scale.When I saw this game on a comercial I really wanted it,but it looked like the graphics didn't look so good.I was totally wrong.The graphics were awesome.It is better than the first one because you acually can load up ki in some techniguis.Sorry if I didn't smell that right.Those are all reasons why I like it.By the way if anyone knows how to get dragonballs e-mail me.What I mean is in story mode you know how the dragon radar says you are right on top of a dragonball,but you don't see one or something like that.Hopefully you understand what I mean and I hope you do,so you can e-mail me.Please do if you know how to get the dragonballs on levels in the story mode.I really want to collect all the dragonballs,so I can wish for the legendary super saiyan.Well I heard from a freind that is one of the things you can wish for after collecting all the dragonballs and completing the game.Well that is all I guess I want to say,so please e-mail me if you have my answer.For now i guess goodbye.

Ok so the game looks great and the attention to detail on their special attacks is almost perfect......however, it's a bad game overall.
Now, I didn't watch a whole LOT of Dragonball Z (or any other Dragonball anime for that matter) but I know the general plotlines, characters, and terms used in the game. It's not like I don't know what I'm talking about here, just for future reference.
Moving on, the controls left me wanting....well....controls. The fighting is quite choppy and the combos are way too easy for what they do. I can sit there all day turning Goten into Super Saiyin 2 and going ballistic on people all day.....well....not really since the game is horridly boring.
It's just fight fight fight, load load load, fight fight fight, load load load, buy new stuff, load load load, fight fight fight, buy new stuff......and rinse and repeat. Very bland game if you want my opinion, but then again, I'm not asking if you want it, I just hand it out like candy.

I love the fact that most people on this forum complain about how bad DBZB2 is, "because the story mode doesn't follow the series." I REST MY CASE. We've already seen the series, so why base yet ANOTHER game on the series? The whole Idea is to give it a more warped and twisted.. yet, entertaining outlook and game-play. DBZB2 is my number 1 game of choice. Though I do agree on one thing... the Story mode could've been better, I don't like the whole 'Board-Game" concept, but I can tolerate it. It keeps me occupied. The graphics are untouchable.... it's as if you're controlling an actual cartoon! The Charactors are awesome.. though they could've added more, but they'll be more Budokai games to come, I'm sure of that. This game is thee best fighting game... thee best game in general. It's worth buying, it's worth having...... it's worth keeping 'til forever, LOL. It's one of those games you'd hang in a frame and lamenate. haha.
By the way... if anyone has a WORKING code for SS4 Goku/Trunks/Vageta/Gohan, etc. Or a code to be able to select Vegito as a character, rather than using him through Fusion.....Please e-mail it to me. Much appreciated.

I have been playing this game for a month and I have oready completed it.I liked the game it is defanantly better than the first game.Here is a cheat go to the edit skills and go to the shop,then hold l2 and enter the shop,Bulma will talk but ignore her and don't buy anything keep hold of l2 and leave the shop,keep doing this and it will unlock everything and it should make your percentage bar go up.Anyway if you are having problems you should keep trying and eventually crack it and complete the game.It really is worth it there are alot of good moves like fusion.Plus if you ativate the fusion skill with Yamcha or Tien you will see 2 men dance and become Tiencha.Oh well I hope I hellped u f#**#ers.Just remember to have fun and don't get frustrated it is just a game after all.

make a thing so you can make your own person(a Charater).
put back the old Story mode from Budukai(1).Thats it please listen then it will be the best game ever but you guys on the right track.And it was so so so really better than Budukai (1).execpt for the story mode you should know that.
PS.oh yeah i forgot get more charaters and more fusions.Although you already have great ones.And wahat i also liked was the Badids Space ship
