Ok this game is amazing, although it does have flaws. I was really disappointed when I found out story mode had been removed. They replaced it with Dragon Mode which is kind of cool but, it has plot mistakes, and if your a big DBZ fan (like myself) this will bother you. The gameplay however, is much better that the original and the cel shading was a great idea. They made many more move capsules and support capsules. The other thing I enjoyed about this game was you don't have to charge to become a super saiyan. In the last game, as Goku, you need 5 ki gauges to become super saiyan (which in my opinion was ridiculess). Another great new feature to this game is that your opponent can resist your devistating ki attacks (such as Super Spirit Bomb), this provide for much more excitement when playing with friends. This game is in my opinion better than the first because it contains more, character, capsules, better gameplay, better graphics. For gameplay I rate it a 9 for graphics a 10 and for plot a 6. If you don't already own a copy I strongly advise buying one, you will not even notice the plot flaws unless your a BIG fan. OVERALL 9 (Now go BUY IT!)

I love the fact that most people on this forum complain about how bad DBZB2 is, "because the story mode doesn't follow the series." I REST MY CASE. We've already seen the series, so why base yet ANOTHER game on the series? The whole Idea is to give it a more warped and twisted.. yet, entertaining outlook and game-play. DBZB2 is my number 1 game of choice. Though I do agree on one thing... the Story mode could've been better, I don't like the whole 'Board-Game" concept, but I can tolerate it. It keeps me occupied. The graphics are untouchable.... it's as if you're controlling an actual cartoon! The Charactors are awesome.. though they could've added more, but they'll be more Budokai games to come, I'm sure of that. This game is thee best fighting game... thee best game in general. It's worth buying, it's worth having...... it's worth keeping 'til forever, LOL. It's one of those games you'd hang in a frame and lamenate. haha.
By the way... if anyone has a WORKING code for SS4 Goku/Trunks/Vageta/Gohan, etc. Or a code to be able to select Vegito as a character, rather than using him through Fusion.....Please e-mail it to me. Much appreciated.

Hey Michael Jackson %#%&*$ your so gay like he is seriously all you do is say gibberish you probley only got to like vegeta and stopped you know the game is too good for your tiny brain now listen up Brolly Rocks and this game does too the characters are awesome I like gotenks I kick < remove me > at ss with him I used to get the fat one now I do the combination fast enough I play with my friends I like that you can do tournament with up to 8 people!!! There isnt much to say Veggeto is cool too Im a major dbz fan I have 4 action figures a goku a vegeta a gohan and a collecters huge brolly if you have the brolly movie it will show him in the advertising things I have 3 of the movies DBZ rocks im its biggest fan Hercule is funny with his present for you I dont know if he has it in budokai 2 though and go kid buu your my 3rd favorite guy in DBZ first Brolly Then 2nd Gogeta 3rd Kid buu! The only thing wrong is what the heck item is used to unlock buu!

ok at first i read that this game had lost story mode i wuz really bumbed out. then i bought it and played it is kinda alright but i think it was the worst part about the game though. i beat the game and got everything my favorite characters are gohan goku and kid buu but mostly i have been playin with kid buu lately anyway super sayin 3 rocks with goku thats y i like him i think that gokule tiencha and kaibitshin are really lame vegitto is the best and gotenks is pretty kool 2 i have been playin this game ever since i bought it and i luv babidis space ship the most i aslo like the tournament the finishing moves are way better and so is the bursts mode but like i said dragon mode is more of a board game and they make u fight the same people over and over again they should put a little bit of gt in it and start the buu saga that would make it more interesting if you could be ss4 peopl say u can but i dont believe it ,it would be kool if u could be ss4 goku gohan vegita and all otehr sayins 2 but still i like playin the game so i think that is whut i will do rite now so c ya later people i hope my review will help any body who needs it

I loved this game from the first time I played it to the last character I got.. I will always love this game. My personal favorite is Dabura because of the HELL BLADE RUSH! You can get Dabura by unlcoking babadi spaceship (which you can wish for at the end of dragonworld) and earning 100 kili. You can also get Majin Buu, Super Buu, Kid Buu(cheap ass lil bastard) in babadi's spaceship. Everyone else you unlock in dragon world. Raditz-Beat Raditz with Goku. Nappa-Beat Nappa with vegeta. Vegeta-beat vegeta with goku on namek. Ginyu-Beat Ginyu on namek with vegeta. Reecome-Beat Reccome with Goku. Frieza-Beat Frieza with Goku. Cell-Beat Cell With Goku. Andriod 16, 17, 18, 20- Beat 16 and 20 with Goku, Beat 18 with Krillin, Beat 17 with Piccolo.Gt. Sayiaman- Beat Majin Buu with Gohan..I think. hercule- Beat Majin Buu with Gt. Sayiaman. Videl (yes Videl)- Beat Super Buu with Gohan absorbed with hercule (lose one match to super buu with gohan on satge 8 and he will absorb him.) Teen Gohan- Beat Cell on last stage with Gohan. I loved this game it was sooooo cool. It had great graphics and easier ways to do strong attacks. The first DBZ Budikai was great when it came out first, but this one beat it out by a mile. Now you get to fuse characters that you never had in the first Budikai. You even get to play as each form of Majin buu. Even KID BUU!!!!!! Its also almost the same as the episodes so its a DBZ movie in itself that you get to play and control what happens. Except for what the enemies do. You get training mode to learn how to fuse and learn easier ways to do strong moves such as Kamehameha. If you want the best cheats if you cant get the game done by yourself go to Supercheats or cheatingdome. If I could have given this game a higher score it would have been 35. Another thing is you have a way easier way to get dragonballs. You go to story mode and its like a game board thats my favorite part. You can also enter babadis spaceship, plus thats the only way to get the buus and deborah. Thats my review hope you like it and you should buy this game whenever given the opportunity. i think this game is ok, the graphics are alot better than in budokai 1. The fushions are awsome ecspially Gotanks. But i think what would make the game alot better is replace the dragon world with the origanal story mode. Its fun to play and all but the story line is way off base. But i think its awsome the way u can fuse onto Vegeto and gotanks. And having gohans elder kai unlock ability really helped me through Dragon world. And then Gokus Super saiyen 3 looks pretty real. i think when u fuse u should gain more power than what you do gain(ecsially with vegeto he should be alot more powerful) And even though Gohans unlock ability is kool i think with the pounding he gav majin buu that he should be alot more powerful.
And Magin buu doesnt look very real when your fighting him. He is way to bright, but they got the voice pretty real. But another flaw in this game is Cell and Freza keep coming back to life i mean its fun and all getting more ppl to fight with but they should make them different poeple not just cell and freza over and over again. So i think id give this game a 6 out of 10

this game when i first played it it was awsome.ive beat it 6 times ive inly rented it for a weak butim still playing it and ive gotten all the capsules and charecters(dont mind my $#< remove me > at !ty ass spelling) my long time favorate is vegeta im in the middle of the game for the 7th time and im practically god no one can touch me with the game settings on the hardest i think this game should have more people to beat from the first game and i h8 that board game lay out for the game (dragon world)and should be like the first one more with video but i like the fact u can pick a friend but since i liked the game so much i gave it a ten outa ten and the real reason you all probly read this the cheat.
if you enter skill shop while holdin L2 bulma will talk but just leave while still holding L2 this makes ur % go up fairly fast at the begining and unlocks maps characters and capsules and lets you play tounament mode in advanced
well peace out all my fellow dbz fans see ya when the next game comes out. and all the fine ladies email me;)

I like this game a lot.That is why I gave it ten on the rating scale.When I saw this game on a comercial I really wanted it,but it looked like the graphics didn't look so good.I was totally wrong.The graphics were awesome.It is better than the first one because you acually can load up ki in some techniguis.Sorry if I didn't smell that right.Those are all reasons why I like it.By the way if anyone knows how to get dragonballs e-mail me.What I mean is in story mode you know how the dragon radar says you are right on top of a dragonball,but you don't see one or something like that.Hopefully you understand what I mean and I hope you do,so you can e-mail me.Please do if you know how to get the dragonballs on levels in the story mode.I really want to collect all the dragonballs,so I can wish for the legendary super saiyan.Well I heard from a freind that is one of the things you can wish for after collecting all the dragonballs and completing the game.Well that is all I guess I want to say,so please e-mail me if you have my answer.For now i guess goodbye.

there is nothign wrong with this game! it is the perfect dbz game , way better than ultimate battle 22, legacy of goke 1 & 2,dbz budokai and any others if i missed some. this game is actually really hard...and that's what i love about it! it's actualy hard and the attacks are really awsome, i love being super buu and absorbing ppl! and acually when u get the hang of the game(like me) u can do every attack that u have on it!! but here are SOME things that i don't like bout it : '1' the moves are too easy to do and then after the easy button the attack does too much! i don't get that..to much power for a simple move. '2' the dragon quest thingy is TOO easy! what's with that?! '3' why isn't all of frieza's forms in it and what about the ginyu force?! it ain't the ginyu force with only ginyu and recoome! '3' what about evil buu? u know the skinny buu?? '4' and what about uub?!?!?! he should be in there too. well..all in all this game really kicks ass...i hope there's a dbz budokai 3! and 4 and ect. and make them super hard!!!!!

There are but four words to describe this game: The Best Fighting Game Ever! YEAH! This game is so awsome it's off the charts! I love the new and improved graphics of the game! And how they added the Buu saga, is priceless! I love the Fat Buu (favorite character), and how he has a wide range of moves. I alos love "Dragon World" where you unlock the items, I think that's a great way to play out the storyline! And the beginning sequence still blows me away! The music is much better and there is an even wider range of characters! This game is definatly worth every cent you pay for it, and it doesn't get boring even after you beat it! I can play for hours and never get tired, and, with friends, it makes it all that more fun! I give this game 11 stars, I would have given it 12 but.... one it's not really an option and two... I'd really like it to have more than two people play at once. Again I could write more, but that would be another waste of time. In closing, everything has improved so get out and buy this game!

The game was totally awesome. The best part is fusion and extreme finishers. And the idea behind then being able to dodge your attacks by a 1 to 4 chance. Also can happen when goku/vegeta throw the potaro earrings and can be crushed by your opponent. And also doing bad fusions to become a bad formed character. And what really sucks is you cant fuse all characters instead of just goku/mr. satan, and tien/yamcha. But overall sweet. I also though buu was sweet by absorbing someone which was cool. I also enjoyed the explosions and when you hit them into buildings. Thing I did dislike was the board game story line. But i did find out you can go to bulma's shop and hold in L1, L2 and R1, and then press Triangle and square and keep holding it to get you capsule level up. but if you dont keep holding it in, it wont stay same level, it will reduce to what it was. but when you achieve 98% (as far as i got), purchase something so it will stay.
Overall i give this game a 10 out of 10 cause im a total DBZ freak.

This game blew me away the first time i played it. Sence i love transforming, the ssj3 was so awesome. The fusion was amazing But I dont like the dragon world mode though. That's the reason i gave it a 9. But it doesnt really bother me though. Well back to the game. The graphics are superb, and the cell shaded it awesome as well. I love the new way they do the beam attacks. Instead of a big ball coming at you, you have a stream of energy bursting at you. And you can also dodge it, But i'm having some difficulty finding the ssj3 for goku. i cant find it. If someone can give me some tips i would uppriciate it. My favorite character is goku of course, Because he can go kaokien x20,super sayian,super sayian 2 and super sayian 3. I love when you go super sayian 2, you can see streaks of energy. Ok so the game looks great and the attention to detail on their special attacks is almost perfect......however, it's a bad game overall.
Now, I didn't watch a whole LOT of Dragonball Z (or any other Dragonball anime for that matter) but I know the general plotlines, characters, and terms used in the game. It's not like I don't know what I'm talking about here, just for future reference.
Moving on, the controls left me wanting....well....controls. The fighting is quite choppy and the combos are way too easy for what they do. I can sit there all day turning Goten into Super Saiyin 2 and going ballistic on people all day.....well....not really since the game is horridly boring.
It's just fight fight fight, load load load, fight fight fight, load load load, buy new stuff, load load load, fight fight fight, buy new stuff......and rinse and repeat. Very bland game if you want my opinion, but then again, I'm not asking if you want it, I just hand it out like candy.

I was the few few people to get budokai2.I got the last one.My mother couldn't pay for it the first time I got it when there were many.So they were put on lailway until she could pay for them.On Dec,17 everything was put back on the shelves.The one who posseses the Budokai I touched I shall put a curse upon you!!
Just kiding...anyway from the looks of it the way you peoople talk about Budokai2 it rocks.I also give good credit to the people who put screen shots of Budokai2 on the net.I'm interested.My mother hid it from me and my other games.
I think the only way you can get ss4 is by the Dragonballs or completing ADVANCE mode only with EVERYBODY in budokai1 and 2 only.My favirote people are vegeta,goku,gohan,and trunks.and anybody who knows what future trunks special move burning slash is like please display this information publicly because I dont have my own e-mail adress so I'm going to use my moms.(This is probably the adress she doesnt use no more.)

hey ppl this game is like the best game ive played since the first budokai although i cant frikkin beat kid buu he just keeps kicking my butt so ill need help with that if any one knows how to beat him email me. if any one thinks this game sux they are trippin. the graphics are great!!! my favorite characters are vegetto and gotenks.every thing is great about this game and i think that if any one doesnt have it they should get it.the first time i saw the game box i started to slobber and i played like all day and night the only thing that sucks is that the PS2 is that it doesnt come with a memory card and my step dad wont get me one so my friend is going to send me one and my mom doesnt like memory cards, i dont know why.if you get this game youre parents might see the sideaffects, they are: making your lil sis or bro to get your drinks, refusing to eat for 2 days and accesive slobbering. well gotta scram... get tha goddamn game if you dont have it.

This game is good but I still enjoyed the ones on the snes I mean its 2004 and I got this game and it only has ppl up to the majin buu saga?? The games from 10 years ago on the snes had newer characters than this game does ........the graphics are really nice looking , as for the gameplay I wish they would have went more with street fighter style movements as opposed to push a button 4 times and then push another button once to do a move.........there is alot of button mashin in this game even if you do know how to do the moves.......its basically the first budokai game with prettier graphics and some more characters......still no muten roshi, bebi vegeta,gogeta,ss4 goku,or brolly......if you want graphics get this game.........if you want gameplay and all the cool characters who are not in budokai2 get the snes or genesis games. Come on now ppl its been almost 20 years can we get a game with all the characters plssss??? Oh and dont forget janemba....

I love this game it has great characters my favorite is Vegito. And I love the babadi spaceship mode I gave this game a 10 because in DBZ boudakai 1 they pick who to fight and who to fight with.This game is more realistic than DBZ boudakai 1 and boudakai 2 has new characters.Oh and Vegito has a cool attack it's called spirit sword it goes in the body of the enemy if your not on full power Vegito just pushes his hand front and pushes you if you are on full power Vegito puts it in the enemy and pulls it out and slashs the enemy.And big Trunks has a attack called burning slash he uses a burning attack then the enmy pushes it back then Trunks gets his sword and hits like a baseball and damages the enemy bad.Ok let's talk about Videl one of her attacks are Videl close call the enemy hits you to the floor but just before she lands Gohan savves her and punches and kicks the enemy then pushes him/her to videl and she kick the enemy.
