I like the new main event matches..(Ellimination Chamber, Bra and Panties, First Blood). BUT, SD! HCTP seems to be more than a little negligent when it comes to the Women's division. First, there were tons of divas left out of the game...(Jacqueline, Ivory, Gail Kim, Shaniqua, etc....Oh even Molly Holly, The current Women's Champ! It's nice to have the Women's title in the game but it's no good when you don't have a Women's season mode to play in!

this game hctp is going to be the best wrestling game ever released because its got all the matches i like in it which my favourite one is the elimination chamber which i like the sound of the season is much butter because you got the managers erich bishoff and stonecold steve austin but no offense thq smackdown shut your mouth was good at first but the storyline was absoulutly crap so i expect the graphics to be much beeter on smackdown 5 im sure they will be better cant wait to play the brilliant game.

Having bought the game the second my fav. game store got it in, (and not put it on the shelves yet..they had to un-box it for me) I spend the ENTIRE weekend playing it..and I was happy I did. I love the Smackdown series, and LOVE this version of the game. IT TOTALLY ROCKS!!! A definate MUST for all hardcore wrestling fans!

This game (HERE COMES THE PAIN) beats all the other wrestling games i have played on smack down 1,2,3,4. THE graphics on them are rubbish but they are better on smack down five and the season mode is alot better instead of unlocking the hidden items you have to pay for them. the fans on smack down 5 go a bit mad they act as they have ants in their pants.and its cool they have put it so the wrestlers bleed.and this is the best bit for all the boys the bra and panties match but its a bit sad you have to press x repeatedly and i give this game 10 out of 10 all the wrestling fans should agree with me and more of you should buy it.

MAN..welcome back smackdown! this game is killer. I just want to know one thing?? when certain wrestlers wins a title, why don't there come out with it? when I was playing a season with undertaker and john cena, whenever i won a title they never came out with it on, but still it says that thay are the champion. don't you think it's really common for a wrestler to have it with as they're walkin down the ramp??. Other then that this game is the best. Also the elimation chamber is Sweeeeeet.

Overall this is the best SD game I've played. The graphics are much better. The arena's and stadium look much better and more realistic.The gameplay is much better. But the game is missin a few things. No Jeff Hardy, we need Jeff so we can do remake ladder match between him and RVD. The entrances have gottin better for some and gottin worse for others. The music choices come on there getting worse. At least add a couple a different choices for the Rock, HHH, and austin. Some of the wrestlers don't even have up to date music.RVD has his old ECW,Kane has his old one,Stacy and Victoria have stupid spoof music. THere also missin a couple of wrestlers like Dawn Marrie, Nydia ,but thank god they left that weird freak Shaniqua that looks like Shelton Benjamin in a wig.and why can't we use Stephanie Mc Mahon in Bras&Panties match, that's a real kill. The season mode it's good but it could be a whole better, for starters 1 year long,sure they different options to choose from in the season, but it needs to be long. They don't even have authentic Story Lines from last year,well except a few.Goin against Rico for the title at Judgment Day,at least John Cena but not that fag. I think they could go at least 1 more year.One more thing on season mode, they don't even have Austin as the Co-GM,but at leats they have him in the game.Like I said it is a pretty good game, the best i've palyed so far. Now on another note and to qoute, 2 tears in a bucket and if you ain't down with Here Comes The Pain, you can suck it.

The best game ever. wwe smackdown is sooo much better than shut your mouth because of its awesome graphics. But where th heck is hulk hogan,the FBI,mark henry,jeff hardy and many other popular superstars. Although i love the new matches such as bra and panties,elimanation and improved main events. I think that it is a little strange that to counter grapples is R2 i really think the controlls should be the same because they were for the past like four years. Also the wrestlers have real human qualities. Well dont you think in recent games that it was weird ric flair or other week wrestlers were as good as the undertaker or kane. This is the best wrestling game in years.

This game is the best wrestling game ever to be realesed, its way better than its previous "wwe smackdown! shut your mouth". this game has evreybody in it including ultimo dragon, john cena, a-train, sable and many many more. and new matches like the elimination chamber. this game rocks you all definitly got to buy it.

I ca understand not having jeff or holgan but stone cold being the manager of raw is old news mark henrey is not there either he should be along with shane mcmahon and zach gowen who cares if the little b**ch is crippled it is way to easy to eliminate in the royal rumble and la ressistance they were around before kanes mask came off and its off in the game what about shannon moore or the APA and the dudley boys song is f***ing gay along wit that weres spike he never left ever and peoples songs like rvd's or victorias and you cant have entrances in mahes when your loked inside somthing and videoes i mean hello last game yu got to see divas in bikinies but over all the game was pretty good

graphics have improved ,game modes have improved fighting skills have improved.more than 55 superstars are there,including six man elimination chamber, bra &panties ,first blood, in which game do you have these games .this game has taken a destiny and has taken a new throwne to rule this year.

okay people this review is 100% truthful because i have the game.
first of all ppl say that there's create a belt, people there is nothing of the such. yes jeff & hogan arent on the game. and there is blood and all wepeoan use is very realistic so are big falls . here are some of the strongest ppl on the game ( they really are they have atribute points) goldberg,lesnar,taker,kane,micheals. also you can pinpoint the place you part of the body. so that pretty much raps it up.

The outcome of WWE,SD-Here Come The Pain was a little disappointed. First, no commentaries in the game,next the absent of Jeff Hardy,FBI,Hulk Hogan/Mr American,and others expected wrestlers that performed in today "Smackdown". But overall, the graphics and the sharpness of the game definatetly no doubt about it and was better than SD-ShutYour Mouth. A lot more can be expected in the next SD series.Thank THQ, for making such wonderful game.

This game is great, especialy the grafics, and new matches, of course jeff is the best wrestler on the game and as for rey he is out of this world. The different moves on the game are awsom and the finishers are mindblowing. This is defenatly the best smackdown game ever made in the history of the wwe. Smackdown for playstation has always been one of my favorite games. Myself being a big wrestling fan, i enjoy playing every minute, but i do have some doubt about this game. Don't get me wrong, it's fun as hell, but where is the commentary? Why is the same story line used for both Raw and Smackdown? Oh, and the fact that you are trying to gain superstar points and have a rating of like 55 and they put you in a match with Brock Lesnar? Thats ridiculous! But all in all, the graphics are 10 times better than before, the wrestlers theme music isn't all that great, but it works. I love the fact that the Legion of Doom is on this game. (RIP Hawk) I was sorta looking for a game that would override Shut your Mouth, but this game is basically the same as before, so i guess what i would say is that the next game that is released, may need a major "facelift". I know it could be better!!

K The reason theres no jeff hardy is because he was fired for being a drug addict...dont know about the fbi, hogan/mr.america, nidia jaimie noble and others who r not in it.....no one has really said anything about the expanded moves list this game offers..each wrestler can pull off more move now with the whole pre-grapple set-ups.....it was one of my complaints about wrestling games in the past and they r starting to fix it! yay! This game is good but like someone already said the season mode needs to things......1: To be at least 2 years not 1 like it is and 2: they realy need to start doing voice overs

Well first I havta say that I have to agree to the ppl whom are booing this game, and ppl whom are bostin' this game. YES, they are missing a lot of wrestlers and it would be kewl if Hardy, Hogan, FBT, Jamie, Nidea, etc... were in the game, but you know what? Its also really kewl, that they HAVE some wrestlers that have not been in there for a long time. They have the old school understaker, they have Pipper, and a bunch of other lengends. And yes there is NO commenting in the game. That really sucks, but u know what? theat's fine by me, b\c now u don't havta pic some dumb ass name for a create a player. There's blood in the game, there's a more realitic effect with pin pointing a part of a body. There are some more draw backs, but then again there are some big pluses, I like the game. Oh and bottum line, if u ppl out there are still pissed that there's no Hogan or who ever, just MAKE HIM!

This is the best SD game up to date. The graphics are great. The wrestler selection is the best yet. Having the ledgends really rocks. The storylines are stale but look at the wwe right now anyway, they are using stale stories. I love the grappling system and the faxt that you can now work one area of the body. Blood!!!!! The match types are awesome. What can i say other than this game rocks.

Great game.
I would much rather have legends like the Road Warriors, Roddy Piper, Ted Debiase, Jimmy Snuka,SGT. Slaughter, etc. then to have Maven, Nidia, F.B.I. and Jamie Noble. Quit whining about all the glorified jobbers that were left out.....they put legends in their place.
Would you people quit whining about not having Jeff Hardy or Hulk Hogan? They don't work for the company, what do you expect? They are not employed by the WWE. If you are just picking wrestlers who don't even work for the company to throw in the game.......why not pick wrestlers like Sting, Luger, Scott Hall and Randy Savage to whine about. They don't work for the WWE and they're not in the game either. Somebody mentioned Mankind being on a previous version of Smackdown when he wasn't wrestling.....you're correct, but he was still employed by the company. His contract didn't run out untill a good 6 months after he stopped appearing on TV as comissioner.
You can break the glass of the Elimination Chamber and get inside of it. Somebody said they should have done that....well they did. Irish whip your opponent into the glass, it will throw them through it.
I like the storylines not coinciding with the actuall tv storylines. This doesn't make the game dated like SYM. SYM took place in a certain time period...all the storylines were real, which sucked. 10 months after the game was released all of those storylines were long gone in the WWE but we still had to put up with them over and over again on the game. Don't have to worry about that now.
