delivers what you like....sort of | | A gamer from bayshore,New York says (6/Oct/2003): | This game delivers what you might expect if you are a defender of the crown fan, but if a swashbukling adventure is what you seek, look elsewhere. the idea of the game is incredible, its the execution that is the problem. Plenty of action but the castles (despite belonging to different lords) are exactly the same which makes raiding more cumbersome than fun. the difficulty is unforgiving as well, and there is no way to adjust it. The good points however definatley shine. the first person ambushes are incredible. the characters are acted almost flawlessly, and lends to the feel of being in sherwood. The graphics while not the best, are perfect for this game. the cut scenes are entertaining,and well scripted. the replay value is definatley there, but could have been increased by not limiting your role as robin hood. it is missing the option of choosing which lord to side with, though all of the original lords are there. A great first outing, but if the game were polished a little more, and the options tweaked, the originality alone would score it a 10
