Fun But Way Too Difficult |

Before you condemn me for dissing the game, please read what I have to say first.
Jak and Daxter was a game I had played a demo of, and myself and my entire family loved it. We bought it for Christmas in 2002, and we couldn't stop playing it. We finished it in about a week, and my kids played it through several times. Great graphics, story, etc.
Then we bought jak II. Different story. My problem is having the original mildly challenging game evolve into one of the most difficult games I have ever played. This should not happen to a game line. I bought this game thinking it would be similiar to the original but basically feel I wasted my money. My wife and kids will never begin to complete this game, and although I am about 80% finished, I may not myself.
Perhaps the company felt that if they produced a new game title that they would not sell as many as if they just expanded on an existing title. That may be the case, but they also shouldn't do what they did either.
I buy video games for fun and enjoyment, not work - this game feels like work. You may disagree, but do you work 40 hours a week and spend your hard earned money on things you think are fun, only to discover you have been taken?
Also, I have read a lot of the reviews on here, and I should say that from the grammar, spelling, and punctuation that I have seen used, you should spend more time studying than playing games.

Currently I'm playing Jak II with my little brother who's 6 if you can believe that. We aren't incredibly far but this game is the most addicting one we've found yet. It's difficult but it makes you want to beat it. We're about half way through it and he's done most of the work. The game has a nice mix between down time and action, giving you time to race and drop things off as well as defeating the soldiers and any other random civilians in the way >.> *cough* Graphics are great, the movement of the characters is believeable, I find this a must, long game but entertaining, and it is better then the first. I bought the first for my brother last year and the second for him this year, he loves them both but he didn't care to finish the first while for this one he's addicted as am I.

Oh man I knew jak2 would be incredible.I just love dark jack.You can hi-jack cars.It's like grand theft auto 3.You can have four guns.You can have jet-bourd.Just 1 word for it:cool.I recommend that you buy it.Jack has a very long life span.He can also turn into Dark Jack which is extremally cool.And in this game Jack talks.The graphics are better than the other game.The game has a mini map in the lower right corner.The game offers you a bigger map in the menu.It's thebest game I have ever played.Have fun.

Hi just bought this awsome game.Its so cool and you get to fly around in cars and shoot cool guns. I think it is like Gta's series, and like tony hawk but i dont car i still love the game. i havent beat it yet im only on the part when you fight the baron in the mar temple. so all you buyers out there i definatley think that YOU SHOULD BUY THIS!!!!! i havent bought jak the first one but ive played it my freinds house. i mean the games almost as long as final fantasy X, but not quite as long as it though. its a adventure game/rpg.

This game is the bomb!!! I even had a great time playing it! My favorite part of the game was when your in the city and your fighting Metal heads. I probably spent half my time fighting them in the city! The greatsest thing was that the Krimsen gaurds payed no attention to you. The hrdest mission that you had to do was when you have to Smash the the medal heads in that on game that Daxter does. This coment that I would want to make to the producers of Jak 2, make another one because this game ruled!!! If there wouldn't be another one then the Jak and Daxter would not be complete without another game.

I got this game knowing i would like it but i never thought i would love it. It was so much better than the original but it had the same problem, it's way to hard to find the precursor orbs. This is a pretty long game but as soon as i beat it i wanted more. The guns are great and the hoverboard(which was nothing at all like tony hawk) made it easy to get around when there were no zoomers.The only thing that could've made it better is if it was even longer than it is all ready.This is a definate must buy for all platformer fans.

It's an awsome game I think Long game play awsome guns and even powers from Dark eco its awsome also pretty good graphics high speed races cop chaces hover board Daxter gets drunk it's a long fun game a lot better than the first one so much missions its so sweet time machines action adnenture and alot of words so don't get lost in conversations very fun super secret secrets to unlock with Precursor orbs superb game stealing cars a lot of action moments and the oracle is back with the same high prices
Daxters still crazy and Jack after 2 years in jail Jack now is made as HELL
peace maker a gun is deadly and explosive

this game was the best action game ive ever played and to the dumb people out there saying this game sucks u suck cause u r not good and to the one guy who said he beat it in a day thats a lie he prbobly beat it in a week i still havent beat it but i rarely ever play it cause im playing FFX2 but anyways the graphics r extremely good gameplay good the entire game is good u have to buy this game the only bad thing is how long u live it is extremely short but its still ok oh by the way i am a game reviewer for GamePro so try to get me fired

this is one of the best games I have ever played. whoever thinks otherwise is just laim. i havnt completly beaten it yet but i will eventually.if your into to partly complicating games and missions galor then this is THE game for you trust me. and if you dont believe me then try it for yourself and youll see im right. here are the ways i rated it:
boss difficulty 5/5 not all of them though
mission difficulty 5/5 but not all
health meter is pretty fair

plus its got a lot of racing.

This is one of the best videogames ever!
Event though I beat it in 3 days, it is a very furn game and I would play it until I have gotten all the secrets!
For a $50, it is really worth it. The graphics are great.
And one of the best parts is being able to carjack zoomers and hover cars in Haven City! It is also harder than Jak and Daxter, but it is so much better. I think it is a game that everyone must have!

To me, Jak II is a real great game. I've played it more than any of the other games i got this Christmas. Its a definite buyer and when i figure out how to get all the secret things 'bout it, Ill play the first one. The last boss may seem impossible if you still cant win after 200 tries, but its not impossible..........just semi-impossible. Strategy is the only way to beat this big $#< remove me > at !roach-spider thingy. Also, if you want to know, i reccomend trying to find all of the secret gems to get all of his Dark Jak powers, the last one might seem, too BIG to see on the screen...

I have wanted GTA3 and Vice City since they come out, but my mom didn't want me to have a game that violent...i got Jak and Daxter when i 1st got my PS2, and i really enjoyed it, so for my B-Day, my parents got me jak2. I was surprised by the outcome of this game. It gives the same feel of the gta series yet is comical enough not to be taken too seriously. The only part i didn't like was the searching of precursor orbs. If you like the gta series but cant get it, this is a must-have. Please email me and let me know your opinions.

In Jak2 the fighting part might be fun but you really have to hatch daxter for some funny parts. This game might get very very confusingor frusterating at times. At fisrt when i started playing i thought some parts where imposible to get past. But i took a break went bak and beat it in an instant so don't start throwing the controller at the PS2 like my friend did it almost broke his PS2. It is better to fly on the low hover lvl but you can get attacked by the police people more often. SO DON"T GET SO MAD AT THE GAME YOU ALMOST BREAK IT. LIKE MY FRIEND

this game is wicked daxter funnier than ever jack insane kool strong humorous DARK hes a dark fighter who never gives up my favourite gun is the peace maker and jack'in cars the best the level i hate is the tank level and the bedt level is... baron praxis / kor thought there r other good bits like da sewer level and da runnin trough da streets chased by crimson gaurds and hell cats or as i call just hell thatts the only annoyin thing

After months of waiting I have finally got Jak 2!It is the best game I've ever played and is my favourite!I can't get anough of it!The graphics are super smooth,the sound is great,the gameplay is much like the first game,it will take quite a while to complete and best of all you have weapons!You can get upgades for the weapons,a hoverboard and now Jak can transform into Dark Jak and can perform incredible new moves!Jak 2 is a mixture of different games including GTA,Tony Hawk's,Ratchet and Clank and Timespliters 2.All these reasons add up to being one of the best games ever made!And that game is Jak 2!!I recommend this game to anyone who liked Jak 1 or likes action/adventure games.As I said Long live Jak 2!!!

Ok if you say this game is like GTA and Tony Hawk games ur a idiot cuz it is nowhere near!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!My favorite part of the game is stealin Krimson Guards "Hell Cats" And the small ones I call "Hell Hounds" So buy it cuz it is one of the best games there is!!!!!!!!SO come on people buy the game if you don't then you are one gaint idiot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Look if u want this game dont get it. Iwas playin it around my friends and it was just so easy. We completed it that day. There was absolutely no point in payin £40 for it. I kept sayin to myself y y y y y y y y . and these funny dreams kept sayin in my head never look at this game again or i will die. So that didnt really affect me. Cos i was never never ever going to ever touch look talk about anyway. OOO you can skateboard i have never dun that b 4. OOO i can wave a stupid make believe gun around. How i have always wanted to do that. OOO i cant nick someones beautiful car pod racer thingy. U might as well but Tony hawks and GTA cos they do the same thing just 6billion times better. Take my advice. I have been gaming for 10 years and i have never seen anything else like this in my life! Get away from me!!

I'm glad that this time, Jak and Daxter isn't as much for kids as it is now. Graphics are gorgeous. Although it takes a really long time to get from one place to another, the gameplay is worth the wait. I guess you're wondering then why I put a 9 up there. I think there should be less gun, more thought. I know that doesn't rhyme. There is more shooting going on then there is real thought. The only places that actually require thought is in the tests of manhood, and when you are running around with Sig trying to put the boxes in the hole before they explode, and you can use your gun for that, too. The lifespan of the game is good. There is always something to do. My personal favorite part is where you play the Whack-A-Metalhead game. Daxter's expressions are priceless. I think that it is strange that even though you have 8 hits, getting shot by a Krimzon Guard can take away 2. Why not just one? The sound is synchronized perfectly with the words they are saying. I am also glad the voices aren't trying too hard. Overall, I think 9 would be a good score.

Jak 2 is the best game I've ever played, the plot is awesome(just like a real movie), the missions are so challenging only the strong survive. It has got something for everyone; it has got racing, car hijacking, awesome guns, a jet board for the skaters, and pretty much anything else a good game should have(including whack-a-metalhead), you even get to play as Daxter! It is much much better than the first one, especially because you don't have to run around collecting a bunch of crap. You can collect precursor orbs but this time you actually get something out of it. It has so many genres also mystery, action, adventure, fantasy, and sci-fi. It is like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Sherlock Holmes mixed into one. I especially like the fact that Jak talks too; Inever got why he didn't before. This is very addicting also I got it during Thanks giving break and would not stop playing it. I played it so much I beat it in less than a week(it would've taken a lot longer if Ididn't have so much time on my hands). So if you liked the first one you will definately like this one. Buy it now!
