When I heard about the new game i saved for months. I had been sayin what could be a better game and here it goes. the graphics are phenominal. they really took advantage of the PS2. and the crowd looks somewhat real this time! :0 it still looks like they rushed, but much better than SD SYM. No commentaries was really disappointen. no FBI, magic johnson, Hogan, and jeff hardy(even though u can make him) the tag system is diff now. when u tag u become that person. u cant let the comp do all the work now. elimination chamber and bra and panties is a nice add too. the other "new" matches were just a little diff. the storylines are amazing. very thorough. the create a wrestle expansion has grown huge. so many new choices for clothes and moves. prob is in clothes they are diff types, but same design. music and entrances are better than last time, but i really wanted roddy pipers music. rey mysterio, sean o haire, r just a few new people. the same moves from SD 4 are bak and so r most of the music. in story mode almost every other week im jumped. thats annoyin. all the titles r bak. yes, even the womens. a great feature is that u can change face and heel. i made cena a face and goldberg a heel. u can also choose whether to taunt, attack, or even respect your opponent. if it turns on u u lose SP points which determine your popularity. u also earn exp. points by wrestlin in matches. they save u time by tellin if there is someone inn the room like parking lot, traionin room, and more. much more interactive scenes, and everythin u do has a consequence.
In all this game came up short of my expectations since there wuz so much hype i expected the perfect game. im still glad i bought it and am just a bit sad. as bad as some things were, it still is a great game to buy for any wrestlin fan. there is more gopod in this game than bad.

The Smackdown! series has reached new heights.I love the new graphics, which make the characters come to life.The selection of matches is great now that there is an Elimination Chamber match.The realistic moves,the bigger ring size,and the better storylines in Season also make this game great.Another great new feature is the ability to improve a superstar's attributes through Season.The new damage meter, and the new blood feature help you to determine how badly your'e beating someone.
However,there are a few things that disappointed me.I have heard alot of people whining about Jaff Hardy and Hulk Hogan not being included in the game.Why would anyone be concerned about them when current superstars like the APA,Bashem Brothers,and the FBI were left out.And I was also hoping they would bring back the option to defend titles outside of Season.
I was also disappointed for a few other reasons.I really wanted there to be online play.It would have been great to talk trash while playing the game with people around the world.And maybe even compete for titles online.And hopefully when that day comes there won't be any cheats or codes.There should also be an option to create titles.And lastly,in future Smackdown games,I would like there to be a Buried Alive match,Biker Chain match,5 on 5 Elimination Tag match,3 and 4 Tag Team Elimination matches,Casket match,Inferno match,a 2 on 3 Handicap match,and a Stretcher match.
So in conclusion the new Smackdown game is really great,but there is always room for improvement.

This Game was Great and all but weres Jeff even though he was fired they can atleast put him in the game they did it with mankined when he was out for a long time and when he didnt wrestle i mean i think every one would wont Jeff Hardy in the game there also missing Jami Noble and Nidia they had those to in the New Wresltmaine and In Raw 2 they also are missing Maven they had him in the last one and he really didnt wrestl then but now he wrestles alot more and they dont have him in the game and there missing those dumb bashim Brothers and the dumb maniger shunekqua the S.H.I.T i mean whats up with that and were the hell is gale kim and molly holly hello and were alsnow and hardcore holly and hulk hogan and mr america there missing alot of wrestlers and the story mode come on that is to short the last one was longer thin this one and the story mode is not even up to date with wrestling today it haves all these old ones like the milk truck and the matt and lita kiss but i do like the elimination chamber but they shouled let u brake into the uther little chambers in fight in there and brake out the chamber and go on top of it that would be cool and they should let them go and fight back into the oudeanc like they did in Smack Down Just Bring it that would be alot cooler well the game is still ok it beast being bored and doing nothing

I just bought the game on the day it was released and I am happy to say its the greatest Ive played so far. There was only one thing that bothered me and that was the fact that it came out on tuesday here in wisconsin. And I bought it as soon as I could and here Im looking at the stables to match them to what they are on Tv and batistas already in Evolution. Hmmm that happened the night before I bought it, can we say storylines in the making lol. But i love the game. Great graphics, good story mode and great matches what else do you need.

Ok the game play is great. Some charecters in, some out fine. Blood, Bras, and Chamber in, very cool. Season mode superior to last years. Now on to the gripe. Whats with the music. We have had the same lame music for three smackdowns in a row. The WWE owns hundreds or wrestlers songs and we are stuck with the cheesy music from 3 smackdowns ago. Not to mention all the music they inherited from WCW and ECW. I realize they cant use the lisenced music but there are so many others to put in there. Wouldnt we all love to hear Nikoli Volkov start to sing the Russian national anthem? How about Hillbilly Jims music when he comes out. We get him in the game but not his music, that makes lots of sense. Lets include various other superstars music in the selection area. Demolition, Hart Foundation, earlier versions of the Rock and Undertaker themes. Can anyone explain to my satisfaction the poor excuse for music choices in this game?

Like I said, this game rocks! Seriously. No. Really. Much kudos to the improved CAW mode. And, finally, LEGENDS! Now I don't have to suffer through another Legends of Wrestling games to be people like the Iron Shiek and the Road Warriors. (BTW, where was FLAIR on those games?) The match types exceed expectations. Bra and panties are a little gimmicky, but fun anyway. The season mode is expanded, and I love the ability to form a faction. Its also realistic that your superstar doesnt start out all that good, and you get better as time goes along. The gameplay is a pain in the neck with lower rated wrestlers, but that makes it more realistic. The damage system is cooler than he**. Over all, I'll say it again THIS GAME ROCKS!!

It seems like some things are never good enough for some people. Don't get me wrong...out of all the legends, Hogan is my favorite. As far as Jeff Hardy goes, he hasn't been "EXTREME" for a while now. Goldberg and Shawn Michaels will drill Hogan and Hardy. Those still aren't good reasons to down play the game. The only disappointment I have with the game is the fact that Jacqueline hasn't been in any of the games since SD KYR. She's one of the toughest females in the WWE. They could have at least put her as a referee. That didn't stop me from getting the game. At least the games are progressing. They may not be able to give all of the fans everything they want but I'm sure they've taken us into consideration. Sooner or later everyone we want will be in the game. Here Comes The Pain is a great game.

I have been a wrestling fan for over the past 19 years and i have to say this is the best game yet. I love the legends even tho i wished they had their original entros. and i would have loved to see Hogan,Randy Savage,Bret Hart and The Ultimate Warrior as Legends as well. The bra & panties what can i say about that except someone deserves a raise for thinking about that and the Chamber great assit to the game. the blood great and the grappling system was changed for the better because now you have even more moves. the graphics A+, over all game play well lets just say i got the game the first day it came out and the only time I've gotten off of it was to type this review. Long live Wrestling and Smackdown Games

I desided to take my time with the game and and really play it before I gave my review. I played through career mode and did all the exhibition type matches. Everything was perfect. The A.I. is great, the blood effect is spectacular and the graphics aren't too bad either. This is a great game all around but with only one flaw. There are wrestlers missing in the game. If you look at the current wrestling roster and at the roster in the game you will see a big difference. If you are a wrestling fan then this would bother you, but if your just buying the game for the gameplay then you'll be fine. In the end I am only gonna give it a 9 out of 10, only because I am a wrestling freak and I need my complete roster.

So far we' ve had wresling in the crowd(Just Bring It) and that sucked. Then it was the "Best Hell In the Cell" (Shut Your Mouh) Got to admit it Hell in the Cell is a cool match shut your mouth had the best hell in the Cell up to now.Not only is hell in the cell better on here comes the pain but it has elimination chamber
and a better story mode.This is with out a shadow of a doubt the best damn wrestling game up to date, to wrestling fans the best game period.

Withouth Hogan and Jeff the game is still gonna be the best ever game i haven't played it yet but i've looked at almost every site there is talkin about this game and well it's the one to buy Blood??? that the best but i don't think it's gonna be as good as the elimination chamber or bra and panties but that doesn't matter the graphics look amazing and i hear the sound and everything else is great so i'm looking forward to buying this game when it's released... in smackdown 6 they should put a buried alive match, retiring match, mud match and rope match where they tie a rope on to each others arms and wrestle that would be cool. and for the wrestlers i hope they put more legends in the next one like savage, put hogan in the game ,bret hard ppl like that but i still think that this game is good they got alot of legends in there... and the story mode i heard it's suppose to be like real wrestling story mode thats wicked... well i just can't wait to buy this game if u don't get it i think ur stupid it's worth the price!!!

First of all, that guy named Matty from Australia is gay, i no him, he stole cheese. HCTP will be a great game, its better than SYM, better than Raw 2 and much better than the crapy $#< remove me > at ! hole WrestleMania XIX. Its wicked how they have added the legends and a more better Season mode. If they added Jeff Hardy & Hogan (or Mr.America) Anyone could have re-done the Pay-Per-Views like WrestleMania XIX, No Way Out, Royal Rumble, Backlash & Judgment Day.
But at least this is the best wrestling game for the WWE so far. And it will also be wicked if they have Kane's New Entrance song and in Create - A - Superstar mode, it will be wicked if you could create Therdore Long (Teddy Long) that would be wicked.
Make sure to get this game. I am next friday (7th November)

This game is pretty damn cool. The screen shots are great and adding the legends was very cool. Roddy Piper is in the game! That's the ONLY reason I bought it right away! He's already US and Tag Champs in my game. And who really gives a rats ass about Jeff hardy??? He's a punk anyway. And Hogan?? Get real. You want Hogan?? Play the other Smackdown game. As for not having all the otheres people listed. Come on now. Who the hell wants to play as Scotty 2 Hotty or Shaniqua!?!?!?!? Some of you are bitching why aren't they wearing this or why aren't they doing that. Gimmie a break. All in all a great game and I like it. And all others who don't agree with what I have to say. F#ck Off!

The graphics are aswesome and now they acually have blood i think who ever likes wrestling should buy this game.... it has great storie lines an good moves and allot more... i just got it the other day and i've been playing it non stop u hurr so go down to yuor local wal mart and pick up a copy don't miss it is the best GAME EVA

Smackdown has done it again!! Once again they have realeased the best wrestling game of the year. It's hard to believe that the same company that brings us this series also makes WXIX and RAW2.
This game is hands down always better then any other. Improvements can be found in nearly every section of the game. Player models look great. Finally we have BLOOD!!! And plenty of weapons to draw that blood. Match Types are enough to make a grown man cry. Elimination Chamber *MUAH* You bring me much happiness. Additional joy can be found in the season mode. Yet another vastly improved area of an already jam packed title. With classic, current, and new storylines made just for HCTP. Season mode is an addictive and gratifying experience. From picking what show you want to wrestle on, to building your own faction. Season mode is where it's at. And what could be sweeter than capturing WWE gold? Isn't that what this crazy sport we love is all about? It's all here in dynamic fashion. All the glitz, glamour, and hard hitting moves you can handle. Create a Wrestler has basically been left in tact. It is much the same as the previous effort with some additions. Which is actually a good thing as Smackdown's CAW just keeps getting better. It's good to see that THQ recognizes how important this mode is to the game. As it shells out another all-star effort. In the sound department, well let's just say no big improvements here. Most of the Superstars have offical themes, while others have generic themes similar to the're authentic ones. The in ring sounds are great though. The sound of the mat is great!!

smackdown here comes the pain adds the brutal never knowing whats going to happen back to wrestling. from the new legends to the improverd grappling this is the best gaame i have ever played. Don't get me started with the new improve vs screen were they do there post match taunts. And the graphics have improved so much now plus the blood is incredible. i love busting them open and working on there body just to see the pain. the grapples make it better for giving us more moves to choice i believe that i can't be beat. and it makes those other new wrestling game look like a gameboy game. finally if u don't get this classic you have got to be dumb its th best .

HCTP is DEFINITELY the best WWE game I have ever played. The grappling is a little odd and hard to understand at first, but that's not a really big deal. The graphics are incredible, and I LOVE the new elimination chamber and bra & panties matches. I wish there were more wrestlers (both former and current). If they were putting in wrestlers from the old World Wrestling Federation days, they should have included the 3 faces of Foley, among others. Overall it's a fantastic game. Make this #1 on your wishlist!!!

Jeff Hardy IS an unlockable character, as he is a CAW template. And I think the decision to leave Hogan out of the game was good, even though he's probably a CAW template too. Stone Cold Steve Austin was on the game last year because the game was already too late into development to remove him from it, but given the amount of time between the realeasing of Hardy and the games release date, I'm not suprized he's just a CAW.

i hven't played this game yet but from what i've been reading this one is going to blow me away. i give this game a 10+ and that's cuz i haven't even played it yet. First match i'm doing is Taker vs. vince just to bust him open, put him in a last ride, and get the pin. I think the fact that they allow you to bleed in this game just makes it that much more exciting, it was about time. i've read that alot of characters are missing but i mean none of the best ones r gone espcially one of my favorites

Wrestling is my way of unwinding in life every monday i put my t.v. on surround and kick back with my chick she's crazy bout wrestling to so i know she'll love pulling litas shirt right in the new bra and panties match (thats awesome i know i will).
so in conculsion wwe thanks for everything i know this game will bring happiness to people every where, cuz the smack down games have brought and my brothers closer we always play shut your mouth and soon will be chilling while paly here come the pain. so wwe says here comes the pain, isay "just bring it"
