If I were to be asked what the greatest game ever made was it would surely be this one.DBZB2 is the best game invented (until the third one comes out). The only problem was the story mode, it was fun but i just didn't like how you didnt get to see any video's like budokai 1.Other from that the game was GREAT!The sound, picture, everything kicked < remove me > at $$! But what i really want to know is how to get Goku and Hercule to fuse and same with Yamcha and Tien. This is definately a different and unique DBZ game! Unlike Budokai 1 which gives you a synopsis of the Dragonball Z series, Budokai 2 puts the player right into the storyline in an alternate world settings while staying close to the original story. Adding Cell and Frieza into the Majin/Super/Kid Buu story is also a nice touch (Majin Cell and Majin Frieza, can you imagine?). You have some of the old baddies back like Raditz, Andriod 17, Racoom, etc. with the same playability as in Budokai 1, though it would have been interesting if you could play other characters such as the remaining members of the Ginyu Force, Cooler, or Andriods 13, 14 and 15 (now that's dreamin'!).
All and All, Dragonball Z: Budokai 2 is a sheer delight for any DBZ fan and you'll find it hard to put down the controller once you get your mits on it. My advice, start playing at the beginning of the weekend...you'll need it.

This Christmas i got one of the best fighting games of all time , you guessed it DBZ Budokai 2, the graphics are awesome even though they are cel-shaded, the fighting is simple but effective and there is a hell of a character selection for those who like to explore each characters different abilities like me, over all a fantastic game, the part which really showed off the game was when goten and trunks fuse together being one that just tipped the iceberg, also something which has surprised me is the lifespan of the game, unlike the first game Budokai 1 which was easy and was completed in a few days, this bueaty(however you spell it) lasts for a long time though i havent completed the game actually no where near, its almost impossible to say how long its goin to take put in mind that ive had a week now, as you people should know by now its cel-shaded which really puts it into its own world of the fighter category, The cel-shaded material really adds to the effect of you actually being in the cartoon itself which is cool.
A good game to play for anyone really, not jus for DBZ fans more for a wide range of gamers who like fighting games in general.
What I didnt like about the game was really the fact that there is a cheat for all capsules as i am not the cheating person, also the fact that you have to get 29 characters for advanced mode, ive only got bout 18 so i still have a bit to go but i love a challenge in a game, so thats probably why i love it.

The game was totally awesome. The best part is fusion and extreme finishers. And the idea behind then being able to dodge your attacks by a 1 to 4 chance. Also can happen when goku/vegeta throw the potaro earrings and can be crushed by your opponent. And also doing bad fusions to become a bad formed character. And what really sucks is you cant fuse all characters instead of just goku/mr. satan, and tien/yamcha. But overall sweet. I also though buu was sweet by absorbing someone which was cool. I also enjoyed the explosions and when you hit them into buildings. Thing I did dislike was the board game story line. But i did find out you can go to bulma's shop and hold in L1, L2 and R1, and then press Triangle and square and keep holding it to get you capsule level up. but if you dont keep holding it in, it wont stay same level, it will reduce to what it was. but when you achieve 98% (as far as i got), purchase something so it will stay.
Overall i give this game a 10 out of 10 cause im a total DBZ freak.

this game is the stuff!!! the graphics are alittle wack but o well. i have all the characters but one i think? i heard rumurs of the super sayin 4 goku? if there is dose anybody know how to get him? i heard u have to beat world tornamen in advanced mode with everybody i did and nothing happend. then i tried with the dragonball thingy, man i must of beat drogon world at least a hundred times.this is getting me agrivated errrrrrrrrrrr.im playin it right now im in dragon world again! seeing if ss4 really work or not. I HOpE SO! if anyone knows how to get ss4 plz post it here i cant give u an email adress cause its my moms but o well.

I think it broke the scale from one to ten, this should be some great tips for you first go to edit skills and bowmas idem shop when you get there hold R1 and L1 for aleast five sec. then exid out ( keep holding )and your skill bar should go up and when it is at 100% percent every think should be unlocked and all the moves to find out more info on the game vist supercheats.com and that will help you also

there is nothign wrong with this game! it is the perfect dbz game , way better than ultimate battle 22, legacy of goke 1 & 2,dbz budokai and any others if i missed some. this game is actually really hard...and that's what i love about it! it's actualy hard and the attacks are really awsome, i love being super buu and absorbing ppl! and acually when u get the hang of the game(like me) u can do every attack that u have on it!! but here are SOME things that i don't like bout it : '1' the moves are too easy to do and then after the easy button the attack does too much! i don't get that..to much power for a simple move. '2' the dragon quest thingy is TOO easy! what's with that?! '3' why isn't all of frieza's forms in it and what about the ginyu force?! it ain't the ginyu force with only ginyu and recoome! '3' what about evil buu? u know the skinny buu?? '4' and what about uub?!?!?! he should be in there too. well..all in all this game really kicks ass...i hope there's a dbz budokai 3! and 4 and ect. and make them super hard!!!!!

Everything is great besides dragon mode. I mean everything. The graphics, moves, combos, watever its all good. Now dragon mode, I don't know what they were thinking. That is the most boring waste of time i've ever been through, not to mention it IS hard. No movies, or anything, just this game based chutes and ladders type thing where you fight. REALLY kind of corny. Well that's just my opinion as well as many others. I'm sure some do like it, afterall it is different. Otherwise, the game's all good. Really fun, its worth the buy, especially if your a dbz fan!

This game is off the chain.When you first start the game,click on Dragonworld and while on the first part when the man is talking,press select and r1 and r2 to unlock teen gohan easily.
While in world tournament mode after you win the tournament.When the man says take your prize money,press R3 and L3 to get unlimted zenie.Oh yeah and press R3 and L3 repeatedly.To unlock ss4 for Trunks,Vegeta,and Goku go to badidis space ship and while badidi is talking saying how many people is going to play press square,then o repeatedly in that order.This is the best game and I just told you the best codes.

Me and my bro were just playing this it is awesome!!! I was adult gohan and went to elder kai unlock potential and started kicking my brothers a< remove me > at < remove me > at and then all of a sudden he kicked me out to sea and i smashed into rocks! then he threw a spirit bomb at me and i had little health. Then i grabbed the spirit bomb so i rolled the analog stick and i pushed it back and he died! We both cheered. You guys gotta get this! Its da shiznit! If u guys like it post up more! Hey the percentage cheat works too! Hey can someone tell me how to push back kamehameha?

I've never been into fighting games,but I am well into the Dragon Ball and had to buy the game.I must admit,it is better than I thought it would be and I'm well addicted, but I don't get much chance to play it, what with other commitments.The music could have done with being heavier,agressive hardcore would have done the trick for me!!!Goku has got to be the greatest superhero ever,and I mostly use him when I play.I think I will get the first one.This is a great game and I would recommend it anyone.

There are but four words to describe this game: The Best Fighting Game Ever! YEAH! This game is so awsome it's off the charts! I love the new and improved graphics of the game! And how they added the Buu saga, is priceless! I love the Fat Buu (favorite character), and how he has a wide range of moves. I alos love "Dragon World" where you unlock the items, I think that's a great way to play out the storyline! And the beginning sequence still blows me away! The music is much better and there is an even wider range of characters! This game is definatly worth every cent you pay for it, and it doesn't get boring even after you beat it! I can play for hours and never get tired, and, with friends, it makes it all that more fun! I give this game 11 stars, I would have given it 12 but.... one it's not really an option and two... I'd really like it to have more than two people play at once. Again I could write more, but that would be another waste of time. In closing, everything has improved so get out and buy this game!

I got it for Christmas, It's the best DBZ Game I played so far, I play with Dabura and Kid Buu. I have to try that SS4 Goku code (Just to see if it's real), Everyone I played against is no match for me, my favorite move is "Vanishing Ball",It gives the feeling like I'm doing the Spirit Bomb Attack. The game is cool, I have a big feeling that the next DBZ fighting game will be GT. I don't think the Vogeto code is real, I know the Vegeto code is, I have 98% of my capsule bar filled.
The SS4 code is probably a dud(fake) because Goku became SS4 in the GT Season, not in the Z.

If you like the first dragonballz budokai game you'll like dragonballz budokai2. First of all the graphics are way better then the first this game don't have story mode but I don't care this game still rocks with out it. Another reason why it rocks is you get to become a s.s.3 and you get to fuse in this game for example: Goku and Hercule, Goten and Trunks, Vegeta and Goku, and Tien and Yamcha but I really like the 3 stages of buu first fat buu then super buu and finally kid buu. Hello gamer. OK, let me begin the review by saying that I'll compare this game to BK (the original Budokai). I'll try to keep this as objective as possible. BK is a whole lot different from his offspring. Firstly, everything (as you probably know) is now i cell-shading. This means that the characters look just like in the show. Although when I read this the first time, I wasn't too happy about it, but I assure you, it looks splended. If you compare the way they look now, with how they looked in BK, I'd say the BK characters look kind of like muppets or something, really, some of them looked very fat. Here they look alot more natural. The amount of characters has known its improvement too, you now have up to 33 playable characters: Videl, Grand Kai, the three Buu forms, SSJ 3 Goku, Vegeto and many more, even characters who never appear in the show. Some of the BK characters have been taken out this time. Like Zarbon, Dodoria and Android 19. The game modes. You have the classic vs mode, Tenkaichi Budokai mode, training... Now for the story mode. This time the story mode has been replaced by something called Dragon World. It looks just like a boardgame, where you, and some other allies travel around the world of DBZ to collect the 7 dragonballs, fighting the enemies on your path. It takes you from the arrival of Raditz to the end of Buu. Despite this rather childish mode, the storyline you are taken through makes up for the 'bad' move the game developers made. Sound now. the sound is very good, the intro movie by the way, is very well made! There aren't really any new tunes though, most of them are from BK. There is a small remark I'd like to make. While playing Dragon World, Jazz music is played, and well, that's not the type of music you want to listen to when you're supposed to save the world now is it?? The voices (this is maybe a very important point) are all in English! Many of you may have found BK a bit annoying because it was in Japanese. Well, when I saw the trailer of BK2 I didn't feel too happy, because I prefer the original Japanese voices. But afterwards, it was for the best that they changed it, else you would have no clue of what was being said in the story mode. At least for those who don't understand Japanese (I do on the other hand, that's why I didn't like the English thing in the beginning). Gameplay. If you thought the controls in BK were the best, think again. In BK2 they have managed to improve it even more. You can feel the difference. Your character is a whole lot easier to manage. You also have more freedom when in the air. There are a whole bunch of new moves, and some of them eally kick ass!! I then think of the father-son kamehameha, it's unstoppable! There are a few new stages in BK2, the rest is from BK. Now there's also this thing called 'Babidi's spaceship' mode. Here, you're supposed to complete his demands and by doing that succesfully, you earn Kili, with that you can win characters and various moves. In overall, this game scores very high, in my opinion, even higher than BK. If you played BK, or are a huge DBZ fan, this game is one to get, no doubt about that.

this is the best budokai game ever.the graphics are cool and the dragonworld is awsome.the new fusions are awsome with gotenks,vegeto,and gokule are awsome.if you have a good television this game is awsome with the sound effects.buu is totally hard to beat and the new ki waves are awsome.if your a dbz fan this game is for you.the fighting graphics are awsome epecially with the cell shaded characters beware of the fusion technique.if you get it wrong with gotenks u wiil have unexpected results.the fusion of goku and hercule is cool but rediculous
