Finally Smackdown has come back to the PS2. Here comes the pain. Yes it’s true, it’s damn true, finally, and I do mean finally Hulk Hogan was left out of a Smackdown game. I have waited forever for that no good waste of space jack < remove me > at $$ to be left out of a game. Hogan is what brought down the ratings of the other Smackdown games. Can you believe it there is now blood in the Smackdown version of wrestling games is that cool or is that cool. Now I think I can speak for most guys when I say bring on the Bra & Panties. Tell me in what other game can you see two girls go at it ripping off each others clothes. The elimination chamber, what can I say about that. It is the most incredible no disqualification match there has ever been in gaming history. The season mode is a lot better than before, in this game you can have a lot more control of your character. The season it self is like the games before, on the fact that you can't beat it in one day. I found that you can play the season mode, and do things you haven’t before. This game has everything imaginable, including a great some of WWE Legends, like the Old School Undertaker. Is it just me, though I’m hoping not but do the graphics just keep getting better and better? I feel that this game is much more detailed than the previous Smackdown games. The controls may be just a little different, but there a lot better. Now you can have twice as many moves than you could have before, which is great in create mode, for your created superstar. The music listened to during game play I feel is better that last time of course. Now you can see that WWE Smackdown Here Comes the Pain is the best Smackdown game in WWE History. That the bottom line because SB2 said so.

i got the brand new wwe smackdown game. It is awesome. The elimination chamber is great, first blood is bad ass, and bra and panty match is sooo cool. The evolution is in the game. the legends are in the game. This game blows smackdown 1,2,3, and 4 out of the water. I recommend this game to all the wwe fans. don't get backyard wrestling game, it sucks donkey balls

the graphics are great but there is one thing wrong. The comment that the story mode is longer is a lie it is the same or shorter. I bought the game at 5:00 and played till about 2:00 in the morning with Goldberg in the season mode and it started the season mode the monday after wrestlemania and played it until i got to wrestlemania again i fought for the title and won and if you played the season mode you know when it starts in the empty arena saying its "UNBELIEVABLE" after wrestlemania 1 year it goes right back to the empty arena say some stuff then it loads and goes to the credits (end of game

smackdown 5 is the best one eve. The graphic is has improved alot from the previous smackdown. The matches are tight espeacially the chamber match and the bra & panties. The wrestler are has improved, well some of them. THQ has done very well job. I don't know why THQ didn't put some of the wreslters such as rosi, jamal and some others.

The game rocks. If my brother was still alive he would play it everyday. The only thing i donm't like is how if u have a manager they don't come out with you. But other than that IT IS AWESOME. Game play rocks, story line rocks. Entrances rock, it all rocks. Go GET ONE> HERE COMES THE PAIN!!

I just bought it last night and played it for a couple of hours and found it an improvement over SYM due to the graphics and game play. It's a lot harder (more challenging) than SYM as I managed to get my ass kicked by Jericho and that never happened before!!Only thing that I was disappointed in was some aspects of the Create mode. All of the outfit options were mindboggling but The body and face types are exactly the same as in SYM along with most of the hair and facila hair options. Those still suck.
Also, it takes forever to create a character (I spent 2 hours making 5) and the music was annoying. Overall I am pretty sure that it is going to kick major < remove me > at $$ and I am happy with it so far.

This game has the best graphics i have ever seen. I will not be mistaken but they left out hogan, jeff, and the worlds strongest man henry. What kind of wrestling game would it be without that crazy ass nega jeff hardy. Thats the only thing about the game, that jeff hardy does the swantom bomb every where. If they would have put jeff hardy in this game this game will be the best crazy ass game ever.

this game is one of the best ever made . this game got graphics and all that otha cool ness. hogan and jeff hardy would only make the game boring . although a little sexual chocolate wouldn't hurt nothin. well i think that john cena is the greatest. i mean he stri\ong and da bomb . well if you ain't got this game go buy it right now. $50 bux ain't no thang go get the game and spend a week playin it till you beat it. i got it the day it came out and its da bomb oh yeah i also recommend celbrity deathmatch. peace out homies.

The new smackdown game is great. as far as not having hogan in it so what? Hogan was just in the right place at the right time. He doesn't even have much of a wrestling abillity just about all he does is a leg drp and the big boot. personally i found those movesto be rather boring. No doubt he's the bigest name in wrestling tho. i cant wait to get HCTPi've ben waiting for a smackdown game to come out that has the greatest tag team ever...the Road Worriors. its great that it has legends in in. 10 all the way

Well i think that here comes the pain is overall the best smackdown that has yet to come out. There are some low points such as hogan and hardy being left out this time around but the game has lots and lots of high points. The graphics are amazing you can actually see a very close resemblence to the real wwe superstars. The story mode is by far the best one. If you are looking to by a game buy this one. if you are looking to buy something different buy this game any way. And thats the bottom line cause stone cold said so. And if you dont like it you can just get the F out, so holla if you here me.

First of all, to all the idiots ranting about certain superstars not being in the game, stop being such wusses and go into CAW mode and MAKE them. All the parts are there. Oh, boo-hoo, you don't have Jeff's music. WAHHHH! The actual GAMEPLAY is amazing, the graphics are as good as it gets on PS2 (and give the XBox a run for it's money) and the season mode is the most in-depth yet. In short, this game is what RAW 2 should have been (the gameplay on RAW 2 stinks. It's one reason I sold my XBox!) and the season makes the story mode on Wrestlemania (GCN) look ridiculous. The only gripe I have is that the ring announcer has been removed, so the intros don't say your name- If they could only make the ring announcing like it is on RAW 2 or Legends of Wrestling (their only good feature) it would be perfect. Online would be nice too... Maybe next year?

wwe smackdown! here comes the pain is the most exciting game i have ever heard of! it has all the matches and story lines that i could of ever dreamed of. if you ever decide to get a game get this cos when i read all your reviews it really changed my opinion on how everyone thinks! yeh Jeff Hardy left but that doesn't mean kick him out of the game, for example super joe snooka left years ago but i heard that he is an unlockable character and no one really knows anything about him except that he jumped from really high structures but so did Jeff so if you really ask me i think and so does alot of fans if you bring back super joe snooka then bring back jeff as an unlockable. if you decide not to put Jeff in then i dont see the reason to put in hulk or maven cos those guys really SUCK!!!!!. finally i think that without Jeff your not going to get team extreme, your not going to get the best high flying manuver and without jeff you will disapoint many fans.

Dispite what everyone may say about the game the bottom line is that its a good one. Here comes the pain is a great game but, alot of wrestlers are missing, the gameplay is somewhat slower that the previous ones, and, the loading is alot longer. I just get the feeling that it was rushed along, but that wont stop me from playing. Its by far the best wresling game out right now but, it could have been alot better.

Create them! i think we can all agree that Smackdown does not have the best Creating system, but if it bothers you that much that they are not on there that you dont want to buy it, dont. leave the game for somone who is not going to be a whinny little girl!! P.S. I Work at GameStop and i got the game before you all! mwhahahahaha, have fun guys!

I got it from EB games i pre-ordered it and got it today yes!!!
there are a few key wrestlers missing but i can always create them hahaha the game is great because it is so hard to play a match half the time your on the ground feeling the pain its a hard game to play so it will be a challenge it came up to 75.00 in total well gotta go back to playing it next time they make one no legends and more of the actual wrestlers they didnt put in here comes the pain well see ya this game rocks

This latest installment of Smackdown should turn out to be one of the greatest wrestling games to date. With the additions of the Elimination Chamber, Bra & Panties, and even blood; this game should go down in the books. My problem is one simple fact, NO HULK HOGAN!!!! How can you make this game without him? Smackdown games are based on Wrestlemanias, Hogan and Vince was THE match for Wrestlemania 19. I guess what really angers me is the fact that he was in it and they took him out. Hogan is the best EVER, if you think different, you don't know crap. Another thing is the legends on this game, true they do have some of the greats, but not all. They took out Hogan, they took out The Warrior, and forgot such greats as Macho Man, Jake The Snake, Ravishing Rick Rude, Andre The Giant, Brutus Beefcake, and so forth. They put little effort into areas like these and these things(Hogan and The Legends)that will make this game partially pathetic. I am disgusted with WWE and THQ for putting out a game with good and such bad.
