dbz aint neva da same without budokai 2 | | arnold from kansas,usa says (21/Dec/2003): | man budokai was a hit with all the things you could do...but that was just a preview of the real thing the makers came back with budokai 2 that was a major hit with all the fusions and super saiyan 3 and majin vegeta,with all the buu's its tottaly awsome so thats why no other game is the same this year with budokai 2....so i hope the makers next year take it up 2 the next level,yeeaahh lets go....and play da game...and lets do our best to defet those buu's cause theyre one taugh guys or monsters lol...
| 1 werd UNREALISTIC!!! | | A gamer from los angeles, USA says (13/Jun/2004): | i like all of the fun fighting stuff, but it is wayyyy to unrealistic. i mean cum on, bobudi summoning frieza and cell to fight geez! then majin buu absorbing them that is really stupid and the saibamen are in every level sheeesh have the makers ever watched the show ever. but the fighting part is really awesome (but they should have a way to fly instead of being knocked into the air... once again unrealistic) i hope they make more improvements in the next dragonball Z game. anyone who watches the show could make it more realistic than this. i believe that it would be worth it if it were more realistic. i could create a more realistic game then this (the graphics could be a little more better. overall fighting : 9/10 overall graphics : 7/10 cost : 3/10 reality : 0/10 u shouldnt buy this game unless u get it for a god bargain
| Converted | | Private Dau from Wales, UK says (29/Dec/2003): | I've never been into fighting games,but I am well into the Dragon Ball and had to buy the game.I must admit,it is better than I thought it would be and I'm well addicted, but I don't get much chance to play it, what with other commitments.The music could have done with being heavier,agressive hardcore would have done the trick for me!!!Goku has got to be the greatest superhero ever,and I mostly use him when I play.I think I will get the first one.This is a great game and I would recommend it anyone.

If Budokai 2 had stayed more on track with the orginal, (probly just started where the othere left off at the end of the cell games) then it would of made a worthy DBZ game. Let me give a example. The begaining of dragon world starts with nappa and raditz landing on earth, but any true DBZ fan would no the raditz came alone, followed 1 year later by nappa and vegeta. They also had freeza pay a visit to earth, and that wasn't suppost to happen untill the andiod saga after namik. Forget about the cell saga or cell games, instead you get a retarded board chase after cell. Plus several of the orginal stages were cut out that were in the buu saga like kami's look out. And has anyone but me noticed that when you use a gaint attack like the super spirit bomb or super kamahamaha that there is no crater or even a small scratch on the ground? I think the only few good things they did with this game was add more characters and made all the characters more custamizable. Not to mention you can now duel using to commputer controlled custonized characters. I do think the game is worth buying if you a

Now, I didn't watch a whole LOT of Dragonball Z (or any other Dragonball anime for that matter) but I know the general plotlines, characters, and terms used in the game. It's not like I don't know what I'm talking about here, just for future reference.
Moving on, the controls left me wanting....well....controls. The fighting is quite choppy and the combos are way too easy for what they do. I can sit there all day turning Goten into Super Saiyin 2 and going ballistic on people all day.....well....not really since the game is horridly boring.
It's just fight fight fight, load load load, fight fight fight, load load load, buy new stuff, load load load, fight fight fight, buy new stuff......and rinse and repeat. Very bland game if you want my opinion, but then again, I'm not asking if you want it, I just hand it out like candy.

| its a cool game! | | tommy from Tarzana California USA says (19/Dec/2003): | Ok pepole i played the game for like 2hours and got to buu i beat fat buu and went on to super buu i could not beat super buu wenever he obsorbed gohan because he gets way more life then i do so its kind of not fair but its a great game any way i like the sounds of the game and the fact that you dont have to push buttons to do a kamehameha i think that the way the fighters looked was good but they kinda look like paper anyway i suggest you go out and rent it first befor you buy it but if you liked the 1st budokai you will like this 1 more...

First of all the graphics are way better then the first this game don't have story mode but I don't care this game still rocks with out it. Another reason why it rocks is you get to become a s.s.3 and you get to fuse in this game for example: Goku and Hercule, Goten and Trunks, Vegeta and Goku, and Tien and Yamcha but I really like the 3 stages of buu first fat buu then super buu and finally kid buu. first,they quit the cool story mode,that follows all the dbz anime(ANIME,not cartoon,dbz is from japan,not from america),and the new dragon world "quest",sucks a lot,you figth with the same stupid enemies all the time.
second,the characters,man,all the caracters are sample copies of the others,and only the saiyans can be really good characters.
third,majin buu looks really awful,thats not the real pink color of buu,and that absortion that all says that is very cool,is a real %< remove me > at %Ą$#.You can absorb only a little number of characters.laazy people of atari.

The characters,man why if this game is about the majin saga,why did they put reecome and nappa and android 16,20,17,18,etc
why did they donīt try to made new characters,i dont know,like pai-ku-han,spopovitch,etc.
the names,people understand,Funamimation changes the names of the characters,
Tien,his real name is ten-shin-han,i think that is not so much work to said it.
Hercule,his real name is Mr.Satan,i think that the kids of today
will cry if they see that name on TV.
Vegito,"hello" funanimation,is vegetto,vegeta and kakarot,and is kakarotto.
nationality,people,this anime is from japan,fun,donīt try to made it american,like the language that they use,it sucks,and the music sucks too,is better the original japan music.

in fact,bandai really knows about dbz,legacy of goku,taiketsu,all of them sucks.the only good is budokai 1,but only that,and is not so good really.
